In communication technologies, rapid resolution of signals in parallel has an important place, especially in real-time applications. In many signal applications, the slowness of the system causes packets to miss information, which causes the signal to not be processed correctly. Therefore, within the scope of this study, the mathematical infrastructure and outputs of the system for detecting the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) packets, which is a digital transmission type, with Python, and finding correlation and packet initiation are given. After the packet is detected, the signal is decoded with the phase correction and decoding processes, which are the signal processing steps, and the operation of the system on the CPU and GPU together with the parallel and serial operation is examined. As a result of the examinations, how much the system is optimized on the GPU according to the CPU is also shown separately in the function blocks. Thus, it will be possible to integrate this system into different signal processing projects by decoding WiFi in real time.

This paper presents a system that monitors the health of structural elements in Reinforced Concrete (RC), concrete elements and/or masonry buildings and warn the authorities in case of physical damage formation. Such rapid and reliable detection of impairments enables the development of better risk management strategies to prevent casualties in case of earthquake and floods. Piezoelectric (PZT) sensors with lead zirconate titanate material are the preferred sensor type for fracture detection. The developed sensor mote hardware triggers the PZT sensors and collects the responses they gather from the structural elements. It also sends the collected data to a data center for further processing and analysis in an energy-efficient manner utilizing low-power wireless communication technologies. The access and the analysis of the collected data can be remotely performed via a web interface. Performance results show that the fractures serious enough to cause structural problems can be successfully detected with the developed system. (C) 2018 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

We consider a novel jamming attack that jointly targets the cyclic prefix (CP) and pilot symbols. The deteriorating performance of this attack is compared with the known techniques, including barrage jamming, CP based jamming, pilot jamming and pilot nulling attacks through a software define radio (SDR) based implementation. The communication performance between transmitter and receiver under distinct attacks is monitored through error vector magnitude (EVM), bit error rate (BER) and modulation error ratio (MER) measurements.
