Swing movements and muscle strength are essential for mastering badminton techniques. Traditionally, students learn badminton through their instructor's physical demonstration, verbal instructions, and small group activities. To enhance students' learning experience and assist badminton instructors more effectively, this study proposes an alternative teaching approach that utilizes a Badminton Teaching-Assisted System (BTAS) to teach swing movements. The system uses a gesture control armband to collect electromyography and gyroscope signals from professional players, which are then used to build a machine learning model based on the back propagation neural network. The model can be used as a scoring tool to assess the correctness of the student's swing movements and muscle strength. A total of 87 students participated in an eleven-week experiment focusing on two fundamental badminton skills: The backhand push and backhand lift. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in the correctness of the muscle strength during swing movements for the experimental group, compared to the control group. The BTAS can help to enhance the effectiveness of badminton instruction, thereby improving students' swing techniques. Future research could expand upon this study to develop more precise artificial intelligence-based sports assistance systems, which would facilitate personalized teaching and learning in physical education.

This study explores a jigsaw-based learning method for collaboration on cloud platforms. We implement and test the method on a Masters course with 42 students from 17 countries. Regression analysis results revealed that the jigsaw method influenced individual learning in the group, usefulness of Google Classroom and slides influenced group learning, and cultural differences influenced collaboration. Collaboration also affected classroom community. Teachers can benefit from our findings by increasing usage of the jigsaw method and cloud platforms to foster learning through collaboration. Moreover, teachers can turn cultural differences into an advantage and help students enhance social connections. Moreover, improvements in collaboration could foster students' classroom community.

This study proposed a game-based instruction approach by using bingo games and a mobile application to investigate its effects on motivation, knowledge sharing and critical thinking ability during the learning of information management. The participants were 86 undergraduate students who participated in an 18-week experimental instruction of information management in which bingo games and Socrative were employed. Both the qualitative and quantitative data were analysed. The results showed that while the bingo games may carry more effects on enhancing learning motivation, Socrative may lead to more knowledge sharing and critical thinking. In addition, both instructional methods had positive influences on learning outcomes through different mechanisms and shared mechanisms. The shared mechanisms included focused attention, brainstorming, active participation, interaction and logical thinking. Notably, there were interactions among motivation, knowledge sharing and critical thinking; moreover, the blended approach, which integrated the bingo games and Socrative, improved the participants' critical thinking ability.

The concept of a cashless society has received increasing attention due to the prevalence of cashless transactions and the circulation of digital currency. The benefit of a cashless society is that mobile payment allows efficient, convenient, transparent, and traceable transactions. This study examined the influence of switching costs on customer satisfaction, stickiness, and intention to switch to mobile payment services. We also studied the effect of financial literacy on mobile payment services. Self-efficacy is irrelevant for experienced mobile payment users in terms of customer satisfaction and stickiness. Financial switching costs and self-efficacy (procedural switching costs) have no influence on user satisfaction and stickiness toward mobile payment services, whereas risk tolerance (procedural switching costs) and social influence (relational switching costs) positively influence these two factors. User stickiness partially mediates the relationship between user satisfaction and users' switching intention toward mobile payment services. Our findings can help mobile payment enterprises focus on operational strategies and enhance the reputation of social networks to increase user satisfaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: The eradication rates of sequential therapy are high in clinical trials; however, the adherence for follow‐up or the patient population in a real‐world setting might be different from those in trails. This study investigates the effectiveness of sequential therapy in a real‐world setting and the factors that lead to treatment failure. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study, patients receiving sequential therapy as a first‐line anti‐Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) treatment in a real‐world setting were reviewed. The age adjusted Charlson Comorbidity Index (age‐CCI) and baseline variety of medications were reviewed to determine factors correlated with nonadherence for post‐treatment testing and H. pylori eradication failure. Results: A total of 1053 patients were reviewed. A total of 579 patients receiving sequential therapy were included in the analyses. Among them, 462 received post‐treatment testing and were placed into the follow‐up group. Thus, the post‐treatment testing rate was 79.8%. Stroke was an independent factor of nonadherence for post‐treatment testing. In the follow‐up group, the eradication failure rate was 8.2%. Female sex (odds ratio [OR] 2.41 [95% CI 1.16–5.03], p = 0.02) and age‐CCI ≥2 (OR 3.16 [1.05–9.48], p = 0.04) were independent factors of H. pylori eradication failure. The eradication failure rates were 14.4%, 7.8%, 7.1%, and 3.1% for the females with age‐CCI ≥2, females with age‐CCI <2, males with age‐CCI ≥2, and males with age‐CCI <2 subgroups, respectively (p = 0.027). Conclusions: In a real‐world setting, the adherence rate of post‐treatment testing for sequential therapy as a first‐line anti‐H. pylori treatment was found to be suboptimal.
