Introduction: Deaths show the epidemiological scenario of the community and allow the planning of effective strategies for the prevention of deaths, mainly by immunopreventable and preventable causes, but for this the surveillance of death must have quality. Epidemiological studies should be carried out periodically to verify the epidemiological pattern of the causes. Objective: To investigate the trends of mortality from leading causes in Brazil from 2011 to 2020. Methodology: Ecological study, with secondary and public data, referring to the national surveillance of deaths. A descriptive and analytical analysis of the deaths per federation unit in Brazil was performed. We contrasted a graph with the six main causes and their trends, which was performed by the R2 equation. We calculated the mortality rate for 2011 and compared it with 2020. We also presented the mortality rates in a choroplectic map. The data were analyzed in Excel 2019, from aggregated data from DATASUS. Results: The period of the study analyzed 12,899,133 million deaths in Brazil, and we highlight the six main causes.: IX Diseases of the circulatory system 3,498,722 (27.12%) upward trend 81%, II Neoplasms (tumors) 2,114,222 (16. 39%) increasing trend 96%, XX External causes of morbidity and mortality 1,512,786 (11.73%), X Respiratory system diseases 1,459,945 (11.52%) increasing trend 71%, IV Endocrine, nutritional and metabolic diseases 786,693 (6.10%) increasing trend 80%. We highlight the highest mortality rates in the federal units in the southeast, south, and northeast of Brazil. Rio de Janeiro had the highest mortality in 2011 611/100,000 inhabitants and also in 2020 785/100,000 inhabitants. Followed by Rio Grande do Sul in 2011 596/100,000 inhabitants and 2020 650/100,000 inhabitants. Conclusion: We evidenced the tendency of increase in diseases of the circulatory system, respiratory, neoplasms and metabolic endocrine. Highlighting for neoplasms leading all causes, followed by diseases of the circulatory system, which was already known as the leading cause and annual increase. The public policies for the prevention of chronic diseases in Brazil must be strengthened, along with primary health care, to improve the scenario of deaths in Brazil.

Objective: Identified predictors of death for hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in the First Year of the Pandemic in Northern Brazil. Methods: A longitudinal retrospective cohort study was carried out, using data from the Brazilian Ministry of Health's COVID-19 severe case and hospitalization notification forms, considering the period from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. The extracted variables were related to the epidemiological profile and outcome of the disease. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, with chi-square test by contingency table, binary logistic regression, and survival analysis. Results: Those vaccinated against influenza were associated with survivors in univariate and multivariate analysis, as well as survival analysis. The predictors of lethality were invasive ventilation (OR 6.627; CI 5.780–7.597), other pneumopathy (OR 1.901; CI 1.439–2.510), dyspnea (OR 1.899; CI 1.737–2.076), immunodeficiency (OR 1.905; CI 1.493–2.431), hospitalized in ICU (OR 1.764; CI 1.588–1.959), chronic kidney disease (OR 1.753; CI 1.396–2.203), diabetes mellitus (OR 1.210; CI 1.108–1.321), and male sex (OR 1.198; CI 1.111–1.293). Conclusion: Those vaccinated against influenza were associated with survival; namely, they showed a lower risk of death in the regression and showed longer survival in the survival analysis, when compared to those who were not vaccinated. The lethality was higher than the other studies, while the predictors were similar. Evidencing that COVID-19 had more impact on deaths, which may be associated with the vulnerability factors of the region.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has already affected Brazil dramatically, but the northern region of the country has suffered greater impacts due to regional vulnerability factors. Objective: To describe the factors associated with deaths in hospitalized cancer patients and COVID-19 in the state of Pará, Brazil. Methods: Cross-sectional study with data from epidemiological surveillance of acute and severe respiratory syndromes of hospitalized cases notified from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020. Clinical and outcome variables, chi-square test, and Odds ratio were analyzed. Results: 164 cases, lethality represented 94 (57.32%). The mean overall age was 63 years, of survivors was 60 years and of deaths was 66 years. Advanced age was associated with deaths (p-0.039). Male gender was associated with deaths (65.96% - p- 0.006 - OR 2,438 - CI 1,291-4,604). Similarly, the signs and symptoms associated with death were dyspnea (80.85% - p- 0.028 - OR 2,203 - CI 1,080-4,491), respiratory distress (76.60% - p- 0.003 - OR 2,756 - CI 1,410-5,387), O2 saturation

Indigenous people are considered more vulnerable to new infectious agents. In view of the novel coronavirus causing COVID-19, health authorities are concerned about the possible impact of the pandemic on reaching vulnerable populations, such as the indigenous people of the Brazilian Amazon. Thus, we aimed to carry out an epidemiological analysis of serious cases and deaths from COVID-19 in indigenous population in the state of Pará, Brazil. The data was obtained from the public Ministry of Health platform. Data analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 20, Chi-square of adherence, the independence test and G test. For spatial distribution was used ArcGIS. We observed 123 COVID-19 cases: 46 deaths (37.40%), male gender (76-61.79%), age above 60 years (61- 49.6%), the most frequent risk factor was chronic cardiovascular disease (18- 14.63%). The predictors of death were: invasive ventilation has (6.8) more chances for the outcome death, those not vaccinated against influenza have (3.5) and age (1.4). COVID-19 occurrence was higher in municipalities that have villages with health care or commerce, or with migrants from the Warao ethnic group. Notifications should take into consideration the specific issues of indigenous people so that effective control measures can be defined.

The Brazilian Northern region registered a high incidence of COVID-19 cases, particularly in the state of Pará. The present study investigated the risk factors associated with the severity of COVID-19 in a Brazilian Amazon region of 100,819 cases. An epidemiological, cross-sectional, analytical and demographic study, analyzing data on confirmed cases for COVID-19 available at the Brazilian Ministry of Health's surveillance platform, was conducted. Variables such as, municipalities of residence, age, gender, signs and symptoms, comorbidities were included and associated with COVID-19 cases and outcomes. The spatial distribution was performed using the ArcGIS program. A total of 100,819 cases were evaluated. Overall, patients had the mean age of 42.3 years, were female (51.2%) and with lethality reaching 4.79% of cases. Main symptoms included fever (66.5%), cough (61.9%) and sore throat (39.8%). Regarding comorbidities, most of the patients presented cardiovascular disease (5.1%) and diabetes (4.2%). Neurological disease increased risk of death by nearly 15 times, followed by obesity (5.16 times) and immunodeficiency (5.09 time). The municipalities with the highest incidence rate were Parauapebas, Canaã dos Carajás and Jacareacanga. Similarity between the Lower Amazon, Marajó and Southwest mesoregions of Pará state were observed concerning the highest morbidity rates. The obtained data demonstrated that the majority of cases occurred among young adults, females, with the classic influenza symptoms and chronic diseases. Finally, data suggest that the highest incidences were no longer in the metropolitan region of the state. The higher lethality rate than in Brazil may be associated with the greater impacts of the disease in this Amazonian population, or factors associated with fragile epidemiological surveillance in the notification of cases of cure.

In the absence of an analysis of deaths at home from an epidemiological perspective, this study aims to analyze and describe the epidemiological profile of deaths at home assessed by the Death Ceremony Service (DCS) during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in the metropolitan region of the Brazilian Amazon, Bel?m do Par?. A descriptive, quantitative, secondary-based study based on the databases of the Mortality Information System (SIM), referring to the deaths that occurred from March 1 to March 27 June 2020. The variables worked were related to the profile and the causes in the death certificate. The causes of home deaths in 2019 were used to compare with 2020. In the indicated period, 1,203 deaths occurred, an increase of 454% in relation to 2019. The male gender (57.30%), the age group of 60+ (80.80%) and brown race (77.70%) were the most frequent. The main cause of death Acute myocardial infarction (15.05%) followed by COVID-19 (10.29%). During the pandemic, the majority of home deaths were not directly caused by COVID-19, however, they were influenced by it due to the need for social isolation, with the impossibility of obtaining the proper diagnosis or proper treatment, due to the impossibility of on-site care or lack of immediate response.

When considering the elderly, we must realize the profound particularities in their daily lives, because the elderly has vulnerabilities that result from the aging process. This study aims to develop a systematic review followed by meta-synthesis based on the findings of qualitative primary scientific research, on nursing care in the face of Functional Incapacity of the Elderly in Primary Health Care starting with the research question: How does the nursing care process for elderly people with functional incapacity occur in primary health care? This is a systematic literature review with the elaboration of meta-synthesis. The search for the articles occurred in the databases of the Regional Portal VHL (Virtual Health Library); Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD); PubMed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. The sample consisted of seven original articles of qualitative methodology, one of which was a mixed method. Data analysis followed the guidance of content analysis. The thematic category was identified: The process of nursing care for elderly patients with functional incapacity focuses on primary health care. It was concluded that nurses take care of elderly people with functional incapacity in the basic health unit, at home and in nursing homes, evaluating, planning, and implementing activities that prevent risks, treat complaints and integrate these elderly people into community projects. This care is performed through nursing consultation, integrated into programs, and using tools and protocols.

The new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) emerged in Wuhan in China in December 2019, causing severe pneumonias and deaths, soon in March 2020 it reached pandemic level, affecting several countries including Brazil. The disease was named COVID-19, with characteristics of most infected having mild and moderate symptoms and a part severe symptom. The disease has already reached 158 ethnic groups, which have high vulnerability and limited access to health services. The objective is to investigate the clinical and spatial characteristics of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome of COVID-19 in the indigenous peoples of Brazil. It is an epidemiological, cross-sectional, analytical ecological study, based on data from the OpenDataSUS platform from 01/01/2020 to 31/08/2020. Profile variables, signs and symptoms and risk factors/comorbidities. The data were analyzed by Bioestat 5.3. There were 1,207 cases and 470 deaths. Profile: male gender (59.48%) means age 53 years. Signs and symptoms: fever (74.23%), cough (77.71%), sore throat (35.62%), dyspnea (69.34%), respiratory discomfort (62.80%), O2 saturation

The COVID-19 reached the pandemic level and in Brazil has already caused 100,477 deaths. This study is a Short Communication about the spatial distribution of deaths by COVID-19 in Brazil, from data from the Coronavirus Brasil platform. It was shown that Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Ceará, Pará, and Amazonas present the greatest lethality in Brazil, especially in the metropolitan regions. The distribution of deaths shows that it has already reached all regions of Brazil, with greater impact in some states. It was also possible, from the epidemiological bulletins, to identify that the deaths stand out in men above 60 years of age, with comorbidities such as heart diseases and diabetes.

Objective: Describe the epidemiological profile of patients seen in an outpatient clinic in a region of the Amazon. Methodology: A cross-sectional, exploratory, descriptive survey with a quantitative approach, conducted in an outpatient clinic of health specialties of a Private Higher Education Institution (HEI) of Belém-Pará, from February to March 2019. With a range of 100 participants. From the application of a form on the socio-demographic, health and food profile. The data were analyzed by Bioestat version 5.3. Results: 65% female, average age 43, 67% up to a minimum wage, 54% single, 51% with complete high school, 86% from the metropolitan region of Belém, 76% own a home, 75% have basic sanitation, 56% have running water, 50% with a family group of 4 to 6 members, 81% are not smokers, 59% are not alcoholics, 93% have no health plan, 42% in medical treatment, 72% report complete immunization, 79% 3 to 4 meals/day, 59% do not consume canned food, 62% consume fried food weekly, 52% consume fruit and vegetables daily, 60% consume red meat weekly, 51% consume white meat weekly, 50% do not consume soft drinks, 37% do not practice physical activities. Conclusion: Are young adults, with low schooling, low income, inadequate nutrition, who do not engage in physical activities, however most of them have a current vaccination picture, and inadequate basic sanitation. These are determining factors in the quality of life of these individuals, being characteristics of a developing country, and that health interventions and policies should be implemented to promote health.

Objetivo: Descrever a satisfação dos usuários dos serviços de saúde de uma Estratégia Saúde da Famí­lia, de um municí­pio do estado do Pará. Método: Pesquisa de campo descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa. A coleta de dados se deu por meio de entrevista semiestruturada com 20 usuários homens e mulheres adultos, no mês de setembro de 2019. A análise de conteúdo seguiu orientação de Bardin. Resultados: Emergiram do estudo três categorias temáticas: Tema 1- A satisfação dos usuários com o acesso ao atendimento na unidade. Tema 2 - A Satisfação dos usuários com o atendimento terapêutico na unidade e o Tema 3 – A satisfação dos usuários com as relações interpessoais na unidade. Conclusão: Os usuários estão satisfeitos quanto acessibilidade e atendimento na unidade; que compreendem sobre seu problema de saúde e o que deve ser feito para seu controle; que as relações interpessoais são importantes para que se sintam bem acolhidos.

Objective: to understand the perception of hospitalized users about humanized nursing care in a municipal hospital in Itaituba, Pará. Field study of exploratory and descriptive type of qualitative approach. Method and Procedures: The research was developed in a Municipal Hospital of Itaituba, Pará (HMI); 23 patients hospitalized in the medical and surgical clinic sector participated in the research. Data were collected by means of a semi-structured interview questionnaire made up of two parts: socioeconomic data from the survey participants and open questions on the perception of the hospitalized user about the humanized care received during hospitalization, which were collected using the saturation technique. The data analysis was performed using the Bardin technique. Results: 78% of the participants were female, 48% married, the prevailing age range was between 19 and 87 years old; 39% of the surveyed had incomplete primary education and 74% had income of up to one minimum wage. With the analysis of content three thematic categories emerged: "user perception of nursing care", "humanized care and its importance" and "evaluation and suggestions on nursing care". Conclusion: The great majority of participants of the survey showed to be satisfied with the care provided by nursing professionals, besides highlighting humanization as an important point for reestablishing health and highlighted the use of communication, attention and empathy for others as a factor of humanization.

Introdução: No Brasil, o primeiro caso confirmado da COVID-19 foi registrado em 26 de fevereiro de 2020 em São Paulo com avanço rápido pelo país, com transmissão comunitária declarada no território nacional em 20 de março de 2020. O estado do Pará registrou o primeiro caso no dia 18 de março e no dia 25 de julho de 2020 assumiu o quarto lugar em número absoluto de casos no país, com 148.463 casos confirmados e 5.716 óbitos. Objetivos: Diante da ausência de análise de óbitos em domicílio na perspectiva epidemiológica, o presente estudo objetiva analisar e descrever o perfil epidemiológico dos óbitos ocorridos em domicílio avaliados pelo Serviço de Cerificação de Óbitos (SVO) durante a primeira onda da pandemia por coronavírus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) na região metropolitana de Belém, estado do Pará. Material e métodos: Estudo descritivo, quantitativo, de base secundária, a partir dos bancos de dados do Sistema de Informação de Mortalidade (SIM), referentes aos óbitos ocorridos de 1 de março à 27 de junho de 2020. As variáveis trabalhadas foram referentes ao perfil e as causas definidas na declaração de óbito. Foram utilizadas as causas de óbitos domiciliares de 2019 para comparação com 2020. Resultados: No período indicado ocorreram 1.203 mortes, aumento de 454% em relação a 2019. O sexo masculino (57,30%), a faixa etária de 60+ (80,80%) e a raça parda (77,70%) foram os mais frequentes. A principal causa de óbitos foi infarto agudo do miocárdio (15,05%) seguida por COVID-19 (10,29%). Conclusão: Durante a pandemia os óbitos domiciliares em sua maioria não foram diretamente ocasionados por COVID-19. Todavia, os óbitos foram influenciados devido a necessidade do isolamento social, com a impossibilidade de obter o próprio diagnóstico ou tratamento adequado, além da impossibilidade de atendimento no local ou falta de resposta imediata.

Malaria is an acute febrile infectious disease that represents an important public health problem in the Brazilian amazon region. The present study described the socio-epidemiological and spatial characteristics of malaria in a population from the Tapajós mining areas, Pará, Brazilian Amazon. A cross-sectional study, including individuals from Itaituba city, an area under mining activity influence, was conducted. The geographic coordinates were obtained in the field using the Global Positioning System (GPS) Garmin 78csx, for spatial analysis, we used the Kernel Density Estimator with the application of scanning statistics with the SaTScan software. Of the 908 individuals, 311 were positive for malaria. Most of the malaria cases were associated with male individuals, gold miners and with a monthly income of 4-6 salaries. Binary logistic regression analysis demonstrated that gold miners were nearly five times more likely to acquire malaria. In addition, a context of risk for sexually transmitted infections, substance abuse and poor support conditions was observed, worsening the healthcare scenario in this endemic area for malaria. The spatial distribution of malaria cases is irregular in the municipality with hotspot areas located in the Amana Flona that coincide with areas of illegal mining and high human mobility. Finally, the presented socio-epidemiological and spatial distribution data may aid in the development of more effective control measures for malaria in the area.

Aims: To verify the scientific evidence in the literature about nursing care after coronary transluminal angioplasty, from 2005 to 2019. Methodology: This is an Integrative Review, performed in the LILACS, MEDLINE and Google Scholar databases, including original and review articles, theses, dissertations and monographs published in Portuguese or English in the last 15 years (2005-2019). Data were collected using the Ursi’s instrument and data analysis was carried out by the use Bardin’s Content Analysis. Results: 06 articles were found and two categories emerged: Nursing diagnoses after coronary transluminal angioplasty and Nursing interventions after coronary transluminal angioplasty. The nursing process should be carried out in its entirety so that the results of nursing care are effective and the improvement of the quality of the services provided is continuous. Conclusion: it is concluded that nursing actions are beyond bedside care, as they also include management services of inputs and human resources.

Heart Failure is characterized by a complex clinical syndrome in which the myocardium has an inability to adequately pump blood to meet tissue metabolic needs, or can do so only at high filling pressures. Thus, the aim of this study is to describe the Nursing Diagnostics in patients with Cardiac Failure described in the scientific literature. It is a descriptive, exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, in the modality Integrative Literature Review. In Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences and PubMed databases, including original articles, case studies and systematic review, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, published from 2014. Tabulation was used for data collection and analysis. Seven articles were searched and the following nursing diagnoses were highlighted: Harmful Comfort; Acute Pain; Disposition to Improve Comfort; Decreased Cardiac Output; Excessive Liquid Volume; Ineffective Respiratory Pattern; Intolerance to Activity; Fatigue; Anxiety; Sexual Dysfunction; Disabled Knowledge; Ineffective Cardiopulmonary Tissue Perfusion. It was concluded that heart failure is a complex pathology and that the use of the systematization of nursing care only enhances the quality of service and benefits the patient, because from the nursing diagnostcs it is possible to prescribe evidence-based interventions.

Background: Cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of death in Brazil and worldwide, being influenced by the presence of risk factors. In the current life context, these factors are increasingly present in individuals, also related to occupation, which require extensive workload, performance, reasoning, goal plan and maximum dedication from the individual, as is the case of undergraduate teachers in Brazil. Objective: To identify cardiovascular risk factors in teaching nurses of a private higher education institution (HEI) in Belém, PA, Brazil. Study Design: A cross-sectional, descriptive survey study with a quantitative approach. At a private HEI in Belém-PA, in March and April 2019. Methodology: Performed with 11 teachers nurses that the HEI had. A form was used on the teacher's profile and risk factors. Data were analyzed by simple descriptive statistics through the Bioestat 5.0 program. Results: They are young adults, married, with an extensive workload; 45.45% of them have already had alterations in the HDL and LDL levels, with a family history of Systemic Arterial Hypertension 72.73% and Diabetes Mellitus 81.82%. 45.45% use oral contraceptives. They have a low-fiber diet, rich in lipids and sodium, and practice physical activity. 72.73% consume alcoholic beverages, and none are smokers. Conclusion: The teaching profession, due to extensive workload and stressful activities, offers a risk for inadequate nutrition, sedentary lifestyle, and lack of time for leisure. These factors are associated with other existing factors, which may increase the chances of cardiovascular diseases in these professionals.

Leprosy is an immunopathology caused by M. leprae; its evolution depends on immunological and genetic aspects of the host. The objective was verifying the relationship between SNPs 2029 and 2258 of the TLR-2 gene and leprosy. Blood samples from 127 individuals were analyzed: 45 patients, being 34 multibacillary (MB) and 11 paucibacillary (PB) and 82 contacts, in the municipalities of the State of Para-Brazil. SNPs 2029 and 2258 of the TLR-2 gene were genotyped by sequencing on the ABI 3130 Genetic Analyzer (Applied Biosystems), analyzed using Fisher’s exact test. Distribution of SNP 2029 genotypes: all MB individuals presented the C/C genotype and the mutant (C/T) genotype was observed in contacts and PB. Alleles: all MB individuals presented only C allele and the mutant allele (T) was observed in contacts and PB. SNP 2258 genotypes: 79 contacts had G/G genotype and only 3 had G/A genotype, the MB group had only G/G genotype and the PB group was predominant G/G, with only 1 G/A genotype. Alleles: all MB individuals had allele G and the mutant allele (A) was observed in contacts and PB. The association between the SNPs and the susceptibility or protection to leprosy was not observed.

Chagas' cardiomyopathy is a complication of Chagas' disease that presents in the cardiac form, which involves the manifestation of a clinical picture of dilated cardiomyopathy, with global left ventricular dysfunction and heart failure syndrome. In this context, the aim is to describe the Nursing Diagnosis evidenced in the literature in patients with Chagasic Cardiomyopathy. This is a descriptive and exploratory study of the Integrative Literature Review (ILR), with a qualitative approach. We searched the LILACS and PubMed databases for articles published without time limit, in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with the descriptors: Chagasic Cardiomyopathy; Nursing Diagnosis; Nursing Care. Data were analyzed by tabulation. Three articles were sought for the sample. The following Nursing diagnoses were highlighted: Decreased Cardiac Output; Intolerance to Activity; Poor Knowledge; Sleep and Rest impaired; Anxiety; Excessive fluid volume; Risk of impaired skin integrity; and Comfort impaired. It is concluded that the diagnoses are directly related to heart failure caused by ventricular damage, and that interventions are essential for the improvement in the quality of life of patients. It is also noteworthy that the applicability of the Systematization of Nursing Care in these patients only improves the quality of service and has repercussions on patient safety, being also a way to promote the health of patients.

Objetivo: Investigar as dificuldades e contribuições do estágio supervisionado sob a ótica dos estudantes de enfermagem de uma instituição privada do municí­pio de Belém-Pa. Método: Estudo de caráter exploratório, de campo com abordagem qualitativa. A coleta de dados, por meio de entrevista semiestruturada ocorreu no mês de maio de 2019. A análise de dados foi de conteúdo segundo Bardin. Resultados: Evidenciaram-se uma divergência equilibrada entre os participantes, sobre o estágio como lugar de aprendizagem, visto que ao pensar sobre esse aspecto os estudantes associam a aprendizagem, ao relacionar teoria com a prática clí­nica e a realização de procedimentos técnicos especí­ficos das atividades de enfermagem. Os estudantes identificam as dificuldades e as suas consequências para seu aprendizado e a contribuição do estágio para sua formação profissional. Conclusão: O estágio supervisionado é o momento de se desenvolverem competências e habilidades de ser enfermeiro tanto no aspecto assistencial, quanto gerencial.

Objetivo: Identificar as ações assistenciais-educativas da enfermagem ao paciente com Doença Renal Crônica em uso de hemodiálise e como estas tem contribuí­do no processo de adaptação do paciente. Método: Trata-se de revisão integrativa da literatura realizada nas bases de dados da Literatura Latino-Americana (LILACS) e National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health dos EUA (PUBMED), sendo selecionada a amostra de 11 artigos. Resultados: Os artigos encontrados descrevem as contribuições das ações assistenciais-educativas de enfermagem aos pacientes com Doença Renal Crônica em necessidade de hemodiálise, no que tange ao seu processo de adaptação e integridade. Conclusão: As condutas de enfermagem com maior grau de mudança e condução de melhores resultados foram as ações educativas, com consequentes redução de risco, redução da progressão de lesão renal.

Este estudo objetivou descrever o perfil clínico-epidemiológico dos casos de cardiopatia congênita atendidos em hospital de referência no estado do Pará – Brasil. Estudo ecológico, descritivo, retrospectivo, de base populacional, onde foram utilizados dados do cadastro dos pacientes atendidos no período entre janeiro de 2012 e dezembro de 2016, e para decodificação das informações dos municípios de procedência usou-se base de dados do Censo de 2010 e do sistema milionésimo do IBGE. Todos os pacientes tiveram diagnóstico confirmado pelo menos por ecocardiograma. As variáveis foram: gênero, idade, tipo de cardiopatia, tratamento realizado e tempo de espera. Dos 905 casos observados, 52% tinham mais de 01 ano de idade ao diagnóstico, 75,1% apresentaram cardiopatia acianótica, tendo sido a mais frequente a comunicação interventricular (21%). Entre as cardiopatias cianóticas, a Tetralogia de Fallot foi a mais frequente (12%). Não houve predomínio de gênero. No momento da avaliação, 55,7% dos pacientes encontravam-se aguardando tratamento, 33,8% haviam sido submetidos a cirurgia, 5,3% haviam sido operados e submetidos a tratamento hemodinâmico e 5,2% haviam sido submetidos exclusivamente a tratamento hemodinâmico. A letalidade durante o período estudado foi de 9,61%, dos quais 83,9% haviam sido submetidos a tratamento cirúrgico. Existem dificuldades de acesso ao diagnóstico e tratamento, sobretudo nos municípios mais distantes da capital do Estado.

Introdução: A COVID-19 surgiu em Wuhan na China em dezembro de 2019, logo alcançou o nível de pandemia causando milhares de mortes no mundo. Se apresenta em sua maioria casos gripais leves, entretanto pode evoluir para uma síndrome respiratória grave que é responsável pelas hospitalizações e óbitos. Objetivo: Descrever o perfil epidemiológico e espacial dos casos confirmados de Síndrome Gripal (SG) por COVID-19 no estado do Pará. Método: Estudo descritivo e ecológico, referente aos casos de COVID-19 notificados no E-SUS VE. A partir das variáveis do perfil epidemiológico, distribuição espacial e tendência temporal da doença. Resultados: A distribuição espacial mostrou que a concentração dos casos localiza-se nos municípios do Sul do estado. Nas viariáveis do perfil: sexo feminino (53,16%), faixa etária (61,14%) 30 e 59 anos, doenças cardíacas crônicas representou (41,99%), diabetes (31,22%) e (16,30%) doenças respiratórias crônicas Profissionais da saúde infectados (8%). Características clínicas: febre (71,99%),tosse (64,57%) e dor de garganta (46,78%). Critério de confirmação: teste rápido- anticorpo (84.39%), teste rápido antígeno (7.61%) e RT-PCR (7.48%). Na tendência temporal da doença evidenciou-se o pico de casos na 20º semana epidemiológica. Conclusão: A maioria mulheres, doenças cardíacas e diabetes mais evidentes, confirmados a maioria por teste rápido e sintomatologia clássica da SG. Observou-se o achatamento da curva após a 21º semana, possivelmente, por conta da intervenção lockdown. Entretanto mostrou-se a alta de casos na data de 07/07/2020 em diversas regiões, especificamente em municípios da região sul do estado.

Cardiovascular Diseases represent the main cause of death in the world, and are associated with risk factors that cause serious complications in cases of infections, such as those of the respiratory tract. In March 2020 the World Health Organization declared a pandemic for SARS-CoV-2, a new coronavirus causing severe pneumonia, which emerged in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. The objective is to investigate the occurrence of cardiovascular complications associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection. It is a systematic review, quantitative, in the databases, PubMed and Science direct, including primary studies with hospitalized patients confirmed for COVID-19 and who presented cardiovascular complications, the form used tools for evaluation of quality and evidence, following the PRISMA recommendations. Results: 12 studies were included. The occurrence of cardiovascular complications was: 27.35% of the sample of 3,316 patients. Types: Acute cardiac injury 17.09%; Thromboembolism 4.73%; Heart failure 3.43%; Arrhythmias 1.77%; stroke 0.33%. Mean age 61 years. Conclusions: This study showed that there are several cardiovascular complications associated with SARS-CoV-2, that the main one is acute cardiac injury, which causes several instabilities in the cardiopulmonary system, and that it is associated with mortality.
