New varieties of cowpea Vigna unguiculata L. Walp have been developed in the Colombian Caribbean with higher protein, vitamin and mineral content. However, it is necessary to expand information on the behavior of these varieties in different environments to improve management practices and yields; in such a way that it is a promising business option for small producers. The objective of the study was to evaluate the response of the bush-grown cowpea line MISSOURI to fertilization with different sources under soil and climatic conditions in the municipality of Ariguaní, Magdalena. The experiment was conducted from November 2022 to January 2023, in an area characterized by FAr textured soils, slightly acidic and of moderate fertility. The effect of the following factors was evaluated: Phosphorus with three levels (0, 25 and 50) kg/ha and Potassium with three levels (0, 25 and 50) kg/ha, in addition, Nitrogen with a dose of 25 kg/ha, foliar nutrition and organic fertilizer (compost) 6 t/ha, on grain yield. A randomized complete block design with a 3x3+3 factorial arrangement was used for a total of 12 treatments and four replications. There were no significant differences (p>0.05) between fertilizer sources and doses evaluated on the yield of the cowpea line MISSOURI, under the climatic and soil conditions of the municipality of Ariguaní. However, it was evident that there were significant differences between the levels (doses) of the Potassium factor, with the application of the dose of 25 Kg/ha being favorable for grain yield.
