The classic Economic Dispatch (ED) problem considers only the cost of power generation by thermal generators, often disregarding the safety parameters of the electrical network, environmental costs and especially the importance of predictive maintenance of the generators, when considering environmental costs in the optimization of ED this becomes a multi-objective problem Environmental Economic Dispatch (EED). Considering the global pressure to reduce emissions of pollutants in the atmosphere and environmental sustainability, incorporating the generation of Renewable Energies (RE) or Green Energy in the electricity grid is indispensable. Solar energy is becoming an important part of the power generation portfolio in many regions due to the fast decline in its costs and political incentives that favor the generation of clean energy sources. This article uses the Ant Lion Optimizer (ALO) method to solve the problem and EED restricted to the grid in a hybrid system (thermoelectric and photovoltaic). The results of the optimization problem were simulated in MATLAB. This research included 01 thermoelectric with 06 generators and 13 solar plants.

Esse estudo tem o objetivo de relacionar o surgimento da indústria 4.0 e o impacto desta revolução no contexto da segurança do trabalho dentro da manutenção industrial, por meio de pesquisas foi possível observar que os dois temas constituem uma conexão. A ideia principal da Indústria 4.0 é de facilitar e ampliar a comunicação entre máquinas, sistemas e ativos, possibilitando até um monitoramento remoto de equipamento, isso foi considerado um marco na indústria pelas inovações tecnológicas nos campos de automação, controle e tecnologia da informação. Com a chegada da Indústria 4.0, a manutenção de ativos passou ter a possibilidade de antecipar a detecção de problemas, podendo ser chamada de manutenção prescritiva, isso é possível devido às tecnologias aplicadas no processo e alinhadas com um bom Planejamento e Controle de Manutenção (PCM).Em relação à segurança do trabalho, os equipamentos só podem ser instalados ou modificados se atenderem os requisitos mínimos, conforme normas vigentes, com itens obrigatórios de segurança, interfaces de segurança de acordo com a NR 12 e NR10 no quesito de um dispositivo elétrico eletrônico.

The present study sought to highlight the importance of protection against electric discharges to a school in the public school of the city of Manaus-AM, based on the basic recommendations and guidelines for making decisions presented in the elaboration of a ADPS proposal. The methodology of the work was based on the collection of information on the subject from the theoretical-bibliographic research, as well as the accomplishment of the field research in the school through the technical visits for data collection. The results of the research were presented in the technical verification report of the ADPS need at school, so the study carried out a detailed study on the protection risk management, the analysis of the risk components to the atmospheric discharges, general risk assessment, evaluation the design of the protection system. Based on the report, the research presented the appropriate recommendations to assist school management in decision making, considering the importance of protecting the public heritage from the damages caused by the atmospheric discharges.

The design and implementation of maintenance tools is used in CAD / CAM tools, in order to make the necessary improvements in the whole process of disassembly of the equipment in question, and mainly to reduce the process time and eliminate the risk. breaking the most fragile parts of the equipment. The objective of the work is to elaborate the toolkit, to reduce the disassembly time and to eliminate damage to the equipment and its respective trajectories, with which the machine performs the machining of the designed drawing, were applied to the resources through a CNC language. (Computer Numeric Command) on a CNC lathe and a machining center. The elaboration of this project based on a CAD system, in this case Solid Works. The average time for disassembly of the equipment was around 2h, now with the proper use of tools, the same process had a time drop to 40 minutes, seen as a great time saving in the disassembly process.

This paper introduces the concept of fuzzy logic, some terms used in this kind of logic, and uses it to evaluate and choose where to deploy factories and other enterprises. In addition, a model is made using the InFuzzy program to evaluate a choice of a location within the Manaus Industrial Pole - PIM, using objective and subjective criteria within the fuzzy logic. This article aims to present the fuzzy logic in the context of production engineering, select the parameters that define the best location, develop models that represent the subject in the study and verify the applicability by simulating other case studies and comparing results.

Fuzzy logic is the logic defined from the theory of fuzzy sets. It differs from the crisp logic (traditional) in their characteristics and their details. In textbooks on fuzzy inference systems, exemplified superficially implementation creating doubts among computer science students. Traditionally, teachers teach IC with the use of conceptual models. This model was to serve specified parameters computing courses, allowing students to study and development of computational models using Matlab Fuzzy Logic Toolbox (MFLT) for fault detection in engines. This paper proposes an academic learning model based on fuzzy inference and modeling to detect incipient faults in components of internal combustion engines.

The paper aims to present the results of an assessment of adherence to the Deep Q-learning algorithm, applied to a vehicular navigation robot. The robot's job was to transport parts through an environment, for this purpose, a decision system was built based on the Deep Q-learning algorithm, with the aid of an artificial neural network that received data from the sensors as input and allowed autonomous navigation in an environment. For the experiments, the mobile robot-maintained communication via the network with other robotic components present in the environment through the MQTT protocol.

Este projeto teve com objetivo o desenvolvimento de um protótipo de um dispositivo eletromecânico para ser adaptado a uma cadeira de rodas convencional, de forma que possibilite a elevação da cadeira juntamente com o cadeirante a fim de que ele possa ter acesso a objetos que estejam localizados em partes superiores de móveis, prateleiras, entre outros, tanto em locais públicos quanto em sua propria residência, melhorando a acessibilidade.

O estudo se destina a abordagem das possíveis falhas em elementos de máquinas (rolamentos) fabricados em AISI 52100 e seus principais mecanismos de desgaste sendo adesão, abrasão, corrosão e fadiga. Serão apresentados os principais tipos de lubrificantes, dando ênfase nos óleos e graxas quanto a suas características físico-químicas e seus principais aditivos. Para viabilidade do estudo foi desenvolvido um dispositivo que realizou ensaios em um mesmo lubrificante de viscosidade 15W4-50 com períodos de utilização distintos sendo estes 1000, 2000 e 3000 km, desta forma foi possível medir o rompimento da película de lubrificação em função da pressão exercida pelo dispositivo e sendo assim exemplificar de maneira efetiva os efeitos danosos aos elementos de máquinas em função da má gestão da lubrificação.

O atual cenário observado nas fontes energéticas e hídricas do Brasil exige formas de uso mais controladas que garantam a sustentabilidade destes recursos. Nesse sentido, a proposta deste trabalho foi a de produzir resultados que possam ser rapidamente empregados pela sociedade de todas as classes sociais em um ambiente onde mais se concentra o consumo de água e energia: o box do banheiro. Foram desenvolvidas quatro estratégias que irão auxiliar o uso racional da água e energia. O primeiro consiste de uma intervenção sistêmica dos chuveiros domésticos visando reduzir o consumo de energia em até 75% além de reduzir a vazão de água, sem danificar a resistência elétrica. Uma segunda estratégia é o aperfeiçoamento de um trocador de calor para chuveiro que aproveita o calor da água rejeitada para o ralo para pré-aquecer a água que irá entrar no chuveiro, com aproveitamento de até 44%. Como terceira estratégia, uma camada de material hidrofóbica foi depositada sobre as paredes internas do box do chuveiro, visando diminuir a retenção de sujeiras e resíduos nestas superfícies, que resultou na redução da necessidade de lavar este ambiente e, por fim, uma quarta estratégia consiste de um sistema que monitora a atividade do banho por meio da resistividade da água descartada no ralo, esta resistividade irá indicar se a pessoa ainda está tomando banho ou se está havendo desperdício, caso seja caracterizado o desperdício uma solenoide irá cortar o fornecimento de água do chuveiro. Os resultados obtidos foram aderentes com o projetado e o trabalho sugere que novos estudos podem ser feitos visando melhorar a eficiência energética e hídrica no local de banho.

Economic-emission load dispatch uses the fuel cost variables and gas emission in a minimized way to obtain an optimal operation in generation units in a power plant, guaranteeing the supply of demand. The first variable is definitive to ensure business continuity and the second to comply with environmental legislation and no degradation of the environment. This paper analyzes the use of a new computational optimization algorithm based on the cultural algorithm (CA), improved with local search techniques simulated annealing and Tabu search, using data from a real power plant with 10 generators and the system of the IEEE with 13 generating units. The application has two options of operation: the classic one, which operates with all generators seeking to minimize the cost and emission meeting the specified demand; and the controlled one, which turns off the generators that have the highest incremental fuel cost but guaranteeing the demand and reducing the emission of gases. Simulations were performed on the six possible options in this application. The results obtained were compared with each other and with the results of other techniques reported in the literature. The local search that improved the CA and the new way of updating topographic knowledge allowed the results to be better than those found by other metaheuristics that solved the same problem of the real plant and the IEEE system.

The optimization of passive filters in industrial systems has been presented by different computational methods. The objective of this paper is to develop a computational algorithm with NSGA II to select the configuration and design parameters of a set of passive filters for industrial installations. As a methodology, the optimization problem was addressed using three independent objective functions of innovative character for compensation of harmonics through passive filters as a multiobjective problem. The results were the computational solution to this problem that determines a set of Pareto optimal solutions (Frontier). In addition, the computational tool has several new features such as: calculates the parameters that characterize the filters, but also selects the type of configuration and the number of branches of the filter in each candidate bar according to a set of pre-established configurations according to PRODIST-M8 (Brazilian Standard) and IEEE 519-2014. Also determine solutions with good power quality indicators (THD, TDD and NPV) for several characteristic and non-characteristic scenarios of the system that allow to represent: daily variations of the load, and variations of system parameters and filters. It evaluates the cost of energy bills in an industrial power grid that has different operating conditions (characteristic scenarios) and evaluates the economic effect of harmonic filters as reactive power compensators.

To solve the problem of the economic emission load dispatch (EELD) is necessary minimize the total cost of fuel consumption and carbon emission. In this study is applied the ant lion optimizer (ALO) to this problem. The cost function and emission function with their respective restrictions are being using. To present the results this proposal is applied in IEEE 30 bus system that consists of six thermal units. The results for this case study with the application of ant lion with all generators on with demand being met, the total fuel cost is 48915.36652 ($/h). The results this method can be compared with another metaheuristic algorithms and helps the plant operators in the decision making of preventive maintenance.

One of the critical points in the framework of air transport, is the management of luggage at airports. Every year, a large number of people feel the need to travel for various reasons and that efficient management is a difficult task that needs to keep up with the growth demand in a satisfactorily. One of the problems that has not been solved is exactly the loss, misplacement or mishandling of baggage at airports, given the difficulty of the current management systems to monitor the baggage, which causes unwanted situations to life. Radiofrequency Identification Technology (RFID), integrated with an information system, presents itself as a solution to numerous daily setbacks in various segments, because its main feature is basically to capture information at a distance about some element in movement. By implementing a smart tag (tag) in each baggage, it becomes possible to trace it along the path. In order to solve this problem, the present work aims to develop a prototype software, integrated with RFID, to simulate the control of luggage at airports by means of three scenarios where luggage misplacement may occur.

In order to control the drying temperature of the PET resin in the silo of the plastic injection molding machine, during the plastic injection process in the industries producing preforms for the manufacture of beverage bottles, care is taken in the ideal temperature regulation for the better performance in controlling the generation of Acetaldehyde (AA), which alters the taste of carbonated or non-carbonated drinks, providing a citrus nuance to the palate and questioning the quality of the packaged products The objective of this work is to develop a tool based on Fuzzy logic to support the control of the drying temperature of PET resin, allowing specialists to make the ideal temperature control decisions necessary to control the generation of Acetaldehyde (AA). For the development of the proposed Fuzzy inference model, we used the Matlab Fuzzy toolbox tool, where the input variables, the fuzzyfication rules and the output variable were implemented based on the data collected from the preform injection process. From the inference model, we obtained a more precise management of the variables that influence the generation of AA, estimating a reduction of $ 240,044.00 in annual costs in the production of preforms.

The development of a computational tool to support the decision of load dispatch according to the operational conditions of motors and generators of power plants has been proposed, which are classified in relation to the probabilities of faults by a fuzzy system developed in this text, from indicators obtained from the analysis of lubricating oil, vibration analysis, and thermography of power generation equipment. The study is based on the principle of operation and operational conditions of the equipment to be dispatched for generation in a power plant, in addition to its particularities as specific consumption and polluting emission for each equipment. In this way, this work aims not only to provide the tools to monitor these equipment but also, based on the management reports of vibration analysis, temperature, and oil analysis, take corrective actions to maintain the necessary reliability and achieve the quality of the service through a preclearance procedure that takes into account the operating conditions of the equipment, obtaining performance indicators of the plan.

One of the main challenges faced in thermal power plants (TPPs) is to provide the required energy demand at the minimum price possible. The optimization of generators and their work regime is known as economic dispatch (ED). The essential objective of ED is to operate TPPs, satisfying the demand at the lowest possible cost of fuel. One of the methods used according to the literature is the nondominated genetic algorithm classification [nondominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II)], which is considered a bi-objective problem along with a cost function of fuel and the other functions of the amount of emissions. In this chapter the proposed solution has the following contributions: apply the function called emission index. The functions of the emission and fuel cost indexes are optimized by applying the metaheuristic NSGA-II, determining optimal solutions to the power output of the generators in several typical scenarios and not characteristic of the plants, it may be applied to any fuel. It was used as a set of 10 power generating units of TPP in the city of Manaus and an IEEE system with 10 generating units. These results were significant in relation to emission level and using the optimization procedure of NSGA-II.

The reduction of fuel costs in the production of electric power in Power Plants (PP) is one of the most significant problems in this industry. This problem is known as optimization of the Economic Load Dispatch (ELD). The objective of this paper is to analyze the application of the Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm (ABC) metaheuristics, considering the incremental cost of fuel and the shutdown of the engines with the highest fuel cost per MWh in UTEs whose installed capacity exceeds the required power demand. Several techniques have been developed to solve the problem of ELD, among them: lambda iteration method, gradient method, Newton method and so on. The results for this study with the application of ABC, considering the shutdown of the generators of higher cost per MWh, obtaining a mean reduction of 6.54% in the total fuel cost, compared to the classic solutions that use all engines of the UTE. In addition to cost reduction, this proposal helps the specialist responsible for the management of the UTE in the decision making of the preventive maintenance of the engines that are not being used at the moment of the optimization, improving not only the generation efficiency, but also the generation planning of the plant.

A problem that is much studied today is the economic emission load dispatch (EELD) that seeks to minimize the total cost of fuel consumption and carbon emission. This problem is different from the economic load dispatch (ELD) that only seeks to minimize costs. In this work is applied a new optimization tool to solve this problem, the ant lion optimizer (ALO). Two functions are being used in this multi-objective metaheuristic algorithm, the cost function and emission function with their respective restrictions. Many materials and methods have been elaborated to fix the economic emission load dispatch, among them are as follows: differential evolution method, gradient method and Newton’s method. The results for this case study, with the two application of ant lion, one with all generators on and another with the less efficient generators turned off, and in both cases the demand being met, were outstanding having a reduction of 9.21% in the total fuel cost, comparing to classical methods that distribute the generation of power among all generators, including the least efficient ones. This method helps the plant operators in the decision making of preventive maintenance of machines that are not working in. Besides solving the problem of the EELD this work also takes into account the shutdown of less efficient generators to meet the demand.

Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o desempenho do classico algoritmo cultural (CA) com uma nova proposta CA hibrido com duas tecnicas de pesquisa locais (Simulated Annealing - SA e Busca Tabu - BT). Para diversificar os testes, no AC com SA houve variacao da energia do parâmetro, e no AC com BT, houve variacao no tamanho da lista de tabu. Os algoritmos foram submetidos a dois cenarios (cenario 1 - Funcoes basicas, cenario 2 - Funcoes hibridas). O algoritmo proposto difere de outros encontrados na literatura, pelo processo de alimentacao do conhecimento topografico que orienta a pesquisa. A analise foi realizada utilizando os testes Friedman, Friedman Aligned e Quades, que servem para comparar o comportamento de um conjunto de algoritmos de uma so vez.
