A hybrid battery power module composed of lead acid and LiFePO4 batteries for BLDC motor drive is proposed in this study. The lead acid batteries are used as the basic power source and directly connected to the motor drive without any power conversion losses. In addition, to enhance the instant power supply capability to the motor drive, the LiFePO4 batteries are integrated into the proposed hybrid battery power module. A two-phase interleaved dc converter is adopted to control the power flow among the LiFePO4 batteries, lead acid batteries and the motor drive. The common power requirement from the motor drive is designed to be totally provided by the lead acid batteries. Once the power demand became higher than the common level, the additional part would be instantly provided by the LiFePO4 batteries through the interleaved dc converter. The life of the lead acid batteries can therefore be enhanced by the high charging/discharging capability of the integrated LiFePO4 batteries. A prototype with 500W rated power is constructed. Corresponding experiments are carried out to verify the validity and performance of the proposed hybrid battery power module.

The fission gas activity monitors are used to detect the fission gas migrated to the cover gas plenum. The cladding of fuel element is one of the most important protective barriers. If the failure occurs on fuel pin, the fission gas released from the failed pin into coolant will lead to the increase of radioactivity level of the primary coolant. And in sodium-cooled fast reactor, the fission gas will transport from coolant into reactor cover gas plenum. In this work, according to the fission gas monitoring data from the cover gas, the models of fission gas release and migration as well as program are established based on MATLAB code. The number of failed fuel pins can be calculated by this program in different power, which can discover the fuel failure in time and evaluate the failure; it is very significant to the safety of reactor operation.

Considering that the signal analysis is usually based on dual-way intensity detection,a novel method is demonstrated that uses Stokes vector method to analyze the degree of polarization degree in the optical fiber current sensor.In approximate conditions,the reduction transmission matrix is deduced and obtained of the full optical fiber current sensor based on Mueller matrix.It is found that the effect of the Stokes vector method is similar to the Jones vector method;by comparing the Jones vector method with the actual experimental results,it is easy to know that the Stokes vector has more operational advantages,such as only real numbers included in the Mueller matrix,easily being changed to sparse matrix and the final polarization degree being obtained by calculating the second diagonal element of the total transmission matrix.This method can be used in the theoretical analysis of the degree of polarization,and simplify the analysis process and operation process effectively.

To evaluate the protective effects of dark soy sauce (DSS) against acrylamide (ACR)-induced neurotoxicity in rats, 60 adult Sprague Dawley female rats were given DSS (0.5 ml/kg body weight/day) before, after, and during ACR treatment (10 mg/kg body weight/day) for 8 weeks in total. Treatment only with ACR resulted in a significant increase in lipid peroxidation level, lactate dehydrogenase, and serum creatine kinase activity, but a significant decrease in superoxide dismutase activity in brain homogenate. Moreover, serum serotonin, corticosterone, 3, 5, 3'-triiodothyronine, and L-thyroxine, thyroid stimulating hormone, estradiol, progesterone, and plasma adrenaline decreased significantly in ACR rats. Treatment with DSS before, during, and after ACR treatment partially antagonized the effects induced by ACR. In conclusion, DSS exhibited a protective action against ACR-induced oxidative stress and biochemical perturbations in rats; and treatment with DSS during ACR exposure was more effective than after or before ACR treatment.
