The remarkable lateral oscillatory occurrences observed in renowned footbridges, such as the Solferino Bridge in France, the Millennium Bridge in the UK, and the Oda Bridge in Japan, have garnered widespread attention. The intricate nature of pedestrian-induced lateral vibrations necessitates a comprehensive investigation into their underlying mechanisms, with the crux lying in the identification of the lateral excitation model. Presently, most prevailing detection approaches predominantly rely on contact-based equipment, such as force sensors and displacement sensors. However, these approaches suffer from two main drawbacks. Firstly, contact measurement necessitate a substantial number of sensors and entail higher experimental costs. Secondly, when extending contact-based measurements to accommodate multiple individuals, complications arise, including cumbersome installation, heightened technical complexity, and escalated experimental costs. Therefore, we present a novel approach, based on visual technology, to expeditiously recognize the lateral excitation induced by pedestrians. Termed the Dual Perspective of Mediapipe (DPM), this method harnesses the power of Mediapipe, coupled with dual camera models, to precisely unravel pedestrian gait particulars and lateral forces. The efficacy of the proposed approach is validated through a comparative analysis with existing pedestrian gait data. It is noteworthy that this approach offers significant advantages: non-contact with the test pedestrians, thereby ensuring the accuracy of gait information; convenient and straightforward arrangement of measurement equipment; and low experimental costs. Nickel silicide nanowires are promising interconnection and gate materials for one dimensional nanoelectronic devices. In this report, NiSi2 nanowires with low resistivity of 23.5 µΩ cm were prepared by nickel sputtering on silicon nanowires and 550 °C annealing. High resolution transmission microscopy, selective area electron diffraction and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy were used to characterize the structure and composition of NiSi2 nanowires. Four-terminal electrical measurement was used to verify the electrical property of nanowires. Li-rich manganese-based layered cathode Li 1.2 Mn 0.54 Ni 0.13 Co 0.13 O 2 (LMNCO) nanotubes are synthesized by electrospinning and surface coated with different amounts of amorphous Al 2 O 3 . The effects of the coating content of Al 2 O 3 on the structural and electrochemical performances of LMNCO nanotubes are investigated systematically. The results show that the morphologies and structures of the samples exhibit no apparent changes after being coated with Al 2 O 3 . Electrochemical tests indicate that the Al 2 O 3 -coated LMNCO nanotubes exhibit obviously enhanced electrochemical performances. The initial coulombic efficiency of surface modified LMNCO nanotubes increased from 74.9% to 85.2%, and the modified LMNCO nanotubes have a high capacity retention of 97.6% after 90 cycles at 1C. The improved electrochemical performances of the coated samples are attributed to the protective function of the uniform Al 2 O 3 coating and the three-dimensional Li + diffusion channel in the spinel interface layer., Competing Interests: There are no conflicts to declare., (This journal is © The Royal Society of Chemistry.)
