The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its sixth climate change report in early 2022. For the first time in thirty years, this report acknowledged colonial domination and global exploitation as drivers of the climate issue and contributors to the vulnerability of communities and groups. Colonialism, climate change, and women's vulnerability are rarely discussed in the available literature. A scoping review was done to determine how colonialism makes women more vulnerable to climate change and related disasters. The study examined when and how colonialism increases women's vulnerability in the Global North and South. Through the study, it was found that colonialism's effects vary by situation. Women are often more vulnerable as a result of racism and societal norms inherited from the colonial era. With the aid of this research summary, future studies will be able to lessen women's long-term vulnerability to disasters caused by climate change. Further, this study emphasizes the need to understand each area's social dynamics, which can make it hard for some communities to adapt to climate change. A postcolonial lens may help to comprehend these relationships and address individual susceptibility. A fairer and more climate-resilient society can be built by acknowledging colonialism's legacy and its impact on present-day vulnerabilities. Our individual psyches emerge out of the deeper levels of the unconscious and are derived from the collective, communal, and social experiences of humankind. These collective experiences provide at least [...], This qualitative study utilized semi-structured interviews to explore the lives of four Nuevomexicano men. The men discussed how their interactions with mental health practitioners reflected the colonial history of the geographic region. The history of Spanish and Anglo colonialism in Northern New Mexico provides a context to the present day encounters the men had with the providers. The study reveals how the men consciously and unconsciously have assumed the role of personal and cultural protectors of the Nuevomexicano culture in Northern New Mexico. Personal, cultural, and societal forces continue to recapitulate the historical trauma in the area. To grieve the historical trauma faced in the geographic region, men need a place where they do not feel the continued need to protect. Keywords cultural trauma, men, protection, New Mexico

Darwin's theories of natural selection and sexual selection are significant scientific achievements, although his understanding of race and gender was defined and limited by his own life circumstances and the sociohistorical context within which he worked. This article considers the ways in which race, gender, and culture were represented and explained by Darwin and the ways in which his observations and opinions on gender and race were taken up by others and, more often than not, misapplied. Whereas the challenge of race (for Darwin) was to demonstrate the fundamental similarity and, hence, the common origin, of human races, the challenge of gender (for Darwin) was to identify a mechanism that could account for differences between women and men that, to him, were obvious, fundamental, and significant. The article concludes by considering the implications of Darwin's views for contemporary scientific psychology.
