Located at 124 Eureka Street, Central City, Colo., the two-story stone and brick structure built in 1876 has rounded windows and doorways with a decorative brick cornice. "Williams' Stables" is painted across the front below the second story windows with "Livery & Feed Stable" painted around the arch of the front entryway. On each side of the entry is painted other information about the services offered by the establishment. Restoration work included reviving the brick, restoring all painted signage and adding paint around the trim of the windows and entrances.

View of the Coeur d' Alene Mine Shaft House located at 101 Academy Street, Central City, Colo. The mine operated from 1885 producing gold, silver, lead copper, and zinc until production stopped in 1940. The red painted metal and wood shaft house is located above the town on Academy Hill and was used later as a storage facility by the Gilpin Historical Society. In 2010, the structure was restored and is now in use as a museum.

View of the old Gilpin County Courthouse located at 203 Eureka Street, Central City, Colo. The simple Italianate style structure has decorative brackets, round arched windows, pressed and corned brick and is dominated by square corner towers with a recessed central loggia and entry. Built in 1900, the design for the structure was by the Baerresen Brothers. Today the Gilpin County Court has moved to the Gilpin County Justice Center a few miles north of Black Hawk. This structure now functions as the Gilpin County Administration Center.

On each side of the entrance are painted signs advertising the services offered by the establishment.

View of the Thomas-Billings House located at 209 Eureka Street, Central City, Colo. The two-story clapboard Greek Revival structure is built around the entrance to a mine. The interior and exterior of the house are virtually unchanged since 1917 and feature pedimented doorways and windows, corner pilasters, and Tuscan style columns on the front porch. Surrounded by a white picket fence, the house is now a museum run by the Gilpin Historical Society.

View of U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant's bedroom in the Teller House located at 110 Eureka Street, Central City, Colo. The room was designed for the visit of President Grant in 1873, and although he did visit, he never actually slept in the room. It is furnished with a four post wooden bed with partial canopy, a small table with lamp and two painting, one of which is of President Grant.
