Objective: To explore genes potentially co-expressed with cyclin E in gastric cancer and discover possible targets for gastric cancer treatment. Methods: The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) stomach adenocarcinoma sequencing data were used to predict genes co-expressed with cyclin E. Co-expression genes predicted by cBioPortal online analysis with Pearson correlation coefficient ≥0.4 were analyzed by gene ontology (GO) enrichment annotation using the PANTHER online platform (Ver. 7). Interactions between proteins encoded by these genes were analyzed using the STRING online platform (Ver. 10.5) and Cytoscape software (Ver. 3.5.1). Genes displaying a high degree of connection were analyzed by transcription factor enrichment prediction using FunRich software (Ver. 3). The significant transcription factor and cyclin E expression levels and their impact on gastric cancer progression were analyzed by Western blotting and Kaplan-Meier survival curve analysis. Results: After filtering the co-expression gene prediction results, 78 predicted genes that included 73 protein coding genes and 5 non-coding genes with Pearson correlation coefficient ≥0.4 were selected. The expressions of the genes were considered to be correlated with cyclin E expression. Among the 78 genes co-expressed with cyclin E, 19 genes at the central of the regulatory network associated with cyclin E were discovered. Nuclear transcription factor Y subunit alpha (NF-YA) was identified as a significant transcription factor associated with cyclin E co-expressing genes. Analysis of specimen donors’ clinical records revealed that high expression of NF-YA tended to be associated with increased cyclin E expression. The expression of both was associated with progression of gastric cancer. Western blotting results showed that compared with normal tissues, NF-YA and cyclin E were highly expressed in tumor tissues (P < 0.001). Survival curve analysis clearly demonstrated relatively poor overall survival of gastric cancer patients with high cyclin E or high NF-YA expression level, compared to patients with low cyclin E or NF-YA expression (P < 0.05). Conclusions: NF-YA may promote gastric cancer progression by increasing the transcription of cyclin E and other cell cycle regulatory genes. NF-YA might be a potential therapeutically useful prognostic factor for gastric cancer. Key words: Cyclin E; Nuclear transcription factor Y subunit alpha; Oncogene; Gastric cancer

Toxicities can affect cancer patients' quality of life resulting in poor adherence to adjuvant chemotherapy (AC). While previous studies have explored the prevalence of toxicities following AC, few have examined the associations of baseline characteristics, such as age, sex, and performance status, with toxicity outcomes. In this study, we reviewed a cohort of 371 colorectal cancer patients treated with adjuvant monotherapy (capecitabine ) or combination therapy (FOLFOX or CAPOX) within 12 weeks of curative resection, and determined the associations between baseline characteristics and toxicity outcomes. Median age was 65 years, 52% were men, and 41% received monotherapy. A number of toxicities appeared to decrease with successive AC cycles. We study Hausdorff continua in which every set of certain cardinality contains a subset which disconnects the space. We show that such continua are rimfinite. We give characterizations of this class among metric continua. As an application of our methods, we show that continua in which each countably infinite set disconnects are generalized graphs. This extends a result of Nadler for metric continua.

For cooled 320×240 staring focal plane array (FPA), a novel long wavelength infrared dual field-of-view optical system is presented in the paper. The optical system is composed of re-imaging part and zooming part. The parameters of the system are 1.96 f/number, 100% cold shield efficiency, 180mm/60mm effective focal length (EFL) and 8-10 μm spectrum region. The optical system is analyzed from two modes of narrow field of view (NFOV) and wide field of view (WFOV). The system can be used in the temperature range from-30°Cand 60°C without significant degradation of optical performance. The final test results prove the designed performance is good..

In this work, we present the comparison of hysteresis behaviors of HfAlON and HfSiON high-k dielectrics at low-temperature and subjected to constant voltage stress (CVS). The VFB instability in the HfAlON and HfSiON gate dielectric were deeply studied. A model is proposed to explain the VFB shift and hysteresis direction in thus two samples. We also treat the CVS voltage and CVS time dependence of hysteresis and VFB shift. Otherwise, the C-V hystereses were tested in a variety temperature system. The decreasing hysteresis with temperature is ascribed to the "freeze" traps.

The microscanning technique can improve a detector's capabilities in infrared focal plane array imaging. A common way to realize the microscanning technique is to utilize an actuator to make a reflector swing. Here a novel microscanning device is presented in this paper. The principle is on the condition that a spring subassembly matches the actuator, a reflector swings with high frequency. There are two methods of realizing the novel device. One is that the output of the spring subassembly is set as a variable parameter, so the spring subassembly and other elements make up of a spring system. Controlling the frequency and amplitude of the spring subassembly can realize the microscanning function. The other one is that the output of the spring subassembly is set as an invariable parameter, controlling the rotary acceleration of the reflector can realize the microscanning function. The different controllable modes of the two methods are established. In the two methods, controllable parameters are the rigidity coefficient of the spring, the advance compressing distance of the spring, the distance between the axis of the actuator and the rotary axis of the reflector, the rotary inertia of rotary units. The experiments show that the two methods all can realize the novel device, and the second method is better than the first one.

Based on the spectral characteristics of the target, dual spectral imaging system is conducted in target detection. The dual spectral system has simultaneously less false alarm probability and widened operating distance, There are many models of dual spectral system, such as ultraviolet and visible light, visible light and near infrared, mid-IR and long-IR system and etc. The principle of dual spectral system is described, and especially the paper studied deeply hybrid refractive-reflective dual-band system; refractive mid-IR and long-IR system. A designed sample of part-optics-light-path refractive detection system based on the application of re-imaging and 100% cold shield efficiency is given which is operating in the 3.7~4.8μm and 7.7~10.3μm wavelength bands and the rectification of the ray aberrations in both bands has been simultaneously accomplished. Because of the same aperture, field of view and focal length, the dual spectral optical images can be coupled and be simultaneously displayed in one picture.

The ring laser gyroscope (RLG), as a rotation sensor, has been widely used for navigation and guidance on vehicles and missiles. The environment of strong random-vibration and large acceleration may deteriorate the performance of the RLG due to the vibration-induced tilting of the mirrors. In this paper the RLG performance is theoretically analyzed and the parameters such as the beam diameter at the aperture, cavity mirror alignment sensitivities and power loss due to the mirror tilting are calculated. It is concluded that by carefully choosing the parameters, the significant loss in laser power can be avoided.
