Vrijeme u kojem živimo i radimo traži od pojedinca različite kompetencije koje će mu omogućiti kvalitetnije djelovanje u svim aspektima života. Jedna je od tih kompetencija i kritičko mišljenje koje uključuje niz različitih vještina, poput rješavanja problema, donošenja odluka, argumentiranog zaključivanja i vrednovanja na temelju kriterija. Budući da se kritičko mišljenje često smatra jednom od ključnih kompetencija za život i rad u 21. stoljeću, ne čudi činjenica da se važnost razvijanja kritičkog mišljenja naglašava kada je u pitanju odgojno-obrazovno djelovanje. Iako se kod nas vrlo malo pisalo o kritičkom mišljenju u okviru odgojno-obrazovnog procesa, važnost razvoja kritičkog mišljenja u procesu poučavanja i učenja naglašava se u kurikularnim dokumentima. S obzirom na to, cilj ovoga rada je utvrditi, na temelju analize ishoda učenja, koje se vještine kritičkoga mišljenja i u kojoj mjeri potiču međupredmetnim temama. Dobiveni rezultati pokazat će ostvaruju li međupremetne teme jednu od svojih uloga, a to je prihvaćanje i uvažavanje važnosti razvoja kompetencije kritičkog mišljenja u procesu poučavanja i učenja., The time we live and work in requires different competencies that will enable an individual to act better in all aspects of life. One of these competencies is critical thinking, which includes a number of different skills such as problem solving, decision making, reasoning and evaluation based on criteria. Since critical thinking is often considered to be one of the key competencies for living and working in the 21st century, it is not surprising that the importance of developing critical thinking is emphasized when it comes to education. Although very little has been written about critical thinking in Croatia and within the educational process, the importance of developing critical thinking through the process of teaching and learning is emphasized by curricular documents. Thus, the aim of this paper is, based on the analysis of learning outcomes, detecting whether and to what extent cross-curricular subjects encourage the development of critical thinking. The results obtained will, in one hand, indicate the recognition of the importance of developing the competence of critical thinking in the process of education and, in the other, give some insight into the question of cross-curricular subjects successfully accomplishing their purpose which is, among other things, to encourage the development of competencies for the 21st century. Given the complexity of this topic, further research is mandatory in pursuit of conclusion whether and to what extent cross-curricular topics contribute to the development of critical thinking.

This bachelor thesis aims to explore ways in which environmental topics might be integrated into the ESL classroom to improve students' communication skills. The theoretical part is concerned with teaching methods that combine content and language instruction, introduce relevant topics and create an authentic environment for language learning. It further analyses the content and main objectives of Environmental Education as a cross-curricular subject and identifies communication skills as an essential element of soft skills. The thesis examines their possible development through engaging students in discussions about environmental issues. The practical part consists of planning individual lessons whose content derives from topics of Environmental Education and emphasis is placed on communication activities. The lessons were thereafter implemented in an Elementary School ZŠ Drtinova and reflected on using Korthagen's ALACT model. Based on the teaching experience, the practical part contains recommendations for similar lessons. The thesis suggests that English language teachers are in a unique position to promote environmental awareness and improve students' language skills simultaneously.

The theme of this diploma thesis is Practical use of the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague for Education of Lower Grades of Primary Schools. The main purpose is to chart current status of a theme of botanical garden in curricular documents, namely The Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and School Educational Programmes of chosen elementary schools located in Prague 2. Further, the presence of this theme is explored in the sample of schoolbooks for the 4th and the 5th grades of elementary schools. There is a questionnaire survey realized among teachers of the 4th and the 5th grades in the schools listed above. The aim is to find out, how much the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague is used for practical education. The results are shown in charts and graphs. The readiness of this botanical garden for practical education of lower grades pupils is found out by an interview with its vice-director. The next part of thesis contains planning and realizing a lesson with the 5th grade pupils. The lesson demonstrates a possibility of more frequent practical education in the botanical garden. Afterwards, the possibilities of using this particular visit of the botanical garden are analysed in relation to Natural Science...

La codificación y tabulación de preguntas de respuestas múltiples es bien simple y conocida, pero no por ello está exenta de errores y laboriosas tareas de introducción de datos y análisis de los mismos. En este artículo se expone como facilitar la codificación y la tabulación de este tipo de variables, suponiendo un ahorro drástico del tiempo necesario para su tabulación y una reducción considerable de los errores de datos que se pueden producir al introducirlos en el ordenador. Asimismo, se obtiene una variable "viva" que se puede analizar y obtener información adicional.Además se indica como obtener mayor información del estudio conjunto de más de dos variables dicotómicas, a partir de la definición de una nueva variable conjunta en la matriz de datos.Todo ello se aplica a datos de una investigación sobre las transversales en educación primaria. The process of coding and tabulating multiple-choice questions is simple and well known, yet not free from errors and time-consuming data entry and analysis. This article explains how to code and tabulate variables, which will save time and dramatically decrease the number of errors derived from entering data into a computer. An "active" variable is calculated which may be further analyzed. This article also explains how to obtain more information when analyzing more than two dichotomous variables from the creation of a new joint variable in the data matrix. These processes were applied to data of a research study on cross-curricular subjects in primary education.

This thesis deals with the possibilities of using the programme Philosophy for Children to fulfill the objectives of the cross-curricular subjects at Primary school. The theoretical part includes a summary of the objectives of elementary education, then it describes the cross-curricular subjects of the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education and Philosophy for Children and their interconnection. In the practical part, seven lessons using methods of Philosophy for Children, taught in the 5th year of Primary school, are described and they are analyzed from the philosophical point of view and from the point of view of including the cross-curricular subjects. In the reflection, these lessons are evaluated and the possibility of developing certain skills of pupils in case of longer-term using of this programme is mentioned.

For the fifth year running, personal and social education (PSE) has been a part of primary school curriculum in the Czech Republic. This study examines how this cross-curricular subject is dealt with in six different primary schools. The theoretical part describes the history of PSE, its objectives, methods of implementation, principles, its position in primary school curriculum and its relationship to other cross-curricular subjects. The research part contains a study of the school curriculum of six primary schools from the point-of-view of PSE, an analysis of questionaires for observer of educational units working with PSE objectives and an analysis of self-examining questionaires for the teachers of these units.

Bachelor thesis is literature search. It compares cross-curricular subjects in the Czech Republic with other neighbouring countries (Germany, Austria, Poland, and Slovakia). As the source of information were not used scholarly articles but also school education programmes of countries. Cross-curricular subjects offer an opportunity to connect most or all school subjects. Themes which mainly cross Biology are analyzed in detail. Cross-curricular subjects in the Czech Republic are provided only marginally.

This thesis deals with the problems concerning cross-curricular subjects, in particular focusing on Multicultural Education and Moral, Character and Social Education, their defining in the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. Furthermore, it outlines the possibility of their interconnection in a concrete project with the topic of Romany. This thesis is based on the conviction of the importance of the transcultural approach to the Multicultural education in practise. It also deals with the character of a teacher mainly in the relation to the above mentioned cross-curricular subjects. The main objective of this thesis is the actual realisation of the project in two selected schools. The project has already been put forward in my bachelor thesis. I committed myself there to the realisation of the project in practise and for that purpose the project itself had to be adjusted, namely shortened due to its time demandingness. The actual evaluation of the project is also a part of the practical section of this thesis.

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tvorbou funkčních osnov pro výuku předmětu IKT/ICT ve druhém roce studia oboru Technické lyceum na SPŠS Vsetín a to se zohledněním všech změn, které nastaly zavedením nových rámcových vzdělávacích programů (RVP). V teoretické části práce jsou popsány veškeré důležité informace spojené s tvorbou učebních osnov a výukou obecně, praktická část se pak zabývá samotnou realizací osnov předmětu IKT/ICT a vývojem komplexních materiálů do výuky, které by zohlednily také individuální učební styl žáků. Výstupem práce jsou pak nové osnovy pro výuku druhého ročníku předmětu IKT/ICT navržené v souladu s požadavky RVP a komplexní materiály do výuky pokrývající celý druhý ročník studia tohoto předmětu. Materiály jsou vytvořeny v podobě výkladových prezentací, video tutoriálů, zadání prací s ohledem na řešení problémových situací skutečného života, a ověřovacích testů. Celá struktura učiva je navržena tak, aby nenásilnou formou docházelo k rozvíjení všech klíčových kompetencí studentů, a zároveň byl obsažen co možná největší počet průřezových témat., This diploma thesis deals with development of functional curriculum for education of subject IKT/ICT in second year of study in Technical lyceum field of study at SPŠS Vsetín, with consideration of all changes made due to launch of new framework education programmes (FEP). In theoretical part there is described all the necessary information connected with development of the curriculum and the process of education generally, practical part then deals with concrete realization of curriculum for the subject IKT/ICT and with development of complex materials for the education process, which would keep in mind also the individual learning style of students. Results of this work are the new curriculum for education of the subject IKT/ICT, which has been proposed according to requirements of FEP, and complex materials for education, which entirely cover the second year of study of this subject. Materials are developed in form of explanatory presentations, video tutorials, assignments of work with consideration to real-life problem situations, and examinational tests.
