Objective In order to improve train operational efficiency, it is necessary to monitor metro traction power consumption and establish a relevant energy consumption model for prediction analysis of metro traction power consumption. Method The basic principles of grey prediction model and BP (backpropagation) neural network are introduced. Taking the traction daily electricity consumption data for a typical metro station in Tianjin in June 2021 as example, the grey correlation analysis method is used to select the influencing factors with high correlation to the daily traction power consumption of metro. Based on the GM (1,1) grey prediction model, the short-term traction daily power consumption is predicted. The selected influencing factors with high correlation, the short-term traction daily power consumption predicted by GM (1,1) grey model, and the adjacent historical traction daily power consumption data are used as input for training in BP neural network model to establish the GM-BP grey neural network model. The required short-term metro traction daily power consumption prediction data is generated. Result & Conclusion Compared with conventional GM (1,1) grey prediction model and BP neural network model, the prediction error of short-term traction daily power consumption predicted by the GM-BP grey neural network model shows significant improvement, and can be used as effective metro traction power consumption data for short-term prediction data analysis.

Abstract Long-term non-progressors (LTNPs) of HIV-1 infection may provide important insights into mechanisms involved in viral control and pathogenesis. Here, our results suggest that the ribosomal protein lateral stalk subunit P1 (RPLP1) is expressed at higher levels in LTNPs compared to regular progressors (RPs). Functionally, RPLP1 inhibits transcription of clade B HIV-1 strains by occupying the C/EBPβ binding sites in the viral long terminal repeat (LTR). This interaction requires the α-helixes 2 and 4 domains of RPLP1 and is evaded by HIV-1 group M subtype C and group N, O and P strains that do not require C/EBPβ for transcription. We further demonstrate that HIV-1-induced translocation of RPLP1 from the cytoplasm to the nucleus is essential for antiviral activity. Finally, knock-down of RPLP1 promotes reactivation of latent HIV-1 proviruses. Thus, RPLP1 may play a role in the maintenance of HIV-1 latency and resistance to RPLP1 restriction may contribute to the effective spread of clade C HIV-1 strains.

In urban areas, variations in the functional usage of buildings or their clusters directly influence the 2D/3D morphology of buildings which can lead to changes in the ventilation potential (VP) at different heights, but there is a lack of refined quantitative relationship analysis between 3D building form parameters (BFPs) and VP at different heights within a certain urban area. The objective of our study is to obtain simulated wind field data from different heights, considering distances from roads, and transverse and longitudinal sections. We employ partial correlation analysis, simple correlation analysis, and Geographic detectors to uncover the extent and mechanisms of the influence of BFPs on the ventilation effectiveness of neighborhoods in a major urban center in China, specifically Nanjing. The findings demonstrate that, at all heights, there is an inverse relationship between wind speed and building density (BD), with the location of higher wind speed generally aligning with the intersection points. The correlation coefficients between BD and simulated wind speed are 0.040 (1.5 ​m), −0.475 (10 ​m), and −0.314 (30 ​m), while the correlation coefficients between building height (BH) and simulated wind speed are 0.237. However, no significant correlation is observed between floor area ratio (FAR) and simulated wind speed. Geographic detector analysis reveals differences in the correlation between BFPs and simulated wind speed at different heights within various building functional areas. Our study provides some practical information for urban planners and designers to carry out wind sensitivity and adaptation planning and urban design.

ObjectiveTo explore the incidence and influencing factors of subacute and chronic pain in patients returning to the ICU after surgery, provide diagnostic and therapeutic insights for the evaluation and management of such patients, and improve the prognosis of this population.MethodsPatients who underwent surgical treatment and returned to the ICU from November 29, 2021 to December 31, 2021 at Peking Union Medical College Hospital were prospectively recruited. Subacute and chronic pain incidence and characteristics were assessed by telephone at 1 and 3 months after surgery and the influencing factors were further explored.ResultsA total of 117 patients were enrolled, with an average age of 60.9±16.0 years. The incidence of subacute postoperative pain in patients returning to the ICU after surgery was 45.7%(53/116), and the incidence of chronic postoperative pain in patients returning to the ICU after surgery was 32.7%(36/110). The mean NRS for moderate to severe subacute pain and chronic pain after surgery were(4.9±1.2) and (5.2±1.1), respectively. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that coronary artery disease (OR=5.263, 95% CI: 1.436-19.292)was risk factor for chronic postoperative pain in patients returning to the ICU after surgery.ConclusionsPatients returning to the ICU after surgery have a high incidence of postoperative subacute and chronic pain. Coronary artery disease was the risk factor for chronic pain.Perioperative multimodal pain management can be used to improve the pain experience of patients during ICU hospitalization and the short-term and long-term prognosis of patients.

A novel PSMA targeting molecule ［177Lu］Lu-DOTA-CPN-PSMA with high uptake and long retention in prostate cancer was developed, in which DOTA was used as the bifunctional chelator, glutamic acid-urea-lysine(Glu-Urea-Lys) was used as the targeting group, and 4-(p-tolyl)butyric acid(CP) group together with quinoline ring were introduced at the linker of this molecule. The precursor DOTA-CPN-PSMA was synthesized using solid-phase peptide synthesis method. DOTA-CPN-PSMA was labeled with carrier-free 177Lu. The influences of pH, reaction time, temperature, and ratio of 177Lu/PSMA on the radiolabeling were investigated respectively, and the optimal labeling condition was determined accordingly. The lipid water partition coefficient and in vitro stability of ［177Lu］Lu-DOTA-CPN-PSMA were also measured. Preliminary SPECT/CT imaging study of ［177Lu］Lu-DOTA-CPN-PSMA was performed in nude mice bearing 22RV1 tumor and compared with ［177Lu］Lu-PSMA-I&T. The optimization of the labeling condition shows that the addition of gentisic acid is essential, and the reaction pH is at the range of 3.5-5.5, the reaction temperature and time is 60.94 ℃ and 5.15 min respectively, the ratio of 177Lu/PSMA(mCi/μg, 1 Ci=3.7×1010 Bq) is controlled at 1∶1-2∶1. The radiochemical purity reaches over 95%, and even up to 99%. The results of in vitro stability study show that the radiochemical purity is remained ≥95% after being incubated in saline and bovine serum at 37 ℃ for 24 h. So that the solution of ［177Lu］Lu-DOTA-CPN-PSMA is used for imaging study directly without further purification. The lipid-water partition coefficient of ［177Lu］Lu-DOTA-CPN-PSMA is -2.02, indicate that it is more lipophilic than ［177Lu］Lu-PSMA-I&T. Preliminary SPECT/CT studies reveal that ［177Lu］Lu-DOTA-CPN-PSMA is mainly metabolized through kidneys. Compared with images of ［177Lu］Lu-PSMA-I&T, higher uptake in prostate tumors and lower uptake in the kidneys are displayed. After 72 h, ［177Lu］Lu-DOTA-CPN-PSMA demonstrates longer retension in tumor than ［177Lu］-PSMA-I&T, but also displays longer retention in the body. These results demonstrate the potential of ［177Lu］Lu-DOTA-CPN-PSMA as a candidate for the treatment of prostate cancer and it is worth further study.

Abstract Sap flow offers key insights about transpiration dynamics and forest‐climate interactions. Accurately simulating sap flow remains challenging due to measurement uncertainties and interactions between global and local environmental controls. Addressing these complexities, this study leveraged Long Short‐Term Memory networks (LSTMs) with SAPFLUXNET to predict hourly tree‐level sap flow across Europe. We built models with diverse training sets to assess performance under previously unseen conditions. The average Kling‐Gupta Efficiency was 0.77 for models trained on 50% of time series across all forest stands, and 0.52 for models trained on 50% of the forest stands. Continental models not only matched but surpassed the performance of specialized and baselines for all genera and forest types, showcasing the capacity of LSTMs to effectively generalize across tree genera, climates, and forest ecosystems given minimal inputs. This study underscores the potential of LSTMs in generalizing state‐dependent ecohydrological processes and bridging tree level measurements to continental scales.

Increasing tobacco control and public health awareness have increased smokers’ attempts to quit smoking. However, some smokers also seek alternative products claimed to pose less risks. The use of smokeless tobacco (ST) products may thus increase in some countries which are not traditionally ST markets. To provide a cross-sectional picture on ST usage in China, a survey was conducted from December 2019 to March 2020 in representative metropolitan cities (divided into three tiers by their populations and gross domestic product (GDP) sizes), from which 3,000 tobacco users and 801 ST users were randomly recruited to provide a snapshot of ST usage behaviour and other pertinent factors for Chinese tobacco users. The study included questionnaires designed to probe potential reasons behind ST use, usage habits, and nicotine dependence attributes. These questions were devised to cover the type of tobacco products used, users’ age, gender, city of residence, residence time, household monthly income, etc., and was supported by some verification questions. Mann-Whitney-analysis was used for significance analysis between different groups. The results showed that ST prevalence for Chinese tobacco users was around 2.1%. The proportion of exclusively ST use was about 8.99%, and the mean conversion time to habitual ST use was about three months. Demographic information such as the city tiers where ST users lived, their age, gender, educational and income levels appeared to correlate with ST use habits although more studies are needed to verify the observations. The fact that a small but measurable population of Chinese ST users exists has important implications for tobacco control. This study provides the first large-scale, single-time-point survey on Chinese ST user profiles, which may help the future research on tobacco control policy regarding ST products in China.

The study adopts digital ground model (DTM) and digital elevation model (DEM) to construct the virtual spatial environment, and combines extensive texture mapping and small texture mapping techniques to optimize the texture display on the surface of the 3D model. The coordinate system transformation of computer graphics further enhances the fidelity of the virtual environment. In addition, this study analyzes the information diffusion pattern in the network and real space based on the information space model. The empirical analysis shows that the spread of new media art in the virtual communication space has been significantly enhanced, especially in expressing individual and collective emotions, contemporary media art has obvious advantages compared with traditional art. The information dissemination analysis confirms the accuracy of the information diffusion model in predicting the communication trend of contemporary media art, and the negative sentiment index of modern media art is lower than that of traditional art between 2016 and 2023, showing a more positive emotional communication pattern. This study shows that artificial intelligence technology can effectively promote the communication and dissemination of new media art. Through the construction of virtual space and the application of information diffusion model, contemporary media art is not only improved in communication efficiency and dynamics.

Natural killer T cells (NKTs) are innate-like lymphocytes that are abundant in the liver and participate in liver immunity. NKT cells express both NK cell and T cell markers, modulate innate and adaptive immune responses. Type I and Type II NKT cells are classified according to the TCR usage, while they recognize lipid antigen in a non-classical major histocompatibility (MHC) molecule CD1d-restricted manner. Once activated, NKT cells can quickly produce cytokines and chemokines to negatively or positively regulate the immune responses, depending on the different NKT subsets. In liver transplantation (LTx), the immune reactions in a series of processes determine the recipients’ long-term survival, including ischemia-reperfusion injury, alloresponse, and post-transplant infection. This review provides insight into the research on NKT cells subpopulations in LTx immunity during different processes, and discusses the shortcomings of the current research on NKT cells. Additionally, the CD56-expressing T cells are recognized as a NK-like T cell population, they were also discussed during these processes.

Lignocellulosic biomass is still considered a feasible source of bioethanol production. Saccharomyces cerevisiae can adapt to detoxify lignocellulose-derived inhibitors, including furfural. Tolerance of strain performance has been measured by the extent of the lag phase for cell proliferation following the furfural inhibitor challenge. The purpose of this work was to obtain a tolerant yeast strain against furfural through overexpression of YPR015C using the in vivo homologous recombination method. The physiological observation of the overexpressing yeast strain showed that it was more resistant to furfural than its parental strain. Fluorescence microscopy revealed improved enzyme reductase activity and accumulation of oxygen reactive species due to the harmful effects of furfural inhibitor in contrast to its parental strain. Comparative transcriptomic analysis revealed 79 genes potentially involved in amino acid biosynthesis, oxidative stress, cell wall response, heat shock protein, and mitochondrial-associated protein for the YPR015C overexpressing strain associated with stress responses to furfural at the late stage of lag phase growth. Both up- and down-regulated genes involved in diversified functional categories were accountable for tolerance in yeast to survive and adapt to the furfural stress in a time course study during the lag phase growth. This study enlarges our perceptions comprehensively about the physiological and molecular mechanisms implicated in the YPR015C overexpressing strain’s tolerance under furfural stress.

Objective To investigate the occurrence of stress depression caused by retinal cells death driven by activation of photosensitive STIM1 calcium channel and the changes in brain inflammation related to the visually-associated brain regions. Methods A mouse model of retinal injury driven by light was constructed by injecting STIM1 virus into the vitreous body of mouse eyeball. HE staining and depression-related behavior test were performed to assess the severity of retinopathy and incidence of depression. Reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR), Western blotting and immunofluorescence assay were used to analyze the changes of microglial cells, inflammatory factors (IL-6 and MIP-1α), nerve cell damage marker (S100B), apoptotic protein (Caspase-3) and myelin basic protein (MBP) in the depressive mice. Results ① The cell density in each layer of the mouse retina were decreased significantly under the light mode of 3 h/d for 7 consecutive days (P < 0.05). ② In the open field test, the times of entering the central area, moving distance in the central area and total distance of movement were obviously decreased (P < 0.05), the index of sucrose preference of the sucrose preference test was significantly decreased (P < 0.01), and the immobile time in the forced swimming test and the tail suspension test was notably increased (P < 0.001) in the mice from the photosensitive group. The positive rate of depression in all the 4 tests (open field test, sucrose preference test, forced swimming test and tail suspension test) was 23.26%. ③The density of IBa-1+ cells in the visual cortex and dorsolateral geniculate nucleus was elevated in the depressive mice of the photosensitive group (P < 0.05). The expression of IL-6 and MIP-1α at mRNA level was obviously elevated (P < 0.000 1), as well as the expression of S100B and Caspase-3 at protein level was significantly enhanced (P < 0.001), while the MBP protein in the white matter was clearly weakened (P < 0.05). The intensity of MBP fluorescence signal was evidently reduced in the corpus callosum (cc) area and cingulate gyrus (cg) area in white matter (P < 0.000 1). Conclusion A stress depression-like mouse model caused by light-driven retinal injury is successfully constructed. Pathogenesis of depression is closely associated with inflammatory environment and neuronal apoptosis in the vision-related brain regions and demyelinating injury in white matter.

Infrared camouflage is an effective technique to avoid many kinds of target detection by detectors in the infrared band. For a high-temperature environment, thermal management of selective emission is crucial to dissipate heat in the mid-infrared non-atmospheric window (5–8 μm). However, it still remains challenges for balancing infrared camouflage and thermal management. Here, we experimentally demonstrate a multilayer film structure (MFS) for infrared camouflage with thermal management. Combining the ideal emission spectrum and genetic algorithm (GA), the inverse-design MFS containing 7 layers of five materials (SiO2, Ge, ZnS, Pt and Au) has been designed. Based on the hierarchical metamaterial, the optimized MFS has high performance of infrared camouflage to against the lidar detection in the near-infrared band. The experimental results reveal the high compatible efficiency among thermal camouflage (ε3–5μm = 0.21, ε8–14μm = 0.16), laser stealth (ε1.06μm = 0.64, ε1.55μm = 0.90, ε10.6μm = 0.76) and thermal management (ε5–8μm = 0.54). Therefore, the proposed MFSs are attractive as basic building block of selective emitter, for the application of advanced photonics such as radiative cooling, infrared camouflage, and thermal emission.

Mangoes often suffer from low temperature-induced chilling injury (CI) during postharvest cold storage. Therefore, advanced techniques are crucial and in high demand to solve the chilling stress of mango fruit for a higher value. This study addresses chilling stress modulation by investigating the effects of melatonin treatment on CI, proline metabolism, and related gene expressions of ‘Keitt’ mango during cold storage after dipped in 0 (control), 0.1 (MT1), and 0.2 mmol L−1 (MT2) melatonin solution for 30 min. The results revealed that melatonin treatment in MT1 significantly reduced CI development and increased proline content in mango fruit during cold storage compared to the control. These changes were along with increases in the activity of critical enzymes as well as the expression of encoding genes involved in proline biosynthesis, such as pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthetase (P5CS), pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase (P5CR), ornithine D-aminotransferase (OAT), P5CS2, P5CR2, and OAT3. Additionally, proline dehydrogenase (PDH) activity and the expression of the PDH3 gene associated with proline dehydrogenation were lower in MT1-treated mangoes than the controlled group. Thus, melatonin treatment has regulated proline metabolism resulting in the accumulation of proline, subsequently contributing to enhancing the chilling tolerance of ‘Keitt’ mango fruit.

Dendritic cells (DCs) are the most powerful antigen presenting cells (APCs), they are considered one of the key regulatory factors in the liver immune system. There is currently much interest in modulating DC function to improve transplant immune response. In liver transplantation, DCs participate in both the promotion and inhibition of the alloreponse by adopting different phenotypes and function. Thus, in this review, we discussed the origin, maturation, migration and pathological effects of several DC subsets, including the conventional DC (cDC), plasmacytoid DC (pDC) and monocyte-derived DC (Mo-DC) in liver transplantation, and we summarized the roles of these DC subsets in liver transplant rejection and tolerance. In addition, we also outlined the latest progress in DC-based related treatment regimens. Overall, our discussion provides a beneficial resource for better understanding the biology of DCs and their manipulation to improve the immune adaptability of patients in transplant status.

Abstract The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has caused a severe global health crisis; its structural protein envelope (E) is critical for viral entry, budding, production, and induction of pathology which makes it a potential target for therapeutics against COVID-19. Here, we find that the E3 ligase RNF5 interacts with and catalyzes ubiquitination of E on the 63rd lysine, leading to its degradation by the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS). Importantly, RNF5-induced degradation of E inhibits SARS-CoV-2 replication and the RNF5 pharmacological activator Analog-1 alleviates disease development in a mouse infection model. We also found that RNF5 is distinctively expressed in different age groups and in patients displaying different disease severity, which may be exploited as a prognostic marker for COVID-19. Furthermore, RNF5 recognized the E protein from various SARS-CoV-2 strains and SARS-CoV, suggesting that targeting RNF5 is a broad-spectrum antiviral strategy. Our findings provide novel insights into the role of UPS in antagonizing SARS-CoV-2 replication, which opens new avenues for therapeutic intervention to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Background Timely identification and proper treatment of nail disease is of great significance to the prevention of foot ulcer in diabetes. However, insufficient understanding of nail disease is highly prevalent in clinical workers. What's more, there is a lack of a summary of the best evidence about clinical management of nail diseases in diabetes in China. Objective To comprehensively retrieve and analyze evidence about the management of nail disease in diabetes, and give a summary of the best evidence. Methods We searched databases of BMJ Best Practice, UpToDate, WHO, Guidelines International Network, NICE, National Guideline Clearinghouse, RNAO, Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network, New Zealand Guidelines Group, Yimaitong, JBI, PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, CNKI and Wanfang Data for clinical decisions, guidelines, systematic reviews and expert consensuses regarding the management of nail diseases in diabetes included as of December 6, 2021. Then we evaluated the quality of the evidence, and rated it according to the 2016 Supporting Document for the Joanna Briggs Institute Levels of Evidence and Grades of Recommendation, and summarized the best evidence. Results A total of 8 studies were enrolled, including 1 about clinical decisions, 4 guidelines and 3 expert consensuses. The clinical decisions was from the UpToDate and directly included. Two guidelines were rated B, and the other 2 were rated A, all of which were allowed to be included. All the expert consensuses showed a high level of quality, and were allowed to be included. Finally, 9 items of best evidence regarding nail disease assessment, handling and health education were summarized, including 5 A-level recommendations and 4 B-level recommendations. Conclusion This study searched the clinical decisions, guidelines and expert consensus related to the management of patients with diabetes mellitus, and summarized the best evidence of the management of patients with diabetes mellitus. The evidence involves three aspects: nail disease assessment, handling and health education were summarized, and the levels were A-level recommendation and B-level recommendation. Our summary of the best evidence could be used as evidence-based basis for early clinical assessment and treatment of nail disease in diabetes.

Optical metamaterials give birth to the control and regulation of light. However, because of strong energy dissipation and fabrication difficulty in meta-atoms, low-loss isotropic three dimensional negative index metamaterials (NIMs) in the visible spectrum has long been regarded as an extremely challenging. Here, we report an ultralow loss isotropic metamaterials for visible light and its inverse Doppler effect. The ball-thorn-shaped metaclusters with symmetrical structure consisting of the dielectric and its surface dispersed super-thin silver layer was proposed, the surface plasma resonance is formed by discrete silver layer with a thickness of two or three atomic layers. We invented a unique technique for preparing ultralow loss isotropic clusters and three-dimensional large block samples. The negative refractive index and the inverse Doppler effect of green and red light is measured by the prism method for the first time. The discrete super-thin silver layer produced by the photoreduction method greatly reduces the generation of loss and break through noble metal high energy losses of traditional optical frequency metamaterial, the metaclusters unfold bottleneck of the nano-assemble visible light metamaterials, opening a door for disorder assembling ultralow loss isotropic three-dimensional large block NIMs devices of arbitrary shape.

NKX2.5 is a transcription factor that plays a key role in cardiovascular growth and development. Several independent studies have been previously conducted to investigate the association between the single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) 606G >C (rs3729753) in the coding region of NKX2.5 and congenital heart disease (CHD). However, the results of these studies have been inconsistent. Therefore, the present study aimed to reveal the relationship between NKX2.5 SNP 606G >C and the risk of CHD as possible in the Chinese population through meta-analysis. After retrieving related articles in PubMed, MEDLINE, EMBASE, Web of science, Cochrane, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang DATA, and VIP database until August 2021, a total of eight studies were included in the present meta-analysis. The qualified research data were then merged into allele, dominant, recessive, heterozygous, homozygous, and additive models. Overall results of the current meta-analysis showed that 606G >C was not associated with CHD of the Chinese population in any model. In addition, subgroup analysis based on CHD type gave the same negative result. Results of sensitivity analysis showed that there was no significant correlation after the deletion of each study. Furthermore, it was noted that the results were negative and the heterogeneity was not significant. In conclusion, it was evident that NKX2-5 SNP 606G >C may not lead to the risk of CHD in Chinese population.

Neurocritical care is an important branch of critical care medicine. The mechanism of critical neurological damage is complex and diverse, and the pathophysiology changes rapidly. Different pathophysiological changes determine different degrees of brain injury. In a special plateau environment, the incidence of critical neurological disease is higher, the age of onset is younger, the disease progress is faster, and the degree of damage is more severe. In order to standardize the diagnosis and treatment, enhance monitoring and management, provide timely and precise treatment, prevent irreversible brain injury, and improve the prognosis of patients with critical neurological illness at high altitudes, the Research Group of Calm Treatment of China, Research Group of Critical Care Ultrasound of China, and the Quality Control Center of Critical Care Medicine in Tibet formulated the Expert Consensus on Monitoring and Management of Patients with Critical Neurological Illness at High Altitudes on the basis of full discussion and communication of relevant critical medical experts and neurosurgery experts according to domestic and foreign literature and years of experience in clinical application and promotion. The main contents of the consensus are as follows.(1) According to the pathophysiological mechanism of neurological involvement in critical illness, scenarios of neurocritical care at high altitudes can be divided into cerebral hemorrhage at high altitudes, severe traumatic brain injuries, ischemic stroke, cerebral edema at high altitudes, and septic encephalopathy (8.4 points).(2) It is recommended to use cerebral blood flow, brain function monitoring and cerebral oxygen saturation as a 'triad' monitoring core in management of neurocritical care at high altitude, to as well as cerebrospinal fluid dynamics monitoring and brain structure surveillance (9.0 points).(3) It is recommended to grade patients quickly, and the '5-avoids' approach based on 'brain protection' theory were adhered to avoid fever, seizures, anxiety, agitation or pain, shivering, stimulation and nociception, according to different levels. Especially in the 'super critical' stage, with the protection of '446'targets, choose the window for analgesia and sedation (8.4 points).(4) It is recommended to monitor systemic and cerebral hemodynamic continuously and dynamically in order to improve systemic perfusion and optimize cerebral perfusion simultaneously (8.4 points).(5) It is recommended to choose the method of direct measurement of intracranial pressure by intraventricular catheter or optic nerve sheath diameter under ultrasound to estimate intracranial pressure, and choose the appropriate target mean arterial pressure to ensure optimal brain perfusion (8.8 points).(6) It is recommended to use transcranial Doppler ultrasound to evaluate the blood flow velocity and blood flow waveform of the bilateral cerebral arteries. It is recommended to target the blood flow velocity of M1 at 40 cm/s in the 'super critical' period (8.2 points).(7) In the 'super critical' period, we recommend to routinely monitor BIS and maintain the BIS value around 40 as the goal to guide the depth of sedation; those with conditions can be monitored by quantitative electroencephalography to assist determining whether there are non-convulsive seizures, and perform diagnostic evaluation of the prognosis (8.6 points).(8) It is recommended to monitor brain oxygen levels routinely, starting early in the ICU admission of patients with critical neurological conditions at high altitudes, which can assist in the assessment of brain damage (8.6 points).(9) It is recommended to evaluate the cerebral blood flow self-regulation ability routinely to achieve the optimal cerebral perfusion pressure in time and timely adjust the intensity and scheme of treatment (8.2 points).(10) It is recommended to emphasize the importance of target arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide in the artery in critical illness and neurocritical care at high altitudes (8.0 points).(11) It is recommended to devote attention to the importance of targeted temperature management in in critical illness and neurocritical care at high altitudes (8.6 points).(12) It is recommended that multidisciplinary consultation and multi-professional cooperation could improve the management in critical neurological illness at high altitudes (8.8 points).(13) It is recommended that the constitution of improvement in brain structure imaging, pressure normalization of cerebrospinal fluid and restoration of cerebral blood autoregulation could be as the de-escalation triad (8.0 points).(14) It is recommended to be cautious of paroxysmal sympathetic hyperreactivity patients in neurocritical and critical illness at high altitude (8.0 points).(15) It is recommended to be cautious about the management of agitation (delirium) and cognitive function of patients in TBI at high altitudes(8.0 points).(16) It is recommended to assess the itinerary of the rehabilitation in a timely manner for critically sick patients at high altitudes (8.2 points).(17) It is recommended to be cautious of post-traumatic hydrocephalus and related neuroendocrine abnormalities in patients with critical neurological illness at high altitudes (7.6 points).

Peach fruits are known to be highly susceptible to chilling injury (CI) during low-temperature storage, which has been linked to the level of sugar concentration in the fruit. In order to better understand the relationship between sugar metabolism and CI, we conducted a study examining the concentration of sucrose, fructose, and glucose in peach fruit with different sugar concentrations and examined their relationship with CI. Through transcriptome sequencing, we screened the functional genes and transcription factors (TFs) involved in the sugar metabolism pathway that may cause CI in peach fruit. Our results identified five key functional genes (PpSS, PpINV, PpMGAM, PpFRK, and PpHXK) and eight TFs (PpMYB1/3, PpMYB-related1, PpWRKY4, PpbZIP1/2/3, and PpbHLH2) that are associated with sugar metabolism and CI development. The analysis of co-expression network mapping and binding site prediction identified the most likely associations between these TFs and functional genes. This study provides insights into the metabolic and molecular mechanisms regulating sugar changes in peach fruit with different sugar concentrations and presents potential targets for breeding high-sugar and cold-tolerant peach varieties.

Water is one of the most important compounds and plays an important role in biological process, chemical synthesis and material science. Thus, studies about water and related particles water radical cations are always the top research fields. In this work, water dimer radical cation (H2O)2+• was prepared using home made low energy corona discharge device at ambient condition, and its structure was further studied using collision induced dissociation (CID) experiment and isotope labelling method. The dissociation results showed that (H2O)2+• (m/z 36) will lose OH• and H2O to give ions of m/z 19 (H2OH+) and m/z 18 (H2O+•), competitively, revealing that (H2O)2+•can exist in two different structures, including ［H2OH+—•OH］ (hydrogen atom bound structure (A)) and ［H2O∴OH2］+ (oxygen oxygen atom bound structure (B)). Structure A is asymmetry and structure B is symmetry. Furthermore, isotopic labeled experiments were conducted using deuterated water (D2O) and 18O-enriched water (H218O). The dissociation of (D2O)2+•(m/z 40) gave the corresponding protonated water D2OD+ (m/z 22) and water radical cation (D2O)+• (m/z 20). Dissociation of (H2O•D2O)+•(m/z 38) produced the protonated water H2OD+ (m/z 20)/D2OH+ (m/z 21), and water radical cation H2O+• (m/z 18), HOD+• (m/z 19), D2O (m/z 20)+•. In 18O-enriched water (H218O) labelled isotopic experiments, (H2O•H218O)+•(m/z 38) also was dissociated into its corresponding protonated water H2OH+(m/z 19)/H218OH+(m/z 21) and water radical cation H2O+• (m/z 18) and H218O+•(m/z18). The CID and the isotope labelling results indicated that water dimer radical cation (D2O)2+•, (H2O•D2O)+• and (H2O•H218O)+•also exist A and B two structured forms. In conclusion, two structures of water dimer radical cation (H2O)2+•will further reveal that mass spectrometry may help to elucidate chemical mechanism related with (H2O)2+•in the biological processes and chemical reactions.

With the development of artificial intelligence technology, explosive research on the recognition of retina diseases with artificial intelligence was published worldwide, among which, diabetic retinopathy attracted most attention. However, evaluation of different artificial intelligence software remains a problem. The Department of Ophthalmology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital published the first standard well-annotated color photo database of diabetic retinopathy for artificial intelligence research in China. We herein present the procedures for the establishment of the database and aim to provide reference for the future development of similar databases.

The research progress on determination of free-base nicotine in tobacco and tobacco products in the past 30 years was reviewed and discussed, including solvent extraction method, headspace solid-phase microextraction method, 1H NMR, Henderson-Hasselbalch method and spectroscopy method, etc. Advantages and limitations of each method were summarized and discussed and the development in this field was prospected.

Anonymous communication system refers to a network that is built on the network application layer and combines data forwarding, content encryption, traffic obfuscation and other technologies to realize the association between communication entities and the hidden content of the communication content from third parties. In the usage scenarios of business secret transmission and electronic voting, it is an important evaluation standard to ensure that the user′s personal identity and behavior are not recognized by eavesdroppers. Anonymous communication system is to solve the above problems. Anonymous communication system has the characteristics of untraceable message and communication cannot be monitored by a third party. On the one hand, from the perspective of hidden data transmission, anonymous communication systems can enhance the security of the system. On the other hand, due to the abuse of anonymous communication technology, illegally constructed private hidden services are numerous and endless, bringing network security and social stability.Sorting out the current anonymous communication systems and technologies is helpful to understand the development status of anonymous communication technologies, and then use anonymous communication technologies more reasonably to build anonymous communication systems to achieve safe and reliable transmission of information.

Enterovirus infection continues to be a global health problem. The lack of specific drugs and broad-spectrum vaccines means an urgent need to develop effective strategies against enteroviruses. Host restrictive factors are a class of intrinsic host antiviral factors that have been broadly defined and investigated during HIV infections and have great significance for drug development and treatment design. In recent years, the essential role of host restrictive factors in regulating enteroviral infections has been gradually recognized and investigated. An increasing number of studies have shown that host-restrictive factors regulate multiple steps in the life cycle of enteroviruses. This mini-review discusses the restrictive factors against enteroviruses, their antiviral mechanism, and the arms race between them and enteroviruses. We also summarise the pathways that enteroviruses use to impair host antiviral signals. This mini-review characterizes the essential role of host restriction factors in enterovirus infections, which provides ideas and potential targets for antiviral drug design by regulating host restrictive factors. It also reveals potential future research on the interplay between host restrictive factors and enteroviruses.

Kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa) ‘Bruno’ is prone to accumulate ethanol rapidly after respiratory climacteric during storage at ambient conditions without stresses, which causes quality deterioration of the fruit associated with alcohol off-flavor. For maintaining the postharvest quality of kiwifruit ‘Bruno’, the effects of 1.0 µL • L−1 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) treatment on regulating the ethanol fermentation and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) shunt pathway associated with control of alcohol off-flavor were investigated during storage at room temperature (24 ± 1) °C for 27 days. The results showed that 1-MCP treatment significantly reduced the respiration rate, ethylene production, decay rate, ascorbic acid (AsA) loss, and delayed the decline in the firmness and titratable acidity (TA), and the increase in total soluble solid (TSS) in kiwifruit. Furthermore, 1-MCP treatment effectively inhibited the increases in contents of acetaldehyde, ethanol, and GABA along with the suppressed activities of key enzymes involved in ethanol fermentation and GABA shunt pathway, such as pyruvate decarboxylase (PDC), alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH), glutamate decarboxylase (GAD), and GABA-transaminase (GABA-T) in kiwifruit during storage. In conclusion, 1-MCP treatment efficiently regulated the ethanol fermentation and GABA shunt pathway by delaying the ripening process to avoid the alcohol off-flavor development, thereby contributed to maintaining the quality of the kiwifruit.

This article analyzes the development status of oil layers in Zone N, and based on the principles of layer combination in other injected blocks in Zone X, compares the development status of oil layers in Block M, and formulates two sets of layer combination plans for tertiary oil recovery in Block N. By comparing and optimizing the two sets of layer combination plans, the final decision is made to conform to the combination plan for tertiary oil recovery in Block N.

In order to solve the problem of underwater image quality degradation in the process of ship navigation，the image contrast enhancement technology and image enhancement algorithm based on polarization imaging were studied. In this technique, different angle fusion images are decomposed into multi-scale Pyramid image sequences based on polarization information. Gaussian convolution and Laplacian Pyramid algorithm are used for image fusion. Compared with the wavelet transform image fusion algorithm, it can be concluded that the SNR and SSIM values of underwater images are improved obviously. Experiments show that with attenuation coefficient of 2.1, the underwater imaging distance of the underwater polarization system reaches 6 m in the seawater environment, can clearly identify the objects and their characteristics in the water, and the system operates stably.

Objective To investigate the regulation mechanism of follistatin-like protein 1 (FSTL1) in cervical cancer by gene chip technology to analyze the changes of downstream genes and signaling pathways of FSTL1. Methods The differentially-expressed genes were screened by gene chip technology in HeLa cells transfected with FSTL1. The differentially-expressed genes and regulation mechanism of FSTL1 in cervical cancer were found by bioinformatics analysis. The relative expression of 29 differentially-expressed genes were verified by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). Results Compared with the negative control group, there were 881 differentially-expressed genes in the experimental group. These differentially-expressed genes mainly enriched in the biological processes of transcription regulation, cell proliferation, apoptosis and adhesion, as well as transcription misregulation of cancer, MAPK and P53 signal pathway. RT-qPCR results showed that FSTL1 up-regulated the relevant factors of PI3K/AKT/Bax/Bcl-2 and P53 signaling pathway, which was basically consistent with the results of gene chip. Conclusion The differentially-expressed genes of FSTL1 enrich in the biological processes of transcription regulation, cell proliferation, apoptosis and adhesion and may participate in the occurrence and development of cervical cancer by regulating PI3K/AKT/Bax/Bcl-2 and P53 signaling pathways.

With the rapid development of information technology and biomedical engineering, people can get more and more information. At the same time, they begin to study how to apply the advanced technology in biomedical information. The main research of this paper is to optimize the machine learning method by particle swarm optimization (PSO) and apply it in the classification of biomedical data. In order to improve the performance of the classification model, we compared the different inertia weight strategies and mutation strategies and their combinations with PSO, and obtained the best inertia weight strategy without mutation, the best mutation strategy without inertia weight and the best combination of the two. Then, we used the three PSO algorithms to optimize the parameters of support vector machine in the classification of biomedical data. We found that the PSO algorithm with the combination of inertia weight and mutation strategy and the inertia weight strategy that we proposed could improve the classification accuracy. This study has an important reference value for the prediction of clinical diseases.

The microbiota colonized in the human body has a symbiotic relationship with human body and forms a different microecosystem, which affects human immunity, metabolism, endocrine, and other physiological processes. The imbalance of microbiota is usually linked to the aberrant immune responses and inflammation, which eventually promotes the occurrence and development of respiratory diseases. Patients with chronic respiratory diseases, including asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, often have alteration of the composition and function of intestinal and lung microbiota. Gut microbiota affects respiratory immunity and barrier function through the lung-gut microbiota, resulting in altered prognosis of chronic respiratory diseases. In turn, lung dysbiosis promotes aggravation of lung diseases and causes intestinal dysfunction through persistent activation of lymphoid cells in the body. Recent advances in next-generation sequencing technology have disclosed the pivotal roles of lung-gut microbiota in the pathogenesis of chronic respiratory diseases. This review focuses on the association between the gut-lung dysbiosis and respiratory diseases pathogenesis. In addition, potential therapeutic modalities, such as probiotics and fecal microbiota transplantation, are also evaluated for the prevention of chronic respiratory diseases.
