Manaus Industrial Complex; in a subsector of two wheels. The aim is to reduce the operating costs, the sale price to ultimate customers and the contribution to the environment, with the modal redefinition of transport. To this end, it highlights the fact that the transport cost of goods is one of the relevant factors in the competitiveness of most products and, aiming their reduction, the company is constantly seeking more efficient alternatives to move their products from the factory until the consumer markets. In doing so, we ask: How the modal waterway cabotage, can be used as an alternative to reduce logistics costs by a MIC industry, in transportation and distribution of its products to the other regions of the country? It is a case study, of qualitative and investigative nature, developed from primary data collection of bibliographic and information collected with the shipowners. That way, to continue to grow in the MIC, the trade of cabotage navigation, must fight for the reduction of port costs, and even for more efficiency of ships operations. The delays in release of shipload don???t only affect the cabotage companies, but compromise the supply of trade in Manaus (food - including perishable cargo, building materials, equipment, among other things) and the entire operation of MIC, besides affecting other regions of Brazil, which are consumers of finished products such as electronics and motorcycles. All this scenario, has a direct impact on the logistics costs of companies, which need to collect reductions throughout the logistics chain. Este trabalho evidencia a navega????o de cabotagem como alternativa para o transporte e distribui????o dos produtos produzidos pelas ind??strias do PIM ??? Polo Industrial de Manaus; no subsetor de duas rodas. Busca-se, reduzir os custos operacionais, o pre??o de venda aos clientes finais e a contribui????o ao meio ambiente, com a redefini????o do modal de transporte. Para tanto, evidencia-se o fato de que o custo do transporte de mercadorias ?? um dos fatores relevantes na competitividade da maioria dos produtos e, com vistas ?? sua redu????o, as empresas est??o constantemente buscando alternativas mais eficientes para deslocar seus produtos desde as f??bricas at?? os mercados consumidores. Deste modo, pergunta-se: Como o modal Aquavi??rio Cabotagem, pode ser utilizado como alternativa para reduzir os custos log??sticos das ind??strias do PIM, no transporte e distribui????o de seus produtos, para as demais regi??es do pa??s? Trata-se de um estudo de caso, de cunho qualitativo e investigativo, desenvolvido a partir do levantamento de dados prim??rios do acervo bibliogr??fico e informa????es coletadas junto aos armadores. Deste modo, para continuar a crescer no PIM, o com??rcio da navega????o por cabotagem, deve lutar pela redu????o dos custos portu??rios, bem como pela maior efici??ncia das opera????es dos navios. Os atrasos em libera????o das cargas dos navios n??o prejudicam apenas as empresas de cabotagem, mas comprometem o abastecimento do com??rcio de Manaus (alimentos ??? incluindo cargas perec??veis, mat??rias de constru????o, equipamentos, entre outros) e todo o funcionamento do PIM, al??m de afetar as demais regi??es do Brasil, que s??o os consumidores dos produtos acabados, como eletroeletr??nicos e motocicletas. Todo esse cen??rio, gera impacto direto nos custos log??sticos das empresas, que necessitam vislumbrar redu????es em toda a cadeia log??stica.
