The article discusses a clinical study on the incidence of dumping syndrome among obese patients with type 2 diabetes submitted to banded gastric bypass. The study was conducted based on patients' medical charts. Diagnosis of such a syndrome was based only on clinical information from routine examination during patient visits. It is noted that dumping syndrome is a common complication in the postoperative period of gastric bypass.
