Abstract The cut method is a computational approach utilized to predict the fundamental activities of physicochemical properties of chemical networks, also called topological indices. The connection number is a new idea, that gives interesting and good results of the topological indices (TIs) and entropy measures (EMs) for structural representation of chemical compounds and networks. The physical density of chemical networks is characterized by these indices. In this paper, we determined the computational results for indices based on connection numbers for a two-dimensional lattice sheet of hydrogen-bonded boric acid. Boric acid, an inorganic compound, is not very harmful when applied to the skin or consumed. Finally, graphical and numerical comparisons of topological numbers including the number of borate hydrogen-bonded double lattice forms are also included in this study.

Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) are distinctive porous chemical materials comprised of metal ions and organic ligands to illustrate marvelous chemical stability, high surface area, distinctive morphology, and large pore volume. MOFs have great significance due to their versatile utilizations, such as purification and separation of various gases, environmental hazards, biocompatibility, toxicology, heterogeneous catalyst, and biomedical applications. These structures have attracted global attention of researchers due to their increasing utilizations in many areas of science. Freshly, zinc-based MOFs are becoming popular because of their versatile application in biomedical, i.e., drug delivery, biosensing, and cancer imaging. Topological indices (TIs), the graphs invariants or numerical graph descriptors, are useful in characterizing the topology of molecular structures and helpful in defining the psychochemical properties of these structures. This paper mainly highlights the comparison between two MOFs namely zinc oxide (ZnOx) and zinc silicate (ZnSl) networks via some multiplicative Zagreb connection indices (MZIs), namely modified first MZCI (1st MZCI) modified second MZCI (2nd MZCI), and modified third MZCI (3rd MZCI).

Background: An objective, comprehensive and scientific evaluation of emergency medical rescue capability (EMRC) is of great realistic significance in assisting the health administrative department to grasp the overall response capability of all emergency medical rescue teams, enabling each team to have a full understanding of its own strengths and weakness and improve itself accordingly. At present, the research on the evaluation of EMRC in Hazardous Chemicals Accidents (HCA) is not systematic and in-depth, and the existing research results also have some shortcomings, such as, the lack of strong theoretical support for the evaluation index system, the relatively single function of evaluation methods, and so on. Objectives: The objective of this article is to research the evaluation index system and a new evaluation method of EMRC in HCA to overcome the above shortcomings. Methods: It establishes an emergency medical rescue capability model by employing the competency model and then constructs the evaluation index system on the basis of the analysis of all the factors of emergency medical rescue capability in hazardous chemical accidents and sets up an evaluation model based on the theory of connection numbers and partial connection numbers. It determines the competence ranking of several emergency medical rescue teams and the competence state of an individual emergency medical rescue team by calculating the connection principal value, and it also predicts how the emergency medical rescue capability will develop based on the values of partial connection numbers. Results: The example shows that the calculation process of this model is relatively simple, and its assessment results are objective and authentic, and moreover, its multi-functions can make up for the deficiency of the simplified function of other evaluation models. The objective of this work is to present a novel multi-attribute decision making (MADM) method under interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy (IVIF) set environment by integrating a Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. Set pair analysis (SPA) theory is the modern uncertainty theory which is composed by the three components, namely "identity", "discrepancy" and "contrary" degrees of the connection number (CN) and overlap with the various existing theories for handling the uncertainties in the data. Thus, motivated by this, in the present work, an attempt is made to enrich the theory of information measure by presented some exponential based distance measures using CNs of the IVIF sets. The supremacy of the proposed measure is also discussed. Afterward, a TOPSIS method based on the proposed distance measures is developed to solve MADM problem under IVIF environment where each of the element is characteristics by IVIF numbers. The utility, as well as supremacy of the approach, is confirmed through a real-life numerical example and validate it by comparing their results with the several existing approaches results. In recent years, drought disaster has occurred frequently in China, causing significant agricultural losses. It is increasingly important to assess the risk of agricultural drought disaster (ADD) and to develop a targeted risk management approach. In this study, an ADD risk assessment model was established. First, an improved fuzzy analytic hierarchy process based on an accelerated genetic algorithm (AGA-FAHP) was used to build an evaluation indicator system. Then, based on the indicators, the ADD assessment connection numbers were established using the improved connection number method. Finally, the entropy information diffusion method was used to form an ADD risk assessment model. The model was applied to the Huaibei Plain in Anhui Province (China), with the assessment showing that, in the period from 2008 to 2017, the plain was threatened continuously by ADD, especially during 2011–2013. The risk assessment showed that southern cities of the study area were nearly twice as likely to be struck by ADD as northern cities. Meanwhile, the eastern region had a higher frequency of severe and above-grade ADD events (once every 21 years) than the western region (once every 25.3 years). Therefore, Huainan was identified as a high-risk city and Huaibei as a low-risk city, with Suzhou and Bengbu more vulnerable to ADD than Fuyang and Bozhou. Understanding the spatial dynamics of risk in the study area can improve agricultural system resilience by optimizing planting structures and by enhancing irrigation water efficiency. This model could be used to provide support for increasing agricultural drought disaster resilience and risk management efficiency. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
