ObjectivesDistributed photovoltaic power prediction is of great significance for the operation and scheduling of photovoltaic power plants. Point prediction methods are difficult to comprehensively describe the uncertainty of distributed photovoltaic power. This article proposed a distributed photovoltaic power interval prediction model based on complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (CEEMDAN) and sparrow search algorithm optimized least squares support vector machine (SSA-LSSVM).MethodsFirstly, the photovoltaic sequence was broken down into multimodal components through CEEMDAN, and then the high-frequency non-stationary components obtained from the first decomposition were decomposed twice. Secondly, sample entropy (SE) was used to reconstruct all components into trend and oscillation components. Then, the point prediction values of the two components were obtained through SSA-LSSVM. Finally, the probability density estimation was performed on the point prediction error of the oscillation component, and the stacked point prediction value was used to obtain the overall prediction interval result.ResultsThe interval prediction model proposed in this paper has higher interval coverage and narrower average interval width.ConclusionsAdding secondary modal decomposition to distributed photovoltaic power data processing and combining sample entropy to reconstruct its sub-sequences can effectively reduce the complexity of the original prediction components and improve the accuracy of model prediction.

Objective To determine the effect of enamel matrix derivative (EMD) on remineralization of artificial root dentin caries. Methods Bovine root dentin blocks were placed in a demineralization solution to create artificial root dentin carious lesions. The lesions were then randomly divided into EMD group (30 g/L EMD, the experimental group), sodium fluoride (NaF) aqueous solution group (1 g/L NaF, the positive control group) and distilled and deionised water (DDW) group (the negative control group), and all the lesions were pH-cycled at 6 cycles per day for 8 d. Morphology of the lesions were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and polarized light microscopy (PLM). Transverse microradiography (TMR) was used to examine mineral loss, lesion depth and mineral content. Results After pH-cycling, the surface morphology by SEM and the vertical morphology by PLM suggested that EMD and NaF treatment, but not DDW, caused mineral accumulation of artificial root dentin caries. Meanwhile, TMR revealed significantly lower mineral loss, shallower lesion depth and more mineral content in the EMD group than the DDW group (P < 0.05) after pH-cycling. Conclusion EMD can significantly promote remineralization of root dentin caries in vitro, and is a promising agent for non-invasive root caries therapy. Abstract Stroke, the second leading cause of death and disability, causes massive cell death in the brain followed by secondary inflammatory injury initiated by disease associated molecular patterns released from dead cells. Nonetheless, the evidence regarding the causal relationship between inflammatory cytokines and stroke subtypes is obscure. To leverage large scale genetic association data to investigate the interplay between circulating cytokines and stroke, we adopted a two-sample bi-directional Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. Firstly, we performed a forward MR analysis to examine the associations of genetically determined 31 cytokines with 6 stroke subtypes. Secondly, we conducted a reverse MR analysis to check the associations of 6 stroke subtypes with 31 cytokines. In the forward MR analysis, genetic evidence suggests that 21 cytokines were significantly associated with certain stroke subtype risk with |β| ranging from 1.90 × 10−4 to 0.74. In the reverse MR analysis, our results found that five stroke subtypes (intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), large artery atherosclerosis ischemic stroke (LAAS), lacunar stroke (LS), cardioembolic ischemic stroke (CEI), small-vessel ischemic stroke (SV)) caused significantly changes in 16 cytokines with |β| ranging from 1.08 × 10−4 to 0.69. In particular, those five stroke subtypes were statistically significantly associated with C-reactive protein (CRP). In addition, ICH, LAAS, LS and SV were significantly correlated with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), while LAAS, LS, CEI and SV were significantly related to fibroblast growth factor (FGF). Moreover, integrated bi-directional MR analysis, these factors (IL-3Rα, IL-6R, IL-6Rα, IL-1Ra, insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1), IL-12Rβ2) can be used as predictors of some specific stroke subtypes. As well as, IL-16 and C–C motif chemokine receptor 7 (CCR7) can be used as prognostic factors of stroke. Our findings prognostic identify potential pharmacological opportunities, including perturbation of circulating cytokines for both predicting stroke risk and post stroke treatment effects. As we conducted a comprehensive search and analysis of stroke subtype and cytokines in the existing publicly available GWAS database, the results have good population-generalizability.

The dorsomedial prefrontal cortex (dmPFC) plays a crucial role in social cognitive functions, including perspective-taking. Although perspective-taking has been linked to self-control, the mechanism by which the dmPFC might facilitate self-control remains unclear. Using the multimodal neuroimaging dataset from the Human Connectome Project (Study 1, N =978 adults), we established a reliable association between the dmPFC and self-control, as measured by discounting rate—the tendency to prefer smaller, immediate rewards over larger, delayed ones. Experiments (Study 2, N = 36 adults) involving high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation showed that anodal stimulation of the dmPFC reduces the discounting of delayed rewards and decreases the congruency effect in egocentric but not allocentric perspective in the visual perspective-taking tasks. These findings suggest that the dmPFC promotes self-control by inhibiting the egocentric perspective, offering new insights into the neural underpinnings of self-control and perspective-taking, and opening new avenues for interventions targeting disorders characterized by impaired self-regulation.

ObjectiveThis study aims to investigate the relationship between the lipid accumulation product (LAP) index and total femur bone mineral density (BMD), while also examining the mediating role of the poverty-income ratio (PIR).MethodsUsing the most recent data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 2009 to 2020, multivariate logistic regression models were employed in this study to investigate the relationship between the LAP index and total femur BMD. Saturation effects and potential non-linear associations were examined using a smooth curve-fitting approach to determine saturation levels. Interaction tests and subgroup analyses were also performed. Additionally, a mediation analysis was conducted to explore the mediating role of PIR.ResultsThree thousand two hundred and twenty three participants aged 20 years or older were recruited for this study. Multivariate regression analysis demonstrated a greater total femur BMD in individuals with a high LAP index. Additionally, analysis of the saturation effect and smooth curve fitting identified a clear saturation effect between the LAP index and total femur BMD. A saturation value of 16.05 was determined when investigating the relationship between the LAP index and total femur BMD. Subgroup analysis revealed no significant interaction effects after adjusting for covariates. Avoiding the upward-bending hook is a highly pressing and challenging task in the field of similar aluminum alloys friction stir lap welding (FSLW). To enhance formation quality and then obtain the welded lap joint with high tensile shear load, a novel impacting flow FSLW (IF-FSLW) process based on the X-shape reverse-threaded pin was proposed in this study. Three welding tools with different tool geometry parameters were developed to analyze how the locations of the materials accumulated zone (MAZ) influenced the joint formation and the joint loading capacity, and 7B04 aluminum alloys were chosen as research subject. Results showed that the horizontally-impacting and vertically-impacting effects of MAZ on and above the original lap interface made the hook respectively present the forky structure at the end and the downward-bending morphology, and the horizontally-impacting effect of MAZ made the stir zone (SZ) have a protruding morphology near the MAZ. Under the tensile fracture mode, the IF-FSLW joint under configuration A had a greatly heightened tensile shear load under the combined actions of the downward-bending hook and the enlarged SZ. The tensile shear load of IF-FSLW joint reached 8.62 kN/mm under the reasonable combination of tool geometry parameters and welding process parameters. The IF-FSLW process by the X-shape reverse-threaded pin provides an effective way to obtain a superb-strength lap joint of aluminum alloys.

In order to clarify the controlling effect of different packaging materials on common storage pests, the penetration and survival of 7 kinds of high density polyethylene films with different concentrations of deltamethrin by the larvae of 3 common species of stored grain pests (Tribolium castaneum (Herbst), Tribolium confusum Duval and Lasioderma serricorne (Fabricius)) were investigated after being treated by two penetration methods for different times at 27~29 ℃ and 70%~80% RH. The results showed that all the tested new insect-proof films had certain insect resistance capabilities, which were different based on species of stored grain insects. In addition, the insect resistance capability of the 6 kinds of new films containing chemicals was higher than that of the control films after 9 days of treatment, and the anti-penetration rate of 1% A (HDPE particle containing 5% deltamethrin by mass) film, 3% A film, 1% B (HDPE particle containing 5% deltamethrin and 2% isoethers by mass) film and 3% B film was 100% under two penetration modes. The survival rate of all three species larvae decreased with increasing treatment time. After 9 days of parallel penetration treatment, the survival rate of three species of larvae on 3%B film was significantly lower than that of other films, and the survival rate of L. serricorne larvae reduced to 10% at the lowest. According to the penetration resistance and larvae survival rate of the test insects on the films, 3% B film had the best insect control effectiveness.

A semiconductor nanomaterial was prepared and its degradation efficiency on zearalenone (ZEN) was investigated. The photocatalytic material, graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4), was synthesized by the conventional thermal cracking method, and its structure was analyzed by (X-ray diffraction) XRD, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The photocatalytic degradation experiments showed that g-C3N4 induced photocatalytic effects under ultraviolet light (254 nm, including 185 nm), releasing reactive oxygen radicals to degrade ZEN. The experimental conditions for the photocatalytic degradation of ZEN were explored. The results showed that the degradation rate of ZEN was 96.0% when the mass of the photocatalytic material , the wavelength of the UV lamp, the initial concentration and the irradiation time were 20 mg, 254 nm (50 W), 0.5 μg/mL and 60 min, respectively. Meanwhile, the experimental conditions for the photocatalytic degradation of ZEN powder samples were optimized. The results showed that the degradation rate of ZEN was 80.0% when the mass of the photocatalytic material, the wavelength of the UV lamp, and the irradiation time were 800 mg, 254 nm (50 W) and 50 min, respectively. The results could provide a theoretical reference and practical basis for the photocatalytic degradation of ZEN.

Herein, we elucidate the potential role of ANO6 (TMEM16F) in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs). ANO6 expression in GIST and adjacent normal tissues was determined using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) and western blotting. Cell proliferation, apoptosis, and pyroptosis were examined utilizing 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP Nick-End Labeling staining, and flow cytometry. In addition, the total iron and Fe2+ levels were assessed. IL-18 and IL-1β levels were also evaluated. Lipid reactive oxygen species (ROS), cystine (Cys), glutathione (GSH), and glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) levels were evaluated using appropriate kits. Ferroptotic markers, including Ptgs2, Chac1, SLC7A11, and SLC3A2, were analyzed by RT-qPCR, western blotting, and immunohistochemistry. ANO6 expression decreased in GIST tissues. ANO6-plasmid inhibits proliferation, induces apoptosis, and promotes pyroptosis in GIST-T1 and GIST-T1 IR cells. The ANO6-plasmid induced ferroptosis, as confirmed by enhanced lipid ROS levels, increased intracellular concentrations of total iron and Fe2+, promoted Ptgs2 and Chac1 expression, reduced Cys, GSH, and GPX4 levels, and downregulated SLC7A11 and SLC3A2 expression after in vitro and in vivo treatment with ANO6-plasmid. Moreover, the ANO6-plasmid inhibited GIST growth in vivo. Therefore, ANO6 may be a promising therapeutic target for blocking the development of GIST via the induction of apoptosis, pyroptosis, and ferroptosis.

Fusarium infection of wheat can lead to scab, mycotoxin contamination and yield reduction. Fusarium is a serious threat to food security. In this study, the Fusarium strains in wheat were isolated and identified. The three strains N1, N2 and N3 belonged to Fusarium graminearum, Fusarium asiaticum and Fusarium culmatum, respectively. The production of zearalenone, vomitoxin and fumonisin by the three strains was analyzed by toxin-producing gene detection and mycotoxin detection. The results showed that N1 and N3 could produce zearalenone and vomitoxin, but did not produce fumonisin, while N2 did not produce these three toxins. In this study, ozone and chlorine dioxide were further used for gas fumigation to explore the effect of gas fumigation on the three strains isolated. By observing the spore morphology, mycelium length and mycelium morphology, the results showed that chlorine dioxide fumigation could effectively inhibit the growth of mycelium and spore germination, while ozone could only inhibit spore germination and had no obvious inhibitory effect on the growth of mycelium.

Background In some resource-limited regions, the placement of tunneled dialysis catheters (TDC) is often preferred under ultrasound guidance rather than fluoroscopy. This study compared ultrasound-and digital subtraction angiography-guided (DSA)-guided TDC in renal replacement therapy.Methods This retrospective cohort study included all TDC placements performed at our hospital between January 2020 and October 2022. We utilized 1:1 propensity score matching (PSM) to balance the demographic and clinical characteristics of the DSA-guided and ultrasound-guided groups. Dialysis prescriptions and actual dialysis completion were assessed using intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC). Multivariable logistic regression analyses determined the risk factors for early termination of dialysis. The differences in adverse events, catheter function, and catheter tip position were evaluated between the two groups.Results The study included 261 patients (142 in the DSA-guided group and 119 in the ultrasound-guided group). After PSM, 91 patients were included in each group, with no significant baseline differences (p > .1). Both groups achieved adequate catheter blood flow and ultrafiltration volumes without deviations from dialysis prescriptions (ICC ≥ 0.75). The DSA-guided group had fewer early dialysis terminations than the ultrasound-guided group (3.3 vs. 12.0%, p = .026). ABSTRACTAdherent-invasive Escherichia coli (AIEC) strain LF82, isolated from patients with Crohn’s disease, invades gut epithelial cells, and replicates in macrophages contributing to chronic inflammation. In this study, we found that RstAB contributing to the colonization of LF82 in a mouse model of chronic colitis by promoting bacterial replication in macrophages. By comparing the transcriptomes of rstAB mutant- and wild-type when infected macrophages, 83 significant differentially expressed genes in LF82 were identified. And we identified two possible RstA target genes (csgD and asr) among the differentially expressed genes. The electrophoretic mobility shift assay and quantitative real-time PCR confirmed that RstA binds to the promoters of csgD and asr and activates their expression. csgD deletion attenuated LF82 intracellular biofilm formation, and asr deletion reduced acid tolerance compared with the wild-type. Acidic pH was shown by quantitative real-time PCR to be the signal sensed by RstAB to activate the expression of csgD and asr. We uncovered a signal transduction pathway whereby LF82, in response to the acidic environment within macrophages, activates transcription of the csgD to promote biofilm formation, and activates transcription of the asr to promote acid tolerance, promoting its replication within macrophages and colonization of the intestine. This finding deepens our understanding of the LF82 replication regulation mechanism in macrophages and offers new perspectives for further studies on AIEC virulence mechanisms.

Characterizing the dynamic mechanical properties of spinal cord tissue is deemed important for developing a comprehensive knowledge of the mechanisms underlying spinal cord injury. However, complex viscoelastic properties are vastly underexplored due to the spinal cord shows heterogeneous properties. To investigate regional differences in the biomechanical properties of spinal cord, we provide a mechanical characterization method (i.e., dynamic mechanical analysis) that facilitates robust measurement of spinal cord ex vivo, at small deformations, in the dynamic regimes. Load-unload cycles were applied to the tissue surface at sinusoidal frequencies of 0.05, 0.10, 0.50 and 1.00 Hz ex vivo within 2 h post mortem. We report the main response features (e.g., nonlinearities, rate dependencies, hysteresis and conditioning) of spinal cord tissue dependent on anatomical origin, and quantify the viscoelastic properties through the measurement of peak force, moduli, and hysteresis and energy loss. For all three anatomical areas (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal cord tissues), the compound, storage, and loss moduli responded similarly to increasing strain rates. Notably, the complex modulus values of ex vivo spinal cord tissue rose nonlinearly with rising test frequency. Additionally, at every strain rate, it was shown that the tissue in the thoracic spinal cord was significantly more rigid than the tissue in the cervical or lumbar spinal cord, with compound modulus values roughly 1.5-times that of the lumbar region. At strain rates between 0.05 and 0.50 Hz, tan δ values for thoracic (that is, 0.26, 0.25, 0.06, respectively) and lumbar (that is, 0.27, 0.25, 0.07, respectively) spinal cord regions were similar, respectively, which were higher than cervical (that is, 0.21, 0.21, 0.04, respectively) region. The conditioning effects tend to be greater at relative higher deformation rates. Interestingly, no marked difference of conditioning ratios is observed among all three anatomical regions, regardless of loading rate. These findings lay a foundation for further comparison between healthy and diseased spinal cord to the future development of spinal cord scaffold and helps to advance our knowledge of neuroscience.

Rapid and accurate determination of pigment content is important for quality inspection of spinach leaves during storage. This study aimed to use hyperspectral imaging at two spectral ranges (visible/near-infrared, VNIR: 400–1000 nm; NIR: 900–1700 nm) to simultaneously determine the pigment (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll, and carotenoids) content in spinach stored at different durations and conditions (unpackaged and packaged). Partial least squares (PLS), back propagation neural network (BPNN) and convolutional neural network (CNN) were used to establish single-task and multi-task regression models. Single-task CNN (STCNN) models and multi-task CNN (MTCNN) models obtained better performances than the other models. The models using VNIR spectra were superior to those using NIR spectra. The overall results indicated that hyperspectral imaging with multi-task learning could predict the quality attributes of spinach simultaneously for spinach quality inspection under various storage conditions. This research will guide food quality inspection by simultaneously inspecting multiple quality attributes.

Linear chlorinated phosphazene acid is prepared using PCl5 and NH4Cl as raw materials. Using hexaethylcyclotrisiloxane as the monomer, 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane or 1,3-divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane as the end-capping agent, and linear chlorinated phosphazene acid as the catalyst, polydiethylsiloxane oligomers terminated with active Si-H or Si-CH=CH2 groups have been prepared. Using hexaethylcyclotrisiloxane and 1,3,5,7-octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane as comonomers, 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane or hexamethyldisiloxane as the end-capping agent, or using hexaethylcyclotrisiloxane and octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane as comonomers, 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane as the end-capping agent, copolymers containing active Si-H bonds and dimethylsiloxane segments have been prepared under the catalysis of linear chlorinated phosphazene acid. The effects of catalyst dosage, reaction temperature, reaction time, end-capping agent, and polymerization monomer dosage on polymer yield and structure were investigated. Using 300 ppm of linear chlorinated phosphazene acid, oligomers and copolymers containing an active Si-H bond and diethylsiloxane segment were prepared under mild conditions. The molecular weight of the obtained polymers was close to their designed values, but their PDI values were small. The highest yield of α, ω-bisdimethylsiloxyl-terminated PDES oligomers reached 93%. Using oligomers and copolymers containing Si-H bonds and diethylsiloxane segments as crosslinkers, a silicone gel containing diethylsiloxane segments was prepared by hydrosilylation reaction. With the introduction of a diethylsiloxane segment, the glass transition temperature of the silicone gel decreased relative to that of the PDMS oligomer, but the temperature at 5% weight loss in nitrogen atmosphere decreased from 347 °C to 312 °C. The mechanism of the ring-opening polymerization of hexaethylcyclotrisiloxane catalyzed by linear chlorinated phosphazene acid is also discussed.

Na5V12O32 is an attractive cathode candidate for aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) by virtue of its low-cost and high specific capacity (>300 mAh g−1). However, its intrinsically inferior electronic conductivity and structural instability result in an unfavorable rate performance and cyclability. Herein, K-doped Na5V12O32 (KNVO) was developed to promote its ionic/electronic migration, and thus enhance the Zn2+ storage capability. The as-produced KNVO displays a superior capacity of 353.5 mAh g−1 at 0.1 A g−1 and an excellent retentive capacity of 231.8 mAh g−1 after 1000 cycles at 5 A g−1. Even under a high mass of 5.3 mg cm−2, the KNVO cathode can still maintain a capacity of 220.5 mAh g−1 at 0.1 A g−1 and outstanding cyclability without apparent capacity decay after 2000 cycles. In addition, the Zn2+ storage kinetics of the KNVO cathode is investigated through multiple analyses.

Abstract Currently, there is a lack of effective treatments for spinal cord injury (SCI), a debilitating medical condition associated with enduring paralysis and irreversible neuronal damage. Extradural decompression of osseous as well as soft tissue components has historically been the principal objective of surgical procedures. Nevertheless, this particular surgical procedure fails to tackle the intradural compressive alterations that contribute to secondary SCI. Here, we propose an early intrathecal decompression strategy and evaluate its role on function outcome, tissue sparing, inflammation, and tissue stiffness after SCI. Durotomy surgery significantly promoted recovery of hindlimb locomotor function in an open‐field test. Radiological analysis suggested that lesion size and tissue edema were significantly reduced in animals that received durotomy. Relative to the group with laminectomy alone, the animals treated with a durotomy had decreased cavitation, scar formation, and inflammatory responses at 4 weeks after SCI. An examination of the mechanical properties revealed that durotomy facilitated an expeditious restoration of the injured tissue's elastic rigidity. In general, early decompressive durotomy could serve as a significant strategy to mitigate the impairments caused by secondary injury and establish a more conducive microenvironment for prospective cellular or biomaterial transplantation.

Summary: Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) is the most common causative agent of urinary tract infection (UTI). UPEC invades bladder epithelial cells (BECs) via fusiform vesicles, escapes into the cytosol, and establishes biofilm-like intracellular bacterial communities (IBCs). Nucleoside-diphosphate kinase (NDK) is secreted by pathogenic bacteria to enhance virulence. However, whether NDK is involved in UPEC pathogenesis remains unclear. Here, we find that the lack of ndk impairs the colonization of UPEC CFT073 in mouse bladders and kidneys owing to the impaired ability of UPEC to form IBCs. Furthermore, we demonstrate that NDK inhibits caspase-1-dependent pyroptosis by consuming extracellular ATP, preventing superficial BEC exfoliation, and promoting IBC formation. UPEC utilizes the reactive oxygen species (ROS) sensor OxyR to indirectly activate the regulator integration host factor, which then directly activates ndk expression in response to intracellular ROS. Here, we reveal a signaling transduction pathway that UPEC employs to inhibit superficial BEC exfoliation, thus facilitating acute UTI.

IntroductionPatient satisfaction is a crucial metric to gauge the quality of medical services, but the psychological factors influencing patient satisfaction remain insufficiently explored.MethodsThis study examines these psychological factors by applying the theory of bounded rationality to 1,442 inpatients in Hangzhou, China, whose data were collected using a questionnaire. One-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression were used to analyze patient satisfaction and its associated factors. Additionally, the path analysis of the structural equation model revealed the mechanisms behind the key psychological factors that influenced patient satisfaction.ResultsMedical risk perception, the social cognition of the medical environment, and social desirability bias had significant positive impacts on patient satisfaction. By contrast, negative emotions had a significant negative impact on patient satisfaction. Notably, patients’ negative emotions had both a suppressive effect and a positive moderating effect on the relationship between medical risk perception and patient satisfaction. Similarly, social desirability bias had a suppressive effect on the correlation between the social cognition of the medical environment and patient satisfaction, albeit with a negative moderating effect.DiscussionThese results suggest that when evaluating and improving patient satisfaction, accounting only for the factors that directly influence medical service quality is insufficient, as the indirect and moderating effects of patients’ negative emotions and the social cognition of the medical environment must also be considered. Medical service providers should thus address patients’ negative emotions, establish good doctor–patient relationships, optimize service environments, provide managers with medical risk education and training on negative emotions, and prioritize patient-centered care. Additionally, the government and relevant health departments should optimize medical policies, enhance fairness and accessibility, and create a positive social cognitive environment through public education and awareness campaigns.

BackgroundAbdominal aortic calcification (AAC) pathogenesis is intricately linked with inflammation. The pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV) emerges as a potential biomarker, offering reflection into systemic inflammatory states and assisting in the prognosis of diverse diseases. This research aimed to explore the association between PIV and AAC.MethodsEmploying data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), this cross-sectional analysis harnessed weighted multivariable regression models to ascertain the relationship between PIV and AAC. Trend tests probed the evolving relationship among PIV quartiles and AAC. The study also incorporated subgroup analysis and interaction tests to determine associations within specific subpopulations. Additionally, the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression and multivariable logistic regression were used for characteristics selection to construct prediction model. Nomograms were used for visualization. The receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve, calibration plot and decision curve analysis were applied for evaluate the predictive performance.ResultsFrom the cohort of 3,047 participants, a distinct positive correlation was observed between PIV and AAC. Subsequent to full adjustments, a 100-unit increment in PIV linked to an elevation of 0.055 points in the AAC score (β=0.055, 95% CI: 0.014-0.095). Categorizing PIV into quartiles revealed an ascending trend: as PIV quartiles increased, AAC scores surged (β values in Quartile 2, Quartile 3, and Quartile 4: 0.122, 0.437, and 0.658 respectively; P for trend

High spatial resolution (HSR) remote sensing imagery presents a rich tapestry of foreground-background intricacies, rendering semantic segmentation in aerial contexts a formidable and vital undertaking. At its core, this challenge revolves around two pivotal questions: 1) Mitigating Background Interference and Enhancing Foreground Clarity. 2) Accurate Segmentation in Dense Small Object Cluster. Conventional semantic segmentation methods primarily cater to the segmentation of large-scale objects in natural scenes, yet they often falter when confronted with aerial imagery’s characteristic traits such as vast background areas, diminutive foreground objects, and densely clustered targets. In response, we propose a novel semantic segmentation framework tailored to overcome these obstacles. To address the first challenge, we leverage PointFlow modules in tandem with the Foreground-Scene (F-S) module. PointFlow modules act as a barrier against extraneous background information, while the F-S module fosters a symbiotic relationship between the scene and foreground, enhancing clarity. For the second challenge, we adopt a dual-branch structure termed disentangled learning, comprising Foreground Precedence Estimation and Small Object Edge Alignment (SOEA). Our foreground saliency guided loss optimally directs the training process by prioritizing foreground examples and challenging background instances. Extensive experimentation on the iSAID and Vaihingen datasets validates the efficacy of our approach. Not only does our method surpass prevailing generic semantic segmentation techniques, but it also outperforms state-of-the-art remote sensing segmentation methods.

Herein, the performance of silicone-modified 3D printing photosensitive resin was examined. Bisphenol-A epoxy acrylate (EA) was used as the substrate and isophorone diisocyanate, hydroxy-silicone oil, and hydroxyethyl acrylate were used as the raw materials. A silicone intermediate was synthesized to modify the substrate to prepare the 3D printing photosensitive material. The as-synthesized materials were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The tensile fracture morphology was also analyzed. The effects of the addition of silicone intermediates on the mechanical properties, thermal stability, and shrinkage of the prepared 3D printing photosensitive resins were investigated. The results showed that an organosilicone group was successfully introduced into the side chain of EA. When the ratio of n(silicone):n(EA) is 0.3:1, the material has a high impact strength of 19.4 kJ·m−2, which is 32.8% higher than that of the pure resin; in addition, the elongation at break is 8.65% (compared to 6.56% of the pure resin). The maximum thermal weight loss temperature is 430.33°C, which is 6°C higher than that of the pure resin.

The tumor tissue of craniopharyngioma is closely adherent to peripheral neurovascular tissue, so the operation to remove lesion is more difficult, the perioperative complications are very serious, and the prognosis of patients is poor. There are many studies on the use of tumor histology or anatomical classification to guide surgical principles and surgical approaches, as well as drug therapy or combination therapy, but no consensus has been reached. This paper reviews the histological, anatomical and molecular typing of craniopharyngioma, providing new ideas for the future realization of the fusion typing of craniopharyngioma to guide the precise treatment.

Abstract Objective While existing literature has provided insights into involvement of circEPHB4, SOX2 in glioma, their precise molecular mechanisms and synergistic implications in glioma pathogenesis still dim. This study aims to investigate significance and underlying mechanism of m6A‐modified circEPHB4 in regulating SOX2/PHLDB2 axis in gliomas. Methods The mRNA and protein expression were tested by qRT‐PCR and Western blot, respectively. ChIP assay was performed to detect SOX2 enrichment on the PHLDB2 promoter. Cell sphere‐forming assay to detect self‐renewal ability, flow cytometry to determine positivity of CD133 expressions, Malignant behavior of glioma cells were detected by CCK‐8, plate colony formation, scratch, and transwell assays. Glioma xenograft models were constructed to investigate effects of CircEPHB4 in tumor development in vivo. Results Methyltransferase MELLT3 upregulated m6A modification of CircEPHB4, and YTHDC1 promoted cytoplasmic localization of m6A‐modified CircEPHB4. Overexpression of wild‐type CircEPHB4 enhanced glioma cells' stemness, metastasis, and proliferation. Cytoplasmic CircEPHB4 increased SOX2 mRNA stability by binding to IGF2BP2, and the effects observed by SOX2 knockdown were reversed by CircEPHB4 in glioma cells. SOX2 promoted transcriptional expression of PHLDB2 by enriching the PHLDB2 promoter region. SOX2 reversed the inhibition of PHLDB2 knockdown on stemness of glioma, cell proliferation, and metastasis. In vivo experiments also revealed that CircEPHB4 upregulated PHLDB2 expression by stabilizing SOX2 mRNA, which promoted in vivo tumor growth and accelerated stemness of glioma cells and metastasis. Conclusion This study reveals functional interaction and molecular mechanisms of m6A‐modified circEPHB4 in regulating SOX2/PHLDB2 axis, highlighting their importance in glioma pathogenesis and potential as therapeutic targets.

Transplanting human neural progenitor cells is a promising method of replenishing the lost neurons after spinal cord injury (SCI), but differentiating neural progenitor cells into the diverse types of mature functional spinal cord neurons in vivo is challenging. In this study, engineered human embryonic spinal cord-like tissues with dorsal and ventral neuronal characters (DV-SC) were generated by inducing human neural progenitor cells (hscNPCs) to differentiate into various types of dorsal and ventral neuronal cells on collagen scaffold in vitro. Transplantation of DV-SC into complete SCI models in rats and monkeys showed better therapeutic effects than undifferentiated hscNPCs, including pronounced cell survival and maturation. DV-SC formed a targeted connection with the host's ascending and descending axons, partially restored interrupted neural circuits, and improved motor evoked potentials and the hindlimb function of animals with SCI. This suggests that the transplantation of pre-differentiated hscNPCs with spinal cord dorsal and ventral neuronal characteristics could be a promising strategy for SCI repair.

This study investigates the impact of residue soil (RS) powder on the 3D printability of geopolymer composites based on fly ash and ground granulated blast furnace slag. RS is incorporated into the geopolymer mixture, with its inclusion ranging from 0% to 110% of the combined mass of fly ash and finely ground blast furnace slag. Seven groups of geopolymers were designed and tested for their flowability, setting time, rheology, open time, extrudability, shape retention, buildability, and mechanical properties. The results showed that with the increase in RS content, the fluidity of geopolymer mortar decreases, and the setting time increases first and then decreases. The static yield stress, dynamic yield stress, and apparent viscosity of geopolymer mortar increase with the increase in RS content. For an RS content between 10% and 90%, the corresponding fluidity is above 145 mm, and the yield stress is controlled within the range of 2800 Pa, which meets the requirements of extrusion molding. Except for RS-110, geopolymer mortars with other RS contents showed good extrudability and shape retention. The compressive strength of 3D printing samples of geopolymer mortar containing RS has obvious anisotropy.

Abstract Observational studies have yielded conflicting results regarding the relationship between tea intake and migraine risk. Residual confounders and potential reverse causality are unavoidable in traditional observational studies. To provide evidence for establishing viable disease screening and prevention strategies, a Mendelian randomization study (MR) was conducted to determine the causal inference between tea intake and migraine. We obtained 28 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) for any migraine (AM), 25 SNPs for migraine with aura (MA), and 27 SNPs for migraine without aura (MO) associated with tea intake derived from a large genome-wide association study (GWAS) of the UK Biobank (UKBB) (containing 447,485 samples). The largest migraine GWAS performed by the International Headache Genetics Consortium (IHGC), including 29,209 cases and 172,931 controls, provided data on migraines and their subtypes (MA and MO). We used the method of inverse variance weighting (IVW) with fixed effects as the first-string MR selection. Sensitivity analysis and MR-pleiotropy residual sum and outlier (MR-PRESSO) method further assessed the robustness of the findings. Based on the conclusion of IVW in the fixed effects model, we found that tea intake had no causal relationship with AM risk (odds ratio (OR), 0.94; 95% confidence interval (CI), 0.70–1.25; P = 0.65), MA risk (OR, 0.93; 95% CI, 0.51–1.72; P = 0.83), or MO risk (OR, 0.90; 95% CI, 0.52–1.54; P = 0.69). Sensitivity analyses and MR-PRESSO showed no directional pleiotropy or heterogeneity. Our two-sample MR investigation found no causality between tea intake and migraine risk in European populations, implying that attempts to change tea drinking habits may not lead to a reduced risk of migraine.

To synthesize a class of 2T2R parallel mechanisms with optimal transmission and large tilting ability, a type synthesis method for parallel mechanisms is proposed by combining the screw theory and the limb construction method. Taking the 2-RPS mechanism as the basic limb, the screw theory is used to classify the constraint types of the new limb, and the limb construction criterion is given to ensure that the degrees of freedom of the parallel mechanism remain unchanged. Combined with the characteristics of motion/force transmission of the mechanism, the limb with the maximum transmission index is selected by using the screw theory, and the 2T2R parallel mechanism with the optimal transmission is synthesized. Finally, the kinematics analysis of a novel 2-RPS-UPS parallel mechanism is carried out, and the workspace of the mechanism is solved by Matlab. The results show that the synthesized parallel mechanism has optimal transmission and large tilting ability.

Human corneal endothelial cells (HCECs) are very important for maintaining corneal transparency, but HCECs remain arrested at the G1 phase after embryonic development and could not proliferate and regenerate in vivo. The density of HCECs decreases spontaneously with corneal development and aging, while systemic factors and corneal diseases can further cause a massive loss to HCECs, lead to corneal opacity and edema and ultimately induce vision impairment. Therefore, the regeneration of HCECs has always been a heated topic in the field of corneal endothelial research. Currently, function restoration of exogenous corneal endothelium mediated by cell therapy and autologous regeneration of endogenous HCECs have made amazing breakthroughs, with endogenous HCECs autologous regeneration being a more convenient and physiological treatment option. This review summarizes and analyzes the strategies and related techniques that are currently applied to the autologous regeneration of HCECs in aspects of operative treatment, gene therapy and pharmacological treatment.

Abstract The transcription factor family activator protein 2 (TFAP2) is vital for regulating both embryonic and oncogenic development. The TFAP2 family consists of five DNA-binding proteins, including TFAP2A, TFAP2B, TFAP2C, TFAP2D and TFAP2E. The importance of TFAP2 in tumor biology is becoming more widely recognized. While TFAP2D is not well studied, here, we mainly focus on the other four TFAP2 members. As a transcription factor, TFAP2 regulates the downstream targets directly by binding to their regulatory region. In addition, the regulation of downstream targets by epigenetic modification, posttranslational regulation, and interaction with noncoding RNA have also been identified. According to the pathways in which the downstream targets are involved in, the regulatory effects of TFAP2 on tumorigenesis are generally summarized as follows: stemness and EMT, interaction between TFAP2 and tumor microenvironment, cell cycle and DNA damage repair, ER- and ERBB2-related signaling pathway, ferroptosis and therapeutic response. Moreover, the factors that affect TFAP2 expression in oncogenesis are also summarized. Here, we review and discuss the most recent studies on TFAP2 and its effects on carcinogenesis and regulatory mechanisms.

As an important part of the power Internet of things, the distribution field area network is the "last mile" infrastructure of the power Internet of things. It can solve the communication problem of the last mile of the power Internet of things. In order to meet the high real-time and high reliability requirements of distribution field area network control services and improve the coverage and reliability of the network, a highly reliable and fast routing optimization algorithm based on Dijkstra algorithm is proposed. The field high-speed power line carrier and radio frequency communication methods of the field area network have complementary advantages. The nodes select the most reliable communication link to transmit data through the hybrid routing table, and consider the reliability and real-time constraints at the same time. The simulation results show that the high-reliability routing optimization algorithm of the distribution field area network can effectively increase the coverage capacity, the number of successfully transmitted services and the average routing reliability.

At present, in the assembly building construction practice, the relevant subjects lack the concept of building quality management and awareness of responsibility, and the rights and duties of the subjects of each link are not clear in the division of responsibility for building quality. In this paper, based on the deep confidence network, for the problem that the accuracy of the traditional DBN model will gradually decrease, a genetic algorithm is introduced to optimize the conventional restricted Morzmann machine, and the number of nodes in the hidden layer of the genetic algorithm optimization DBN node number process is obtained after the improvement. The optimal method for planning building quality assessment is selected based on the comparison results of the established DBN algorithm function. Then, the optimal building quality assessment model is constructed. Then design the evaluation index system for quality influencing factors and verify it with structural equations. Finally, the model is used to quantify the degree of influence of assembly building quality. The study concludes that all path coefficients affecting the quality of assembled buildings are greater than 0.5, the P-value is less than 0.001, and the five proposed hypotheses are all valid. In the assessment of the quality of residential projects, the final results of excellent, good, moderate, and qualified accounted for 0.1952, 0.2299, 0.3086, and 0.2663, respectively, and the quality of the project’s construction was evaluated as a good grade. This study provides a new method for improving the awareness of quality responsibility among relevant subjects in the construction industry and guaranteeing the level of building quality.

In this paper, the principles, algorithms and different linear regression models are sorted out and finalized to determine the multiple linear regression model suitable for this study. The different types of regression are synthesized through the elastic net algorithm. Based on the multiple linear regression model, students’ performance in language, mathematics and English was used as the dependent variable Y on behalf of academic performance, and five sports such as physical education and hygiene were used as the independent variable X, to carry out an empirical study on 3,800 students. From this, it was concluded that the contribution rates affecting language achievement were sports attitude, environment, and hygiene in the order of coefficients of 0.548, 0.312, and −0.266. In contrast, exercise habit [B=−0.032, t=−1.574, P=0.116] and sports knowledge [B=0.027, t=1.561, P=0.119] did not pass the test of significance. The contribution of influencing math achievement was in the order of sports environment and attitude with coefficients of 0.402 and 0.327, which were positively correlated with math achievement Y2. The contribution rate affecting English achievement is in the order of sports hygiene, sports attitude and exercise habit, and their coefficients are 0.398, 0.295 and 0.124, all of which are positively correlated with English achievement Y3.

Objective: Pulmonary infection (PI), a severe complication of immunosuppressive therapy, affects patients’ prognosis. As part of this study, we aimed to construct a pulmonary infection prediction (PIP) model and validate it in patients receiving immunosuppressive drugs (ISDs).Methods: Totally, 7,977 patients being treated with ISDs were randomised 7:3 to the developing (n = 5,583) versus validation datasets (n = 2,394). Our predictive nomogram was established using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) and multivariate COX regression analyses. With the use of the concordance index (C-index) and calibration curve, the prediction performance of the final model was evaluated.Results: Among the patients taking immunosuppressive medication, PI was observed in 548 (6.9%). The median time of PI occurrence after immunosuppressive therapy was 123.0 (interquartile range: 63.0, 436.0) days. Thirteen statistically significant independent predictors (sex, age, hypertension, DM, malignant tumour, use of biologics, use of CNIs, use of methylprednisolone at 500 mg, use of methylprednisolone at 40 mg, use of methylprednisolone at 40 mg total dose, use of oral glucocorticoids, albumin level, and haemoglobin level) were screened using the LASSO algorithm and multivariate COX regression analysis. The PIP model built on these features performed reasonably well, with the developing C-index of 0.87 (sensitivity: 85.4%; specificity: 81.0%) and validation C-indices of 0.837, 0.829, 0.832 and 0.830 for predicting 90-, 180-, 270- and 360-day PI probability, respectively. The decision curve analysis (DCA) and calibration curves displayed excellent clinical utility and calibration performance of the nomogram.Conclusion: The PIP model presented herein could aid in the prediction of PI risk in individual patients who receive immunosuppressive treatment and help personalise clinical decision-making.

Objective To summarize the clinical and imaging characteristics with Dandy-Walker syndrome (DWS) in children before and after peritoneal shunt. Methods and Results All 6 children with DWS admitted to Fujian Sanbo Funeng Brain Hospital from January 2016 to January 2023 were selected as the objects of observation, including one case of Dandy-Walker malformation (DWM) and 5 cases of Dandy- Walker variant (DWV). Before surgery, the main manifestations were cerebellar vermis defect, upward movement of the tentorial and sinusional area, severe dilatation of the fourth ventricle, posterior cranial fossa cystic lesions, supratentorial ventricle dilatation and hydrocephalus (one case); or cerebellar vermis dysplasia, cerebellar hemisphere compression, the fourth ventricle dilatation, posterior cranial fossa cystic lesions, supratentorial ventricle dilatation and hydrocephalus (5 cases). Right lateral ventriculoperitoneal shunt (2 cases) or posterior cranial fossa cyst-peritoneal shunt (4 cases) were performed, and the operations were successful without surgery - related complications. After 2.31-7.00 years of follow - up, 6 cases of hydrocephalus and posterior cranial fossa cystic malformation were gradually relieved, 3 cases of good prognosis, cerebral hemisphere and cerebellum development, speech, movement and intelligence normal; there were 3 children with general prognosis, including cerebellar disequilibrium symptoms (one case), autism, claustrophobia (one case), and speech, motor and intellectual disorders (one case) complicated with neurocutaneous melanosis. Conclusions The brain structure of the children with DWS presented with hydrocephalus can be well developed after the hydrocephalus is corrected by single shunt. Among them, the cerebellar vermis of the DWV is well developed, while the development of the DWM presented with cerebellar vermis defect needs to be observed in more cases.

Objective: Construction of a simple and rapid method for the analysis of ganoderic acid A （GAA）. Methods: The molecular imprinted polymer （MIP） that can specifically recognize ganoderic acid A （GAA） were prepared by cyclic voltammetric deposition using GAA as template molecule and o-phenylenediamine as functional monomer. The structure, morphology and electrochemical behavior of MIP were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and electrochemical methods. Using [Fe（CN）6]3-/4- as the active indicator, the analytical performance of the sensor for GAA was investigated. Porous MIP for GAA can be prepared on the electrode surface by one-step electropolymerization. Results: The results of quantitative analysis showed that the electrochemical signal of [Fe（CN）6]3-/4- had a good linear relationship with the logarithm of GAA concentration in the range of 1.0 pmol/L～1.0 μmol/L, and the detection limit was 0.21 pmol/L. The measured values of GAA in ethanol and water-soluble solution of Ganoderma lucidum powder were 1.15 nmol/L and 3.00 pmol/L, respectively. Conclusion: The MIP-based GAA electrochemical sensor can be used for the rapid determination of GAA in extract solution of Ganoderma lucidum powder.

In order to rapidly determine aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), zearalenone (ZEN) and deoxynivalenol (DON) in maize, a AFB1-ZEN-DON three-in-one combined detection method has been established. This quantitative immunofluorescence assay based on superconductor coating was used to detect multiple maize samples. Combined with the recovery rate, stability, detection limit, precision and other indexes, the applicability of the method were evaluated and compared with the results of liquid chromatography. The results showed that the AFB1-ZEN-DON three-in-one combined detection method had the good linearity in the range of 0.5~30 µg/mL for AFB1, 5~200 µg/kg for ZEN and 100~2 500 µg/mL for DON, respectively. The relative deviation of AFB1, ZEN and DON detected by this method was –2.84%~11.91%, –3.43%~18.12% and 1.83%~12.91%, respectively, which were within the allowable deviation of 20%, 15% and 23%. The detection limit of AFB1 was 0.41 μg/kg and the corresponding limit of quantification was 1.12 μg/kg. The limit of detection of ZEN was 3.22 μg/kg and the corresponding limit of quantitation was 9.15 μg/kg. The detection limit of DON was 35.42 μg/kg and the corresponding limit of quantitation was 100.84 μg/kg. Compared with the results of liquid chromatography, the superconductor coated immunofluorescence test strip method is an effective, practical, rapid and quantitative analysis method within the allowable deviation range, suggesting that it could meet the requirements of simultaneous detection of AFB1, ZEN and DON in maize.

Abstract Background Extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) pretreated with atorvastatin (ATV) (MSCATV-EV) have a superior cardiac repair effect on acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The mechanisms, however, have not been fully elucidated. This study aims to explore whether inflammation alleviation of infarct region via macrophage polarization plays a key role in the efficacy of MSCATV-EV. Methods MSCATV-EV or MSC-EV were intramyocardially injected 30 min after coronary ligation in AMI rats. Macrophage infiltration and polarization (day 3), cardiac function (days 0, 3, 7, 28), and infarct size (day 28) were measured. EV small RNA sequencing and bioinformatics analysis were conducted for differentially expressed miRNAs between MSCATV-EV and MSC-EV. Macrophages were isolated from rat bone marrow for molecular mechanism analysis. miRNA mimics or inhibitors were transfected into EVs or macrophages to analyze its effects on macrophage polarization and cardiac repair in vitro and in vivo. Results MSCATV-EV significantly reduced the amount of CD68+ total macrophages and increased CD206+ M2 macrophages of infarct zone on day 3 after AMI compared with MSC-EV group (P

Over the past few years, many scholars began to study averaging principles for fractional stochastic differential equations since they can provide an approximate analytical method to reduce such systems. However, in the most previous studies, there is a misunderstanding of the standard form of fractional stochastic differential equations, which consequently causes the wrong estimation of the convergence rate. In this note, we take fractional stochastic differential equations with Lévy noise as an example to clarify these two issues. The corrections herein have no effect on the main proofs except the two points mentioned above. The innovation of this paper lies in three aspects: (i) the standard form of the fractional stochastic differential equations is derived under natural time scale; (ii) it is first proved that the convergence interval and rate are related to the fractional order; and (iii) the presented results contain and improve some well known research achievements.

Background Wilms’ tumor (WT) is one of the most common solid tumors in children with unsatisfactory prognosis, but few molecular prognostic markers have been discovered for it. Many genes are associated with the occurrence and prognosis of WT. This study aimed to explore the key genes and potential molecular mechanisms through bioinformatics and to verify the effects of aquaporin 1 (AQP1) on WT metastasis. Methods Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were generated from WT gene expression data sets from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Gene functional enrichment analysis was carried out with the Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery (DAVID). A protein–protein interaction network (PPI) was constructed and visualized by the Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes/Proteins (STRING) database and Cytoscape software. Minimal Common Oncology Data Elements (MCODE) was used to detect the important modules in the PPI network, and the important nodes (genes) in the PPI module were sorted by CytoHubba. RT-qPCR was performed to validate the expression of the key genes in WT. Wound healing and Transwell assays were used to detect the cell migration and invasion abilities of AQP1-overexpressing cells. Phalloidin-iFlour 488 was used to stain the cytoskeleton to observe how AQP1 overexpression affects cytoskeletal microfilament structure. Results A total of 73 co-expressed DEGs were chosen for further investigation. The importance of homeostasis and transmembrane transport of ions and water were highlighted by functional analysis. Gene regulatory network and PPI network were predicted. MCODE plug identified two important modules. Finally, top five key genes were identified using CytoHubba, including Renin (REN), nephrosis 2 (NPHS2), Solute Carrier Family 12 Member 3 (SLC12A3), Solute Carrier Family 12 Member 1 (SLC12A1) and AQP1. The five key genes were mainly enriched in cell volume and ion homeostasis. RT-qPCR confirmed the expression of the five key genes in WT. AQP1 was validated to be expressed at significantly lower levels in WT than in normal tissue. AQP1 overexpression significantly reduced the migratory and invasive capacity of Wit-49 cells, as evidenced by reducing the scratch healing rate and the number of perforated control cells by Wit-49 cells. AQP1 overexpression also reduced the expression of biomarkers of epithelial-mesenchymal transformation, decreased levels of vimentin and N-cadherin and increased expression of E-cadherin, resulting in decreased formation of conspicuous lamellipodial protrusions, characteristic of diminished WT cell invasion and migration. Conclusion Our study reveals the key genes of WT. These key genes may provide novel insight for the mechanism and diagnosis of WT. AQP1 overexpression inhibited invasion, migration, EMT, and cytoskeletal rearrangement of WT cells, indicating that AQP1 plays a role in the pathogenesis of WT.

In recent years， the rapid development of machine learning has significantly improved the effectiveness and reliability of living age estimation， which is one of the main development directions of current research. This paper summarizes the analysis methods of age estimation by knee joint MRI， introduces the current research trends， and future application trend.

Despite a rising trend in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) incidence in the elderly population worldwide, the benefit of surgery for those patients is still controversial. Data from 811 elderly patients diagnosed with non-metastatic ICC were obtained from the US surveillance, epidemiology, and end results (SEER) program database. Propensity score matched (PSM) was conducted for the better balance of baseline. The associations between tumor characteristics and surgery with overall survival (OS) and cancer specific survival (CSS) were estimated using hazard ratios (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI). The results showed that ICC patients above 60 years old taking surgery had better OS (hazard ratio [HR], 0.258; 95% CI, 0.205–0.324) and CSS (hazard ratio [HR], 0.239; 95% CI, 0.188–0.303) than patients without surgery. Similar trends in patients above 65 years old, above 70 years old, above 75 years old, and above 80 years old were observed, separately. This benefit was also showed in lymph node-negative (N0) and lymph node-positive (N1) subgroups and N0 patients are more likely to take an advantage from surgery than N1 patients. The different outcomes between surgery and non-surgery suggest that surgical treatment may be recommended for elderly ICC if the tumor is resectable to ensure optimal treatment.

Abstract Background Data on fibrinolytic therapy use for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and long-term clinical outcomes in developing countries are limited. We aimed to investigate the management and 2-year mortality of fibrinolytic-treated patients in China. Methods A total of 19,112 patients with STEMI from 108 hospitals participated in the China Acute Myocardial Infarction registry between January 2013 and September 2014. We investigated the 2-year all-cause mortality among patients treated with fibrinolysis. Non-invasive clinical indexes were used to diagnose successful fibrinolysis or not. Results Only 1823 patients (9.5%) enrolled in the registry underwent fibrinolysis and 679 (37.2%) could be treated within 3 h after symptom onset. The overall use of rescue percutaneous coronary intervention was 8.9%. Successful fibrinolysis, which could be achieved in 1428 patients (78.3%), was related to types of fibrinolytic agents, symptom to needle time, infarction site, and Killip class. Follow-up data were available for 1745 patients (95.7%). After multivariate adjustment, successful fibrinolysis was strongly associated with a decreased risk of death compared with failed fibrinolysis at 2 years (8.5% vs. 29.0%, hazard ratio: 0.27, 95% confidence interval: 0.20–0.35). Conclusion Within a minority of STEMI patients in the CAMI registry underwent fibrinolysis, most of them could achieve successful clinical reperfusion, presenting a much benign 2-year survival outcome than those with failed fibrinolysis. Quality improvement initiatives focusing on fibrinolysis are warranted to achieve its promise fully. Trial registration: URL: https// www.clinicaltrials.gov . Unique identifier: NCT01874691. Abstract Background We aimed to verify the role of hENT1 as a prognostic predictor for patients with resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) who underwent radical resection followed by intra-arterial infusion of gemcitabine-based regimen. Methods We collected surgical samples from 102 patients with resectable PDAC who received radical resection followed by intra-arterial infusion of gemcitabine-based regimen. The hENT1 expression with the help of immunohistochemistry was conducted using formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. The Kaplan–Meier analyses and Cox regression were used to evaluate the mortality hazard associated with the discrepancy between strong and weak of hENT1 expression. Patients’ clinical and pathological characteristics were compared between the two groups, then the role of hENT1 as a prognostic predictor was further explored. Results A total of 102 patients were included to assess the hENT1 expression. 50 patients were classified into high hENT1 expression group, the other 52 patients were attributed into low hENT1 expression group. Removal of Cu2+ ions from contaminated water is an important but challenging task. This study reports the synthesis of a composite hydrogel from two natural polysaccharides, namely, sodium alginate and chitosan, using inexpensive kaolin as a raw material and polyacrylamide as a modifier. The hydrogel had a high adsorption capacity and selectivity for Cu2+. The composite hydrogel was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model was the most suitable model for the kinetic results, and the Langmuir isotherm model was the most representative of the sorption system. The results revealed that the adsorption process was mainly controlled by chemisorption. The maximum adsorption capacity of the adsorbent was 106.4 mg·g−1. Therefore, this study presents a new perspective on the application of composite hydrogels as Cu2+ adsorbents.

Abstract Background The bidirectional causal association between daytime napping frequency and schizophrenia is unclear. Methods A bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was conducted with summary statistics of top genetic variants associated with daytime napping frequency and schizophrenia from genome-wide association studies (GWAS). The single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) data of daytime napping frequency GWAS came from the UK Biobank (n = 452,633) and 23andMe study cohort (n = 541,333), while the schizophrenia GWAS came from the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium (PGC, 36,989 cases and 113,075 controls). The inverse variance weighted (IVW) analysis was the primary method, with the weighted median, MR-Robust Adjusted Profile Score (RAPS), Radial MR and MR-Pleiotropy Residual Sum Outlier (PRESSO) as sensitivity analysis. Results The MR analysis showed a bidirectional causal relationship between more frequent daytime napping and the occurrence of schizophrenia, with the odds ratio (OR) for one-unit increase in napping category (never, sometimes, usually) on schizophrenia was 3.38 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 2.02–5.65, P = 3.58 × 10–6), and the beta for the occurrence of schizophrenia on daytime napping frequency was 0.0112 (95%CI: 0.0060–0.0163, P = 2.04 × 10–5). The sensitivity analysis obtained the same conclusions. Conclusion Our findings support the bidirectional causal association between more daytime napping frequency and schizophrenia, implying that daytime napping frequency is a potential intervention for the progression and treatment of schizophrenia.

Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common neoplasm and the major cause of cancer-associated death worldwide. The high mortality rate of HCC is mainly attributed to its widespread prevalence and the lack of effective treatment. Immunotherapy as a promising, innovative approach has revolutionised the treatment of solid tumours. However, owing to the heterogeneity and complex tumour microenvironment of HCC, an efficient biomarker for immunotherapy has yet to be identified. We investigated the role of immune-related long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) as prognostic biomarkers in patients with HCC from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Spearman correlation, univariate and multivariate Cox, and lasso regression analyses were utilised to screen lncRNAs associated with prognosis. Four lncRNAs were filtered out to develop an immune-associated lncRNA prognostic signature in TCGA training as well as validation cohorts. Patients with HCC were then categorised into low- and high-risk groups according to the median value of the risk scores to evaluate the ability of the prognostic model between training and validation cohorts. A nomogram (based on risk score and stage) was constructed to appraise the general overall survival (OS) of patients with HCC. Differences in immune cell infiltration, immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) treatment response, gene mutation, and drug sensitivity were observed between the two groups. Thus, the lncRNA prognostic signature can serve as a sensitive prognostic biomarker with potential in individualised immunotherapy for HCC patients.

In order to achieve carbon neutrality in a few decades, the clean energy proportion in power mix of China will significantly rise to over 90%. A consensus has been reached recently that it will be of great significance to promote hydrogen energy, that is produced by variable renewable energy power generation, as a mainstay energy form in view of its potential value on achieving carbon neutrality. This is because hydrogen energy is capable of complementing the power system and realizing further electrification, especially in the section that cannot be easily replaced by electric energy. Power system related planning model is commonly used for mid-term and long-term planning implemented through power installation and interconnection capacity expansion optimization. In consideration of the high importance of hydrogen and its close relationship with electricity, an inclusive perspective which contains both kinds of the foresaid energy is required to deal with planning problems. In this study, a joint model is established by coupling hydrogen energy model in the chronological operation power planning model to realize coordinated optimization on energy production, transportation and storage. By taking the carbon neutrality scenario of China as an example, the author applies this joint model to deploy a scheme research on power generation and hydrogen production, inter-regional energy transportation capacity, and hydrogen storage among various regions. Next, by taking the technology progress and cost decrease prediction uncertainty into account, the main technical–economic parameters are employed as variables to carry out sensitivity analysis research, with a hope that the quantitative calculation and results discussion could provide suggestion and reference to energy-related companies, policy-makers and institute researchers in formulating strategies on related energy development.
