In order to prepare a waterborne epoxy zinc-rich primer with excellent corrosion resistance and sagging resistance,a waterborne epoxy zinc-rich primer was prepared using epoxy resin,waterborne epoxy curing agent and relevant accelerator,zinc powder,organic bentonite,fumed SiO2and polyamide wax.The effects of epoxy resin and waterborne epoxy curing agent accelerator on the corrosion resistance of coating were studied,and the orthogonal test with three factors and three levels was used to analyze the influences of different dosages of organic bentonite,fumed SiO2and polyamide wax on the sagging resistance of the waterborne epoxy zinc-rich primer.Results showed that when E51 epoxy resin was used,the curing agent accelerator was 1%,polyamide wax was 0.8%,organic bentonite was 1.5%,and fumed SiO2was 0.4%,all performance index met the requirements for solvent zinc-rich primer.

Catalytic activation of Caryl‐O bonds is considered as a powerful strategy for the production of aromatics from lignin. However, due to the high reduction potentials of diaryl ether 4‐O‐5 linkage models, their single electron reduction remains a daunting challenge. This study presents the blue light‐induced bifunctional N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC)‐catalyzed one‐electron reduction of diaryl ether 4‐O‐5 linkage models for the synthesis of trivalent phosphines. The H‐bond between the newly devised bifunctional NHC and diaryl ethers is responsible for the success of the single electron transfer. Furthermore, this approach demonstrates selective one‐electron reduction of unsymmetric diaryl ethers, oligomeric phenylene oxide, and lignin model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

X‐ray imaging serves a critical role across diverse sectors, including medical diagnostics, industrial surveillance, security, and space exploration. This study delves into the unique properties of a novel polar crystal, [FMPPA]ZnBr4 (FMPPA = protonated 3‐fluoro‐4‐(4‐methyl‐1‐piperazinyl)aniline), characterized by a 0D metal halide structure. This crystal features [ZnBr4]2− tetrahedra and A‐site organic amine ion [FMPPA]2+ rings. With a high photoluminescence quantum yield (≈70%) and minimal self‐absorption, [FMPPA]ZnBr4 demonstrates exceptional scintillation performance under X‐ray excitation, producing 29300 ± 600 photons MeV−1 and achieving a low detection limit of 0.352 µGyair s−1, surpassing conventional 3D perovskite nanocrystals. Beyond superior performance, this scintillator meets the demand for efficient X‐ray imaging light emitters. Moreover, it consistently achieves ≈12.5 lp mm−1 high‐resolution X‐ray imaging. Additionally, [FMPPA]ZnBr4 exhibits a nonlinear optical response, surpassing the benchmark KH2PO4 by 1.8 times. This investigation introduces a new structure framework, paving the way for the development of integrated optoelectronic materials with both nonlinear and linear optical properties. Alkenes serve as versatile building blocks in organic synthesis. However, the challenge of achieving single‐electron reduction of alkenes persists. In recent years, photocatalysis has emerged as a promising and efficient tool for accomplishing the single‐electron reduction of alkenes. Given the potential benefits that can be derived from photoinduced single‐electron reduction of alkenes, including the development of potent catalytic systems to enable diverse alkene difunctionalization reactions, it is necessary to provide a conceptual understanding of this emerging field. Pnictogen bonding (PnB) has gained recognition as an appealing strategy for constructing novel architectures and unlocking new properties. Within the synthetic community, the development of a straightforward and much simpler protocol for cross‐electrophile C−PIII coupling remains an ongoing challenge with organic halides. In this study, we present a simple strategy for photoinduced PnB‐enabled cross‐electrophile C−PIII couplings using readily available chlorophosphines and organic halides via merging single electron transfer (SET) and halogen atom transfer (XAT) processes. In this photomediated transformation, the PnB formed between chlorophosphines and alkyl amines facilitates the photogeneration of PIII radicals and α‐aminoalkyl radicals through SET. Subsequently, the resulting α‐aminoalkyl radicals activate C−X bonds via XAT, leading to the formation of carbon radicals. This methodology offers operational simplicity and compatibility with both aliphatic and aromatic chlorophosphines and organic halides. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Visible‐light‐induced photoreaction of carboranes is an effective approach to prepare carborane‐containing compounds. While several methods involving boron‐centered carboranyl radicals have been established, those for carbon‐centered carboranyl radicals are underdeveloped, except for the UV‐light‐promoted photohomolysis. Herein, we describe a simple but effective approach to access carbon‐centered carboranyl radicals by photoreduction of carborane phosphonium salts under blue light irradiation without using transition metals and photocatalysts. The utility of the method was demonstrated by successfully preparing a range of carborane‐oxindole‐pharmaceutical hybrids by radical cascade reactions. Computational and experimental studies suggest that the carbon‐centered carboranyl radicals are generated by single‐electron transfer of the photoactive charge‐transfer complexes between the salts and the additive potassium acetate.
