Introduction: The involuntary flow of urine from the bladder is known as Urinary Incontinence (UI). Men and women of any age can experience incontinence, but it is more prevalent in older women. Several chronic illnesses and environmental variables increases incidence of UI in elderly adults. Most people in this modern era avoid seeking medical intervention early, due to financial worries as the current diagnostic and intervention methods are expensive. Aim: To use low-cost urinary diaper method for assessing the severity of UI and to study the effect of Kegel and therapeutic exercises in reducing the severity of UI in elderly women. Materials and Methods: This interventional study was conducted in an Inshape Physiotherapy Centre in Chennai, India. The duration of the study was five months, from August 2021 to December 2021. A total of 36 women with UI aged 55-75 years were included. The severity of UI among the participants was assessed using onehour Diaper Test (DPT), Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A) and their level of fitness was evaluated using Senior Fitness Test (SFT). Kegel exercise, pelvic floor exercises were implemented following American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) standards. Statistical analysis was carried out using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0, and data collected was subjected to descriptive statistics and paired t-test. Results: The mean age of the study participants was 69.43±3.4 years. As a result of the intervention, 13 out of 36 participants, who initially had severe UI showed improvement (10 participants improved to moderate UI and three participants improved to mild UI). Out of seven participants, who initially had moderate UI, three participants improved to mild UI. Eight out of the 36 participants showed no UI after intervention, indicating complete recovery. There is an association between the Body Mass Index (BMI), HAM-A and UI, the intervention results in the changes of BMI, and HAM-A thus, reducing the severity of UI. Conclusion: The present study showed that, cost-effective diagnostic and non invasive intervention methods reduced the severity of the UI. Objectives: (1) To motivate students for self-directed learning and to enhance their communication skills. (2) To investigate jigsaw technique for its effectiveness in learning anatomy. Cooperative education is the prime aim of this teaching–learning intervention. The students rely on each other for a collective or combined learning experience. The onus of responsibility of the work done by the student and his/her team will be evaluated by the facilitator. We would like to know whether jigsaw cooperative learning would be considered as effective interventional teaching-learning measure compared to the traditional lecture method. Materials and Methods: Sixty students of first MBBS were involved in a jigsaw session to learn anatomy. The students were divided into groups of five and a total of 12 such groups were made. The study material was also divided into five topics. The students read the study material and after becoming well versed with their topic, they taught their topic to other students. The students were asked to give feedback on the session. A surprise MCQ test was also conducted between this group and a control group of students to assess their knowledge. The results of the MCQ test were statistically analyzed. Results: The students found the jigsaw session to be more engaging than traditional classes. MCQ scores were more in the study group than in the control group. Conclusion: The jigsaw technique is both an educational and enjoyable way of teaching. Background: The suprascapular notch, is a depression on superior border of the scapula, medial to the coracoid process. It is bridged by superior transverse scapular ligament, which is sometimes ossified and converts the notch into foramen. It transmits the suprascapular nerve to the supraspinatus fossa. Morphological variations of suprascapular notch can cause entrapment of suprascapular nerve, causing suprascapular nerve entrapment syndrome, which accounts to 1 to 2% of shoulder pain in general population. The aim was to study the incidence of presence of bony supra-scapular foramen. Methods: A total of 50 dry scapulae, 25 right and 25 left were analysed to see for presence of supra - scapular foramen. Results: The incidence of suprascapular foramen was 8% of the total scapulae studied. Conclusion: Presence of supra - scapular foramen in Indian dry scapulae is high as compared to western literature. Anatomical knowledge of this foramen is important for surgeons as a cause for persistent shoulder pain, and as a risk factor during surgical explorations like supra - scapular nerve decompression. Introduction: Sphenoid sinus has got importance due to transsphenoid approach to the pituitary gland. This study is an attempt to know the variations in North Karnataka population, through cadaveric dissection and CT scan study. Objective: We want to study variations in sphenoid sinus and its percentage in North Karnataka population. Material and Methods: Endoscopic examination and dissection of sphenoid sinus was carried out in 30 cadavers (three female and 27 male) using 0°, 30°, 70° rigid nasal endoscopes. Sections were then made in the sagittal plane to confirm the anatomical findings and to take the necessary measurements with millimeter strips. Results: In six of cadavers pre-sellar, in four it was sellar and in 20 it was post-sellar while conchal type of sphenoid sinus was absent. The septa terminated on bone covering internal carotid artery (ICA) in seven cadavers while in two cadavers they terminated on the bone covering Optic nerve (ON). Findings of CT scan study were pre-sellar-8, sellar-14 and post-sellar-37 and in case of one subject left side sinus was conchal. Pneumatization of greater wing of sphenoid was observed in two sinuses, of pterygoid process in four sinuses and of anterior clinoid process in two sinuses. We also found onodi cell in one sinus. Conclusion: Sphenoid sinus shows various types of pneumatisation, and this place the sinus in close proximity to important neurovascular structures that are present around the sinus. Assessment drives learning, For the past years, we have been using an Traditional oral exam i.e. one examiner or tow examiner taking oral examination of one student, as a part of the examination process for the First MBBS formative and summative assessment. There appears to be tremendous variation on what constitutes the "traditional" oral examination. Studies analyzing characteristics of oral examinations vary most often by format and number of examiners. Considering above pros and cons of traditional oral examination and on the basis of examiners' feedback, the new format of viva voce examination is started in the form of "Small Group Structured Oral Examination"(SGSOE). In SGSOE Students will be divided in the small group of 10 to 12 students in each group. They have to sit in chronological order in group. Two examiners will be assigned to group . For examination, according to roll no, they have to randomly select a chit from box. Than student has to give answer of main question mention in structured viva card of the topic Than rest of the students one by one, has to give answer of leading question related to that topic. after completion of Group Viva (GV) group of two examiner present at group viva will decides Marks, depending number of topic attend by all the students.
