Abstract

This report presents a framework called Segment And Track Anything (SAMTrack) that allows users to precisely and effectively segment and track any object in a video. Additionally, SAM-Track employs multimodal interaction methods that enable users to select multiple objects in videos for tracking, corresponding to their specific requirements. These interaction methods comprise click, stroke, and text, each possessing unique benefits and capable of being employed in combination. As a result, SAM-Track can be used across an array of fields, ranging from drone technology, autonomous driving, medical imaging, augmented reality, to biological analysis. SAM-Track amalgamates Segment Anything Model (SAM), an interactive key-frame segmentation model, with our proposed AOT-based tracking model (DeAOT), which secured 1st place in four tracks of the VOT 2022 challenge, to facilitate object tracking in video. In addition, SAM-Track incorporates Grounding-DINO, which enables the framework to support text-based interaction. We have demonstrated the remarkable capabilities of SAM-Track on DAVIS-2016 Val (92.0%), DAVIS-2017 Test (79.2%)and its practicability in diverse applications. 14. Electron transport properties of the transition metal dichalcogenides composite WX2-MoX2 (X≡S, Se, Te) nanowires under the external strain.

Abstract

We have investigated the electronic structure and transport properties of the transition metal dichalcogenides composite WX2-MoX2 (X≡S, Se, Te) nanowires under the external strain, in the method of the first-principles calculation combining the Density functional theory (DFT) and the Non-equilibrium Green's function (NEGF). First, we have designed the two terminal electron transport devices based on the stable transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) WX2-MoX2 (X≡S, Se, Te) composite nanowires for the first time. Second, the electronic structure and transport properties of the WS2-MoS2 composite nanowire have been demonstrated to be more sensitive to the external strain when compared to that of the composite WSe2/Te2-MoSe2/Te2 nanowires, the external compressive strain may significantly enchance the differential negative resistance (DNR) effect of the WSe2-MoSe2 composite nanowire based device, while the stretch strain should induce the interesting DNR in the WTe2-MoTe2 composite nanowire device. Finally, the obtained results have been physically explained from the integral area of the transmission coefficient in the bias voltage window, and may be of importance in the design of the nanoelectronic devices based on transition metal dichalcogenides composites. The current–voltage characteristic curves of the two terminal a WS2-MoS2, b WSe2-MoSe2, and c WTe2-MoTe2 composite nanowires under the strain of – 7–7%. The pentagram marked (black) solid line indicates the unstrained case, the solid and hollow circle marked (red) dashed lines indicate the 3% and − 3% strain case, the solid and hollow squares marked (blue) dashed-dot lines denote the 5% and − 5% strain case, while the solid and hollow triangles marked (purple) dotted lines illustrate the 7% and − 7% strain case, respectively. The current of the unstrained WS2-MoS2 composite nanowire device is nearly 0 in the bias range of [− 0.2 V, + 0.2 V] while that should decrease with the increase of the bias voltage in the range of [+ 0.8 V, + 1.0 V], the system behaves an interesting negative differential resistance (NDR) effect. Additionally, the device behaves typical semiconducting feature in the whole bias voltage range under the − 3% compressed strain, while the device current should decrease with the increase of the bias voltage at the regime of [± 0.4 V, ± 0.6 V] and [± 0.8 V, ± 1.0 V], respectively, under the 3% stretched strain. The device should behave significant NDR effect in the bias voltage of [± 0.6 V, ± 0.8 V] under the 5% stretched strain, while one observes the NDR effect at bias voltage range of [− 0.8 V, − 1.0 V], [− 0.4 V, − 0.6 V] and [+ 0.4 V, + 1.0 V], respectively, under the 7% stretched strain. Furthermore, as demonstrated in (b), the current–voltage characteristics curve of the two terminal WSe2-MoSe2 composite nanowires electron device under the strain of – 7–7% behaves typical metallic features. The external strain should significantly enhance the NDR effect of the WSe2-MoSe2 composite nanowires electron device, especially in the compressed – 3– − 7% strain cases. Finally, as illustrated in (c), the current–voltage curve of the two terminal WTe2-MoTe2 composite nanowires electron device under the strain of – 7–7% presents the typical semiconducting features. The observed NDR effect of the composite nanowire devices has been physically explained from the transmission spectra and the integral area of the transmission coefficient in the bias voltage window. 18. Optimizing membrane degassing with Hyflon AD 40L modified polypropylene hollow fiber and pre-filling techniques

Abstract

This paper conducts a comparative analysis of the anti-wetting properties and degassing performance of both homemade and commercial membranes. Additionally, it introduces a unique approach for hydrophobic modification of high-flux membranes. The study involved the utilization of Hyflon AD40L for multiple coatings on the surface of polypropylene (PP) hollow fiber membranes. Several variables, including modification solution concentration, temperature, coating duration, number of coating cycles, polymer type, and the choice and concentration of the pore-blocking agent, were systematically investigated to establish the optimal modification process. Characterization of the modified membrane and degassing experiments revealed significant improvements. Specifically, the contact angle increased from 95.5° to 113.1°, while the trans-membrane differential pressure surged from 10.7 kPa to 154.6 kPa, marking a remarkable 14.4-fold enhancement. This enhancement is attributed to the improved anti-wetting capabilities of the modified membrane. In the degassing experiments, the modified membrane-based module demonstrated an impressive 95.0% dissolved oxygen removal rate, with a corresponding mass transfer coefficient reaching 18.01×10–3m·h–1. These results underscore the substantial potential of the Hyflon AD40L/PP membrane for applications in membrane degassing.

19. Fabrication of poly(vinylidene fluoride) membrane viathermally induced phase separation using ionic liquid as green diluent

Abstract

Ionic liquid (IL), 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([BMIM]PF6) as a new and environmentally friendly diluent was introduced to prepare poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) membranes viathermally induced phase separation (TIPS). Phase diagram of PVDF/[BMIM]PF6 was measured. The effects of polymer concentration and quenching temperature on the morphologies, properties, and performances of the PVDF membranes were investigated. When the polymer concentration was 15 wt%, the pure water flux of the fabricated membrane was up to nearly 2000 L·m−2·h−1, along with adequate mechanical strength. With the increasing of PVDF concentration and quenching temperature, mean pore size and water permeability of the membrane decreased. SEM results showed that PVDF membranes manufactured by ionic liquid (BMImPF6) presented spherulite structure. And the PVDF membranes were represented as β phase by XRD and FTIR characterization. It provides a new way to prepare PVDF membranes with piezoelectric properties.
