Abstract

In the reliability analysis of slope stability, the deterministic analysis method is usually used to calculate the safety factor to evaluate the stability of slope. However, the inherent spatial variability of rock mass properties cannot be considered and described adequately in traditional deterministic method, resulting in the inaccurate calculation of slope failure probability. Based on Hoek-Brown criterion and random finite difference method (RFDM), the reliability analysis of slope stability and random response of pile are discussed in this paper considering spatial variability of rock mass. The uniaxial compressive strength σci and material constant for the intact rock mi are regarded as random field variables and geological strength index GSI is assumed to be a random variable. The results show that the spatial variability of rock mass parameters has a significant effect on slope failure probability and pile response. Ignoring the spatial variability of rock mass parameters will overestimate slope failure probability and the mean value of the maximum bending moment of anti-slide pile, and underestimate the mean value of displacement at pile head. The results can provide design guidance for slope reinforcement as well as layout optimization of anti-sliding piles.

Abstract

The Shuangyuangou copper deposit is located in the southern segment of the Qinling orogenic belt in central China. The ore‐related intrusions include quartz diorite porphyry, granite porphyry and lamprophyre. In this study, we present whole‐rock geochemistry, zircon U–Pb geochronology, trace elements and Lu–Hf isotope data on the Shuangyuangou intrusions which provide critical constraints on the emplacement age, magma origin, petrogenesis and implications for porphyry Cu mineralization in this newly discovered deposit. Zircon U–Pb dating constrains the emplacement age of quartz diorite porphyry, lamprophyre and granite porphyry at 150–147 Ma. The quartz diorite porphyry and granite porphyry display high‐K calc–alkaline I‐type granite affiliation. The rocks show enrichment of LREE and LILE (Rb, Ba), depletion in HREE and HFSE (Nb, Ta, Ti) and absence of Eu anomaly. Zircon εHf(t) values of quartz diorite porphyry, lamprophyre and granite porphyry range from −7.5 to −1.7 with TDM2 ages of 1.3–1.6 Ga. Our data suggest that the parental magma was derived from partial melting of juvenile lower crust and metasomatic lithospheric mantle, with more involvement of mantle material for the lamprophyre. The zircon Eu/Eu* values of 0.55–0.78 suggest high magmatic water content which suppresses the fractionation of plagioclase. In addition, the ΔFMQ values calculated from zircon trace elements range from −0.90 to 2.96 which is a favourable factor for porphyry Cu mineralization at Shuangyuangou. The Late Jurassic Shuangyuangou intrusion and associated Cu mineralization were formed within an intracontinental setting after the collisional assembly of the Qinling orogenic belt. Abstract

[Objectives] To investigate the microbial composition of larvae and adults of the important stored grain pest Rhyzopertha dominica (Fabricius). [Methods] The Illumina NovaSeq high-throughput sequencing platform was used to sequence the V3-V4 fragment of the bacterial 16S rDNA gene and the ITS1 fragment of the fungal ITS gene in larvae and adults of R. dominica. [Results] Valid reads of 16S rDNA from larvae and adults were 256 551 and 249 101, which were clustered to 214 and 251 OTUs, respectively. Valid ITS reads from larvae and adults were 196 246 and 109 184, which were clustered to 547 and 963 OTUs, respectively. The Flavobacteriales endosymbiont of R. dominica (FERD) was the dominant bacterial genus in R. dominica, comprising for 63.77% of the larval, and 88.28% of the adult, microbiome, respectively. Alternaria was the most abundant fungus, comprising for 44.62% of the larval, and 7.10% of the adult, microbiome, respectively. Alpha diversity analysis showed that there is a significant difference in the microbial diversity index of larvae and adults, but no significant difference in the richness index. Beta diversity analysis indicates that there is a significant difference between the larval and adult microbiome. [Conclusion] There are significant differences between the microbiomes of larval and adult R. dominica. Larvae had higher bacterial diversity, but lower fungal diversity, than adults. This study lays a foundation for the development of novel control technologies for stored grain pests based on "inhibiting microorganisms to control pests", and research on the environmental adaptability of symbionts in R. dominica. AbstractObjectiveTo assess executive functions (EFs) in patients with body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) compared with healthy controls.MethodsAdults diagnosed with BDD (n = 26) or OCD (n = 29) according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, and healthy controls (n = 28) underwent validated and computerized neuropsychological tests, spatial working memory (SWM), intra–extra-dimensional set shifting (IED), and stop signal task (SST), from the Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery (CANTAB). Test performance was compared between groups, and correlated with standardized symptom severity of BDD and OCD. Significance level was set to P< .05.ResultsThere were no statistically significant between-group differences on key outcome measures in SWM, IED, or SST. There was a weak positive correlation between symptom severity and test errors on SWM and IED in both OCD and BDD groups; increased clinical severity was associated with more errors in these tests. Furthermore, there was a negative correlation between symptom severity and SST in the BDD group.ConclusionsPatients with BDD or OCD did not differ from healthy control subjects in terms of test performance; however, there were several statistically significant correlations between symptom severity and performance in those with BDD or OCD. More studies on EFs in BDD and OCD are required to elucidate if there are differences in EFs between these two disorders.

Abstract

The amorphous indium-gallium-zinc-oxide (a-IGZO) thin films are prepared by radio frequency magnetron sputtering at ambient temperature. The transparent thin film transistors (TFT) fabricated at low temperature (a-IGZO active channel exhibits good electrical properties with a field effect mobility of around 10 cm2·V-1·s-1, subthreshold swing of 0.4 V/decade, and high Ionoff current ratio of over 107. Hysteresis is not observed when gate voltage sweeps forward and reverses. And the dependence of white LED illumination on characteristic of a-IGZO TFT is investigated. The results show that output characteristic is hardly affected, indicating the potential of the devices for transparent electronics In particular, illumination stability is investigated under white LED illumination stress test, and the a-IGZO TFT shows only 04 V shift in threshold voltage. The negative shift can be explained on the basis of trap of interface state.
