- Abstract
We report a rare case of necrotizing fasciitis of the abdominal wall caused by Hungatella effluvii and Streptococcus constellatus. Necrotizing fasciitis has high mortality, so early diagnosis and aggressive treatment are essential for good clinical outcome. Identification of the microbial contribution to these infections is crucial for targeted antibiotic treatment., Competing Interests: Declaration of interests The authors declare that they have no known competing financial interests or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in this paper., (Copyright © 2021 Elsevier Ltd.
