This study extends previous research by examining the mental health issues of international mainland Chinese college students in Thailand. The research specifically proposed that mental health issues originate from the relationship between life adaptation and mental health disorders, and this study was conducted to test this assertion. Nine hundred international mainland Chinese college students in Thailand participated in an online survey. The results showed that life adaptation in respect of family relationships, interpersonal relationships, emotions, and learning had a positive effect on mental health disorders and that female and junior students who stayed in Thailand for 1 to 2 years were likely to have significant mental health issues.

Thai Immigration Department shows the total number of Chinese nationals residing in Thailand at 91,272 in 2015, however, academic studies reveal the figure to be as high as 350,000-400,000 in the past decade. In terms of the huge population, except economic benefit to Thailand and more cross-cultural settings in the campus, there is a critical issue requiring urgent attention. Colleges cannot guarantee high-quality learning and consequently cannot attain their mission, accomplish their goals, or serve their valuable social, economic and public objectives without engaging in the mental and behavioral health matters of their students. Accordingly, this study aimed to examine Chinese international students' mental health and cross-cultural adaptation to study abroad in a university at Bangkok and investigate whether or not two factors were related to one another. A survey was applied for this investigation. The participants were 900 Chinese international students at a Thai university. The research discovered that different levels of college degrees and length of residence in Thailand were two main factors to influence mental health and cross-cultural adaptation. Incoming students and graduates specifically has a potential problem in cross-cultural adaptation.

Microwaves (MWs) quickly deliver relatively high temperatures into tumors and cover a large ablation zone. We present a research protocol for using water-cooled double-needle MW ablation arrays for tumor ablation here. Our research program includes computer modeling, tissue-mimicking phantom experiments, and in vitro swine liver experiments. The computer modeling is based on the finite element method (FEM) to evaluate ablation temperature distributions. In tissue-mimicking phantom and in vitro swine liver ablation experiments, the performances of the new device and the single-needle MW device currently used in clinical practice are compared. FEM shows that the maximum transverse ablation diameter (MTAD) is 4.2 cm at 100 W output and 300 s (assessed at the 50 °C isotherm). In the tissue-mimicking phantom, the MTDA is 2.6 cm at 50 W and 300 s in single-needle MW ablation, and 4 cm in double needle MW ablation array. In in vitro swine liver experiments, the MTAD is 2.820 ± 0.127 cm at 100 W and 300 s in single-needle MW ablation, and 3.847 ± 0.103 cm in MW ablation array. A new type of water-cooled MW ablation array is designed and tested, and has potential advantages over currently used devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Semi-worsted fabric has been rapidly developed because of its wide source of material, fine yarn and good handfeel, unfortunately the traditional washing and milling finishing machine and the technique can not achieve the fine quality of the semi-worsted fabric. The article point out and explain the shortcomings of traditional ropy washing, open-wide washing and milling machine in finishing the semi-worsted fabric, introduces the advantage, feature and the process of the multi-function milling and softening machine in finishing the semi-worsted fabric in details. We think that the multi-function milling and softening machine changes the traction way of the semi-worsted fabric, which is a new device for finishing the semi-worsted fabric. The machine has a positive role in improving the quality of semi-worsted fabric, shows the advantages of semi-worsted and promote the better and deeper processing of the semi-worsted fabric.
