Lanthanide complexes of acetylacetonate-meso-tetra-(1-naphthyl) tetrabenzoporphyrin, Ln (TNTBP) acac (Ln = Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu; TNTBP = meso-tetra-(1-naphthyl) tetrabenzoporphyrin; Hacac = acetylacetone) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, ultra-violet visible spectra, infrared spectra, X-ray photoelectron spectra and 1H NMR spectra. Abstract

Coordination compounds of rare earth chlorides with Schiff base derived from vanillin (3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-benzaldehyde) and 2-naphthylamine have been prepared and characterized. The general formula of the coordination compounds, [LnL2Cl2(H20)2] Cl H20 (where Ln - La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Tm, Lu; L = Schiff base), are based on the elemental analyses, infrared spectra, ultraviolet spectra, Raman Spectra, Molar conductance and thermal analyses.

Abstract

New coordination coapounds of rare earth nitrates with Schiff base derived from vanillin (3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-benzaldehyde) and 2-naphthylanine having the general formula [LnL2(N03)2] NO3 (where Ln = La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Er, Yb, Lu; L = Schiff base) have been prepared and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, infrared spectra, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, molar conductance and thermal analyses.

Abstract

The electrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide in aqueous solution using Co [p-N(CH3)3) TPPI under pressure (4∼22 kg · cm−2) was carried out on solid-state metal electrodes such as In, Sn, Pb and Pb-Hg. The reduction products were mainly carbon monoxide and a small amounts of formic acid. The effects of the pressure of carbon dioxide, electrolytes, catalyst concentration, electrode materials and potentials on the reduction of carbon dioxide were studied. The optimum voltage for maximum current efficiency of reduction products was at −1.2 Vvs. SCE for all four kinds of metal electrodes. High current efficiencies (>90%) were obtained with lead and amalgamated lead electrodes in an aqueous solution of NaHCO3 containing 7.4 × 10×5 mol/L of catalyst.
