Daily monitoring of psychological parameters, encompassing chemical and physical signals, has become increasingly valuable for the management of chronic diseases. Among various vital signs, carbon dioxide exchange and pulse rate (PR) serve as critical indicators for the comprehensive assessment of the cardiopulmonary system. However, simultaneous monitoring of these chemical and physical signals in a nonintrusive manner is challenging. This study presents a wearable bracelet that enables simultaneous monitoring of transcutaneous carbon dioxide (TcCO2) and PR using a nanomaterials‐modified lensless CMOS imager. The proposed bracelet exhibits exceptional sensitivity, selectivity, and anti‐humidity interference in TcCO2 detection, and achieves reliable tracking of TcCO2 and PR fluctuations induced by daily activities, demonstrating great potential in the comprehensive assessment of cardiopulmonary system. In addition, the proposed compact imaging approach is multiplexed and extensible, providing a promising sensing platform for the future development of multifunctional wearable devices. Benzene derivatives in wastewater have negative impacts on ecosystems and human health, making their removal prior to discharge imperative. In this study, Fe3O4@AC–NH2@Cu–opa (AC–NH2 = aminoclay, Cu–opa = [Cu(opa)(bipy)0.5(H2O)]n (H2opa = 3-(4-oxypyridinium-1-yl) phthalic acid)) nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized as adsorbent and catalyst for phenolic compound removal from wastewater. Fe3O4@AC–NH2@Cu–opa NPs demonstrated outstanding performance in the adsorption of phenol, exhibiting a remarkable adsorption capacity of up to 166.39 mg g−1 according to the Langmuir model. The composite also exhibited higher Fenton activity toward the degradation of electron-rich organic phenolic pollutants, with a rate approximately 3.4 times higher than that of Fe3O4 alone. The high catalytic activity of the composite was attributed to the large surface area and abundant active sites of the 2D charge-separated Cu–MOF. Meanwhile, the superparamagnetism of the Fe3O4 core enabled magnetic recollection and reuse without any significant loss of activity. Therefore, use of Fe3O4@AC–NH2@Cu–opa/H2O2 shows potential in an efficient method for the removal of phenolic compounds from wastewater. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The host material is crucial for significantly enhancing the performance of solution-processed OLEDs. Herein, two diphenyl-sulfone based dendrimers with highly branched spherical geometry are developed as versatile solution-processible hosts for phosphorescence, thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF), and multi-resonance narrow-band emitters. The paddle-like twisted configuration endows the host with a small singlet and triplet splitting (ΔEST) of 0.20 eV and high triplet energy of up to 2.9 eV, which can be qualified for most of the color gamut of solution-processible emitters. In addition, both hosts also exhibit clear AIE properties in the molecular packaging state, promotes the utilization of excitons and efficient energy transfer to guest materials. By using 4Cz-SO as the host, phosphorescent OLEDs achieved the maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 13.7% and 14.5% for blue and white devices, respectively. Moreover, such dendrimers can also be an efficient good host for TADF and multi-resonance narrow-band emitters, both of which achieved a better device efficiency and a small efficiency roll-off than the classical solution-processed host PVK. Here, a smartwatch for sweat monitoring was presented for perspiration analysis. The smartwatch played the part of analyzing, computing, and displaying the real‐time data with the feature of comfortable wearing and lightweight ergonomic design. Moreover, the paper‐based microfluidic patch with a three‐dimensional structure was proposed to realize the sweat collection and solve the issue of sweat accumulation. To further realizing the sweat monitoring, the potassium and sodium ion‐selective electrodes were developed by the screen‐printing technique. The experiment of on‐body monitoring the K+ and Na+ in sweat had been carried out to further demonstrate the feasibility of the smartwatch. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Selection of the most appropriate contractor for the installation of solar panels is essential to maximizing the benefit of this renewable, sustainable energy source. Solar energy is one of the 100% renewable energy sources, but implementation may not be very simple and cost-effective. A key phase in the implementation of renewable energy is the evaluation of contractors for the installation of solar panels, which is addressed as a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem. A new hybrid method is proposed that combines the stepwise weight analysis ratio assessment (SWARA) and full consistent method (FUCOM) weights that are represented as grey numbers used with traditional grey relational analysis (GRA) and evaluation based on distance from average solution (EDAS) methods. The ranking of contractors by both methods is the same, which confirmed the results presented in this research. The use of the grey SWARA-FUCOM weighting method combined with the GRA and EDAS methods increased the decision-makers' (DMs) confidence in awarding the installation of the solar panel energy system to the top-ranked contractor. The aim of the present study was to investigate the antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects of water-soluble polysaccharides (RVLWP) and alkali-soluble polysaccharides (RVLAP) from Russula vinosa on carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced acute liver damage in mice. For the in vitro antioxidant activities, RVLWP and RVLAP exhibited potent 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity (IC50 = 1.55 ± 0.04 and 3.37 ± 0.21 mg/mL, respectively), hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity (IC50 = 6.07 ± 0.24 and 9.23 ± 0.54 mg/mL, respectively), lipid peroxidation inhibitory effect (IC50 = 0.52 ± 0.095 and 0.86 ± 0.043 mg/mL, respectively), and moderate reducing power and Fe(2+) chelating activity (IC50 = 1.86 ± 0.0036 and 0.22 ± 0.0057 mg/mL, respectively). Ascorbic acid was employed as the standard antioxidant in the present study. For the in vivo hepatoprotective activity, administration of RVLWP and RVLAP (200 mg/kg) significantly prevented the elevation in serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activities in acute liver damage induced by CCl4 and suppressed hepatic malondialdehyde (MDA) formation. Mice treated with RVLWP and RVLAP demonstrated a better profile of antioxidants with augmented activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) in the liver. The results suggest that RVLWP and RVLAP protect the liver from CCl4-induced hepatic damage via antioxidant mechanisms.
