32. Cycling Map Inference Using Global Positioning System Trajectories: A Case Study in the Online Food Delivery Business

Abstract

The online food delivery (OFD) business is booming in China. Owing to the timeliness requirements, delivery personnel in OFD platforms usually use electric bicycles to make deliveries. However, the accuracy and the coverage rate of existing cycling maps are relatively low, as is evidenced by a considerable amount of cycling global positioning system (GPS) trajectories that cannot be matched to existing maps, thus the efficiency of delivery is affected. Although there has been a proliferation of studies on driving or walking map inference using GPS trajectories, to the authors’ knowledge, none of them systematically investigate the cycling scenario. Our study addresses this gap. We work with Meituan—the largest OFD platform in China—and use the GPS trajectories reported by delivery personnel to infer the underlying cycling map. We first adapt three popular map inference algorithms, namely, k-means clustering, kernel density estimation, and trace merging. We also propose a new approach that infers the cycling network. We perform an initial inference of the underlying road network through an iterative process and apply a series of map refinement techniques to further improve the appearance of the inferred road network. The result shows that our algorithm reaches an F-score of 0.41, whereas the best existing algorithm we adapt reaches an F-score of 0.39. We also consider a special case that uses the driving map information in the area. In this case, a map-matching step is included and the overall F-score further increases from 0.41 to 0.70.

Abstract

A point-of-interest (POI) represents a specific point location that may be useful or interesting for people, and therefore, each and every building footprint in a topographic map can be recognized as a POI. Automatic extraction of building footprints using remote sensing images has become a challenging and important research topic, which is in demand for urban planning and development. Extensive studies have explored a variety of semantic segmentation methods using deep learning algorithms to achieve better performance in building footprint extraction; however, the existing algorithms were shown to have some limitations, which lead to poor segmentation results. Building roofs were recognized as building footprints in the previous studies. This is prone to error especially for high-rise buildings due to different sensor view angles. In this article, we propose a multitask Res-U-Net model with an attention mechanism for the extraction of the building roofs and the whole building shapes from remote sensing images and then use an offset vector method to detect the footprints of the high-rise buildings based on the boundaries of the corresponding building roofs and shapes. We also apply the online food delivery (OFD) data to parse the POI name of every building footprint. Several strategies are also developed in combination with the proposed model, including data augmentation and postprocessing. We conduct numerical experiments using real data of remote sensing images and OFD historical order data. Results demonstrate that our proposed model achieves a total F1-score of 77.05% and an intersection over union (IoU) of 63.55% in terms of the building roof segmentation, and an overall F1-score of 79.02% and an IoU of 66.05% for the whole building shape segmentation, which both achieve the best performance among all baseline models. Abstract

This article mainly analyzes and discusses the The current situation of nanchang preschool teachers stress coping styles and how to improve them.It provides theoretical basis and guidance for optimizing preschool teachers' psychological quality and improving their mental health. Therefore, by using the questionnaire of "Preschool Teachers' stress coping style in Nanchang City", 134 teachers in six kindergartens of different levels in Nanchang were sent out, and the SPSS Statistics 17 statistical software was used to carry out t-tests and variance analysis. The results show that work is the most important source of stress for preschool teachers, and there are significant differences in the coping style of preschool teachers in employer, sex, age, teaching age, marriage and educational level. The following optimization strategies are given: (1) preschool teachers learn to self psychological adjustment; (2) strengthening Psychological Health Education courses in Teachers College; (3) paying attention to the development of young kindergarten teachers; (4) Increasing social support.

Abstract

Professional commitment is the positive attitude and behavior of college students to identify their own majors, and pay the corresponding efforts happily. The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of professional commitment and learning efficacy of preschool education undergraduates, and the relationship between them. Method: Taking the method of cluster sampling, 210 undergraduates were selected, the analysis of variance, correlation analysis and regression analysis were used to analyze the survey data. Results show that the overall level of students' professional commitment was not very high, and that the overall learning efficacy of students was in the middle, the result also suggested that professional commitment and learning efficacy were significantly positively correlated, emotional commitment and ideal commitment were predictive variables of learning self-efficacy.

Abstract

The Ag3PO4/Bi2WO6 hierarchical heterostructures were prepared by a combination of hydrothermal technique and in situ precipitation method for the first time. The Ag3PO4/Bi2WO6 hierarchical heterostructures displayed enhanced visible-light photocatalytic activity against phenol. The enhanced photocatalytic activity could be attributed to the effective separation of photogenerated carriers driven by the photoinduced potential difference generated at the Ag3PO4/Bi2WO6 heterojunction interface. Repetitive tests showed that the Ag3PO4/Bi2WO6 hierarchical heterostructures maintained high catalytic activity over several cycles, and it had a better regeneration capability under mild conditions.
