This bachelor thesis is about management of receivables and obligations in the trade company BACKALDRIN Slovakia, spol. s.r.o. In the first section of thesis may be find theoretical knowledge of basic methods and access to management this sphere and analysis to provide payment ability of a company. All these theo-retical knowledges from first section are used in practical section of thesis, in which may be find description of current situation of management receivables and obligations, evaluated payment ability of the company and analysis of net working capital. Net working capital is compared with its optimal height, which was calculated by cash cycle method. In the end of thesis may be find evaluation weakness of current management receivables and obligations in the company, suggestion to eliminate founded weakness and calculated potential impact on fi-nancial situation after leading those suggestion into management.

Promoting entrepreneurship in Morocco among young people has been a challenge for some years of economic and social problems, especially after the events of the Arab Spring. Several programs have been set up by the government for young entrepreneurs. Thus, faced with the large number of credit applications solicited by these young entrepreneurs, banks are obliged to resort to artificial intelligence techniques. For this purpose, the aim of this article is to propose a decision-making system enabling the bank to automate its credit granting process. It is a tool that allows the bank, in the first instance, to select promising projects through a scoring approach adapted to this segment of young entrepreneurs. In a second step, the tool allows the setting of the maximum credit amount to be allocated to the selected project. Finally, based on the knowledge of the bank's experts, the tool proposes a breakdown of the amount granted by the bank into several products adapted to the needs of the entrepreneur.

At the request of the National Treasury of the Republic of South Africa, the World Bank Group (WBG) undertook a Retail Banking Diagnostic focusing on the provision of consumer transactional accounts and fixed deposits by retail banks in South Africa. The aim of the Retail Banking Diagnostic was to identify potential deficiencies from a fair-treatment perspective in banks’ provision of such accounts and deposits, and whether and how any identified major fair-treatment deficiencies could appropriately be addressed through market conduct regulation, having regard to international good practices and the South African market context. A WBG team visited South Africa in April 2017 and undertook discussions to inform the diagnostic with regulators, a range of banks offering consumer transactional accounts and fixed deposits, relevant financial sector ombud schemes, and industry and consumer bodies. Further discussions and inquiries and desk-based research were undertaken following the visit. Except where stated otherwise, the report reflects research undertaken up to September 2017, and it does not cover developments after that time. This report sets out the findings of the diagnostic and provides recommendations for regulatory improvements and related measures for consideration by the South African authorities. Where the report recommends legal measures to address an issue, it is envisaged that these would be implemented either through fair-treatment conduct standards made by the FSCA pursuant to section 106 of the recently passed Financial Sector Regulation Act 2017 (FSR Act) or, in due course, through the Conduct of FinancialInstitutions Bill (COFI Bill) being developed by the National Treasury, and subordinate legislation, such as Standards, to be developed under the resulting COFI Act (referred to collectively in the report as the “COFI/FSR Laws”).

Credit limit variability is a crucial aspect of the consumption, savings, and debt decisions of households in the United States. Using a large panel, this paper first demonstrates that individuals gain and lose access to credit frequently and often have their credit limits reduced unexpectedly. Credit limit volatility is larger than most estimates of income volatility and varies over the business cycle. While typical models of intertemporal consumption fix the credit limit, I introduce a model with variable credit limits. Variable credit limits create a reason for households to hold both high interest debts and low interest savings at the same time, since the savings act as insurance. Simulating the model using the estimates of credit limit volatility, I show that it explains all of the credit card puzzle: why around a third of households in the United States hold both debt and liquid savings at the same time. The approach also offers an important new channel through which financial system uncertainty affects household decisions.

Bančno okolje je nenehno povezano s tveganjem. Zaradi globalizacije, ki je odprla finančne trge, je banke izpostavila še večjemu tveganju. Skozi nalogo predstavimo kreditno tveganje in različne modele kreditnega tveganja. V teoretičnem delu predstavimo oblikovanje kreditnih limitov, kot apetit tveganja posamezne banke. V magistrski nalogi predstavimo bonitetni model za mikro in majhna podjetja. V empiričnem delu preverjamo hipoteze, enotnega bonitetnega modela. V sklepu podamo izboljšave modela. Bank environment is always conected with risk. Globalization opened financial markets and banks were exposed to higher risk. During the task we present credit risk and different models of credit risk.In theoretical part we present credit limits as risk apetite of the bank.In the task there is also presented Rating model for SME companies. In empirical part we are analysing hypothesis of unified rating model of the banking group. In final decision we presented improvements of the rating model.

This Technical Note was prepared in the context of a joint World Bank-IMF Financial Sector Assessment Program mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina during October-November 2014. Financial inclusion in Bosnia and Herzegovina performs relatively well compared to peers, but gaps remain for selected market segments. Financial sector development and access to finance for firms is constrained by weak domestic demand, high collateral requirements and inadequate credit enforcement mechanisms.

This work consists on a survey of some papers from the literature of general equilibrium with default costs. We focus on the study of Kehoe and Levine (1993) and Alvarez and Jermann (2000) models. We also describe some adaptations of Al- varez and Jermann’s model, such as the models developed by Hellwig and Lorenzoni (2009) and Azariadis and Kaas (2008), and we compare them with Huggett’s (1993) model, where the market is exogenously incomplete. Finally, we point out one flaw present in Krueger and Perry’s (2010) algorithm to compute stationary equilibria from economies such as Alvarez and Jermann. Neste trabalho fazemos um resumo de alguns artigos que tratam de equilíbrio geral dinâmico com custos de default. Focamos no estudo dos modelos de Kehoe e Levine (1993) e de Alvarez e Jermann (2000). Também descrevemos algumas adaptações do modelo de Alvarez e Jermann, como os trabalhos de Hellwig e Lorenzoni (2009) e de Azariadis e Kaas (2008), e comparamos os resultados desses modelos com os de Huggett (1993), no qual os mercados são exogenamente incompletos. Finalmente, expomos uma falha no algoritmo computacional sugerido por Krueger e Perry (2010) para se computar os equilíbrios estacionários de economias como as de Alvarez e Jermann (2000).

The Arab Spring is a clear indicator of the urgency of achieving inclusive growth and ensuring job creation in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, where private sector development is still hindered by limited access to credit. Following Kiyotaki and Moore's (1997) seminal model, we apply a novel methodological approach to a unique data set of MENA firms to estimate credit limits and their impacts on capital accumulation. Notably, we find higher credit limits in countries where the Arab Spring erupted than in other MENA countries and that their marginal effect on capital accumulation has been statistically and economically significant.

Financial consumer protection sets clear rules of conduct for financial firms regarding their retail customers. It aims to ensure that consumers: 1) receive information to allow them to make informed decisions, 2) are not subject to unfair or deceptive practices, and 3) have access to recourse mechanisms to resolve disputes. Complementary financial literacy initiatives are aimed at giving consumers the knowledge and skills to understand the risks and rewards of using financial products and services-and their legal rights and obligations in using them. Clear rules of conduct for financial institutions, combined with programs of financial education for consumers, will increase consumer trust in financial markets and will support the development of these markets. International and regional non-government organizations are also playing an increasingly important role in financial consumer protection. The responsible finance forum lists financial consumer protection regulation and financial capability as two of the three pillars of the framework for responsible finance. This summary is not exhaustive but helps illustrate the many ongoing international initiatives that support financial consumer protection. All the initiatives are helpful in strengthening the global response to weaknesses in financial consumer protection. Nevertheless, still more could be done by civil society organizations, particularly those operating at a global level. The World Bank is also supporting the international dialogue on financial consumer protection through development of good practices based on country-level experience and ongoing technical assistance. The good practices provide a comprehensive diagnostic tool to help identify the consumer protection issues in all parts of the financial sector.

The global financial crisis and ensuing credit crunch has revived the discussion on the role of public sector in the financial system around the world and in El Salvador, authorities have announced plans to step up their activities. A clearly defined strategy for the public banks, focused on complementing private sector activity, is necessary as their activities expand to improve access to finance and diversify the sources of funding. Any process of growth needs to accompany by improvement in risk management processes, governance arrangements and enhanced supervision. Going forward, the two public retail banks should increase their specialization in different market segments. The development bank role can be enhanced while maintaining its second tier status. To make the guarantee funds effective, in addition to scale their size, several operational features need to be improved.

This Selected Issues paper on Bulgaria investigates possible driving forces behind the investment boom based on cross-country evidence. The diagnosis of the drivers behind the investment boom is important as it is key to assessing Bulgaria’s economic prospects, vulnerabilities, and policy challenges. The available evidence is less than clear-cut, but broadly suggests that the investment boom reflects to a large extent a one-off reassessment of Bulgaria’s riskiness as an investment location. The paper also investigates why Bulgaria’s GDP growth rate did not respond more strongly to the investment boom.
