Recycled demolition waste (RDW) and ground granulated blast furnace slag-fly ash-based geopolymer (GFG) are promising materials for treating high-plasticity clay (CH) in highway subgrades. However, the underlying synergistic stabilization mechanisms remain unclear. To elucidate the fundamental mechanisms governing post-treatment soil stabilization, a multi-scale laboratory investigation was undertaken. This investigation encompassed the evaluation of mechanical properties (compaction, California bearing ratio (CBR), and unconfined compressive strength (UCS)) to quantify the enhanced performance of the treated soil. Additionally, microstructural and mineralogical characterization was performed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM) to elucidate the microscopic mechanisms responsible for this improvement. The results indicated that the addition of RDW led to a reduction in the optimum moisture content (OMC) while increasing the maximum dry density (MDD) of CH. Moreover, upon incorporating RDW-GFG, the mechanical properties of the cured soil exhibited significant improvement. Specifically, the addition of 25% RDW to CH resulted in a 184% increase in CBR and effective improvement in water stability (immersion swelling percentage is reduced). Furthermore, when 25% RDW and 15% GFG were added to CH, the UCS has increased significantly by 8 times. The addition of RDW effectively enhanced the particle size distribution, compacted the soil, thus increased the shear strength. The results from XRD and SEM analyses revealed that the inclusion of GFG could generate geopolymer cementitious bonding network in the soil matrix. These materials facilitated bonding between CH particles and RDW, filling the pores and densifying the overall structure, thus increasing its strength. The synergy of RDW-GFG substantially improved the highly plastic soil through physicochemical actions, markedly elevating both its strength and water stability. Consequently, the outcomes of this experimental study offer valuable insights for road engineering applications.

Background Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease has showed a high prevalence and a increasing trend especially towards younger age. It is of great public health significance to reduce damage through early detection of NAFLD in physical examination and intervention in time. Objective To investigate the detection rate of NAFLD in the Beijing physical examination population from 2018 to 2021, and analyze its related influencing factors. Methods People who received physical examinations at the Beijing Physical Examination Center from 2018-01-01 to 2021-12-31 were selected based on the inclusion criteria, the results of physical examination, laboratory examination, and liver ultrasonography were collected for analysis. Univariate analysis was performed using t-test, Mann-Whitney U test and Chi-square test. Multivariate Logistic regression was used to explore the influencing factors of NAFLD. Results A total 325 726 people were included in the study, of which 108 512 cases of NAFLD were detected, with a detection rate of 33.31%. The results of liver ultrasonography revealed that the number of mild, moderate and severe NAFLD detections were 74 062, 33 281 and 1 169 cases, accounting for 68.25%, 30.67% and 1.08% of the detection population, respectively. Aims: This study aims to establish a population pharmacokinetic (PK) model of teicoplanin in Chinese adult patients to evaluate the dosing regimen in the label sheet and optimize it. Methods: Nonlinear mixed‐effects modelling was used to estimate PK parameters. Monte Carlo simulations were used to evaluate the attainment of various dosing regimens in achieving the target trough concentrations in patients with normal or decreased renal function. Results: A total of 115 patients were enrolled in this retrospective study. Creatinine clearance (CrCL) and albumin (ALB) were identified as covariates on the clearance of teicoplanin. For the treatment of non‐complicated methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections in patients with normal renal function and serum ALB concentration, the recommended dosing regimen was 600 mg q12h with five administrations as the loading dose followed by 600 mg qd as the maintenance dose; for the treatment of serious and/or complicated MRSA infections, the recommended dosing regimen was 800 mg q12h with five administrations as the loading dose followed by 800 mg qd as the maintenance dose. It is worth noting that both the loading and maintenance doses ought to be modified based on the patient's renal function and serum ALB concentration. In addition, trough concentrations of teicoplanin were significantly increased every other week. Conclusions: Both loading dosing and maintenance dosing regimens were recommended to be adjusted according to patient's renal function and serum ALB concentration.
