BACKGROUND. There is enough evidence of the negative impact of excess weight on the formation and progression of res piratory pathology. Given the continuing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, it is relevant to determine the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and the clinical features of the novel coronavirus infection (NCI).AIM. To study the effect of BMI on the course of the acute SARS-COV-2 infection and the post-covid period.MATERIALS AND METHODS. AKTIV and AKTIV 2 are multicenter non-interventional real-world registers. The АКТИВ registry (n=6396) includes non-overlapping outpatient and inpatient arms with 6 visits in each. The АКТИВ 2 registry (n=2968) collected the data of hospitalized patients and included 3 visits. All subjects were divided into 3 groups: not overweight (n=2139), overweight (n=2931) and obese (n=2666).RESULTS. A higher BMI was significantly associated with a more severe course of the infection in the form of acute kidney injury (p=0.018), cytokine storm (pCONCLUSION. Overweight and/or obesity is a significant risk factor for severe course of the new coronavirus infection and the associated cardiovascular and kidney damage Overweight people and patients with the 1st and 2nd degree obesity tend to have a high risk of death of SARS-CoV-2 infection in both acute and post-covid periods. On top of that, in case of morbid obesity patients this tendency is statistically significant. Normalization of body weight is a strategic objective of modern medicine and can contribute to prevention of respiratory conditions, severe course and complications of the new coronavirus infection.

For the first time, calculations of a reinforced polymer composite material (ArPCM) based on T-25 fabric (VMP) and developed modified epoxy matrices with an active diluents (AR) of different nature, structure and characteristics (laproxides and laprolate), a complex of physical and mechanical characteristics were performed using a generalized 3D models of the elementary structural cell of the anisotropic material ArPKM and computational engineering systems (CAE). Calculations and experiments have shown that all the studied modified epoxy matrices can be used in the design of products from ArPKM, however, preference should be given to matrices with E-181 and DEG-1 grade Laproxides, which fully meet the strength requirements for designing products subjected to forces during operation.

Relevance. Acute respiratory infections (ARI) are a serious health problem not only because of the high frequency of their occurrence, but also because of the economic damage they cause both in the form of direct costs (the cost of diagnosis and treatment) and indirect costs (disability, reduced labor productivity, etc.). Pregnant women and children under 5 years of age are included in the group of patients with risk factors for complications of influenza and other ARI, therefore, an analysis of the etiological structure of ARI and influenza in obstetric hospitals is an urgent task. In recent years, there has been an urgent need to create a national complex diagnostic test system based on molecular genetic methods for detecting infectious agents that cause ARI. Aims. The aim of the study is to analyze the etiological structure of ARI and influenza in patients with clinical symptoms and to develop and implement a new test system for rapid screening and diagnosis of infections that cause ARI. Materials & methods. When studying the etiological structure of ARI and influenza, cultural studies of the nasal and pharyngeal mucosa were carried out, followed by identification of microorganisms using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and molecular genetic study (real-time PCR) using an experimental test panel containing primers that allow detecting the following viruses: influenza A, B viruses, parainfluenza viruses of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th types, coronaviruses OS43, HKU1, NL63, E229, respiratory syncytial virus, metapneumovirus, rhinovirus and adenovirus, as well as bacterial pathogens of ARI: Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Moraxella catarrhalis, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The test system was developed using the following methods: real-time PCR, a combination of reverse transcription and real-time PCR (RT-PCR) and the next generation sequencing (NGS) method. Results. The etiological structure of ARI and influenza was analyzed in patients with clinical manifestations (cough, tickling/sore throat/hyperemia of the mucous membrane of the palate and the back wall of the pharynx, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, acute runny nose/nasal congestion). The species spectrum of bacterial and viral pathogens was revealed. A new test system based on PCR, real-time RT-PCR and NGS has been created for complex diagnostics of both viral and bacterial pathogens of ARI, consisting of three separate components: the main test system «ARI», which detects the main viral and bacterial pathogens of ARI, and two additional sets of reagents: «Oseltamivir resistance» and «Oseltamivir/ Zanamivir resistance». Conclusions. The new test system can be used to detect and differentiate nucleic acids of pathogens of ARI of humans. The test system seems to us promising for further use. As a result of the analysis of the etiological structure of acute respiratory infections and influenza, attention is drawn to a significantly smaller variety of identified pathogens in 2020 and a much more pronounced dominance of rhinovirus infection compared to our previous study in 2019.

The paper presents the results of a study of the kinetics and level of residual stresses during the curing of systems based on ED-20 epoxy oligomer with amine curing agent (TETA) and active diluents (AD) having different nature, structure and characteristics (laproxides and laprolate).The effect of the structure, AD content, and curing temperature on the kinetics and level of residual stresses in the ED-20 + TETA + AD systems is shown.It has been established that the most effective AD for reducing residual stresses in the ED-20 + TETA systems are laproxides of grades E-181, 703 and laprolat 301 at a content of 0.15-0.20 vol.Optimal compositions of binders based on epoxy oligomers with active diluents with low level of residual stresses (no more than ~2 MPa), shrinkage of ~3%, initial viscosity of ~0.2 Pa·s at curing temperature of up to 60°C are proposed, which guarantees high-quality impregnation of fibrous fillers and high level having physical and mechanical characteristics of reinforced plastics.

The results of a study of the kinetics and level of shrinkage during curing of systems based on the ED-20 epoxy oligomer with an amine hardener and active diluents (AD) of different nature, structure and characteristics (laproxides and laprolat) are presented.The effect of the structure, AD content and curing temperature on the kinetics and level of shrinkage, as well as the glass transition temperature of epoxy systems with AD, is shown.It was found that the most effective AD in the ED-20 + TETA system are laproxides of the E-181 and 703 brands, as well as laprolat 301 with a content of 0.15 vol.Optimal compositions of binders based on epoxy oligomers with active diluents with low shrinkage (~1.5-2 times), initial viscosity no more than ~0.2 Pa·s at a curing temperature of 60°C, which guarantees high-quality impregnation of fiber fillers and high the level of physical and mechanical characteristics of reinforced plastics.

Objective: to identify molecular genetic predictors of metastatic spread to regional lymph nodes in patients with breast cancer (BC) based on the analysis of gene expression profile of the primary tumor.Materials and methods. The study included 358 patients with BC who underwent surgical treatment in breast cancer department of Academician V.I. Kulakov Research Center of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology, Ministry of Health of Russia. Among all included into the study patients, 132 (36.9 %) had metastases in at least one axillary lymph node. Molecular genetic examination of the tumor tissue was carried out using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction; the diagnostic panel consisted of 45 functional and 3 reference genes. Results. Patients with metastases to regional lymph nodes were generally younger (p = 0.006), had larger primary tumor (pConclusion. TMEM45A, CCND1 and MIA gene expression in the primary tumor were the markers of lymph node involvement in BC. The developed predictive genetic signature can become an additional diagnostic tool to predict the risk of lymph node metastases at the point of planning the volume of axillary surgery in patients with BC.

The kinetics of desorption of an inactive solvent (a mixture of acetone with ethyl alcohol in a 1 : 1 ratio) from an epoxy oligomer and an epoxy oligomer (EO) + amine hardener (PEPA) system at different temperatures has been studied. Desorption of an inactive solvent (InS) from an epoxy oligomer has been described by the standard diffusion model. The diffusion coefficients of InS for initial and final regions of the desorption kinetics have been determined. It has been shown that, when a hardener is introduced into EO (the EO + PEPA system), desorption of the inactive solvent slows down and the weight loss of evaporating InA decreases significantly as a result of the formation of a three-dimensional structure of the polyepoxide and absorption of water vapor from air by the amine hardener.

We proposed a method of cyclic alternating-current voltammetry with track membranes (TM) filled with ion exchangers with asymmetric pores for the determination of acetylcholine chloride (ACC). We studied the electrochemical and performance characteristics of the determination of ACC using track membranes with pores filled with nanoparticles of crushed cation and anion exchangers. Acetylcholine chloride can be determined in concentrations down to 10–6 M.

Relevanc. Measles, mumps and rubella, despite many years of vaccination, retain their epidemiological and social significance at the present time. The aim of the work is to study the safety and immunogenicity. Of the vaccine for the prevention of measles, rubella and mumps Vactrivir® in children's immunization. Materials and methods. The safety and immunogenicity of the vaccine was studied in a simple multicenter blind comparative randomized clinical trial involving children aged 12 months and 6 years. Results. The Vactrivir® vaccine is characterized by low reactogenicity, a high safety and immunogenicity profile and is comparable in terms of indicators to the foreign Priorix® vaccine, which has been used in the Russian Federation for specific prevention of measles, rubella and mumps since 2018.

Rheological characteristics of epoxy oligomers (EOs), reactive diluents (RDs) based on diglycidyl ether of various functionalities, and EO + RD systems are studied at 20–80°C. It is shown that an increase in temperature to 80°C decreases the viscosity of epoxy oligomers by a factor of ~160–400 and that of reactive diluents by a factor of ~10, while the addition of an RD to an EO decreases the viscosity of the systems by a factor of 5–40. Optimal compositions of EO–RD systems are suggested for effective impregnation of various fiber fillers.

Study Objective: To evaluate the effect of low molecular heparin (LMH) therapy on non-invasive prenatal DNA screening (NIPS) for chromosomal pathologies. Study Design: cross-sectional study. Materials and Methods. We have examined two groups of pregnant women: group I included 49 patients with constantly low foetal DNA (twice lower than 4%) selected out of 1,505 women examined at Kulakov National Medical Scientific Centre of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Perinatal Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Russia during the last 2 years. 17 women were administered LMH and 32 women did not receive it. Group II included 113 pregnant women with a normal foetal DNA fraction (at least 4%), that were selected randomly out of patients who were examined during the same period. 56 pregnant women were administered LMH and 57 were not. Next Generation Sequencing was used as an NIPS method. In order to determine the foetal DNA level, we amplified DNA loci with single nucleotide polymorphisms. Study Results. In group I (low foetal DNA fraction), where no LMH therapy was initiated, median values were 3.5% (3.2–3.8%); if LMH was administered, these values made 3.6% (3.4–3.9), while in group II — 7.7% (6.1–9.5%) and 7.9% (6.0–10.5%), respectively; no significant differences (p = 0.29 and p = 0.7, respectively) were recorded in both cases. Conclusion. Use of LMH does not affect NIPS; therefore, it is not necessary to adjust the LMH therapy in pregnant women prior to NIPS. Objectives. This study focused on the quantification of the surface tension and the static and dynamic contact angles of epoxy oligomers, active diluents, and their mixtures of various compositions at different temperatures. The active diluents were aliphatic compounds based on glycidyl ethers, namely laproxides and a laprolate of different structure, functionality, molecular weight, and viscosity. Moreover, the preparation of effective polymer binders (matrices) for composites was explored.Methods. In this study, the epoxy oligomers ED-20 and DER-330, laproxides 201B, DEG-1, E-181, and 703, laprolate 301, and their mixtures in various compositions were investigated. Their surface tension and the static and dynamic contact angles were determined by the Wilhelmy plate and ring methods on a semiautomatic tensiometer at different temperatures (20–60 °C). The static contact angle was measured on a thin aluminum borosilicate glass plate, and the dynamic contact angles were determined using an installation for measuring surface tension developed by NPO Stekloplastik.Results. The surface tension and static and dynamic contact angles were obtained for all epoxy oligomers and active diluents, as well as for their mixtures at 20–60 °C. For binders based on systems of epoxy oligomers and active diluents, the impregnation rate of fiber reinforcement was also calculated. The introduction of laproxides or laprolates into the epoxy oligomers led to a decrease in surface tension and contact angles, while the increase in temperature increased the impregnation rate by 10–20 times.Conclusions. The temperature increase from 20 to 60 °C resulted in a decrease in the surface tension of mixed systems of epoxy oligomers and active diluents by almost two times. In addition, the contact angles changed by only 4°–7°, while the impregnation was significantly improved and the corresponding rate increased by 10–20 times.

Three-layer metal–viscoelastic polymer–metal composites with thermoplastic plasticized films based on polyvinyl acetate as a viscoelastic polymer layer were studied by dynamic mechanical analysis. The temperature dependences of the mechanical loss coefficients and components of the complex elastic modulus were obtained experimentally for composites with different ratios of the thickness of the reinforcing and viscoelastic layers. The results were compared to the experimental data obtained by other methods with other polymer materials, and also to calculation results.

Uterine leiomyomas are a worrying reproductive health issue that has serious social implications. The aim of this study was to conduct a search for marker single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with uterine leiomyoma. To test the hypothesis about the contribution of genetic predisposition to the pathogenesis of myomas, the initial group of 100 patients with a verified diagnosis of uterine leiomyoma was divided into 2 subgroups: subgroup Ia (women with a family history of the disease) and subgroup 1b (women with no family history of the disease). The control group consisted of 30 postmenopausal patients who did not have a medical history of uterine fibroids and denied uterine fibroids in their close female relatives. DNA sequences were read using Sanger sequencing. Statistically significant differences (p < 0.05) were discovered between the analyzed groups in terms of genotype frequencies for rs12637801 and rs12457644. Also, previously unknown protective SNPs were identified whose rare alleles could predict the reduced risk of uterine leiomyomas.

Aim To study the effect of regular drug therapy for cardiovascular and other diseases preceding the COVID-19 infection on severity and outcome of COVID-19 based on data of the ACTIVE (Analysis of dynamics of Comorbidities in paTIents who surVived SARS-CoV-2 infEction) registry.Material and methods The ACTIVE registry was created at the initiative of the Eurasian Association of Therapists. The registry includes 5 808 male and female patients diagnosed with COVID-19 treated in a hospital or at home with a due protection of patients’ privacy (data of nasal and throat smears; antibody titer; typical CT imaging features). The register territory included 7 countries: the Russian Federation, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The registry design: a closed, multicenter registry with two nonoverlapping arms (outpatient arm and in-patient arm). The registry scheduled 6 visits, 3 in-person visits during the acute period and 3 virtual visits (telephone calls) at 3, 6, and 12 mos. Patient enrollment started on June 29, 2020 and was completed on October 29, 2020. The registry completion is scheduled for October 29, 2022. The registry ID: ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT04492384. In this fragment of the study of registry data, the work group analyzed the effect of therapy for comorbidities at baseline on severity and outcomes of the novel coronavirus infection. The study population included only the patients who took their medicines on a regular basis while the comparison population consisted of noncompliant patients (irregular drug intake or not taking drugs at all despite indications for the treatment).ResultsThe analysis of the ACTIVE registry database included 5808 patients. The vast majority of patients with COVID-19 had comorbidities with prevalence of cardiovascular diseases. Medicines used for the treatment of COVID-19 comorbidities influenced the course of the infectious disease in different ways. A lower risk of fatal outcome was associated with the statin treatment in patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD); with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI)/angiotensin receptor antagonists and with beta-blockers in patients with IHD, arterial hypertension, chronic heart failure (CHF), and atrial fibrillation; with oral anticoagulants (OAC), primarily direct OAC, clopidogrel/prasugrel/ticagrelor in patients with IHD; with oral antihyperglycemic therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM); and with long-acting insulins in patients with type 1 DM. A higher risk of fatal outcome was associated with the spironolactone treatment in patients with CHF and with inhaled corticosteroids (iCS) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Conclusion In the epoch of COVID-19 pandemic, a lower risk of severe course of the coronavirus infection was observed for patients with chronic noninfectious comorbidities highly compliant with the base treatment of the comorbidity.

Some diseases, for instance, a glaucoma, cause visual field defects. For the timely diagnostics of such defects, various methods are used. One of the state-of-the-art diagnostic methods is automated static perimetry. The method of static perimetry consists in the light sensitivity determination in different parts of the visual field using stationary objects of variable luminosity. When scanning the visual field in this way, an important factor is the control of gaze fixation at the fixation point. The greatest accuracy in determining the gaze fixation position is achieved by the method of the pupil visual tracking using a video camera.In this paper, four groups of visual tracking algorithms are considered: segmentation-based methods, correlation methods, methods based on optical flow and on weighted average. An experimental comparison of these methods was carried out using the base of video recordings obtained in the automatic static perimetry apparatus. On these videos the ground truth tracks of pupil were marked. The comparison was conducted according to two criteria: center location error and tracking length. It is shown that only the weighted average method has an acceptable tracking length.

Rheological properties of dispersions based on epoxy oligomers with various contents of glass microspheres and inactive solvent (ethyl alcohol + acetone) have been studied. The relationship between the lattice parameters represented by coordination number Z (number of contacts of spheres in the bulk) and the general structural parameters (aav/d and Θ) of the dispersions with their rheological properties and the methods of processing of these compositions has been determined.

The velocity field of main-sequence stars and red giants from the TGAS catalogue with heliocentric distances up to 1.5 kpc has been analyzed for various spectral types. To estimate the influence of a low accuracy of stellar parallax measurements on the results of a kinematic analysis of distant stars, first we have studied in detail how the kinematic parameters derived with 1/π distances are shifted when these distances are replaced by three other versions of distances from Astraatmadja et al. (2016b). We have obtained detailed tables in which the ranges of these shifts in the Ogorodnikov–Milne and Bottlinger model parameters are shown for the stars of each spectral type. We have the smallest shifts in the case of determining the Oort coefficients A and B, for which there are 10% shifts only for main-sequence stars of spectral type B. In the remaining cases, these shifts are 0–3%. For the remaining parameters the shifts do not exceed 30%. Thus, we have shown that using the 1/π distance scale in estimating the Ogorodnikov–Milne and Bottlingermodel parameters (except for the parameter Ω″0) yields reliable results even when using parallaxes with large relative errors (up to 60%). To study Parenago’s discontinuity, we have investigated the dependence of the Ogorodnikov–Milne and Bottlinger model parameters on color for 1 260 071 mainsequence stars and 534 387 red giants. As far as we know, such a data set is used for the first time to investigate Parenago’s discontinuity. The main result is the detection of maximum points at B − V = 0.75 after which the solar velocity component V and the Oort coefficient B decrease when moving from blue stars to red ones. This fact is a new feature of Parenago’s discontinuity, because the component V does not change in the classical case at B − V >0.6. We have made an attempt to represent the well-known Parenago’s discontinuity as a special case of the more complex effect of a gradual change in a number of kinematic parameters as the mean age and composition of the group of stars under study changes.

HPV infects epithelial tissues regardless of their location and penetrates into the cell through microscopic cuts. The clinical manifestations of HPV-associated diseases are diverse and equally relevant for women and men. Despite the fact that exophytic condylomas are regarded as a benign disease and establishing diagnosis does not cause difficulties, a clinician should always have oncological alertness, especially with regard to diffuse, long-lasting condylomatosis.

Based on the stellar proper motions of the TGAS (Gaia DR1) catalogue, we have analyzed the velocity field of main-sequence stars and red giants from the TGAS catalogue with heliocentric distances up to 1.5 kpc. We have obtained four variants of kinematic parameters corresponding to different methods of calculating the distances from the parallaxes of stars measured with large relative errors. We have established that within the Ogorodnikov–Milne model changing the variant of distances affects significantly only the solar velocity components relative to the chosen centroid of stars, provided that the solution is obtained in narrow ranges of distances (0.1 kpc). The estimates of all the remaining kinematic parameters change little. This allows the Oort coefficients and related Galactic rotation parameters as well as all the remaining Ogorodnikov–Milne model parameters (except for the solar terms) to be reliably estimated irrespective of the parallax measurement accuracy. The main results obtained from main-sequence stars in the range of distances from 0.1 to 1.5 kpc are: A = 16.29 ± 0.06 km s−1 kpc−1, B = −11.90 ± 0.05 km s−1 kpc−1, C = −2.99 ± 0.06 km s−1 kpc−1, K = −4.04 ± 0.16 km s−1 kpc−1, and the Galactic rotation period P = 217.41 ± 0.60 Myr. The analogous results obtained from red giants in the range from 0.2 to 1.6 kpc are: the Oort constants A = 13.32 ± 0.09 km s−1 kpc−1, B = −12.71 ± 0.06 km s−1 kpc−1, C = −2.04 ± 0.08 km s−1 kpc−1, K = −2.72 ± 0.19 km s−1 kpc−1, and the Galactic rotation period P = 236.03 ± 0.98 Myr. The Galactic rotation velocity gradient along the radius vector (the slope of the Galactic rotation curve) is −4.32 ± 0.08 km s−1 kpc−1 for main-sequence stars and −0.61 ± 0.11 km s−1 kpc−1 for red giants. This suggests that the Galactic rotation velocity determined from main-sequence stars decreases with increasing distance from the Galactic center faster than it does for red giants.

Aim. The aim of the study is evaluate of reactogenicity, safety and immunogenicity of the native combined vaccine DTaP-HepB+Hib. Materials and methods. Assessment of reactogenicity, safety and immunogenicity of the drug is investigated in a multicenter, comparative, randomized, simple-blind clinical trial of immunization of children 6 months (the comparator vaccine DTaP-HepB combined vaccine, Hiberix®). Results. The native combined vaccine DTaP-HepB+Hib is characterized by good tolerability, high safety profile and a pronounced immunogenicity. In terms of seroprotection, seroconversion and geometric mean titers of antibodies comparable to that used in Russia of vaccines DTP-HBV and Hiberix®. Conclusion. Vaccine DTaP-HepB+Hib can be recommended for registration in the territory of the Russian Federation for the prevention of pertussis, diphtheria, tetanus, hepatitis B and Hib-infection.

The article analyzes tendencies of national payment systems development in the European Union and Russia: electronic and deposit money, bank cards, financial technologies in the field of retail payments. The author identifies factors that stimulate the development of cashless retail payments and the national payment card systems in the European Union, as well as the problems and prospects of this sector forming in Russia. Recommendations on the development of a competitive environment and financial technologies in the field of retail payments in Russia are proposed.

Relevance. Life expectancy of cystic fibrosis patients mostly depends on the degree of respiratory system damage caused by opportunistic microorganisms, which is due to the fact that 90-95% of deaths of cystic fibrosis patients are caused by lung infections. Goal. To define epidemiologic characteristics of chronic lung infection caused by the most common agents (S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, B. cepacia-like bacteria (Bcc) and Achromobacter spp.) using a novel chronic lung infection in cystic fibrosis patients microbiological diagnosis algorithm. Materials and methods. Over a period of 7 years (2008-2016) 300 children with cystic fibrosis living in Moscow, Moscow region and several other regions of Russian Federation have been checked-up. 260 sputum samples from 100 adult patients, who were under care at the Pulmonology Research Institute, were studied. Sputum samples from children were taken before and after antibiotic therapy with intervals of 15-45 days and over 6 months. 30 of the children were also subjected to a microbiologic monitoring of the state of chronic infection in the period between 4 and 15 months. Sputum sample from adult patients were also taken before and after antibiotic therapy with intervals of 0, 15-45 days and over 6 months. Results. P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, H. influenzae and Burkholderia cepacia-like bacteria were confirmed to be the most common agents of lung infection in cystic fibrosis patients. Children with cystic fibrosis over the years develop foci of chronic lung infection, mainly caused by P. aeruginosa and S. aureus. Conclusions. Chronic lung infection can be caused by community-acquired or nosocomial S. aureus и P. aeruginosa. Chronic lung infection is a complex, dynamically changing disease which requires constant monitoring and is mainly caused by S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, Bcc bacteria and Achromobacter spp. As populations of the agents can be diverse, it is necessary to study all colonies with differing phenotypes (mucoid and non-mucoid variants, small colony variants, variants with different pigments) and to take samples of several colonies when testing antibiotic resistance. Bcc and Achromobacter spp. cannot be eradicated with antibiotics, thus the only effective measure against these bacteria can only be vaccination which requires developing a vaccine.

The extreme acceleration of the Earth rotation observed in the summer of 2020 is considered. It is concluded that this phenomenon is a consequence of two factors: the longterm acceleration of the Earth rotation, which has been observed since the 1970s, and the extremely strong meteorological excitation of the LOD, which took place in the summer of 2020. The coincidence of the anomaly of the AAM and the geomagnetic Dst index, as well as the correlation between the LOD on the one hand and the solar wind speed and the Gaussian coefficients of the expansion of the Earth’s magnetic field, on the other, are noted. The problem of negative leap second is considered. Preliminary estimates have been made of introduction of a negative leap second, if the current trends in the behavior of UT1-UTC continue. The conclusion is made about the low probability of such an event.
