This study comprehensively and systematically reviews and integrates the prior literature on the role of tourists' psychographic profiles and elucidates the antecedents, consequences, and intervening factors influencing tourist destination selection and satisfaction. The Dimensions Research Database was used to search for relevant studies. A co-word analysis of 465 articles revealed three significant clusters of keywords, highlighting key themes in tourist psychographics and destination selection. Results indicate that tourist psychographic attributes (i.e. Demographics, motivation, values, attitude, and interest) influence destination image formation and tourist satisfaction. The study offers the Tourist Psychographics-Destination Image-Satisfaction Model (TPDIS Model), a comprehensive conceptual model, as further research agenda for exploring destination-specific tourist profiling and destination image perception to achieve tourism satisfaction. SALT mining ,RURAL tourism ,BIBLIOMETRICS ,FOOD preservation ,RURAL development - Abstract
Since ancient times, people have used salt for cooking and preserving food, its healing benefits, and as a means of payment. Therefore, the first settlements were located near water, food, and preferably salt, as prerequisites to further social and economic development. Naturally, the social development, the healing properties of salt, and the beauty of some salt landscapes have led to the development of tourism as an essential asset for rural communities. This paper aims to investigate the research focusing on the use of salt resources in tourism and to see if the exploitation of salt landscapes is an actual research topic linked to rural development. The study's primary objectives are to investigate the scientific output in the tourism field, the main drivers in scientific production, and any connection between the importance of salt landscapes in tourism and sustainable rural development. The article represents a bibliometric analysis of 437 scientific articles published in prestigious journals indexed in the Web of Science until November 2023. The results emphasised a need for more research on using salt landscapes and resources in tourism as a central topic, as most identified studies focus on proposing models for the sustainable development of former salt mines and ecosystem restoration using tourism activity. Since many salt mining operations have been closed and the inhabitants of the neighbouring rural localities have been left without the related income, the results of this research are helpful for specialists in the field and for decision-makers to have a clear view of the development trends of areas rich in salt resources for tourism purposes. - Abstract
Gender equity remains a challenge both globally and within academia, despite recent efforts to change it. Moreover, beyond the authors' productivity, studies have reported that women often achieve lower scientific impact than their peers. To shed light on this complex relationship between the scientific impact and the themes addressed, this study conducts a comprehensive analysis of Library and Information Science field from 2007 to 2022 in four consecutive slides, identifying the principal themes covered in the field, analyzing the relative gender contribution rate, employing strategic diagrams, and assessing impact metrics, such as mean normalized citation score, 1% of most cited papers, and H-Classic. We employed science mapping analysis to explore a core of 45,650 documents from the Web of Science, with gender identification in 94.25% of cases. Our findings revealed a slight increase in the percentage of women authors within the field across the time, and a decline during the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating consistency in the themes addressed over the years. Women were overrepresented in the classic themes of LIS, human, and health-related fields, with these themes displaying lower performance rates. In contrast, men authors were overrepresented in STEM-related fields and innovation themes, associated with higher metric values. Our findings underlined the potential association between research themes and scientific performance, and provide societal and structural explanations for these observations. This study contributes valuable insights into the relationship between research themes and the scientific impact achieved by researchers in LIS, highlighting the importance of encouraging women's participation in diverse knowledge domains and challenging prevailing stereotypes within academic and professional spheres. This study offers a comprehensive overview of the literature on policy advisory systems (PAS), motivated by its significance, growing interest in the field among policy scholars, and the substantial body of recent research published recently. The study conducted a quantitative bibliometric analysis of 62 articles on PAS published between 1993 and 2022, using data extracted from the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The analysis included performance analysis, collaboration analysis, and science mapping (co‐citation and co‐word analysis). The dataset comprises articles published in 29 different journals, with 17.2% of these journals publishing three or more articles on PAS. Of the 80 authors in the dataset, 78.8% had only one publication. Over the past 5 years, there has been a 69% increase in the production of research on PAS, with the majority of output coming from Canada, Australia, Germany, and the Netherlands. The intellectual structure of the field was examined through co‐citation analysis, revealing two main clusters named dynamics of PAS and Policy Advice & Policy Analysts' Role. The former focuses on the variations and dynamics of PAS, while the latter is more concerned with the nature of policy advice and the role of policy analysts. The co‐word analysis identified the most relevant issues linked with PAS, including policy advice, externalization, politicization, and policy capacity. The study has also provided operationalization of the concept with the support of empirical evidence and categorized it into internal and external PAS. Externalization is the dominant trend in Anglophone countries, while public service in Europe and Canada has been the focus of internal PAS research. The study identifies gaps in the literature and calls for further research on the application of PAS in the Global South, the demand for policy advice, and comparative analysis of PAS across different contexts and dimensions. - Abstract
Corporate entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial orientation are widely studied concepts in the field of entrepreneurship related to the ability of established firms to innovate and adapt to change. The evolution of the literature has taken place in different areas of knowledge and disciplines, giving rise to the undifferentiated use of these terms, thus limiting the possibilities of generalizing the results. For this reason, several authors have established the need to further conceptualize these terms and the existing relationships between different constructs in order to consolidate and advance knowledge. The literature review shows that both concepts are closely interrelated and that, while corporate entrepreneurship has been used as a construct focused on the activities carried out by the firm resulting in innovation, business creation or renewal, entrepreneurial orientation has been approached as a behavior that characterizes the firm that has entrepreneurial initiative based on the exhibition of a predisposition towards innovation, risk taking, and proactivity. The aim of this study is to analyze the evolution of the thematic areas of interest of both constructs through the use of the most frequent keywords to characterize and differentiate both concepts. Through the comparative bibliometric analysis of the keywords, we aim to answer the question are the two concepts really the same, or if they are differentiated parts of the same phenomenon, and to contribute to the reduction of the dispersion generated in the attention of researchers in order to advance in the strengthening of their conceptual structure. This paper aims to examine the intellectual structure of sustainable business development studies and to gain an in-depth perspective on its future development. To achieve the research objectives, we applied methods of bibliometric analysis (WoS tools, co-citation analysis, co-word analysis, and bibliographic coupling) to the dataset extracted from the Web of Science. The main research domains of the researched field were distinguished based on the cluster interpretation. Specifically, both co-word analysis and bibliographic coupling demonstrated the overlap between the two research domains: "Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship" and "Corporate Social Responsibility and Stakeholder Theory," while the "Sustainable Development: Theoretical Foundations of the Research" cluster obtained via bibliographic coupling partially converged with the "Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship" cluster received from the co-word analysis. However, the clusters "Company Performance and Innovations" extracted from co-word analysis and "Competitive Analysis and Sustainable Development" obtained from bibliographic coupling did not coincide. Furthermore, we concluded that over the last 40 years, sustainable business development studies have gone through the process of structuring induced by global changes in business and the economy. Objective: Scientific productions in the field of Mahdism have grown in the last two decades and due to its religious and political dimension in the region, conceptual challenges have been registered. As a result, knowing the contexts, priorities and analysis of the knowledge of the domain seems necessary. The purpose of this study is to investigate the knowledge structure in Mahdism research using co-word analysis. Methods: This research is applied in terms of purpose. In order to analyze the concept of knowledge in the field of Mahdism research, a combination of scientometric methods, information clustering and network analysis have been used. The research tools include scientometric software such as: "Ravar_matrix, Ucinet, NetDraw, and Vosviewer”. The research community includes all the articles in the field of Mahdism in domestic magazines from the databases of " Noormags, Magiran, and SID" from the beginning to October 2023. Results: The findings indicate that in the last two decades, there has been a significant growth in the research studies of Mahdism. Also, many authors from the Alimah Hoza and University have contributed to its scientific productions. In this research, it was found that the authors follow the model of an authorship. Collaboration in the form of co-authorship is less involved. Descriptive findings about the journals of this field showed that 5 journals are considered core journals in this field. The findings showed the field of Mahdavi studies in other fields of studies such as: social sciences, sociology, historical and political sciences, education and philosophy, art and literature interdisciplinary relations. The results of co-word analysis showed that more than 1341 concepts or keywords were mentioned and the concepts of "The Holy Mehdi, the waiting, appearance, doctrines of Mahdism, Extremist, false claimants" had the highest frequency among all concepts. Also, the conceptual pairs " the waiting - The Holy Mehdi, Islamic revolution-the waiting, The Holy Mehdi - last days, future study- Mahdism research, doctrine of Mahdoit- appearance " had the most co-occurrences. In addition, the concepts of "false claimants, Salafism, globalization, denial of Mahdism", social standards and culture of Mahdism were identified as emerging concepts in the research. The results related to clustering showed that the knowledge of this field in Iran consists of 21 main clusters. The first to third clusters include "the influence of the Islamic Revolution on Mahdism, traditions and hadiths of Mahdism, social challenges of Mahdism" respectively, have the most concepts. The analysis of the maps indicates that the concepts of this field have many conceptual relationships with each other, and the concentration percentage of the network is 0.5, which is average in terms of density. Conclusion: The results indicate that the volume of articles in this field of knowledge in Persian language is increasing day by day, and in terms of the number of researchers, it is a rich field. But the cooperation of authors is weak, and the number of magazines that publish articles in the field of Mahdism is also small. Many concepts have been proposed in this field, but a large percentage of them have been proposed only once in this field. The results of clustering indicate that the concepts formed in the field of Mahdavi studies will provide a suitable field for qualitative and theoretical research studies. In general, this research showed a big picture of concepts, conceptual clusters and relationships of concepts in the articles produced in the field of Mahdism.

Smartphone addiction has been widely recognized as a notable global public health issue. Researchers have already conducted numerous researches to look into various aspects of smartphone addiction such as risk/protective factors, negative consequences, prevalence, and intervention strategies. Despite the existence of these researches, they remain fragmented in the existing literature, which make it challenging for researchers to have an integrative view of smartphone addiction literature. Addressing this research gap, this study conducts bibliometric analysis on the 924 publications extracted from Scopus. More specifically, through the use of various performance indicators (e.g., total number of citations/publications and citation per publication), this study has identified the publication trend, most influential/productive journals, authors, and publications. Furthermore, through co-word analysis conducted on the title and abstract of publications, this study has also identified and briefly elaborated on the research themes in the existing literature of smartphone addiction (i.e., protective/risk factors, neurobiological mechanisms, and intervention; prevalence and negative consequences; scale development and psychometric properties). Taken together, this study provides researchers especially those new to the field of smartphone addiction a one-stop platform to gain an aggregative view of smartphone addiction literature. Plain language summary: With the aim to provide researchers an integrative view of smartphone addiction literature, 924 publications related to smartphone addiction were extracted from Scopus and analyzed using bibliometric approach. More specifically, through examining the historical trajectory of publication quantity in the field of smartphone addiction, this study has identified the publication trend. It has found that the number of publications has been increasing in the period of 2011 to 2022 and most of the articles (approximately 67%) were published in the period between 2020 and 2022. These have reflected that smartphone addiction is a relatively new and emerging field of research that has recently started to gain popularity, which is expected to stay relevant and gain more and more attention from academic community in the coming years. Furthermore, with the use of various performance indicators (e.g., total number of citations/publications and citation per publication), this study has identified (1) most influential/productive journals, (2) most influential/productive authors, and (3) most influential publications in the existing literature of smartphone addiction, which have respectively revealed (1) the journals that can be targeted for effective search of publications related to smartphone addiction and/or submission of research output related to smartphone addiction, (2) the prominent/established authors that can be targeted for collaboration and/or trustworthy advice in smartphone addiction research, and (3) the publications that can serve as good starting points for researchers or prospective researchers to quickly pick up the knowledge needed to do smartphone addiction research. Furthermore, through co-word analysis conducted on the title and abstract of publications, this study has also identified and briefly elaborated on the research themes in the existing literature of smartphone addiction (i.e., protective/risk factors, neurobiological mechanisms, and intervention; prevalence and negative consequences; scale development and psychometric properties), which has provided an overview of what researchers have been doing in the existing literature of smartphone addiction. Taken together, this study provides researchers especially those new to the field of smartphone addiction a one-stop platform to gain an aggregative view of smartphone addiction literature. SCIENTIFIC knowledge ,CONCEPTUAL structures ,DATABASES ,DATA visualization ,SCIENTIFIC method - Abstract
In this research, the conceptual dimensions of research in the field of scientific authority were analyzed with the aim of analysis of the conceptual structure of knowledge in this field in Iran. In order to achieve this goal, the main questions is: What is the conceptual structure of “scientific authority” knowledge in Iran based on existing scientific documents? In this research, the technique of co-word analysis, information clustering and social network analysis were used. The study population of this research includes all scientific documents including Persian articles, books, theses and research projects from the beginning to January 2023. Research tools include software in the field of scientometrics such as Ravar_matrix, Ucinet, NetDraw, and VOSviewer. To collect data from databases such as Noormags Database, Magiran Database, Magiran, ISC Database and SID Database, List of National and University Libraries, GANJ Database, other specific indexes, search engines such as Google, etc. were used. To retrieve documents related to scientific authority, from all search strategies including advanced, simple and review, and sometimes semi-automatic text mining with keywords “scientific authority”, “scientific originality”, “scientific leadership”, “academic leadership”, “scientific reviewer”, and “university professors” were used to extract related scientific documents. The results related to co-lexical analysis showed that more than 241 concepts or keywords were mentioned in this field and the concepts of “scientific authority” in particular with the highest frequency, Ahl al-Bayt, Holy Qur’an, gaining or achieving authority, University of Medical Sciences, University “Leadership perspective and higher education” have had the most frequency among all concepts. Also, 30 concepts such as “indigenization of science”, “scientific dynamism”, “scientific vitality”, “scientific capital”, “scientific authority”, “civilization-building research”, “scientific authority”, “scientism”, “scientific flow”, “promotion chair”, “frontiers of knowledge”, “social innovation”, “scientific heritage”, “leaders of science” were identified as emerging concepts in the researches. The results related to clustering showed that the knowledge of this field in Iran consists of 13 main clusters. Drawing conceptual maps of the field of knowledge of scientific authority showed that the formed network of concepts has discontinuity and its concepts are less connected with each other. Considering that its density is around 0.0268, it cannot be said that its conceptual network is dense. Network density is a number that is in the range between one and zero. The closer the network density score is to one, it indicates more density and the closer to zero, it indicates the laxity and disconnection of the network. According to the density of the network, it can be concluded that the number of 20 to 30 concepts has caused cohesion in a part of the conceptual network of this field. In this regard, the density map visualized this situation well and showed where the hot spots in the field of scientific authority are concentrated in the network and in the vicinity of what concepts. The term scientific authority was first proposed by the Supreme Leader and after that it was explained many times and various researchers have defined, interpreted and explained the concept of scientific authority. This research was done on the basis of what has been written so far about the scientific authority of research and writing, not what it should be. In this study, an attempt was made to express the concepts from the point of view of information visualization technology, and by drawing conceptual maps, their relationships were depicted. Surely, readers and those interested in this field can find more conceptual relationships governing the field. This research is done for the first time with this method. Also, no research has been done with this method in the field of scientific authority so far. Therefore, matching the findings with some of the previous results of this research are not equivalent. Therefore, the findings were also different from them. Perhaps it can be claimed that these findings were the result of the activities of Iranian researchers in the field of scientific authority from the time it was raised by the Supreme Leader in 2014 until today. This research provided a conceptual macro picture of the field of scientific authority. It is hoped that officials, curators and researchers who work for the development of this field will use the results of this research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Significant impacts of heavy work investment on employee wellbeing and organizational performance have prompted its increasing importance as a research topic. The findings about good or evil of these repercussions are nonetheless inconclusive. The intersection of Heavy Work Investment construct with gender has not been explicitly addressed by previous literature review and research. Besides, the relevance of flexibility for women, as one of the key factors for successful work-family balance management, still remains to be analyzed. Methods: A literature review on Heavy Work Investment was conducted using the SPAR-4-SLR protocol, wherein 83 articles were selected from a pool of 208 previously identified works. Bibliometric and content analysis techniques were employed, including co-word analysis, to evaluate research production, impact, and trends in the gender perspective within Heavy Work Investment. Results: As a result, a strategic diagram illustrates thematic topics, providing a clear understanding of the field's structure and evolution. Six thematic groups were identified, around work-family conflict as the central theme. Discussion: The explicit consideration of a gender perspective in literature involves nuanced differences regarding the conclusions of studies with a broader focus. First, the emerging prominence of studies on China and Japan becomes clear with gender as the specific focus of the review, aiming to clarify the experiences women face in more traditional societies with a more decisive division of roles. Second, there is a shift in interest regarding the analysis of Job Demands and Job Resources. Despite the apparent decline in interest in the former, the focus in gender literature clearly shifts toward the side of Job Resources, showing potential for the future. It could be understood that in a context of talent war and employee retention efforts, priority is given to better understanding of facilitating individual and organizational factors for work-life balance, especially for women. Future research areas are identified, including gender differences in organizational support and the impact of flexible work on the work-life balance, providing valuable insights for academia, practitioners, and organizations. The need for more comprehensive cross-cultural and gender research is also made clear. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Service failure and recovery (SFR) is a well-established area of research that has made considerable progress over the past 30 years. In this study, we used a combination of text mining, co-word analysis, and social network analysis (SNA) to explore the relationships among keywords in SFR research. We analyzed a dataset of 533 SFR articles published between 1990 and 2020, extracting the most frequently used keywords using text-mining techniques. These keywords were then subjected to co-word analysis and SNA to understand the development of themes and topics in SFR research. By examining changes in network centrality measures, we gained insights into the evolution of research in this field. Furthermore, by identifying gaps or disconnections in the keyword networks, we identified future research opportunities related to the impact of service recovery strategies on customer reactions, employee reactions, and firm outcomes, as well as the relationship between customer and employee responses. The scientific literature related to human resource management (HRM) and sustainability has increased since 2015, coinciding with the establishment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This article combines a bibliometric approach, using VOSviewer and SciMat software, with a systematic literature review to assess and identify the scientific production in this domain. During the period studied (1996–2023), the results reveal the role of HR in achieving corporate sustainability but also the responsibility of companies to apply sustainable principles to HRM practices. Based on the findings and the less developed issues related to the SDGs and HRM a model of research proposals is provided, focusing on mental health (SDG 3), gender equality (SDG 5), collaboration towards climate action and responsible production and consumption (SDGs 12 & 13), and more emphasis on SDG 1 regarding the social sustainability of organisations. Background: Over the past 36 years, the extraction of bioactive compounds from patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) using Microwave-Assisted Hydrodistillation has garnered increasing interest, particularly in China. This research explored various applications, including pharmaceuticals, anti-inflammatory agents, cosmetics, and skincare technologies. This study aimed to identify knowledge gaps, guide research efforts, foster collaboration, and enhance our understanding of the acquisition of bioactive compounds from patchouli. Additionally, this study sought to address the scarcity of studies investigating the correlation between bioactive compounds extracted through Microwave-Assisted Hydrodistillation and their biological activities. Study Design: This study analyzed literature on Microwave-Assisted Hydrodistillation for extracting bioactive compounds from patchouli. It explored the connections between authors, countries, and keywords and evaluated the field's output over time. This research also identified key authors, journals, and institutions, emphasizing the significance of the extraction of bioactive compounds from patchouli. Furthermore, it offered recommendations for future research directions Methods: This study used bibliometric analysis to identify past and present research topics quantitatively and objectively, with a comprehensive literature overview. The analysis involved statistical analysis of relevant scientific literature indices, a data matrix, and visualization of co-citation, coupling, cooperative analysis, and co-word analyses. The VOS viewer and R-biblioshiny were used as co-occurrence analysis software, particularly for keywords. The study also involved a systematic search strategy to identify relevant literature. Results: The bibliometric maps of the study comprised of 2,904 documents extracted from EBSCO, DIMENSION, SCOPUS, and PUBMED. These maps encompassed co-authorship analyses of authors and countries, co-occurrence analyses of author keywords, and thematic evolution. The dataset contains information from 1987 to 2023 and includes 51 documents from 44 journals and books. The annual growth rate of the documents was 0 % and the average age was 914 years. Each record had an average of 2039 citations and 363 references. These documents were associated with 141 keywords and 802 author keywords. A total of 243 authors contributed to these documents, with only 3 documents authored by a single individual. On an average, each document had 549 co-authors, and approximately 3.922 % of the co-authors had international affiliations. Conclusion: The study concludes that there are significant opportunities for researchers from various countries to collaborate on research into “patchouli secondary metabolites and their biological applications.” However, this study acknowledges the limitations of its specific set of keywords and suggests that alternative keywords can provide various insights. This study also highlights the need for further research in specific areas, particularly the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Africa, the USA, and Asia, which have shown fewer links and connections in the patchouli research field.

Technology roadmaps are essential for technology management, but current roadmaps that use text mining to build new processes are time-consuming and laborious. In particular, the identification of relationships between different layers of roadmaps mainly relies on experts. To remedy this problem, this study proposes a systematic and objective process for constructing a technology roadmap. First, by integrating the Stanford parser and a co-word analysis method, we develop a modified Stanford parser-based method to select two-word technological terms, which is suitably comprehensive and complete for building a technology roadmap. Second, we innovatively integrate patents, products, and keywords into the same matrix, thus generating an incidence matrix of products and technologies. Based on this matrix, products and technologies can be directly linked to construct a two-layer product technology roadmap without the assistance of experts. We recommend applying a technology lifecycle to estimate the development time of technologies on the technology roadmap timeline, which is an important but often ignored issue. Finally, we provide an example of cloud computing-related products to demonstrate how the proposed technology roadmap approach can provide managers with a competitive technology and product development strategy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Considering the importance of brand positioning for any business and the growing trend of research in this field, the necessity of conducting scientific studies is fully felt. A review of the subject literature and domestic and international research shows that no comprehensive study has been done on this issue. Considering the extent and influence of the field of brand positioning in most business research, the need for clarification is evident to reveal the current situation and future trends based on scientific techniques. To fill this existing deficiency, the present research seeks to answer the question: What is the scientific map of published studies in the field of brand positioning in the Scopus database? Based on this mapping, the study aims to analyze the network of concepts in this field and identify the most valuable areas. It addresses the topics within this field and assists researchers in brand positioning to explain the study process and policy-making in this field based on the identified influential areas. Methodology: The present research is a quantitative, applied, descriptive, and scientometric study based on the objective. The research employed co-word analysis and network analysis techniques. The statistical population comprised all scientific and specialized articles on brand positioning indexed in the Scopus citation database from 1975 to 2023. Initially, the term "brand positioning" was searched in the titles, abstracts, and keywords of the Scopus database. Subsequently, the search was refined to include only articles and reviews, followed by a selection of English language articles. Finally, 577 scientific and specialized articles on brand positioning were chosen for analysis. VOSviewer and Gephi software were utilized for visualizing and analyzing scientific maps of the 577 selected documents. The Scopus database was chosen due to its vast collection of 70 million reviewed research articles from over 5000 international publishers, ensuring relative uniformity. Findings: The research findings reveal that marketing, branding, brand image, brand management, and consumer behavior are the most common topics and keywords in the realm of brand positioning. According to the generated maps and utilizing the closeness centrality index, branding, competition, marketing, brand image, product design, and brand management emerge as the most crucial topics in information dissemination within the network. In essence, they represent categories with an interdisciplinary perspective in the domain of brand positioning. Conclusion: The present study is the first systematic quantitative analysis of brand positioning research in the Scopus citation database, which uses co-word analysis to map the scientific landscape of this field. This study addresses the gap in scientometric research in the literature, aiming to enhance the understanding of brand positioning research from its inception to the present. Research questions were formulated for this purpose and will be addressed in this article. This analysis can serve as a guide for future research in brand positioning. The results indicate an increasing trend in research over the years. The main topics identified in brand positioning research include branding, brand performance, brand social responsibility, destination branding, brand positioning, and brand origin. Through co-citation analysis, key authors in the brand positioning research community were identified, such as Keller, Aaker, Diamantopoulos, and Hayer. Given the significance of green branding (a primary keyword in the corporate social responsibility cluster), the rise in environmental risks, and the impact of green branding on brand sustainability, companies in our country should prioritize this area when establishing and implementing their brand.
