Araştırmanın amacı, bir dalış bölgesinin olumlu, olumsuz yönlerinin, yeme içme, konaklama ve ulaşım olanaklarının sualtı dalış turizmi açısından değerlendirilmesidir. Bu amaçla araştırmada Eskişehir, Çifteler ilçesi Sakaryabaşı bölgesi değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma doğrultusunda nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan yapılandırılmış görüşme Sakaryabaşı dalış bölgesinde dalış yapmış dört profesyonel dalıcıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle kodlamalar ve temalar oluşturularak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda Sakaryabaşı dalış bölgesinin olumlu özelliklerinin olumsuz özelliklerine kıyasla oldukça baskın olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Dalış bölgesinin olumlu özellikleri su altı manzara çeşitliliği, su sıcaklığı, farklı deneyim, görünürlük, canlı çeşitliliği, güvenli dalış, yıl boyu dalışa uygunluk, ekonomik uygunluk olarak sıralanırken; olumsuz özelliği ise kısıtlı bir bölge olması şeklinde belirlenmiştir. Sakaryabaşı bölgesindeki konaklama olanaklarına ilişkin katılımcılar arasında görüş ayrılığı bulunmaktadır. Kimi katılımcı Çifteler’deki konaklama olanaklarının kısıtlılığından dolayı Eskişehir’de konaklamanın tercih edildiğini söylerken kimisi Çifteler’de konaklama olanaklarının yeterli olduğundan bahsetmektedir. Bölgeye ulaşımın oldukça rahat olduğu; fakat ekipmanları ile gelenler için dalış noktaları arasında ekipmanları taşımanın zor olduğu belirtilmiştir. Yeme içme olanakları değerlendirildiğinde katılımcıların gerek Sakaryabaşı dalış bölgesinden gerekse Çifteler ilçesinden memnun oldukları görülmüştür.

Frosted branch angiitis (FBA) is a rare type of severe retinal vasculitis characterized with a widespread perivascular translucent sheathing in association with a variable degree of anterior and/or posterior segment inflammation. Secondary type of FBA is the term coined for the patients with various underlying autoimmune diseases or viral infections. We aim to describe the clinical course of a case with a unilateral frosted branch angiitis most likely associated with the hyperhomocysteinemia and methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase mutation who initially presented us with a unilateral central retinal vein occlusion-like appearance. A 37-year-old otherwise healthy woman presented with a left central retinal vein occlusion-like appearance. Extensive systemic and coagulation work up was unremarkable except for the elevated plasma homocysteine level and heterozygous methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase gene mutation. A week later, a full-blown picture of frosted branch angiitis was established. A successful visual and anatomic outcome was achieved with the pulse and then oral steroids, oral azathioprine, and multiple intravitreal aflibercept injections. Two key messages can be considered. First, central retinal vein occlusion-like presentation can be the very early phase of clinical evolution of FBA, and second, patients with FBA should also be evaluated for possible coagulation abnormalities.

Aim To evaluate corneal and crystalline lens densitometry in patients with vernal keratoconjunctivitis (VKC). Methods This is a case-control study. Patients with VKC and age-gender-matched healthy controls underwent a complete ophthalmologic examination with corneal and crystalline lens densitometry measurements. Additionally, the anterior chamber parameters comprise anterior and posterior K-mean and astigmatism, anterior chamber depth (ACD), anterior chamber volume (ACV), anterior chamber angle (ACA), pachymeter, and corneal volume (CV). Patients who had clinically grade 0 or grade 1 VKC and with only tarsal conjunctiva involvement during the conductance of the study were included. The variables were compared statistically. Results One hundred and nine eyes were included in the study, in which fifty-one were in the VKC group. There were 25 males in the VKC group (26 female) and 22 males in the control group (36 female). A statistically significant difference was found between the groups in terms of posterior corneal astigmatism (p = 0.02). The mean corneal pachymeter, CV, ACD, ACA, and ACV were similar in both groups (p = 0.63, p = 0.26, p = 0.60, p = 0.41, and p = 0.32, respectively). The total mean corneal densitometry in the zones extending from 6 to 10 mm and 10 to 12 mm was increased in the VKC group compared to the control group (p = 0.04 and p = 0.012, respectively). The mean crystalline lens was found to be denser in the VKC group compared to the control group (8.96 +/- 1.6 vs. 8.5 +/- 0.57, respectively, p = 0.04). Conclusion Posterior corneal astigmatism is increased in VKC cases in comparison with age- and gender-matched controls. The peripheral anterior 6-12 mm annular corneal zone showed increased corneal densitometry in VKC cases compared to the healthy subjects. Additionally, the lens clarity is found to be decreased subclinically in VKC cases compared to control cases.

Wir berichten uber den Fall einer 55-jahrigen Patientin, die sich aufgrund von einer Visusminderung bei bekannter Myopie vorstellte. Die fundoskopische Untersuchung ergab einen hellen Netzhaut-Aderhaut-Reflex an der unteren Grenze der Papille zusatzlich zu einem Staphyloma posticum und schragem Sehnerveneintritt. Koharenztomographisch zeigte sich eine fokale Aderhautkavitation. Die multimodalen Bildgebungseigenschaften dieser Entitat werden in dieser Kasuistik erlautert.

Purpose: To investigate earlier corneal topographical changes and visual acuity after different pterygium surgical techniques using the Pentacam Scheimpflug imaging system.Methods: This study enrolled 98 patients with unilateral primary nasal pterygium. Pterygium surgery with either a conjunctival autograft (group 1) or an anchored conjunctival rotational flap (group 2), with fibrin tissue adhesive was performed under topical anesthesia. Baseline and one-month post-operative best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) in logarithm of the Minimum Angle of Resolution (logMAR) and anterior corneal astigmatism (ACA), flat keratometry (Kf), steep keratometry (Ks) and posterior corneal astigmatism (PCA) were analyzed.Results: Mean BCVA improved from baseline 0.119±0.113 to 0.082±0.086 logMAR in group 1, and from baseline 0.169±0.128 to 0.120±0.121 logMAR in group 2. There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in pre-and post-operative ACA, PCA, Kf and Ks. (p=0.686; 0.9020.107; and 0.592, respectively). Intra-group analysis revealed statistically significant differences in both groups: ACA (pConclusions: Significantly improved anterior corneal topographical changes highly associated with conjunctival autografting. However, the conjunctival rotational flap was associated with relatively greater posterior corneal topographical changes.

In the study, Turkey's 60-year period covering the years 1963-2023, is intended to assess the perspectives for mass tourism and alternative tourism. It is thought that determining the importance given to mass tourism and alternative tourism, in other words, the intensity of these types of tourism in development plans will shed light on the demands and expectations of touristic consumers in the relevant periods. Accordingly, 11 Five-Year Development Plans were analyzed using the content analysis technique, one of the qualitative analysis methods. As a result of the content analysis, a total of 8 categories were determined under the theme of mass tourism "financing, airline management, principle, priority region, travel agency and tour operator, promotion, touristic use, investments"; a total of 7 categories were determined under the theme of alternative tourism “trends and expectations, small-scale facilities, seasonality, projects and plans, recreational areas and national parks, sustainability and diversification of tourism.” In the study, it was seen that mass tourism principles were emphasized during the first five development plan periods (1963-1989). Also, it was determined that alternative tourism and sustainable tourism principles were prioritized in the periods covering the next development plans (1990-2023)., Çalışmada, Türkiye’nin 1963-2023 yıllarını kapsayan 60 yıllık döneminde, kitle turizmine ve alternatif turizme yönelik bakış açısının değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Türkiye’nin kitle turizmi ile alternatif turizme verdiği önemin, bir başka deyişle bu turizm türlerinin kalkınma planlarındaki yoğunluk derecesinin, tespit edilmesi ile ilgili dönemlerdeki turistik tüketicilerin istek ve beklentilerine de ışık tutulacağı düşünülmektedir. Bu doğrultuda, 11 adet Beş Yıllık Kalkınma Planı nitel analiz yöntemlerinden olan içerik analizi tekniği ile incelenmiştir. Yapılan içerik analizi sonucunda, kitle turizmi teması altında “finansman, havayolu işletmeciliği, ilke, öncelikli bölge, seyahat acentacılığı ve tur operatörlüğü, tanıtım, turistik kulanım, yatırımlar” olmak üzere toplam 8 adet kategori; alternatif turizm temasının altında ise, “eğilimler ve beklentiler, küçük ölçekli tesisler, mevsimsellik, projeler ve planlar, rekreasyonel alanlar ve milli parklar, sürdürülebilirlik ve turizmin çeşitlendirilmesi” olmak üzere toplam 7 adet kategori belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada, ilk beş yılı kapsayan Kalkınma Planı dönemlerinde (1963-1989) kitle turizmi ilkelerine ağırlık verildiği, bundan sonraki Kalkınma Planları’nı kapsayan dönemlerde (1990-2023) ise alternatif turizmin ve sürdürülebilir turizm ilkelerinin ön planda tutulduğu belirlenmiştir.

Toplumları ekonomik, sosyolojik ve psikolojik açıdan etkileyen COVID-19 Pandemisi sürecinde yürütülen bu çalışmanın amacı, sağlıklı ve bağımsız yaşayan emekli bireylerin boş zaman aktivitelerinin pandemi sürecinde geçirdiği dönüşümün ortaya konması, pandemi öncesinden pandemi sonrasına kadar geçen süreçte boş zaman aktivitelerinin faydalarının ve yaşam doyumuna olan etkilerinin nasıl bir değişim geçirdiğinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, nitel araştırma tasarımı planlanmış, İstanbul’da ikamet eden ve emekli olan 20 katılımcı ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada olasılık temelli olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolayda örnekleme yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmanın verileri, 28 Kasım 2020 - 26 Aralık 2020 tarihleri arasında telefon veya sanal platformlar aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Katılımcılara yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile sekiz adet açık uçlu soru sorulmuştur. Görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler deşifre edilerek içerik analizi yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Görüşmeler neticesinde, pandemi öncesindeki dönemde en çok tercih edilen boş zaman aktivitelerinin sırasıyla fiziki, entelektüel ve sosyal aktiviteler olduğu; pandemi esnasındaki dönemde ise sırasıyla modern, pratik ve entelektüel aktiviteler olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Pandemi sürecinde boş zaman aktivitelerinden uzak kalmak kişileri olumsuz yönde etkilemiş, buna karşın boş zaman aktiviteleri pandemi sürecine (dolayısıyla ev içine) uyarlandığında kişilerin güçlü kalmasını sağlayan bir unsur haline gelmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre boş zaman aktiviteleri emekli bireylere psikolojik, fizyolojik ve sosyal açıdan önemli faydalar sağlamakta ve onların yaşam doyumlarını olumlu yönde etkilemektedir.

The first Conference on Managing Tourism Across Continents (MTCON’20), which was organized by the Association of Turkish Tourism Academics (TUADER), was held virtually between September 2 and 4, 2020. The conference, which had been planned to be arranged face-to-face in Antalya/Turkey in April 2020, had to be postponed to September 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and was held online. The slogan of the conference has been determined as “Tourism for a Better World”. MTCON’20 was held with the contribution of many people. Conference chairs were Prof. Dr. Muzaffer UYSAL and Prof. Dr. Orhan ICOZ; conference coordinator was Prof. Dr. Ebru GUNLU KUCULALTAN; conference vice-coordinator and operations coordinator was Asst. Prof. Dr. Alaattin BASODA. Furthermore; an organizing board of 24, an advisory board of 23, a scientific board of 98, and an organization team of 56 took part in the conference. Besides, the technical infrastructure sponsor was Hotel Linkage, and thanks to the technological support they provided, the conference was held smoothly in the virtual environment.

A 9-year-old otherwise healthy boy was examined due to a 4-day history of visual decline in his right eye. Ophthalmological examination revealed an area of active retinochoroiditis in the right macula. Indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) demonstrated multiple hypocyanescent dots surrounding the active lesion extending 360 degrees towards the equator. Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) exhibited dark dots on the choriocapillaris slab over areas corresponding to the hypocyanescent dots detected with ICGA. Full systemic examination and laboratory investigations were carried out. Toxoplasma gondii serology was positive. The diagnosis of toxoplasmic chorioretinitis with white dot-like choroidal involvement was made. Trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole, azithromycin, and oral prednisolone were administered orally. On repeated ICGA 2 weeks later, the scattered hypocyanescent dots were significantly fewer in number. A month later, right visual acuity was improved, the macular chorioretinitis focus had become inactive, an epiretinal membrane had formed, and the dark dots on the choriocapillaris slab of OCTA were markedly diminished. ICGA may be helpful to observe possible, subtle choroidal involvement in patients with toxoplasmic chorioretinitis.

Inflammatory choroidal neovascularization (iCNV) is an infrequent but an important cause of visual morbidity in patients with non-infectious uveitis and mostly occurs in intermediate or posterior uveitis. Punctate inner choroiditis, Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease and multifocal choroiditis are among the leading causes of uveitis entities resulting in iCNVs. The diagnosis and management of iCNVs still remain a challenge. Use of multimodal imaging techniques such as fluorescein angiography, indocyanine green angiography, optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT-angiography may be necessary for the diagnosis of iCNVs. The treatment algorithm is not straightforward for iCNV. While control of the active inflammation with steroids and/or immunosuppressive agents is a key to success, various adjunctive treatment modalities such as thermal laser photocoagulation, photodynamic therapy and surgical membrane removal were also co-administered previously. Nowadays, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitors have become the most commonly administered adjunctive treatment option as they provide better anatomical and functional outcome and the recurrence rate of CNV is relatively low. We hereby reviewed important clinical studies and case series on anti-VEGF administration in iCNVs and briefly overviewed their results.

When typical retinal fi ndings occur in the complete absence of trauma, it is termed as Purtscher like retinopathy. Unilateral Purtscher retinopathy was diagnosed in the fi rst case presented with unilateral loss of vision following traffi c accident. We presented multimodal imaging and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) fi ndings. We also presented multimodal imaging and OCT-A fi ndings in the second case with bilateral Purtscher-like retinopathy secondary to Conn syndrome. It is thought that OCT-A examination in Purtscher retinopathy is valuable as it provides rapid, noninvasive assessment of capillary ischemia in the early period.

This article reports the case of a 55-year-old female patient who presented with visual deterioration and previously known myopia. Funduscopy revealed a tilted optic disc along with a peripapillary staphyloma and a yellowish lesion on the inferior border of the optic disc. Optical coherence tomography showed an intrachoroidal cavitation. Multimodal imaging characteristics of this clinical entity are provided in this case report.

Choroidal neovascular membrane (CNV) is a very rare complication in patients with sympathetic ophthalmia. We hereby report a 38-year-old man who developed a type 2 CNV in his only seeing (left) eye while under systemic steroid treatment. Systemic therapy was revised and a total of 5 intravitreal aflibercept injections (2 mg each) were administered over a period of 8 months. Good anatomic and functional outcome was noted at the last visit. Anti-vascular endothelial growth factor injection may be an important adjunct to systemic therapy in eyes with with sympathetic ophthalmia-associated CNV.

In this paper,gastronomy museums are seen as an important element to ensure thesustainability of intangible cultural heritage. Such that, this museumsenables the preservation of culinary culture which is included in the scope ofintangible cultural heritage and to hand this culture down the nextgenerations.The aim of this study, which is a review of thesituation evaluation, is to bring a new perspective on evaluation of thegastronomy museums, which expanding its area in the world and having a largedemand, as a sustainable tourism activity. Whenthe studies on gastronomy museums are examined, it is generally observed thatthe surveys were conducted for tourists’ wishes and expectations and thegastronomy museums were adressed about their capability to draw tourist.However, in this study, a comprehensive literature review was conducted byexamining the contribution of gastronomy museums to the sustainabilityphenomenon; in this way, the basis is formed for keeping abreast of thelatest developments in the field of specialization of researches.Gastronomic tourism hasbecome one of the essential alternative tourism types for people who want togain new experiences, to get to know a new culture and even to taste newflavors. Gastronomic tourism refers to trips made to destinations where thelocal food and beverages are the main motivating factors for travel. Also, it isa kind of tourism which is an important factor in the choice of touristic destinationfor 88,2% of tourist in the world. However, in recent years, it is seen thatgastronomic tourism becomes diversified. One of the products of thisdiversification is gastronomy museums. By the year 2019, there are twelvegastronomy museums in Turkey. These museums explore the history of Turkishgastronomy culture. It demonstrates that the preparing process of the food andbeverages. Also, it allows to examine the food habits of different cultures. Agastronomy museum is an item for protection of gastronomic values. Gastronomy museums should considered as UNESCOIntangible Cultural Heritage. Also, the contribution of museums tosustainability, county image and economy should be noticed by stakeholders. Forthis reason, in this paper, suggestions about gastronomy museums’ marketingactivities have been developed., Bu çalışmadagastronomi müzeleri somut olmayan kültürel mirasın sürdürülebilirliğini sağlamakiçin önemli bir unsur olarak görülmektedir. Öyle ki, gastronomi müzeleri, somutolmayan kültürel miras kapsamına giren mutfak kültürünün korunmasını ve geleceknesillere aktarılmasını sağlamaktadır. Durum değerlendirme derlemesi niteliğitaşıyan bu çalışmanın amacı, tüm dünyada alanı genişleyen ve büyük bir talebesahip olan gastronomi müzelerinin sürdürülebilir turizm faaliyeti olarakdeğerlendirilmesine yönelik bir bakış açısını sunmaktır. Gastronomi müzeleriile ilgili çalışmalar incelendiği zaman, genellikle, müzelerin turist çekmeözelliği üzerinde durulduğunu ve turistlerin istek ve beklentilerine yönelikanket çalışmaları yürütüldüğü gözlemlenmiştir. Oysa bu çalışmada, gastronomimüzelerinin sürdürülebilirlik olgusuna olan katkısı incelenerek kapsamlı birliteratür taraması yapılmış; böylelikle araştırmacıların uzmanlık alanlarındakiyenilikleri izleyebilmelerine dayanak oluşturulmuştur. Günümüzde yenideneyimler edinmek, yeni kültürler tanımak ve hatta yeni tatlar tatmak isteyenkişiler için gastronomi turizmi vazgeçilemez alternatif turizm türlerinden birihaline gelmiştir. Gastronomi turizmi, “gastronomik destinasyonlara yapılmışolan eğlenme hedefli yiyecek ve içecekleri kapsayan rekreasyonel tecrübeselfaaliyetlerin tümü” olarak tanımlanmakta ve dünyada turistlerin %88,2’sinindestinasyon seçiminde önem arz eden bir turizm çeşidi olarak gündemegelmektedir. Fakat gastronomi turizmi de son yıllarda, yalnızca yeni tatlartatmak için seyahat etmenin ötesine geçmiş ve kendini çeşitlendirmiştir. Buçeşitlendirmenin ürünlerinden biri de, gastronomi müzeleridir. 2019 itibariyleTürkiye’de on iki gastronomi müzesi bulunmaktadır. Bu gastronomi müzeleri,yiyecek ve içeceklerin günümüze kadarki süreçte nasıl elde edildiğiningörülmesini sağlayan, farklı kültürlerin yeme içme alışkanlıklarınınincelenmesine imkan veren ve gastronomik değerlerin korunmasına veunutulmamasına olanak sağlayan bir öğe olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Gastronomimüzelerinin “UNESCO Somut Olmayan Kültürel Miras” kapsamında ele alınması;sürdürülebilirliğe, ülke imajına ve ekonomisine sağladıkları katkıların farkınavarılması gerekmektedir. Bu sebeple, gastronomi müzelerinin tanıtım-pazarlamafaaliyetlerine yönelik öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

Çalışmanın amacı, 21.yüzyılın getirdiği teknoloji veinovasyon sayesinde gerçek üstü deneyim yaşamak isteyen turistlerden yolaçıkarak, uzay turizminin potansiyel gelişimini ve günümüzdeki uygulamalarınıaçıklamaktır. Uzay turizmi alanında Türkiye’de turizm akademisyenleritarafından yazılan yayın sayısının kısıtlı olduğu görülmüş ve bu sebepleyabancı kaynaklar kullanılarak kapsamlı bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Çalışmadauluslararası turizmde geleceğe yönelik eğilimlerden biri olan uzay turizmihakkında literatür taraması yapılmış; konunun hem teorik yönüne hem de günümüzekadar uzay turizmi deneyimi sayılabilecek uygulamalara değinilmiştir. Buçalışma, gelecekte konu hakkında Türkçe kaynaktan yararlanmak isteyen biliminsanları için bir ön çalışma niteliğindedir. Çalışmanın sonucunda dünyadahenüz gelişim aşamasında olan uzay turizminin, şuan için yalnızca gelir düzeyiçok yüksek olan bireylere hitap ettiği; fakat gelecekte hava yolu taşımacılığıgibi hızlı bir biçimde canlanabileceği öngörülmüştür.

We present a case with incomplete Vogt-Koyanagi Harada disease and coexistent unilateral optic disc pit.

Ultrasonografi (US) muskuloskeletal system görüntülemesinde gittikçe önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Lokal enjeksiyon uygulamalarında tanısal rehber olarak kullanılmakla birlikte, derin eklemlerin görüntülenmesi ve enjeksiyonunda daha az sıklıkta kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı faset sendromu tanısı ile bir yıldır devam eden bel ağrısı olan 19 yaşında erkek hastada, US eşliğinde yapılan faset eklem enjeksiyonu sonucunu literatür derlemesi ile birlikte sunmaktır., Ultrasonography (USG) is becoming increasingly important in visualizing the musculoskeletal system. It is used as a diagnostic guide and in local injection procedures but is less frequently applied in visualizing deep joints and injections. The purpose of this study is to describe the results of USG-guided facet joint injection in a 19-year-old male patient with low back pain for the preceding year and a preliminary diagnosis of facet syndrome, together with a review of the literature.
