Hyperkeratotic flexural erythema (HKFE) is an uncommon differential diagnosis for intertriginous eruptions.1 Diagnosis is made clinically with a characteristic appearance of erythematous, scaly, peripherally advancing skin lesions arising from flexural areas. The clinical presentation was consistent with HKFE, and the patient commenced on amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 875/125 mg twice-daily, petrolatum:liquid paraffin(50:50) emollient, coconut oil and cessation of Canesten wash.
