Background: Laryngoscopy and tracheal intubation are associated with hemodynamic and cardiovascular responses consisting of increased heart rate, blood pressure and tachycardia and dysarrhythmias. The alpha2-adrenoreceptor agonists such as clonidine and tizanidine have several beneficial actions during the perioperative period. They improve hemodynamic stability in response to endotracheal intubation and surgical stress. Objective: To study the effect of oral clonidine and tizanidine on induction dose of propofol and hemodynamic responses after laryngoscopy in patients undergoing surgery under general anesthesia Methods: Hundred patients in age group of 18-70 years old of ASA 1/2 undergoing elective surgeries under general anesthesia with tracheal intubation was included in the study. Tizanidine 4 mg prescribed to group A, 0.1 mg clonidine to group B 60 min before the time of induction or laryngoscopy. systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, mean arterial blood pressure and heart rate recorded before induction, pre-intubation, after intubation at 0 min, and then at interval of 1,3,5 minute after laryngoscopy by an independent observer.

Smart cities essentially require the state-of-the-art technologies that can provide smart service in various aspects, and robotic systems are one of the key solutions for such requirements. Time is a critical issue when dealing with people who experience a sudden cardiac arrest that unfortunately could Die due to inaccessibility of the emergency treatment. Therefore, an immediate treatment using automated external defibrillator (AED) must be administered to the victim within a few minutes after collapsing. Hence, we have designed and developed the ambulance robot, which brings along an AED in a sudden event of cardiac arrest and facilitates various modes of operation from manual to autonomous functioning to save someone’s lives in smart cities. The details of the design and development of such robot are presented in this paper.

The copper (II) complex [Cu(1,10-phen)(2,6-pyridinedicarboxamide)](NO3)2 has been synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV), Electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy (EPR) and Photoluminescence (PL) analysis. The copper complex was connected to two sides, 1,10-phenanthroline and 2,6 py-dicarboxamide ligands, providing a five-coordinate Cu (II) complex. The commercial heterocyclic base coordinated copper metal complex was found to have antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is noted that the commercial ligand with a copper metal complex was found to be more biologically active, and the DNA-binding properties of the copper complex were investigated by UV, PL, and cyclic voltammetry measurements. The obtained results indicate that the Cu (II) complex binding in DNA through an intercalation mode and the binding constant (Kb) value of the complex as 1.9 × 104 M−1, respectively.

In this study, calcium phosphate-chitosan nanocomposite (CaP-CS NC) was prepared by a convenient and affordable co-precipitation method, and the prepared NC was tested for agriculture application. Physico-chemicals analyses of the CaP-CS NC were conducted by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) instruments to determine the structural characteristics, surface topology, chemical composition, function group, and optical properties. The XRD pattern of CaP-CS NC revealed that the average crystallite size was 43 nm. The SEM images showed agglomeration of the CaP-CS NC with a rod-like shape. The EDS spectrum of the CaP-CS NC indicated the presence of Ca, P, O, and N elements. FTIR displayed vibrational peaks for the active functional group such as carboxylic (C=O), amines (N-H), hydroxyl (O-H), and alkyne (C-H). Furthermore, the spectrum of CaP-CS NC showed the bending mode of phosphates at 588.37 cm-1 and 508.45 cm-1. The UV-Vis-NIR spectrum of the prepared nanocomposite indicates the anti-reflection properties, which might be useful in solar cell applications to increase the efficiency of the solar cell. In addition, the prepared CaP-CS NC was tested for the plant growth stimulator properties at the lab scale level, wherein it exhibited substantial growth. Accordingly, the current study suggests that the prepared CaP-CS NC could be used as a plant growth promoter.

The use of automobiles has grown dramatically, and so has the demand for petrol and diesel. As a result, electric cars are being introduced in our country. To charge electric vehicles (EVs) in public areas, only vehicles parked in designated spaces have the capacity to charge, while others do not; it is also not cost effective to offer separate charging sites at each parking slot. Hence, this research work has designed an autonomous robot-like mobile charger, which is portable and can charge electric vehicles (EVs) at different parking spaces. Vehicle charging can be done wirelessly in order to reduce the requirement of cables. In order to ensure the comfortability and autonomous charging of the battery, the inductive charging system has been developed. Due to the advantages of the non-contact method, manufacturers are working hard to commercialize this method.

Data visualization is done on Blynk App. So that record of data can be stored over period of time .This data stored on web server so that it can seen to who logged.

This paper outlines the effect of farming systems with reference to season on the body condition score (BCS) and adaptive profile (physiological, hemato-biochemical, hormonal, enzymatic and reproductive parameters) of Nellore sheep. In trial 1, sixty ewe-lambs were allotted to extensive, semi-intensive, and intensive rearing systems (n = 20) and evaluated for BCS at puberty, mating, 2 weeks pre-lambing and 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks post-lambing. In trial 2, eighteen rams were distributed evenly to three farming systems (n = 6) and evaluated for physiological, hemato-biochemical, hormonal, enzymatic, and reproductive parameters concerning three seasons. Although the scores did not differ among the groups, the Kruskal-Wallis ranks of BCS revealed a higher energy status of intensive ewes at different physiological conditions. The sheep reared under extensive and semi-intensive systems displayed higher temperature, pulse rate and respiratory rate with predominant effects in summer season. Similarly, both systems exhibited higher WBC and lower haemoglobin, PCV, and RBC contents without affecting MVC, MCH, MCHC, and differential leucocyte count. The percent haemoglobin and RBC count were higher in winter compared to summer months, whereas WBC count followed an exactly opposite pattern. The sheep reared in intensive system showed higher glucose, total protein, albumin, cholesterol, T3, T4, calcium, and phosphorus; however, the globulin, creatinine, uric acid, aspartate amino transferase (AST), alanine amino transferase (ALT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione peroxidase, and catalase levels were elevated in extensive and semi-intensive systems. The dartos muscle extension (DME) and scrotum sweating rate (SSR) were higher for the sheep reared under extensive system, especially during summer season; while the seminal parameters viz., total sperm count, progressive sperm motility, and plasma membrane integrity were lower for extensive and semi-intensive sheep. No interactions were noticed for any of the parameters, except for cortisol, DME, and SSR, which showed significant interactions for rearing system vs. season. Our results showed dynamic adaptive mechanisms of the Nellore sheep in relation to different stressors like grazing for long distances, inadequate nutrition, and heat stress, revealing the heat resilient ability in harsh environmental conditions. Further, the analyzed vector plot showed that the AST, GPx, Cortisol, SOD, Catalase, WBC, PR, T4, total abnormalities, and major abnormalities were the major contributors for adapting during combined stressors., Adaptive profile; Farming system; Season; Sheep; Physiological parameters; Hematological parameters; Biochemical parameters; Oxidative enzymatic activity; Reproductive parameters.

The experiment was conducted with an intent to know the effect of different farming systems on the growth performance, nutrient digestibility coefficients, reproductive traits, disease incidence, heat stress indices, and cost economics of Nellore sheep. The study includes two parallel trials to prevent the influence of age on heat stress indices (panting score and erythrocyte osmotic fragility (EOF)). One hundred and twenty lambs (60 ram-lambs and 60 ewe-lambs) were allotted in a randomized block design under extensive, semi-intensive, and intensive systems for trial I, whereas trial II include eighteen rams assigned to the three respective farming systems in a completely randomised design. Both, season (summer) and grazing practice increased the panting score and EOF. The heat stress indices were positively correlated (PCommelina benghalensis, while instantaneous bite frequency (IBF), instantaneous intake rate (IIR) were higher for Cyanodon dactylon and amaranthus viridis, respectively. Nonlinear time history analysis has been carried out on both the floor isolated and non-isolated building subjected to an earthquake intensity of 0.3 g. Dynamic characteristics of the building were evaluated, and apparent dynamic magnification factors were found out which are useful for generation of floor response spectra. Seismic peak floor acceleration (PFA) is one of the significant parameters influencing performance of the building contents. In addition to PFA, spectral acceleration and displacements were selected as engineering demand parameters. Based on the acceleration and drift demands, suitable floor isolation system is suggested. With the chosen floor isolation scheme, seismic demand has been found to decrease imparting higher efficiency to the system. Accurate recommendation related to displacements and floor acceleration provisions are necessary for the efficient seismic protection design of non-structural elements.

In the present work, Low-cycle fatigue (LCF) tests were performed on A356 Aluminium alloy and A356-TiB2(5wt%) in-situ nano-composites to estimate their fatigue performance. The tests were performed by strain controlled with a strain ratio of Re = -1. The cyclic stress–strain curves were determined for each imposed strain levels. The LCF and their characterization in the cyclic plastic response of both the alloy and composites were analysed. It is interesting to note that the type of cyclic deformation behaviour in Al-Mg-Si alloys seems to be influenced by the dispersed phases and TiB2 particles. The LCF values for the A356-TiB2(5wt%) composites were found to be higher than those of the A356 alloy. The separation fatigue life’s of the A356-TiB2(5wt%) in-situ nano-composite and A356 alloy was found to be 15652 and 12350 cycles respectively. This is attributed due to the presence of minute TiB2 particles which obviously affected the microstructure, hardness, tensile strength and fatigue life of the composites compared to the base alloy. It is further noted that the LCF values of the present composites were found to be higher than those of the alloys reported in the literature.

A high performance antireflective (AR) should be a thin film with low refractive index, highly transparent, economical, and highly durable. In this paper, we present a novel synthesis of hollow Magnesium Fluoride (MgF2) nanoparticles, which is used to produce a high performance broadband antireflective coating. A formation–deformation-reformation route has been adopted to synthesize nanoparticles with hexagonal structure and cavities, which are crystalline and dispersible in any polar solvent. This facile synthesis route is a major breakthrough to achieve high performance broadband antireflective coating with an average transmittance of 98.3% in the visible range (400–800 nm) and 96.2% in active solar range (300–1500 nm). No significant drop in the efficiency was observed with antireflective-coated cover glass on the c-Si solar cell, whereas 6–7% efficiency loss was observed with uncoated glass. This can be a promising approach to develop high performance antireflective dielectric layer, which will enhance the overall performance of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems.

This study investigated the influence of multiple laser shock peening on microstructure, crystallographic texture, and pitting corrosion behavior of Aluminum-Lithium alloy 2060-T8 (in 3.5% NaCl) using EBSD, SEM and XPS techniques. Results show that microstructure and crystallographic texture were noticeably influenced by the peening passes. At single peening, plastic strain accommodation was homogenous, resulting in higher fraction of low Σ CSL boundaries, and significant crystallographic texture transformation from fibre (unpeened) into Cube {001}〈100〉 component (corresponding to dynamic recovery as plastic deformation mode) was induced. In contrast, repetitive peening (3 & 5 passes) induced heterogeneous plastic strain accommodation, developed random and low angle grain boundaries, and texture transformation from fibre to Goss {011}〈100〉, implying recrystallization as corresponding plastic deformation mode. As a result of dense atomic structured microstructures/textures, pitting corrosion after single peening was significantly lowered than that of multiple peening. Major reason for the improved corrosion behavior at single peening pass was the formation of dense and uniform α-Al2O3 type oxide film, which significantly lowered the materials dissolution. Whereas, multiple peening led to the formation of porous γ-Al2O3, θ-Al2O3 oxides and Cu-rich regions, which activated the deeper and wider pitting. Besides, the effect of precipitates (Al2CuLi, θ′ (Al2Cu) and β′ (Al3Zr)) on pitting corrosion is quantitatively examined.

This experimental study is paying attention to the fresh, mechanical, and durability performance of the self-compacting concrete containing fly ash and silica fume. Sixteen different sets of ternary blended self-compacting concrete of M30 grade are prepared as per Indian (IS: 10262-2019) [21] and European (EFNARC - 2005) [14] standards. To investigate the fresh properties (filling ability, flow ability, and segregation resistance), tests such as V- funnel test, V- funnel T5 minutes test, L- box test, slump flow test, and T500 mm slump flow time test were conducted. The compressive strength test, splitting tensile strength test, flexural strength test, and modulus of elasticity test were conducted to assess the mechanical properties of the SCC. Water absorption test, porosity, alkalinity test, acid resistance test, sulphate resistance test, salt-water resistance test and rapid chloride permeability test (RCPT) were conducted to evaluate the durability properties of the SCC. The results indicated that the fresh characteristics of ternary blended self-compacting concrete were gradually decreased when SCMs (fly ash and silica fume) replacement increases. The mechanical characteristics of ternary blended SCC were greater than that of the NSCC up to a certain limit of replacement. The durability properties of SCC were enhanced when replaced with SCMs.

The present study has been taken up with an objective to study constraints experienced by youth in dairy entrepreneurship. A sample of 220 respondents from 11 mandals were selected through proportionate random sampling from Telangana State. Inadequate availability of quality inputs at reasonable price was the major constraints among production constraints, low level of awareness about milk processing technologies was the major constraint among processing constraints, non-remunerative price of milk was the major marketing constraint and delayed payment of milk bill to farmers was major constraint among miscellaneous constraints.

The experiment, consisting families (P1, P2, F1, F2, BC1 and BC2) of 3 crosses of pearl millet viz., R-16419 × R-15114, R-15134 × R-15762, and R-15762 × ASRT-111. Joint scaling test suggested that nodes per plant and days to physiological maturity were adequate for 3 parameter model. Six parameter models revealed that both additives (d) as well as additive × additive (i) type of gene effects were significant for seed setting in cross ‘R-15134 × R-15762’. Duplicate type of epistasis was found for plant height, grain yield per plant in all three crosses of pearl millet, flag leaf length, 1000 seed weight in cross ‘R- 16419 × R-15114’, tillers per plant, panicle length, seed setting, middle leaf temperature, harvest index in cross R-16419 × R-15114 and tillers per plant, panicle length, flag leaf length, middle leaf temperature, 1000 seed weight in cross of R-15762 × ASRT-111. Significant role of epistasis revealed that both additive as well non-additive effects involved in the expression of yield and its attributes, thus, reciprocal recurrent selection would be an ideal method for population improvement. Situation like duplicate type of gene action, breeding procedures involving multiple crosses, bi-parental crosses may be restored to get transgressive segregates.
