Objective To explore the concept of burnout among nurses. Through this concept analysis would expect in assisting hospital management departments in establishing supportive programmes to manage burnout of nurses. Method Walker and Avant's framework is adopted for the concept analysis of burnout. Results Burnout is a syndrome that can happen among helping professions which characterized as emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment. The antecedents of burnout are cognitive-competence, role overload, role conflict, lack of social support, and rewards. On the other hand, the consequences of burnout could be both personal and organizational, such as sub-clinical issues, behavioral change, absenteeism, and poor quality of care. Conclusion The analysis of burnout on its attributes, together with antecedents and consequences (Appendix A) and presenting with case study, it may help the nurse to gain a better understanding of nurse burnout and build coping strategies.

The clinical use of placebo that involves some ethical issues has led to much controversy. From the standpoint of both supporters and opponents, this article discusses this topic from three ethical principles such as beneficence, justice, and autonomy and also gives the recommendations. Finally, the moral dilemma caused by the different views between nurses and doctors in clinical practice is discussed.

The prognosis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is poor despite diagnostic progress and new chemotherapeutic regimens. Constitutive activation of NF-κB is frequently observed in PDAC. In this study, we found that YEATS2, a scaffolding protein of ATAC complex, was highly expressed in human PDAC. Depletion of YEATS2 reduced the growth, survival, and tumorigenesis of PDAC cells. The binding of YEATS2 is crucial for maintaining TAK1 activation and NF-κB transcriptional activity. Of importance, our results reveal that YEATS2 promotes NF-κB transcriptional activity through modulating TAK1 abundance and directly interacting with NF-κB as a co-transcriptional factor.

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is an inflammatory disorder that is characterized by chronic activation of the hepatic inflammatory response and subsequent liver damage. The regulation of macrophage polarization in liver is closely related to the progression of NASH. The orphan nuclear receptor retinoic-acid-related orphan receptor α (RORα) and Krüppel-like factor 4 (KLF4) are key regulators which promote hepatic macrophages toward M2 phenotype and protect against NASH in mice. Nobiletin (NOB), a natural polymethoxylated flavone, is previously reported as a RORα regulator in diet-induced obese mice. However, it is still unclear whether NOB has the protective effect on NASH. In this study, we investigated the role of NOB in NASH using a methionine and choline deficient (MCD)-induced NASH mouse model. Our results showed that NOB ameliorated hepatic damage and fibrosis in MCD fed mice. NOB treatment reduced the infiltration of macrophages and neutrophils in the liver in MCD-fed mice. Of importance, NOB significantly increased the proportion of M2 macrophages and the expression of anti-inflammatory factors in vivo and in vitro. Meanwhile, NOB also decreased the population of M1 macrophages and the expression of proinflammatory cytokines. Mechanistically, NOB elevated KLF4 expression in macrophages. Inhibition of KLF4 abolished NOB regulated macrophage polarization. Furthermore, the regulation of NOB in KLF4 expression was dependent on RORα.

For researching principle and production line state of steam curing of composite wallboard, the art have been conducted through actual investigation and field test. Based on the influence of steam curing on the strength of high performance concrete, durability and volume stability, put forward suggestions of steam curing system; Several problems have been raised for steam curing in the actual production, then some correlative improve measurements are given. Provide the reference for the production and development of the residential part in our country.

Take composite wallboard of residential parts as object of study, use investigation and theoretical calculation to check unfavorable conditions of Mold-unloading-lifting and lifting-transportation in industrial production. mold-unloading coefficient and dynamic coefficient value are researched according to summarize domestic and foreign standard, and give out suggested dynamic coefficient values of construction checking of lifting-transportation for composite wallboard. It can provide reference of production and development of residential parts.

For studying the influence of eccentricity e on autoclaved fly ash solid and perforated brick masonry. Adopted method is that eccentric compression tests were conducted on 24 autoclaved fly ash solid brick masonry samples and 24 autoclaved fly ash perforated brick masonry samples. The damage patterns and test results are comparative analyzed. The experimental results indicate that the strain distribution in section accord with plane section assumption and the eccentric compressive capacity decreases proportionally as e increases. In conclusion, The limit value of eccentricity e are given.

To study the influence of slenderness on the compressive bearing capacity of autoclaved fly ash perforated brick masonry long columns and provide experimental evidences for making corresponding technical code, compression tests were conducted on 9 autoclaved fly ash perforated brick masonrys long columns of different slenderness. The damage patterns and compression performance are analyzed. The experimental results indicate that compressive capacity decreases proportionally as slenderness increases and the proposed formula of axial compressive bearing capacity for autoclaved fly ash perforated brick masonry columns is given. The nonlinear FEA program ANSYS is also adopted to simulate the behaviors of masonry columns. By comparing results find that the simulated results agree well with the test ones, the rationality and applicability of the model are verified.

Two computer models of concrete frame with staircase were made and the seismic-performance of the models in elastic-phase was calculated by adopting base shear method, spectrum analysis by ETABS. The results show that including staircase into models will change the seismic performance of frame structure significantly. The paper proposes that the computer model with staircase and the response spectrum analysis should be used firstly in the seismic design of concrete frame with staircase.

A series of sol–gel derived lead lanthanum titanate (PLT) thin films with composition of (Pb 1− x La x )Ti 1− x /4 O 3 , where x =0.00 (pure PbTiO 3 ), 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25 and 0.28, on Si substrates are studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy. XRD patterns show that the films are polycrystalline. The tetragonality of the films is found to decrease with the increase of La concentration in the films. This indicates a gradual change from tetragonal to cubic structure as La concentration increases. Raman spectroscopy shows extreme sensitivity to La dopant in the films. The frequencies of Raman modes for the films are found to shift clearly to low wavenumbers with increasing La concentration. This phenomenon is similar to the shift of Raman mode frequencies in PbTiO 3 thin films when sample temperature increases, approaching the Curie temperature. Raman spectroscopy measurements are also carried out on PLT thin films with the same La concentration but annealed at different temperatures. Results are compared with earlier reports on PLT or pure PbTiO 3 thin films.

The S K-shell near-edge x-ray absorption fine structure spectra of solid CS2 have been calculated by means of the multiple-scattering cluster method. The results show the existence of two kinds of absorption spectra which correspond to single-bond (C-S) and double-bond (C=S), respectively, and their superposition of the two spectra fits the experimental spectrum well. Our calculation supports the zigzag chain model of solid CS2 with C-C distance of 3.60±0.01A.
