Three-dimensional (3D) microstructure reconstruction is a key approach to exploring the relationship between pore characteristics and physical properties. Viewing the training image as a prior model, multiple-point statistics (MPS) focus on reproducing spatial patterns in the simulation grid. However, it is challenging to efficiently generate 3D nonstationary models with varying microstructures. In this work, we propose column-oriented simulation (ColSIM) to achieve the stochastic reconstruction of 3D porous media. A heterogeneous system is understood as a spatially evolving process that consists of frequent transitions of small magnitude and abrupt changes of large magnitude. First, a training image selection step is suggested to find representative microstructures. Our program applies modified Hausdorff distance, t-distributed stochastic neighboring embedding, and spectral clustering to organize two-dimensional (2D) candidate images. The medoid of each group is applied to guide the following programs. Second, we introduce column-oriented searching into MPS. To save simulation time, a subset of conditioning points is checked to find desired instances. Our program suggests an early stopping strategy to address complex microstructures. Third, a contrastive loss term is designed to create 3D models from 2D slice. To automatically calibrate the volume fraction and simplify parameter specification, the computer consistently monitors the difference between the present model and the target. The performance of ColSIM is examined by 3D multiphase material modeling and 3D heterogeneous shale simulation. To achieve quantitative evaluation, we compute various statistical functions and physical descriptors on simulated realizations. The proposed ColSIM exhibits competitive performance in terms of calculation efficiency, microstructure reproduction, and spatial uncertainty.

This paper introduces a new safety approach for Optical Wireless Power Transmission (OWPT), a technology that is integral to the new kinds of Wireless Power Transmission technology (WPT). It starts from the fundamental configuration of the current OWPT system, addressing the safety concerns related to lasers by involving laser irradiation hazards, laser exposure regulation and guidelines, and a comparison with other safety methods. A camera-based OWPT safety system focused on the emission control of the light source is proposed, and it utilizes a depth camera and finely tuned computer vision-based control program. Through meticulous system design and experiments, the proposed system can detect moving objects in a limited indoor environment and control the laser/LED light transmission according to the object’s velocity dynamically. Various functions and exclusive improvements towards OWPT operation are mentioned, and Dynamic Safety-Distance is proposed as the core mechanism of the safety system. Through on-site experiments, indoor safety control and system operation’s evaluation are discussed, acknowledging both the advantages and limitations of the proposed safety system. This paper concludes with suggestions for further developments in camera-based OWPT safety incorporating the concept of Automatic Emission Control.

In this study, a method was developed for the rapid online measurement of sodium nitrite solutions using near-infrared spectroscopy. A series of standard solutions of sodium nitrite at different concentrations were prepared, and the samples were measured in cuvettes and flow cells. Following the preprocessing of raw spectra and band selection, partial least squares were used to establish a prediction model, and the coefficient of determination (R2) of the validation set and the root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP) of the model were 0.9989 and 0.0338. The results demonstrate that the established model can meet the demands of online measurement and perform the rapid, nondestructive detection of sodium nitrite solutions, which provides some basis for the automated formulation of feedstock in spent fuel reprocessing.

Post-translational modification (PTM) refers to the covalent attachment of functional groups to protein substrates, resulting in structural and functional changes. PTMs not only regulate the development and progression of liver cancer, but also play a crucial role in the immune response against cancer. Cancer immunity encompasses the combined efforts of innate and adaptive immune surveillance against tumor antigens, tumor cells, and tumorigenic microenvironments. Increasing evidence suggests that immunotherapies, which harness the immune system’s potential to combat cancer, can effectively improve cancer patient prognosis and prolong the survival. This review presents a comprehensive summary of the current understanding of key PTMs such as phosphorylation, ubiquitination, SUMOylation, and glycosylation in the context of immune cancer surveillance against liver cancer. Additionally, it highlights potential targets associated with these modifications to enhance the response to immunotherapies in the treatment of liver cancer.

A distributed high-speed data acquisition and monitoring system for the RF negative ion source at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is developed, which consists of data acquisition, data forwarding and data processing. Firstly, the data acquisition modules sample physical signals at high speed and upload the sampling data with corresponding absolute-time labels over UDP, which builds the time correlation among different signals. And a special data packet format is proposed for the data upload, which is convenient for packing or parsing a fixed-length packet, especially when the span of the time labels in a packet crosses an absolute second. The data forwarding modules then receive the UDP messages and distribute their data packets to the real-time display module and the data storage modules by PUB/SUB-pattern message queue of ZeroMQ. As for the data storage, a scheme combining the file server and MySQL database is adopted to increase the storage rate and facilitate the data query. The test results show that the loss rate of the data packets is within the range of 0–5% and the storage rate is higher than 20 Mbps, both acceptable for the HUST RF negative ion source.

Aqueous zinc‐metal batteries are prospective energy storge devices due to their intrinsically high safety and cost effectiveness. Yet, uneven deposition of zinc ions in electrochemical reduction and side reactions at the anode interface significantly hinder their development and application. Here, we propose a solvation‐interface attenuation strategy enabled by a frustrated tertiary amine amphiphilic dipolymer electrolyte additive. The configuration of superhydrophilic segments with covalently bonded lipophilic spacers enables coupled steric hindrance/coordination, which establishes a balanced push‐pull dynamic of dipolymer‐H2O‐Zn2+. Such interplay reconstructs the solvation structure of Zn2+ and allows the formation of a stable dipolymer‐inorganic hybrid solid electrolyte interface (SEI) layer. This SEI layer effectively shields the zinc‐metal anode from water and anions, significantly reducing side reactions. In addition, the dipolymer adsorbed at the zinc‐metal anode interface regulates the interfacial electrochemical reduction kinetics and ensures uniform zinc deposition. As a result, the Zn−Zn symmetric cells with dipolymer‐containing electrolyte exhibit remarkable cycling stability exceeding 5800 h (242 days). The Zn‐NVO batteries and Zn‐AC hybrid ion supercapacitors also deliver stable cycling for up to 1440 h (60 days) with high‐capacity retention over 80 %. The order Agaricales was divided into eight suborders. However, the phylogenetic relationships among some suborders are largely unresolved, and the phylogenetic positions and delimitations of some taxa, such as Sarcomyxaceae and Tricholomopsis, remain unsettled. In this study, sequence data of 38 genomes were generated through genome skimming on an Illumina sequencing system. To anchor the systematic position of Sarcomyxaceae and Tricholomopsis, a phylogenetic analysis based on 555 single-copy orthologous genes from the aforementioned genomes and 126 publicly accessible genomes was performed. The results fully supported the clustering of Tricholomopsis with Phyllotopsis and Pleurocybella within Phyllotopsidaceae, which formed a divergent monophyletic major lineage together with Pterulaceae, Radulomycetaceae, and Macrotyphula in Agaricales. The analysis also revealed that Sarcomyxaceae formed a unique major clade. Therefore, two new suborders, Phyllotopsidineae and Sarcomyxineae, are proposed for the two major lineages. Analyses of 450 single-copy orthologous genes and four loci suggested that Tricholomopsis consisted of at least four clades. Tricholomopsis is subsequently subdivided into four distinct sections. Seventeen Tricholomopsis species in China, including six new species, are reported. Conoloma is established to accommodate T. mucronata. The substrate preference of Tricholomopsis species and the transitions of the pileate ornamentations among the species within the genus are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
