Venous malformations are the most common congenital vascular malformations, and the incidence rate is high. Previous studies have confirmed that a variety of polymorphisms within the miRNA functional region are associated with tumor susceptibility. We examined the correlation between miR‐618 rs2682818 C>A and risk of developing venous malformation in a southern Chinese population (1113 patients and 1158 controls). TaqMan genotyping of miR‐618 rs2682818 C>A was conducted utilizing real‐time fluorescent quantitative PCR. The miR‐618 rs2682818 polymorphism was not correlated with susceptibility to venous malformation (CA/AA vs. CC: adjusted odds ratio [AOR] = 1.00, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.81–1.25, p = 0.994; AA vs. CC/CA: AOR = 1.10, 95% CI = 0.73–1.65, p = 0.646). Stratified analysis of different subtypes of venous malformation revealed that there was no significant difference in the rs2682818 C>A polymorphism genotypes across these subtypes. In the development of organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) with high efficiency and minimal efficiency roll‐off, fast reverse intersystem crossing (RISC) in multi‐resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR‐TADF) materials is critical. The RISC process is typically hindered by insufficient spin‐orbital coupling (SOC). Incorporating heavy atom selenium into the MR‐TADF structure has the potential to enhance SOC through the heavy atom effect. However, the specific placement of selenium within the molecule results in different enhancements of SOC, with the detailed interplay between these factors yet to be elucidated. The introduction of a selenium‐containing moiety, phenoxaselenine, into the MR‐TADF structure at different substituted positions is undertaken, revealing that the molecule with 3‐substituted phenoxaselenine exhibits faster RISC transition and a significant increase in SOC between higher triplet excited states and S1 state, compared to the molecule with 2‐substituted phenoxaselenine. Significantly reduced efficiency roll‐off is achieved for the narrow‐band emission OLEDs based on the molecule with 3‐substituted phenoxaselenine owing to the enhanced heavy atom effect, giving an impressive external quantum efficiency above 20% even under 10 000 cd m−2 in the corresponding OLED device. In purely organic room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials, fluorescence radiative transitions generally compete against inter‐system crossing (ISC) transitions to give fluorescence/phosphorescence dual emission. In order to achieve pure phosphorescence in RTP organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs), extended π‐conjugation is introduced into Se‐containing donors to suppress the fluorescence radiative transitions by the symmetry excited state orbitals in the introduced π–π* transitions that cancel the overlap of the orbitals, and two novel nonaromatic amine donor containing orange RTP emitters namely 2‐(benzo[c]phenoxaselenin‐10‐yl)‐4,6‐diphenyl‐1,3,5‐triazine (BPXSeDRZ) and 2‐(dibenzo[a,c]phenoxaselenin‐11‐yl)‐4,6‐diphenyl‐1,3,5‐triazine (DBPXSeDRZ) are developed, both of which exhibit efficient orange pure phosphorescence in doped films thanks to the sufficient ISC transitions. As a result, high external quantum efficiencies of 17.2% and 17.9% are respectively achieved for the orange RTP‐OLEDs based on BPXSeDRZ and DBPXSeDRZ for the first time, and they also exhibit stable pure electro‐phosphorescence spectra in a wide driving voltage. Moreover, by adopting DBPXSeDRZ as a sensitizer to harvest the triplet excitons and tetraphenyldibenzoperiflanthene as a conventional fluorescent emitter, the external quantum efficiency of the sensitized red fluorescent OLED can be elevated to 10.1%, which greatly expands the potential applications of the metal‐free phosphors in OLEDs. Controlled synthesis of lead‐halide perovskite crystals is challenging yet attractive because of the pivotal role played by the crystal structure and growth conditions in regulating their properties. This study introduces data‐driven strategies for the controlled synthesis of oriented quasi‐spherical CsPbBr3, alongside an investigation into the synthesis mechanism. High‐throughput rapid characterization of absorption spectra and color under ultraviolet illumination was conducted using 23 possible ligands for the synthesis of CsPbBr3 crystals. The links between the absorption spectra slope (difference in the absorbance at 400 nm and 450 nm divided by a wavelength interval of 50 nm) and crystal size were determined through statistical analysis of more than 100 related publications. Big data analysis and machine learning were employed to investigate a total of 688 absorption spectra and 652 color values, revealing correlations between synthesis parameters and properties. Ex situ characterization confirmed successful synthesis of oriented quasi‐spherical CsPbBr3 perovskites using polyvinylpyrrolidone and Acacia. Density functional theory calculations highlighted strong adsorption of Acacia on the (110) facet of CsPbBr3. Optical properties of the oriented quasi‐spherical perovskites prepared with these data‐driven strategies were significantly improved. Element tuning of targeted materials and obtaining the optimal synthesis recipe are major goals for many material scientists. However, this is often limited by conventional trial‐and‐error procedures, which are time‐consuming and labor‐intensive. In this work, fine element tuning of halide double perovskite Cs2NaxAg1‐xInyBi1‐yCl6 is conducted by performing a data‐driven investigation combining high‐throughput experiments with machine learning (ML). A positive correlation between the more accessible R value in emission RGB values (the intensities of the red/green/blue primary colors) and photoluminescence intensity is revealed, and over a thousand R values of the Cs2NaxAg1‐xInyBi1‐yCl6 crystals synthesized with different additives and element compositions are collected. More importantly, the volume ratios of Na+/Ag+ (VNa: VAg) and Bi3+/In3+ (VBi: VIn) with the corresponding R values are correlated through ML, and the synergistic regulation of the two ion pairs is revealed. A possible correlation between R and XRD is also proposed. Finally, different emission intensities of LED beads coated with Cs2NaxAg1‐xInyBi1‐yCl6 synthesized using parameters obtained from ML are demonstrated, and an emission enhancement of ≈50 times is observed between the brightest and dimmest LEDs. This work illustrates that data‐driven investigation helps guide material synthesis and will significantly reduce the workload for developing novel materials, especially for complex compositions. Background: Statins are routinely prescribed to lower cholesterol and have been demonstrated to have significant benefits in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. However, whether statin therapy has effects on cancer risk remains controversial. In this study, we investigated the influence of statin therapy on cancer incidence and mortality by conducting a comprehensive meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials. Methods: Systematic searches by Cochrane, Embase, Medline, and PubMed were performed to locate data from eligible randomized controlled trials related to statin therapy and oncology. Our main endpoints were cancer incidence and mortality. Fixed-effects models were used in this study. Results: This meta-analysis comprised thirty-five randomized controlled studies. Twenty-eight included studies reported cancer incidence, and eighteen reported cancer mortality. The pooled results indicated no reduction in cancer incidence with statins compared to placebo [OR = 0.99, 95% CI (0.95, 1.03)]. In addition, statins did not decrease cancer mortality [OR = 0.99, 95% CI (0.91, 1.07)]. This study also performed a number of subgroup analyses, which showed no effect of statins on cancer subtypes such as genitourinary and breast cancer. Neither the type of statin nor long-term treatment with statins had an effect on cancer incidence and mortality. Conclusion: Through comprehensive analysis, we found that statin therapy does not reduce cancer incidence or mortality while protecting the cardiovascular system. However, the harsh synthetic routes for polychlorinated compounds and the possible luminescence quenching from the compact intermolecular π–π stacking induced by chlorine atoms limit their investigations and applications in luminescent materials. Herein, two isomeric polychlorinated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) compounds JY‐1‐Cl and JY‐2‐Cl consisting of rigidified aryl ketones and amine are designed and synthesized under mild conditions through nucleophilic chlorination intermediated by an electron donor‐acceptor complex. Among them, as a result of the strong π–π interactions induced by chlorine atoms, JY‐2‐Cl exhibits bright monomer and dimer emissions with dual thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) characters. Notably, compared with the non‐chlorinated compounds, a high photoluminescence quantum yield is maintained after introducing multiple chlorine atoms into JY‐2‐Cl. The first dual‐TADF organic light‐emitting diodes are also successfully fabricated with maximum external quantum efficiency as high as 29.1 % by employing JY‐2‐Cl as emitter. Purely organic room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials generally exhibit low phosphorescence quantum yield (ϕP) and long phosphorescence lifetime (τP) due to the theoretically spin‐forbidden triplet state. Herein, by introducing a donor–acceptor (D–A) skeleton with a phenoxaselenine donor, three nonaromatic amine donor containing compounds with high ϕP and short τP in amorphous films are developed. Besides the enhanced spin–orbit coupling (SOC) by the heavy‐atom effect of selenium, the D–A skeleton which facilitates orbital angular momentum change can further boost SOC, and severe nonradiative energy dissipation is also suppressed by the rigid molecular structure. Consequently, a record‐high external quantum efficiency of 19.5% are achieved for the RTP organic light‐emitting diode (OLED) based on 2‐(phenoxaselenin‐3‐yl)‐4,6‐diphenyl‐1,3,5‐triazine (PXSeDRZ). Moreover, voltage‐dependent color‐tunable emission and single‐molecule white emission are also realized. These results shed light on the broad prospects of purely organic phosphorescence materials as highly efficient OLED emitters especially for potential charming lighting applications. In this work, Ce, Zr, and Al are used to promote Y2O3 as supports for Ni/NiO, with the expectation to obtain more efficient catalysts for DRM reaction. XRD and Raman results have testified that all the three cations have been doped into the lattice of Y2O3 to form a solid solution structure, thus obtaining supports with decreased crystallinity and improved surface areas. As a result, all the modified catalysts display evidently improved reaction performance. The Ni–support interaction of the modified catalysts is enhanced in comparison with the unmodified catalyst, thus having improved Ni dispersion. Moreover, the modified catalysts have improved alkalinity, which is beneficial to activate CO2 and enhance the activity. In addition, it is found that all the modified catalysts possess a richer amount of surface active oxygen species (O2δ− and O2−), which is critical to eliminate carbon depositions. It is believed that the interaction of these factors is responsible for the enhanced DRM performance of the modified catalysts. In situ DRIFTS results have confirmed that the addition of the secondary metals can improve the DRM activity of the catalyst by accelerating the conversion of formate intermediate species. Chirality is a magical property that exists in nature universally, ranging from the spin of microscopic electrons to the galaxies. Furthermore, circularly polarized organic electroluminescent materials have promising prospects in improving the brightness of displays, but there are still some problems. At present, most of chiral thermally activated delayed fluorescence small molecules show relatively low circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) dissymmetry factors between 10−4 and 10−3 because of the electric dipole‐allowed but magnetic dipole‐forbidden transition of the singlet state. In this work, a promising strategy is reported for constructing chiral exciplex systems with a chiral electron acceptor and a regular achiral donor to achieve high CPL dissymmetry factors in both photoluminescence and electroluminescence. From theoretical calculation results, the exciplex systems possess a large separation of the highest occupied molecular orbital and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital in donor and acceptor molecules, respectively, which results in comparable electric and magnetic transition dipole moments. The resultant CPL organic light‐emitting diodes based on the exciplex systems as emitters show low turn‐on voltage of 2.4 V, high external quantum efficiencies of 12.7% and 9.3%, and opposite circularly polarized electroluminescence with high dissymmetry factors (gEL) of +7.25 × 10−3 and −9.89 × 10−3. • Large-area Au nanohole arrays are combined with in-situ synthesized ZIF-8 layers. • The ZIF-8 layers support leaky waveguide modes that helps to enhance the sensitivity. • The Au nanohole@ZIF-8 sensor shows high sensitivity, fast response and excellent selectivity towards ethanol vapor. Plasmonic sensors show great potential for their compactness, high sensitivity and versatile sensing capabilities. They often consist of optical nanoantennas and functional sensing materials. The design and fabrication of these sensors are thus becoming critically important to achieve better sensing performance. Here we demonstrate a hybrid plasmonic sensor composed of gold nanohole arrays and in-situ synthesized multifunctional zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-8) layers. Mode coupling between the plasmon modes of the nanoholes and the waveguide modes in the ZIF-8 layers leads to narrow-band hybrid modes that are highly sensitive to the presence of ethanol vapor. A sensitivity of 50.1 pm/ppm is achieved in a concentration range of 455 to 1543 ppm. Ethanol vapor as low as 47 ppm was experimentally detected and the determined limit of detection of sensor is 11.8 ppm. The proposed sensor with its cost-effective fabrication and high performance provides a promising and competitive solution for low-cost, highly sensitive and real-time detection of volatile organic compounds in a variety of practical applications. Petroleum refinery wastewater (PRWW) that contains recalcitrant components as the major portion of constituents is difficult to treat by conventional biological processes. An effective and economical biological treatment process was established to treat industrial PRWW with an influent COD of over 2500 mg L−1 in this research. This process is mainly composed of internal circulation biological aerated filter (ICBAF), hydrolysis acidfication (HA), two anaerobic–aerobic (A/O) units, a membrane biological reactor (MBR), and ozone-activated carbon (O3-AC) units. The results showed that, overall, this system removed over 94% of the COD, BOD5, ammonia nitrogen (NH4+-N) and phosphorus in the influent, with the ICBAF unit accounting for 54.6% of COD removal and 83.6% of BOD5 removal, and the two A/O units accounting for 33.3% of COD removal and 9.4% of BOD5 removal. The degradation processes of eight organic pollutants and their removal via treatment were also analyzed. Furthermore, 26 bacteria were identified in this system, with Proteobacteria and Acidobacteria being the most dominant. CeO2 has high elastic modulus and thermal stability, as well as good surface effects, making it ideal as a reinforcement for aluminum matrix composites. In this paper, the interfacial relationships between Al and CeO2 was studied by first-principles calculation, and the nucleation mechanism of aluminum matrix growth on CeO2 substrate was discussed. First, the Al/CeO2 interface matching crystal surface was identified as the Al(111)/CeO2(111) interface. Then, the surface work function was calculated for all surfaces constituting the Al(111)/CeO2(111) interface, and the results showed that the Al(111) loses charge more easily than CeO2(111). Subsequently, the interface energy and work of adhesion of the Al(111)/CeO2(111) interface were calculated, and the results showed that the interface energy of O1–Al was the smallest (0.07 J/m2), the work of adhesion of O2 interface energy of O1–Al was the smallest (0.07 J/m2), the work of adhesion of O2–Al was the largest (9.36 J/m2)Al was the largest (9.36 J/m2). Finally, the combined properties of the Al(111)/CeO2(111) interface were analyzed by the electronic properties at the interface, and the results showed that The Al(111)/CeO2(111) interface is a mixture of ionic and covalent bonds. Therefore, the calculated results confirm that the effectiveness of CeO2 as a heterogeneous nucleation substrate for Al. Lung cancer (LC) is the leading cause of cancer-associated deaths worldwide, among which non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for 80%. Stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1) inhibition results in a significant depletion of NSCLC metastasis. Additionally, SDF-1 is the only natural chemokine known to bind and activate the receptor CXCR4. Thus, we attempted to clarify the molecular mechanism of SDF-1 underlying NSCLC progression. Transwell migration, adhesion, and G-LISA assays were used to assess megakaryocytic chemotaxis in vitro and in vivo in terms of megakaryocytic migration, adherence, and RhoA activation, respectively. Western blotting was used to assess PI3K/Akt-associated protein abundances in MEG-01 cells and primary megakaryocytes under the indicated treatment. A hematology analyzer and flow cytometry were used to assess platelet counts in peripheral blood and newly formed platelet counts in Lewis LC mice under different treatments. Immunochemistry and flow cytometry were used to measure CD41+ megakaryocyte numbers in Lewis LC mouse tissue under different treatments. ELISA was used to measure serum TPO levels, and H&E staining was used to detect NSCLC metastasis. SDF-1 receptor knockdown suppressed megakaryocytic chemotaxis in Lewis LC mice. SDF-1 receptor inhibition suppressed megakaryocytic chemotaxis via the PI3K/Akt pathway. SDF-1 receptor knockdown suppressed CD41+ megakaryocyte numbers in vivo through PI3K/Akt signaling. SDF-1 receptor inhibition suppressed CD41+ megakaryocytes to hinder NSCLC metastasis. SDF-1 facilitates NSCLC metastasis by enhancing the chemoattraction of megakaryocytes via the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, which may provide a potential new direction for seeking therapeutic plans for NSCLC. Background: Neurotrophic tropomyosin receptor kinases (NTRKs) are a gene family function as oncogene or tumor suppressor gene in distinct cancers. We aimed to investigate the methylation and expression profiles and prognostic value of NTRKs gene in colorectal cancer (CRC).Methods: An analysis of DNA methylation and expression profiles in CRC patients was performed to explore the critical methylations within NTRKs genes. The methylation marker was validated in a retrospectively collected cohort of 229 CRC patients and tested in other tumor types from TCGA. DNA methylation status was determined by quantitative methylation-specific PCR (QMSP).Results: The profiles in six CRC cohorts showed that NTRKs gene promoter was more frequently methylated in CRC compared to normal mucosa, which was associated with suppressed gene expression. We identified a specific methylated region within NTRK3 promoter targeted by cg27034819 and cg11525479 that best predicted survival outcome in CRC. NTRK3 promoter methylation showed independently predictive value for survival outcome in the validation cohort (P = 0.004, HR 2.688, 95% CI [1.355, 5.333]). Based on this, a nomogram predicting survival outcome was developed with a C-index of 0.705. Furthermore, the addition of NTRK3 promoter methylation improved the performance of currently-used prognostic model (AIC: 516.49 vs 513.91; LR: 39.06 vs 43.64, P = 0.032). Finally, NTRK3 promoter methylation also predicted survival in other tumors, including pancreatic cancer, glioblastoma and stomach adenocarcinoma.Conclusions: This study highlights the essential value of NTRK3 methylation in prognostic evaluation and the potential to improve current prognostic models in CRC and other tumors. Flexible polyurethane foams (FPU) are widely used in heat insulation but pose fire risks due to their flammability. In this study, we specifically introduce a novel flame-retardant coating for FPU based on MXene-encased aramid fibers (ANF@MXene). This coaxial cable structure, with MXene nanosheets "bridging" on the PDA modified ANF surface, is applied to FPU using an impregnation method. The hollow tubular MXene structures formed during pyrolysis and combustion enhance fire safety by promoting the generation of a graphitic carbon layer to some extent. Through dip-coating of ANF@MXene onto the surface of FPU, we observed a significant improvement in flame retardancy and smoke suppression of composite FPU. This method presents a promising strategy for fabricating highly fire-safe FPU, paving the way for advanced fire protection solutions across various industries. Automatic facial expression recognition (FER) plays a crucial role in realizing the adaptable and individualized tutoring in affective computer-based learning environment. Although many research efforts have been conducted to enhance a greater understanding of FER, a successful accurate recognition of the spontaneous facial expressions in real e-learning environment is still challenging due to its low change in intensity and short duration. In this paper, we propose a new dual-modality spatiotemporal feature representation learning for recognizing facial expression in e-learning using the hybrid deep neural network. Except facial expression class information, representative expression states (e.g., onset, apex, offset of expressions) are utilized for expression recognition in our study. Spatiotemporal geometrical feature representations and spatial-temporal appearance feature representations are learned with a hybrid deep neural network. The dual-modality feature fusion representations are used to recognize facial expressions. The comprehensive experiments have been conducted on two spontaneous micro-expression datasets ( CAS(ME) 2 and CASME II). The experimental results showed that the proposed method achieved higher recognition accuracy compared to the state-of-the-art methods. Melatonin (MT) is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland which regulates sleep rhythm and is widely used in health foods. However, MT is sometimes added illegally and excessively in certain health foods, which might cause undesirable side-effects. In this work, an easy-to-use immunochromatographic assay (ICA) based on mouse monoclonal antibody (mAb) for rapid detection of MT was developed for the purpose of safety. Under the optimal conditions, the developed ICA exhibited a visual limit of detection (VLOD) of 10,000 ng/mL and a LOD of 50 ng/mL (strip reader) with the linear range from 50 ng/mL to 5000 ng/mL. Good correlation was obtained between the results of ICA and standard liquid chromatography (LC) in matrix test and blind samples test. Herein, synthesis and biological evaluation of fourteen moxifloxacin-acetyl-1,2,3-1 H -triazole-methylene-isatin hybrids as potential anti-tubercular agents against both drug-susceptible (MTB H 37 Rv), rifampicin-resistant and multidrug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains were reported, and cytotoxicity towards VERO cells as well as inhibitory activity against MTB DNA gyrase were also discussed in this paper. Sulfone group plays a pivotal role in narrowing emission spectra, while, precise modification with sulfone group for carbonyl‐based narrowband emitters that maintain high color purity remains challenging. Herein, a comprehensive exploration of the function of the sulfone group is performed with various sulfur valences and positions fused into traditional carbonyl‐based narrowband emission unit QAO, namely SpiroS‐QAO, SpiroSO2‐QAO, SpiroO‐QAO, and SpiroOSO2‐QAO. A rigid molecular skeleton with a spiro structure as an intramolecular lock enables the four emitters to exhibit narrowband emissions. After full oxidization of sulfur, the emission band of SpiroSO2‐QAO is further narrowed, with full width at half maximum of 32 nm, compared to that of 43 nm for sulfane‐decorated SpiroS‐QAO, which is attributed to the suppressed C─S bond‐length variation by the introduction of sulfone group. Nearly identical spectra of SpiroO‐QAO and SpiroOSO2‐QAO suggest that the sulfone group should be directly linked to the emission core to maximize its function. Maximum external quantum efficiencies of 30.8%, 30.3%, and 29.2% are achieved for SpiroO‐QAO, SpiroOSO2‐QAO, and SpiroS‐QAO‐based sensitized organic light‐emitting diodes with highly efficient thermally activated delayed fluorescence assistant host. A series of novel benzofuran-isatin hybrids 6a–m tethered through different length alkyl linkers propylene, butylene, pentylene and hexylene were designed, synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro anti-mycobacterial activities against both drug-susceptible and multi-drug resistant (MDR) Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) and cytotoxicity towards VERO cells. All hybrids with acceptable cytotoxicity in VERO cells (CC 50 : 64 to >1024 μg/mL) also exhibited considerable anti-mycobacterial activities against both drug-susceptible and MDR-MTB strains with MIC in a range of 0.125–4 μg/mL. The SAR indicated that the length of the linker played a pivotal role on the activity, and the longer linker could enhance the activity. The most active hybrid 6d (MIC: 0.125 and 0.125 μg/mL) was comparable to or better than rifampicin (MIC: 0.5 μg/mL) and isoniazid (MIC: 0.06 μg/mL) against MTB H 37 Rv, and was ≥256 folds more potent than rifampicin (MIC: 64 μg/mL) and isoniazid (MIC: >128 μg/mL) against MDR-MTB strain, but was less active than TAM16 (MIC: <0.06 μg/mL against the tested two strains). Immunoassay direct for 3-amino-5-morpholinomethyl-2-oxazolidone (AMOZ), the metabolite of furaltadone, based on a specific antibody was usually unavailable due to its small molecule weight. In this work, a hapten with a double bond and an active carboxyl group was designed and then conjugated to peptide dendrimer to obtain novel multiple haptens. The haptens and multiple haptens were coupled to bovine serum albumin as immunogens. Polyclonal antibodies showed binding to free AMOZ in a heterologous competitive indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were obtained. The assay showed IC50 (half maximal inhibitory concentration) of 4.1 μg/kg and limit of detection of 0.2 μg/kg for AMOZ. Recoveries of AMOZ from grass carp were tested from 83.1% to 117.0%, with the coefficient of variation below 12%. Abstract Herein we report the design and synthesis of a series of novel benzofuran-isatin hybrids, and in vitro evaluation of their anti-mycobacterial activity against both drug-susceptible and multi-drug resistant (MDR) Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) strains. Herein, an automated robotic platform is described for high-throughput and controllable synthesis of colloidal silver nanocrystals (Ag NCs) and sensitive/selective colorimetric determination of Hg2+ in aqueous solutions. The predicted models of optical simulation are constructed as data-driven models to evaluate the quality of Ag NCs synthesized by a wet-chemical method. Based on an experimental database derived by optical characterization, the machine-learning (ML) model which covers multiple synthesis parameters is established for uniform synthesis of Ag NCs with controllable sizes matching the classical growth model. Moreover, the database of more than 1,200 valid samples established for the optical properties of Ag NCs is digitized to correlate with their average size. Optimized manual re-synthesis of high-quality Ag NCs demonstrates the practical feasibility and scalability of established models. The prepared Ag NCs can be used directly or modified with polymer ligands for quantitative detection of Hg2+ in the linear range from 0.01 to 200 µM with a detection limit of 3 nM. • The effects of influent substrate fluctuations on anammox were investigated. • Week-fluctuant fed increased nitrogen removal and system robustness. • N-cycle species showed differential responses to influent fluctuations. • Diverse growth and metabolic strategies were selected in NLR fluctuation with different frequencies. Adaptation to substrate fluctuations is a life actuality of microbes in global municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Yet there remains a lack of definite information on how influent changes with different alternation frequencies shape the stability of anammox consortia and the metabolic regulations they feedback. According to human rhythmic activity, day-fluctuant fed (every 6 h, alternating between 50 and 100 mg NH 4 +-N/L) substantially diminished the robustness of nitrogen removal efficiency (NRE; 84.1 ± 7.0%, left-skewed distribution [ R 2 = 0.87]) and shock-resistance ability (>30% effluent variability). Unexpectedly, the anammox ecosystem under week-fluctuant mode (every 6 d) displayed adapted growth (NRE 86.6 ± 3.1%, normal distribution [ R 2 = 0.97]), higher extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) yields, and superior tolerance (juggling the shortest recovery time and highest NRE, tightest protein secondary structure facing long-term load shocks) than steady-state (75 mg NH 4 +-N/L). 16S sequencing showed that the influent disturbance led to increased levels of bacterial diversity, however, a similar microbiota composition between week-fluctuant and steady systems was detected. Notably, K strategist Candidatus Kuenenia was more sensitive to substrate fluctuations, with the lower relative abundance at day-fluctuant (23.4 ± 5.1%) and week-fluctuant (39.5 ± 4.3%) than at steady-state community (47.5 ± 4.2%). Conversely, Candidatus Jettenia had higher relative abundance at day-fluctuant (i.e., 1.3 ± 0.1%) compared to that at week-fluctuant (0.2 ± 0.04%) and steady-state (0.05 ± 0.03%). Importantly, untargeted metabolomics revealed that week-fluctuant grown anammox microbiota increased protein synthesis and transporter expression while decreasing expression of catabolic pathways (citric acid cycle and bypass) as a strategy for efficient substrate uptake and utilization, which clearly different to day-fluctuant and steady-state survival ways. In this study, a microwave-ultrasonic assisted countercurrent-flow micro-channel reactor (CFMCR M-U) method was designed to prepare KMnF 3 perovskite fluoride as supercapacitor electrode material through a co-precipitation process, in which multiple parameters were precisely controlled and their effects on the material synthesis were investigated. Benefited from the excellent micromixing efficiency of both the microwave-ultrasonic assistance and the microreactor, the KMnF 3 particles prepared by the CFMCR M-U method were much smaller (∼120 nm) with a more uniform particle size distribution and less aggregated than those produced without the assistance of microwave-ultrasonic, leading to a more superior electrochemical performance. The KMnF 3 synthesized under the optimal CFMCR M-U conditions had an initial specific capacity of 406.00 C·g−1 at a current density of 1 A·g−1. After 2500 charge-discharge cycles at a current density of 5 A·g−1, the KMnF 3 particles had a retention rate of 92.21% of the initial specific capacity. For KMnF 3 //AC (active carbon) asymmetric supercapacitor, 123.9% of the initial specific capacitance remained after 5000 charge-discharge cycles. Autophagy is an intrinsic cellular process that can degrade cytoplasmic components. It has been reported that several pathogens hijack this process to facilitate their replication. Coxsackievirus B3 (CVB3), a member of the family Picornaviridae, induces autophagy upon infection. However, the details of CVB3-induced autophagy remain a subject of debate. This study applied a combination of multiple assays for the measurement of autophagy and demonstrated that CVB3 induces a complete autophagic flux. Experiments with infected HEK293A cells revealed that autophagosomes were induced upon CVB3 infection. Most of these autophagosomes were mCherry positive in mCherry-GFP-LC3 cells. Conversely, mCherry-positive autophagosomes were rescued to green positive when treated with the acidification inhibitors chloroquine (CQ) and bafilomycin A1 (BAF), suggesting that autophagosomes fused with late endosomes or lysosomes. The co-localization of LC3-positive puncta with lysosome-associated membrane protein 1 (LAMP1) or LysoTracker confirmed that the autophagosomes fused primarily with lysosomes. Interestingly, the disruption of autophagosome formation by 3-methyladenine (3-MA) or ATG5 siRNA treatment during viral infection significantly decreased CVB3 replication. However, inhibitors of lysosomal acidification, fusion, or degradation did not affect viral replication. Therefore, autolysosomes may not be critical for viral replication in vitro. Transcatheter medical micro-devices through circulatory system show great potential for therapy but lack strategies to stably anchor them at the desired site in vascularized tissues to take actions. Here a shape memory functionalized biodegradable magnetic micro-anchor (SM2A) is developed to achieve magnetic guided endovascular localization through precisely controlled shape transformation. The SM2A comprises anisotropic polylactide-based microparticle embedded with superparamagnetic Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles, exhibiting thermally activated tunable shape recovery modes at a body-friendly temperature range to accomplished an efficient endovascular anchoring effect in both decellularized liver organ and rabbit ear embolization models. Cross-domain decision-making systems are suffering a huge challenge with the rapidly emerging uneven quality of user-generated data, which poses a heavy responsibility to online platforms. Current content analysis methods primarily concentrate on non-textual contents, such as images and videos themselves, while ignoring the interrelationship between each user post's contents. In this paper, we propose a novel framework named community-aware dynamic heterogeneous graph embedding (CDHNE) for relationship assessment, capable of mining heterogeneous information, latent community structure and dynamic characteristics from user-generated contents (UGC), which aims to solve complex non-euclidean structured problems. Specifically, we introduce the Markov-chain-based metapath to extract heterogeneous contents and semantics in UGC. A edge-centric attention mechanism is elaborated for localized feature aggregation. Thereafter, we obtain the node representations from micro perspective and apply it to the discovery of global structure by a clustering technique. In order to uncover the temporal evolutionary patterns, we devise an encoder–decoder structure, containing multiple recurrent memory units, which helps to capture the dynamics for relation assessment efficiently and effectively. Extensive experiments on four real-world datasets are conducted in this work, which demonstrate that CDHNE outperforms other baselines due to the comprehensive node representation, while also exhibiting the superiority of CDHNE in relation assessment. In this paper, the adhesion properties of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)/carbon fiber composites in a thermal vacuum environment were obtained by a self-made adhesion test platform. Ladybird-biomimetic PDMS/carbon fiber lamellar composite imitated the gradient stiffness structure of ladybird setae. The influences on the adhesive material properties were investigated, including the mass-ratio of base and curing-agent, ambient pressure and temperature. The results showed that when the mass-ratio of base and curing-agent of the upper PDMS layer was set to 30, the normal average adhesion could reach 3.8 N cm−2 and 5.4 N cm−2 under vacuum and atmospheric pressure respectively, and the material had better surface adaptability. Due to negative pressure, the normal adhesion under atmospheric pressure was generally better than that in a vacuum. Both in atmospheric and vacuum environments, the normal adhesion remained basically around the initial value after more than 260 cyclic tests. High temperature reduced the adhesion properties of the materials. Combined with thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) results and the material compliance data, the reasons for the adhesive properties changing were given. The high confinement of surface plasmon polaritons in graphene nanostructures at infrared frequencies can enhance the light-matter interactions, which open up intriguing possibilities for the sensing. Strain sensors have attracted much attention due to their unique electromechanical properties. In this paper, a surface plasmon resonance based graphene strain sensor is presented. The considered sensing platform consists of arrays of graphene ribbons placed on a flexible substrate which enables efficient coupling of an electromagnetic field into localized surface plasmons. When the strain stretching is applied to the configuration, the localized surface plasmon resonance frequency sensitively shift. The strain is then detected by measuring the frequency shifts of the localized plasmon resonances. This provides a new optical method for graphene strain sensing. Our results show that the tensile direction is the key parameter for strain sensing. Besides, the sensitivity and the figure of merit were calculated to evaluate the performance of the proposed sensor. In this study, we explored the function and potential mechanisms of intercellular adhesion molecule 2 (ICAM2) in the development and advancement of GC. Methods: Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and Western blotting were performed to quantify ICAM2 expression in harvested GC tissues and cultured cell lines. Immunohistochemical analyses were conducted on a GC tissue microarray to quantify ICAM2 expression and explore its implication on the prognosis of GC patients. In vitro experiments were carried out to reveal the biological functions of ICAM2 in GC cell lines. Further, in vivo experiments were conducted using xenograft models to assess the impact of ICAM2 on GC development and metastasis. Western blot, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, luciferase assay, chromatin immunoprecipitation, and ubiquitination analysis were employed to investigate the underlying mechanisms. Results: ICAM2 expression was downregulated in GC, positively correlating with advanced T stage, distant metastasis, advanced clinical stage, vessel invasion, and shorter patient survival time. ICAM2 overexpression suppressed the proliferation, migration, invasion, metastasis of GC cells as well as their ability to form tumors, whereas ICAM2 knockdown yielded opposite results. Erythroblast transformation-specific-related gene (ERG) as a transcription factor promoted the transcription of ICAM2 by binding to the crucial response element localized within its promoter region. Further analysis revealed that ICAM2 reduced radixin (RDX) protein stability and expression. In these cells, ICAM2 bound to the RDX protein to promote the ubiquitination and degradation of RDX via NEDD4 Like E3 Ubiquitin Protein Ligase (NEDD4L), and this post-translational modification resulted in the inhibition of GC. Conclusions: In summary, this study demonstrates that ICAM2, which is induced by ERG, suppresses GC progression by enhancing the ubiquitination and degradation of RDX in a NEDD4L-dependent manner. Complex networks are graph-based structures with non-trivial topological features that frequently occur in real systems. Link prediction plays an important role in various real-world networks application, such as recommendation systems, protein structure prediction, packet forwarding strategy optimization, etc. The existing link prediction approaches mainly focus on superficial heuristic features, while ignoring high-order structure information. In this paper, we propose a deep-learning based model, named Weisfeiler–Lehman Simplex Neural Network (WL-SNN), which can learn the high-order simplex information of the network. In particular, we design a third-order Laplace operator to extract the simplicial features and utilize the graph convolutional network to compensate for the possible deficiencies of the model resulting from the single-channel features. Furthermore, we use the Weisfeiler–Lehman algorithm to extract closed subgraphs of the target, which significantly enhances the adaptability of the model to large-scale networks. Background: Ladinin-1 (LAD1), an anchoring filament protein, has been associated with several cancer types, including cancers of the colon, lungs, and breast. However, it is still unclear how and why LAD1 causes gastric cancer (GC). Methods: Multiple in vitro and in vivo, functional gains and loss experiments were carried out in the current study to confirm the function of LAD1. Mass spectrometry was used to find the proteins that interact with LAD1. Immunoprecipitation analyses revealed the mechanism of LAD1 involved in promoting aggressiveness. Results: The results revealed that the LAD1 was overexpressed in GC tissues, and participants with increased LAD1 expression exhibited poorer disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS). Functionally, LAD1 promotes cellular invasion, migration, proliferation, and chemoresistance in vivo and in vitro in the subcutaneous patient-and cell-derived xenograft (PDX and CDX) tumor models. Mechanistically, LAD1 competitively bound to Vimentin, preventing it from interacting with the E3 ubiquitin ligase macrophage erythroblast attacher (MAEA), which led to a reduction in K48-linked ubiquitination of Vimentin and an increase in Vimentin protein levels in GC cells. Conclusions: In conclusion, the current investigation indicated that LAD1 has been predicted as a possible prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for GC due to its ability to suppress Vimentin–MAEA interaction. Primary liver cancer, with the predominant form as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), remains a worldwide health problem due to its aggressive and lethal nature. Transarterial chemoembolization, the first‐line treatment option of unresectable HCC that employs drug‐loaded embolic agents to occlude tumor‐feeding arteries and concomitantly delivers chemotherapeutic drugs into the tumor, is still under fierce debate in terms of the treatment parameters. The models that can produce in‐depth knowledge of the overall intratumoral drug release behavior are lacking. This study engineers a 3D tumor‐mimicking drug release model, which successfully overcomes the substantial limitations of conventional in vitro models through utilizing decellularized liver organ as a drug‐testing platform that uniquely incorporates three key features, i.e., complex vasculature systems, drug‐diffusible electronegative extracellular matrix, and controlled drug depletion. This drug release model combining with deep learning‐based computational analyses for the first time permits quantitative evaluation of all important parameters associated with locoregional drug release, including endovascular embolization distribution, intravascular drug retention, and extravascular drug diffusion, and establishes long‐term in vitro–in vivo correlations with in‐human results up to 80 d. This model offers a versatile platform incorporating both tumor‐specific drug diffusion and elimination settings for quantitative evaluation of spatiotemporal drug release kinetics within solid tumors. Herein, five emitters with different sulfur valence state and molecular rigidity, namely tP, tCPD, 2tCPD, tPD and tPT, are thoroughly analysed. With restricted twisting of flexible peripheral phenyl by strengthening molecular rigidity, molecular emission spectra can be enormously narrowed. Background: A disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs 10 (ADAMTS10) plays a role in extracellular matrix and correlates with Weill–Marchesani syndrome. However, its role in gastric cancer remains unknown. Thus, we started this research to unveil the role of ADAMTS10 in gastric cancer (GC). Methods: The expression of ADAMTS10 in GC was analyzed by immunohistochemical staining and quantitative RT-PCR (qRT-PCR). The effects of ADAMTS10 inhibiting GC cell progression were conducted by functional experiments in vitro and in vivo. Flow cytometry was used to discover changing of cell cycle, apoptosis and ROS by ADAMTS10 in GC cell. Western blot was applied to identify targets of ADAMTS10. Western blot, qRT-PCR and flow cytometry were applied to discover the effect of ADAMT10 on THP1. Results: ADAMTS10 expression was downregulated in GC tissue and patients with low ADAMTS10 levels had poorer overall survival. ADAMTS10 overexpression altered cell cycle, promoted apoptosis, and inhibited proliferation, migration, and invasion in vitro and in vivo. ADAMTS10 regulated TXNIP and ROS through the JAK/STAT/c-MYC pathway. Decreasing TXNIP and ROS reversed the inhibitory effect of ADAMTS10 on cell migration and invasion in vitro. ADAMTS10 secreted by GC cells was absorbed by THP1 and regulated TXNIP and ROS in THP1. ADAMTS10 secreted by GC cells inhibited macrophage M2 polarization. Conclusions: These results suggest that ADAMTS10 targets TXNIP and ROS via the JAK/STAT/c-MYC pathway and that may play important roles in GC progression and macrophage polarization which indicates that ADAMTS10 can be a potential survival marker for gastric cancer. However, its role in gastric cancer (GC) is unclear. In this study, the role of ADAMTS16 in gastric cancer was investigated. The effects of ADAMTS16 on cell migration, invasion, and proliferation were investigated by functional experiments in vivo and in vitro. Downstream signal pathways of ADAMTS16 were confirmed by using bioinformatics analysis, co-immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence. Meanwhile, bioinformatics analysis, qRT-PCR, western blot, and dual-luciferase reporter gene analysis assays were used to identify ADAMTS16 targets. The expression of ADAMTS16 in GC was analyzed in public datasets. The expression of ADAMTS16 and its correlations with the clinical characteristics of GC were investigated by immunohistochemistry. Ectopic ADAMTS16 expression significantly promoted tumor cell migration, invasion, and growth. Bioinformatics analysis and western blot showed that ADAMTS16 upregulated the IFI27 protein through the NF-κb pathway, which was confirmed by immunofluorescence and western blot. Dual-luciferase reporter gene analysis identified a binding site between P65 and IFI27 that may be directly involved in the transcriptional regulation of IFI27. IFI27 knockdown reversed the promoting effect of ADAMTS16 on cell invasion, migration, and proliferation indicating that ADAMTS16 acts on GC cells by targeting the NF-κb/IFI27 axis. ADAMTS16 was associated with poor prognosis in clinical characteristics. Targeting to obtain efficient catalysts for methanol steam reforming to manufacture H 2 , Ce-Cu-O solid solutions having different Ce/Cu ratios were designed with XRD extrapolation method established by our lab. It is quantified that the lattice capacity of Ce-Cu-O solid solution is 0.109 g CuO/g CeO 2 , equaling to a Ce/Cu mole ratio of 81/19. Therefore, Cu2+ cations can maximally substitute 19% Ce4+ in cubic fluorite CeO 2 matrix to form a stable solid solution in pure phase. Further increasing CuO content leads to the generation of surface CuO species. Below the lattice capacity, the quantity of surface defects/oxygen vacancies improves by increasing the lattice Cu2+ amount until it reaches the lattice capacity. The formation of pure phase solid solution is beneficial to generate surface active oxygen species (O 2 -) and alkaline sites, which is vital for the reaction. The sample with a lattice capacity amount of CuO (Ce 0.8 Cu 0.2 O x) possesses the largest amount of these surface sites. In addition, this sample has appropriate amounts of both Cu+ and Cu0 after reducing, being favorable for the redox cycle during the reaction. Hence, it shows the optimal reaction performance in all the samples. A lattice capacity threshold effect is evidently observed for the reaction. It is proposed that the best catalysts for the reaction is able to be fabricated by doping CeO 2 with the lattice capacity amount of CuO. Generally, the charge transfer character of thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials results in a long excitonic lifetime and broad‐band emission. With the combination of unity exciton utilization of TADF material and high radiative rate and narrow‐band emission of conventional fluorescence (CF) dopant, hyperfluorescence organic light‐emitting diodes (HF‐OLEDs) attract extensive attention in industry and academia recently. Till now, Dexter energy transfer (DET) from the triplet state of TADF assistant host to the dark triplet state of CF guest is the top‐drawer energy loss issue root in HF‐OLEDs. Herein, the energy loss of DET is blocked through one‐step substitution of TADF assistant host by electronically inert phenyl‐fluorene terminal for the first time. The blocking effect on DET process in HF‐OLEDs is investigated by means of photophysical characterization, theoretical calculation, device fabrication, and Monte Carlo simulation. The maximum external quantum efficiency of 18.1% with Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage coordinates of (0.61, 0.38) is achieved, which is on par with the state‐of‐the‐art efficiency for red HF‐OLEDs. Further, the isomeric effect has a significant effect on the electronic structure of excited state, giving rise to the investigated compounds tunable luminescence mechanisms of TADF and RTP. With efficient triplet harvesting ability, maximum external quantum efficiencies up to 25.1 % and 8.7 % are achieved for the corresponding TADF and RTP OLEDs, verifying the great potential of sulfur‐bridged frameworks for highly efficient devices. Dermatophagoides farinae is one of the most important allergens that cause allergic diseases and trigger serious harm to the human body. D.farinae is widely distributed, and the development of genetic markers and genetic information regarding the populations of this species are needed to establish control strategies. The aim is to develop a microsatellite marker and assess the genetic diversity and population structure of different populations of D. farinae. The genomic DNA of D. farinae was extracted and sequenced by NGS analysis. Microsatellite markers were identified and screened with MISA software. Primers were designed with Primer5.0 and screened by capillary electrophoresis detection. Genotyping was implemented with GeneMarker 2.2. Genetic diversity and population structure were analysed by related softwares. Twelve microsatellite markers detected 66 alleles in 256 individuals of D. farinae from 12 geographic populations. The average allele number (Na), effective allele number (Ne), observed heterozygosity (Ho), and expected heterozygosity (He) were 4.431, 2.610, 1.056 and 0.484, respectively. Genetic variation existed within populations and there was no correlation between geographic distance and genetic distance (Fst) (P = 0.160). Structure analysis showed D. farinae is largely divided into three groups. The genetic diversity of the geographical population of D. farinae is relatively high. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Air-breathing has evolved independently serval times with a variety of air-breathing organs (ABOs) in fish. The physiology of the air-breathing in bimodal respiration fish has been well understood, while studies on molecular mechanisms of the character are very limited. In the present study, we first determined the gill indexes of 110 fish species including 25 and 85 kinds of bimodal respiration fishes and non-air-breathing fishes, respectively. Then combined with histological observations of gills and ABOs/non-ABOs in three bimodal respiration fishes and two non-air breathing fishes, we found that the bimodal respiration fish was always of a degeneration gill and a well-vascularized ABO. Meanwhile, a comparative transcriptome analysis of posterior intestines, namely a well vascularized ABO in Misgurnus anguillicaudatus and a non-ABO in Leptobotia elongata, was performed to expound molecular variations of the air-breathing character. A total of 5,003 orthologous genes were identified. Among them, 1,189 orthologous genes were differentially expressed, which were enriched in 14 KEGG pathways. More specially, the expressions of hemoglobin genes and various HIF/VEGF signaling pathway genes were obviously upregulated in the ABO of M. anguillicaudatus. Moreover, we found that HIF-1α, VEGFAa, and MAP2K1 were co-expressed dramatically higher in ABOs of bimodal respiration fishes than those of non-ABOs of non-air-breathing fishes. These results indicated that the HIF/VEGF pathway played an important role in ABO angiogenesis/formation to promote fish to do aerial respiration.
