Aim. The research was conducted to develop and implement the complex of diagnostic activities in patients with dysfunction of temporomandibular joints with signs of bruxism.Materials and methods. To achieve this aim we conducted a comprehensive diagnosis of 61 patients aged 20-29 years with bruxism and temporomandibular joints dysfunction (TMJD), the patients were divided into two groups. To diagnose and analyze the results of the disease treatment in patients we used a computer analysis with visualization of changes of the osteoarticular surface and parameters of the joint gap in the TMJ. Depending on the ratio of prognostic risk criteria and the development of bruxism, we distinguished the area of low, medium and high level of risk of disease progression.Results. Comparison of the treatment results of patients with bruxism from two groups in 12-24 months showed that patients from the second group had good treatment results. Patients of the second group underwent a complex of diagnostic activities and its data increased the treatment effectiveness. The results obtained from the treatment of patients from the first group indicate the lack of data from the standard examination of patients with bruxism.Conclusion. The developed complex diagnostic activities in patients with bruxism in combination with dysfunction of the TMJ and occlusive attrition of teeth allow to assess not only the local status but also to determine the functional state of dentoalveolar system and the cerebral cortex which affects the amount of therapeutic activities in the patient.

A G-protein-coupled receptor, GPR119, is a promising pharmacological target for a new class of hypoglycaemic drugs with an original mechanism of action, namely, increase in the glucose-dependent incretin and insulin secretion. In 2005, the first ligands were found and in the subsequent years, a large number of GPR119 agonists were synthesized in laboratories in various countries; the safest and most promising agonists have entered phase I and II clinical trials as agents for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity. The review describes the major endogenous GPR119 agonists and the main trends in the design and modification of synthetic structures for increasing the hypoglycaemic activity. The data on synthetic agonists are arranged according to the type of the central core of the molecules. The bibliography includes 104 references.

A photodetector array chip for detection of the optical signal in a wave range of 0.4–1.0 μm; conversion of the optical signal into the electric signal; and its extraction in the analog form to 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16 outputs has been designed, fabricated, and studied. The main parameters of this chip are the following: the charge capacity is up to 200000 electrons, the frame rate is higher than 600 Hz at the maximum resolution, and the integrated sensitivity is up to 1000 V/(lx s).

White adipose tissue (WAT) distribution (visceral fat predomination) and amount (adipose cell hypertrophy) may be a crucial risk factor of metabolic disorders. Present study shows effects of aerobic and anaerobic exercises on morphometric characteristics of mesenteric and subcutaneous WAT in hi-fat diet induced obese rats. The study found that animals, received hi-fat diet, demonstrate prevalence of small-size adipocytes. Probably it protects ectopic tissues from lipotoxic effects. Anaerobic physical exercises reduce amount of mesenteric WAT in normal rats received standard chow. Applied with hi-fat diet, anaerobic physical exercises reduce amount and size of fat cells in mesenteric WAT, but aerobic physical exercises reduce the same characteristics in subcutaneous WAT.

For the implementation of measures to maintain the quality of the energy industrial enterprises have to spend a significant material and monetary assets. In this regard, significant is the feasibility study of the allocation of such funds and, primarily, the determination of the economic damage arising from low quality of electricity. The reliability of the electricity metering system, relay protection and automation of modern digital substations depends on the quality of electrical energy. At the present time to improve the reliability of the substation operation it is necessary to monitor indicators of quality of electric energy, allowing you to take organizational and technical solutions for their improvement. Monitoring the power quality at the input traction substation has shown that indicators such as the coefficient of the n-th harmonic component of the voltage does not meet the standards GOST 13109-97. The source of higher harmonics is a voltage Converter used on the locomotive. To eliminate higher harmonics in the supply network for traction substations will need to install power filters. Adult rats were subjected to 7-day combined stress with stochastic changes of stressors of different modalities (noise, vibration, pulsating bright light) along with mobility restriction and elevated temperature in the chamber during stress exposures (daily 30-min sessions). Circulatory disorders, inhibition of endothelial NO-synthase expression in endothelial cells of the microcirculatory bed, perivascular edema, pronounced degenerative changes, and enhanced expression of inducible NO synthase in CA3 pyramidal neurons in the ventral hippocampus of stressed 12-month-old rats were observed. These findings can attest to the involvement NOdependent mechanisms and different contribution of NO synthase isoforms into the formation of hippocampal neuronal damage.

Chronic combined stress with substitution of stressors of different modalities (noise, vibration, and pulsating bright light) presented using a stochastic scheme on the background of constant stressors (movement restriction, oscillation in environmental temperature) induced symptoms of depression-like behavior in animals, this displaying marked phenomenological similarity with the clinical picture of depression: anxiety and behavioral correlates – despair, hypodynamia, and anhedonia – as well as the morphosomatic consequences of chronic stress, i.e., involution of the thymus and spleen, hypertrophy of the adrenals, and ulceration of the gastric mucosa. Imipramine and fluoxetine effectively suppressed these behavioral abnormalities and their efficacies were consistent with clinical trials results and data obtained in other models of depression. This model of depression has satisfactory measures of construct and predictive validity and can be used for physiological, ethological, and pharmacological studies.

By the reaction of 2-[6-methyl-1-(thiethane-3-yl)uracil-3-yl]acetic acid hydrazide with aryl aldehydes and acetophenone derivatives, acylhydrazones have been obtained, which exist in DMSO solutions as a mixture of two stereoisomers of an EC=N-isomer, due to the hindered internal rotation around the hydrazide bond. It has been found that the compounds synthesized exhibit a hypotensive activity.

The paper discusses the principle of construction of automatic control systems for the energy conversion complex of a spacecraft with a digital control system. It is shown that the proposed digital control system is able to solve all the tasks assigned to it. The results are tested on an experimental model.

A matrix gallium-arsenide detector for roentgenography and nondestructive monitoring is described in this work. The detector contains 128 × 128 sensitive elements with 50-μm pitch, an analog multiplexor, and a system for information acquisition. The detector is intended for use in low- or medium-dose medical X-ray apparatuses. It can also be used for nondestructive defectoscopy.

Saturation evaluation and reserves estimation by well logs requires laboratory determination of capillary and electric properties including evaluation of cementation exponent (m) and saturation exponent (n). Crucial task is to improve reliability of modeling reservoir-rock residual water saturation based on laboratory methods. One of the solutions is to conduct studies under conditions simulating in-situ conditions which will allow more accurate determination of oil saturation when estimating reserves in the accumulation, and more correct prediction of field performance. Capillary pressure curves behaviour in PT conditions is critical for understanding the mechanism of water-oil saturation distribution throughout the hydrocarbon column height. The problem was solved with using special laboratory equipment on which capillary pressure curves were produced for sand samples based on porous plate method in individual coreholder with simultaneous measurement of electric resistivity. Main objective of the study was to find out the difference between capillary and electric properties produced in ambient and PT conditions.

An electrogasdynamic generator-expander (EGD-G-E) stage having a new flow section and a new system and form of electrodes is proposed. Variation of the flow parameters, velocity of charged particles, and radii of the flow section along the length of the nozzle apparatus and the diffuser has been investigated. Such an EGD-G-E can be used as a refrigeration source in natural gas liquefiers, air-fractionating plants, gas-fractionating stations, etc.

Versions are considered for preparing liquefied natural gas (LNG) in liquefiers with different cold producing units; with a throttle valve, a vortex tube, a turbo-expander. A short analysis is given for their efficiency, and disadvantages and advantages are noted. It is proposed to use as a cold producing unit in liquid gas liquefiers an electrogasdynamic (EGD) generator-expander (G-E) using (utilization) the energy of pipeline natural gas. Schemes are provided for a new stage and the construction of a multistage EGD G-E. Versions are shown for inclusion in a natural gas liquefier whose operational analysis shows that they are not surpassed in efficiency by liquefiers with a turbo-expander.

Using reaction of hydrazide 2-[6-methyl-1-(thiethane3-yl)uracil-3-yl]acetic acid with arylaldehydes and acetophenone derivatives were obtained acylhydrazones, which exist in DMSO solution as a mixture of two stereoisomers of a E(C=N)-isomer for due to hindered internal rotation around the hydrazide bond. It was revealed that the synthesized compounds exhibit antihypertensive activity.

In attempting to restrain the increase in the carbon content of IF steels during their casting, two of the key factors to be considered are lowering the carbon content of the charge materials and selecting the correct processes for forming the slag in the tundish and the mold. Optimizing slag formation in turn better protects the steel from secondary oxidation and results in a smaller increase in the steel’s nitrogen content. Optimization of the use of slag-forming mixtures has allowed steelmakers to reduce the increase in the carbon and nitrogen contents of the steel by 20%. The results of the study reported here have made it possible to improve the IF steel production method used in the continuous-casting section of the oxygen converter shop at the Severstal’ Metallurgical Combine.

An approach to calculating the exitation cross sections and rate coefficients for a wide class of transitions in atoms and ions induced by collisions with heavy charged particles in considered. Calculations were carried out in terms of the Born approximation in the impact parameter representation with the normalization and Coulomb repulsion (in the case of an ionic target). Transitions between levels in He and He-like ions without changes of the principal quantum number are considered for n=2–4. Fitting formulas are suggested for transition rate coefficients. Tables of cross sections and parameters of fitting formulas are given for He and C4+.

A numerical heat model of a ground solar water-heating collector (GSWC) has been developed and its heat losses have been investigated. The heat losses in the GSWC and in “ordinary” flat collectors are shown to be similar. The model can be used to choose the constructive parameters of the GSWC and to estimate the temperatures in a ground layer under different conditions on the surface (opened and closed surfaces) and at a varying densities of solar radiation and surrounding temperatures.

Chronic combined stress with the change of differently modal stressors (noise, vibration and pulsating bright light) according to the stochastic scheme against the background of constant stressors (restriction of movement, fluctuations of the temperature of the environment) causes symptoms of depression-like animal behavior, having the pronounced phenomenological simila rity with the clinical presentation of depression: anxiety, behavioral correlates of despair, hypodynamia, anhedonia, as well as morphosomatic consequences of chronic stress: involution of the thymus and spleen, hypertrophy of epinephros, ulceration of the mucous stomach membrane. Imipramine and fluoxetine effectively reduce the stated behavioral disorders, their effectiveness corresponds to the results of clinical studies and the data received from other models of depression. The described model of depression, has satisfactory, corresponding, constructive and predictive validity and can be used for physiological, ethological, and pharmacological studies.

Phenibut salts with citric and salicylic acids--compounds RSPU-147 and RSPU-189, respectively--positively influence the psychic (increase in the locomotor and position-finding activity in the open field test and retention of memorable track in the CROA test) and physical (in the revolution, negative geo-taxis, avoidance, and muscular force tests) development of posterity, born from females with gestosis caused by the replacement of drinking water by 1.8% NaCl solution during the period of gestation.

Indium antimonide MWIR Focal Plane Array (FPA) have been developed and investigated. FPA consists of two dimensional arrays of InSb photodiodes bonded by indium bumps with CMOS-multiplexer and LN 2 cryocooler. Noise equivalent power NEP 1 10 -12 W/pixel and dynamic range 60 ÷70 dB at frame frequency 250 Hz. Keywords: InSb, FPA, Focal Plane Array, CMOS, Multiplexer, LN 2 1. INTRODUCTION Infrared imaging systems of a second generation on the basis of two dimensional arrays (TDA) have the best dimensional parameters and smaller power consumption first of all due to the absence of a optical scanning system. Besides they have very high spatial resolution and good threshold performances due to integration of a photocurrent. On a spectral range 3÷5 µm both monolithic Focal Plane Arrays (FPA) on the basis of PtSi, TDA and hybrid one on the basis of indium antimonide and CMT, semiconductors with intrinsic photoconductivity, were developed (see, for example, 1 ). Despite of apparent technological advantages of PtSi TDA (a compatibility with Si technology, a monolithic version, high uniformity) their field of application is strongly narrowed down because of low quantum efficiency that does not allows to achieve high sensitivity and high frame frequency simultaneously. The hybrid FPA is the two-crystal assembly consisting of a TDA from InSb or CMT photodiodes and Si readout and integrated circuit (ROIC), jointed more often by means of indium microbumps. High quantum efficiency of these semiconductors and an acceptable level of background currents allow simultaneously to have a fast photosignal accumulation from each pixel of a TDA that provides high frame frequency and high sensitivity. However, the realization of hybrid version requires the solution of some the complex technological problems, basic of which are: development of a photodiodes TDA having high quantum efficiency under backside illumination and maximum compensation of thermomechanical stresses originating because thermal expansion coefficient difference of TDA and ROIC; development of technology of indium microbumps; development of ROIC with the broad functional capabilities and hybridization of TDA and ROIC.

The practical need of determining losses caused by insect pests is recognized as an important part of the work of Economic Entomologists, Agronomists and Statisticians. Those insect pests which are invisible to a casual observer are probably the most important. In order to determine the losses caused to certain plants by a given insect, an experiment of artificial infestation, with a future comparison of the check plants and infested plants must be made. The difference in weight of the yield of normal check plants and infested plants expressed in percentage is called “ Coefficient of Injury” (C). The Coefficient of Injury is quite constant for certain insect pests. The Coefficient of Injury caused by a given insect might, and really should, be determined by experiments in a laboratory and must be done so once and for all. The percentage of infested plants, or stems of plants in the field, is called “ Percentage of Infestation” (P) . Percentage of decrease in the yield, or “ Percentage of Loss” (L) caused by a certain insect pest to a given crop in the field may be determined from the formula. The “ Actual Yield” (A) per acre of a certain field and the “ Possible (theoretical) yield” (Y) of grain from the same field when not infested may be also learned from the formula. The “ Actual Loss” (X) caused by insect pests is the difference between theoretical and actual yields. To know the exact cost of feeding a certain insect pest is especially valuable, if determined correctly. The quantitative side of the loss caused by insect pests is tremendous, but as yet unknown to the general public.

In small orthorhombic TaS3 samples we have observed the following: the step-like dependence of resistivity on temperature and electric field, the negative differential resistance at the current slightly above the threshold; a shift, splitting and locking of the narrow band noise frequencies.

This paper is a written summary of an overview oral presentation given at the 1st Spanish Fusion High Performance Computer (HPC) Workshop that took place on the 27 November 2020 as an online event. Given that over the next few years ITER 24 24 ITER (‘The Way’ in Latin) is the world’s largest tokamak under construction in the south of France: a magnetic fusion device that has been designed to prove the feasibility of fusion as a large-scale and carbon-free source of energy (https://www.iter.org/). will move to its operation phase and the European-DEMO design will be significantly advanced, the EUROfusion consortium has initiated a coordination effort in theory and advanced simulation to address some of the challenges of the fusion research in Horizon EUROPE (2021–2027), i.e. the next EU Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development. This initiative has been called E-TASC, which stands for EUROfusion-Theory and Advanced Simulation Coordination. The general and guiding principles of E-TASC are summarized in this paper. In addition, an overview of the scientific results obtained in the pilot phase (2019–2020) of E-TASC are provided while highlighting the importance of the required progress in computational methods and HPC techniques. In the initial phase, five pilot theory and simulation tasks were initiated: towards a validated predictive capability of the low to high transition and pedestal physics; runaway electrons in tokamak disruptions in the presence of massive material injection; fast code for the calculation of neoclassical toroidal viscosity in stellarators and tokamaks; development of a neutral gas kinetics modular code; European edge and boundary code for reactor-relevant devices. In this paper, we report on recent progress made by each of these projects.
