Abstract

De invloed van het EU-recht op nationaal recht is heel lang een onbekende factor gebleven. Europees Unierecht en bestuursrecht worden nog vaak als twee aparte rechtstakken gezien, die gescheiden worden bestudeerd. Zoals echter geldt voor andere rechtstakken, laat de invloed van het Europees Unierecht zich ook meer en meer voelen in het bestuursrecht. Nationale besturen moeten meer en meer rekening houden met het Europees Unierecht, wanneer zij een beslissing nemen. Abstract

Digital meters for electricity and gas, which are connected to an information infrastructure are an important component of the smart metering and smart grid infrastructure being deployed. Besides technical and business perspectives, such infrastructure has an impact on the consumer and on authorities that have public service obligations. This paper discusses those elements, also in the context of the assessment that is needed for the European directives 2009/72/EC and 2009/73/EC. Abstract

The article discusses selected developments in international environment law, as of February 2005. It includes highlights of the 28th session of the World Heritage Committee in Sushou, China, during which 34 new properties were added to the World Heritage List. The article also reports on the adoption of the revised regulations to prevent marine pollution by ships carrying oil or chemicals at the 52nd session of the International Maritime Organization's Marine Environment Protection Committee held October 11-15, 2004. Also mentioned is the addition of 14 hazardous chemicals to the Prior Informed Consent list at the first conference of the parties to the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade.
