Background: Given the characteristics of the rehabilitation therapy specialty and the drawback of the traditional didactic teaching approach, we developed the innovative teaching approach from the students' perspective using the person–environment–occupation (PEO) model. The new model was developed from the original PEO model to be applied in pedagogical contexts and tailored to the characteristics of an application-oriented specialty, such as rehabilitation therapy. The present study aimed to examine the perceived effectiveness of the PEO innovative teaching model applied to rehabilitation therapy students. Methods: A pre–post descriptive study was conducted to compare the perceived effectiveness of the PEO innovative teaching model for two consecutive student cohorts. A purposive sampling method was used to recruit students from two cohorts of junior medical students majoring in rehabilitation therapy in the spring semesters of 2020 and 2021. A questionnaire was developed to evaluate the perceived effectiveness of the PEO innovative teaching model. SPSS version 26.0 was used to perform data analysis. Results: A total of 112 students were included in the study and completed both pre- and post-tests. Of 112 received questionnaires, 101 were considered as valid questionnaires after the quality check (effective rate 90.18%). In the 2020 and 2021 cohorts, students rated the PEO innovative teaching model significantly higher than the didactic teaching approach in the following aspects: the teaching content is highly professional and valuable; the course is extensively expounded; the clinical reasoning is strengthened; problem-solving ability is developed; communication skills are improved; and teamwork skills are developed. Conclusion: The PEO innovative teaching model was perceived to be an effective teaching strategy to enhance students' academic performance. In this paper, we demonstrated the front NFC card swipe and touch display in TDDI LCD through the technologies shown later. New NFC sampling and noise reduction algorithm was used to reduce the generation of the Ghost Position and Touch Failure. The Time Division Multiplexing was applied to optimize the noise interference when NFC works. Meanwhile, we integrated the NFC antenna in the TDDI LCD, and also added new display signal filter circuit and VCOM driver signal. The objective of this paper was to investigate the effectiveness of retaining walls of backlight units in protecting TFT single‐layer areas through mechanical test simulations conducted on the ANSYS. Two models were constructed: one with retaining walls incorporated into the mold frame of the backlight unit and the other without. Varying levels of force were then applied to the cover glasses of both models. A comparative analysis was conducted on the stress and deformation observed in the TFT single‐layer area of both models. The results indicated that retaining walls exhibited a certain protective effect on the TFT single‐layer area when the cover glass was exposed to external forces. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this study, we investigated the impact of refractive index on the brightness enhancement achieved by brightness enhancement films (BEFs) in Liquid Crystal Display Modules (LCMs). Specifically, as the refractive index of the BEF increased from 1.53 to 1.65, the backlight brightness of the LCM rose by approximately 21%. This increase reduces backlight power consumption, promoting greener and more sustainable technology implementation. Our simulation results further indicate that the brightness gain from the film continues to rise as the refractive index increases to 1.75. However, a further increase in the refractive index to 1.80 or higher leads to a decrease in brightness. Background: It's still controversial whether Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication can reverse atrophic gastritis (AG) and intestinal metaplasia (IM). Therefore, we performed a meta‐analysis to estimate the effect of H. pylori eradication on AG and IM. Methods: We searched the PubMed, Web of Science and EMBASE datasets through April 2023 for epidemiological studies, which provided mean glandular atrophy (GA) or IM score before and after H. pylori eradication, or provided ORs, RRs or HRs and 95% CIs for the association of AG or IM with H. pylori eradication. Weighted mean difference (WMD) and pooled ORs and 95%CIs were used to estimate the effect of H. pylori eradication on AG and IM. Results: Twenty articles with a total of 5242 participants were included in this meta‐analysis. H. pylori eradication significantly decreased GA score in the antrum (WMD −0.36; 95% CI: −0.52, −0.19, p < 0.01), GA score in the corpus (WMD −0.35; 95% CI: −0.52, −0.19, p < 0.01), IM score in the antrum (WMD −0.16; 95% CI: −0.26, −0.07, p < 0.01) and IM score in the corpus (WMD −0.20; 95% CI: −0.37, −0.04, p = 0.01). H. pylori eradication significantly improved AG (pooled OR 2.96; 95% CI: 1.70, 5.14, p < 0.01) and IM (pooled OR 2.41; 95% CI: 1.24, 4.70, p < 0.01). The association remained significant in the subgroup analyses by study design, sites of lesions, regions and follow‐up time. Although Publication bias was observed for AG, the association remained significant after trim‐and‐fill adjustment. Anti‐reflective (AR) films are now widely used in consumer electronic devices. However, due to their properties, conventional methods of reflection reduction are severely limited in practical applications. In recent years, subwavelength artificial microstructures have been used for electromagnetic wave modulation, providing a new idea for the anti‐reflection of electromagnetic waves. We simulated an array of microstructures and selected an anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) template with physical parameters similar to those of the microstructures to prepare reflection‐reducing films. We tested the reflectance spectra of liquid crystal module (LCM) before and after lamination with the anti‐reflective film, and the results show that the reflectance of LCM is relatively reduced by about 60% compared with that of the LCM before the anti‐reflective film is laminated, which enhances the display effect. Due to the intermittency of renewable energies, their acceptances in electricity market are lower than fossil energies. Therefore, it is necessary to overcome the development resistance through portfolio re-equilibrium. Balance supply and demand in markets involving different stakeholders to optimize return on investment. Compared with the past, this paper proposes an integrated optimization with combined meta-heuristic for wind-solar-hydro system. It investigates to coordinate the interactions of power stations and power grid with their internal conflicts respectively. Specifically, the investment profit, the investment volume and the investment risk are considered as the optimized objectives for wind-solar-hydro system. However, power grid takes operation efficiency, surplus electricity and carbon emissions into account to be the optimal objectives. They are composed to establish a bi-level programming model. Moreover, an improved particle swarm optimization is utilized to deal with the problem-orientated model with NP-hard complexity. Finally, to verify the feasibility of the proposed model, a case of wind-solar-hydro system from Panzhihua located in southwest China is conducted. The results showed that portfolio re-equilibrium strategies had the potential to push forward sustainable development. Secondly, generating capacity was positively affected by the initial investment volume. However, the investment profit did not absolutely rise with the grow of investment risk. Thirdly, profit-oriented strategies were conducive to carbon emissions reduction. But risk-oriented strategies can reduce surplus electricity and increase the stability of electricity purchase schemes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Graphs are widely used to present scientific information. Information presented in graphs can be classified into three kinds: explicit information, tacit information, and conclusive information. Reading information from graphs requires not only science content knowledge and understanding but also general logical reasoning. This study examined the abilities of reading various kinds of scientific information among students in different grades in China. The participants were 288 students in grades 9, 10, and 11. An instrument developed by the researchers and teachers was used to measure students' graph reading abilities. Results indicated that: (a) students' abilities of reading the three kinds of scientific information improved with grade; (b) students in different grades showed significant differences in reading all kinds of information except for the topics and special segments of the graphs for explicit information, tacit information requiring using mathematics tools, and conclusive information from comparison; and (c) as a whole, students of the same grade showed variation in their abilities of reading different kinds of information but the patterns of difference among the three kinds of information for the three grades were similar. This study has many implications for science education in China. It may help teachers understand students' thinking approaches to graphs and foster their abilities of interpreting them, and further inform future studies on how to adopt and design graphs in science textbooks.
