The energy, which is of great importance for developed and developing countries has been an indispensable element for the countries with the industrial revolution. The main reason why energy is so important for countries is the increasing energy supply and demand. Since the demand for energy is on the constant rise as a result of industrialization, population growth and technological innovations, the fossil fuel supplies, limited in reserve, are on the constant decrease. Also, the CO2 emission, resulted from the use of fossil fuels, cause irreversible destruction on the ecological system. Because of all these reasons, the use of renewable energy sources should be encouraged for the continuity of the sustainable development.The aim of this study is to argue the contribution of renewable energy policies in Turkey in terms of sustainable growth through examining in detail the country's renewable energy potential and the policies for renewable energy sources. The study is composed of three sections. In the first section of the study, the definition and types of energy and its importance for sustainable development are presented. This section also includes the growth in demand and supply for fossil and renewable energy sources in the world. In the second section of the study, the balance of supply and demand in Turkey according to the type of energy is presented and the physical and economic potential of Turkey's renewable energy resources is questioned. Also, policies and incentives for the development of renewable energy sources are summarized. In the third and final section, the future macro-economic impacts of renewable energy policies in Turkey and their contributions to the sustainable economic development are examined. Gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkeler için büyük önem taşıyan enerji sanayi devrimiyle birlikte ülkeler için vazgeçilmez bir unsur olmuştur. Enerjinin ülkeler için bu kadar önemli olmasında enerji arz ve talebi büyük önem taşımaktadır. Enerji talebi sanayileşme, gelir artışı, nüfus artışı ve teknolojik ilerlemelere bağlı olarak sürekli artış gösterdiği için rezervi sınırlı olan fosil enerji kaynakları azalmaktadır. Ayrıca fosil enerji kaynaklarının kullanımından kaynaklanan CO2 emisyonu ekolojik sistem üzerinde geri dönüşü olmayan tahribatlara neden olmaktadır. Tüm bu nedenlere bağlı olarak sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın devamlılığı için yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının kullanımı teşvik edilmelidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'nin yenilenebilir enerji potansiyelini, yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının geliştirilmesine yönelik politikaların neler olduğunu detaylı bir şekilde inceleyerek, uygulanan yenilenebilir enerji politikalarının sürdürülebilir büyüme açısından ülkeye katkılarını tartışmaktır. Çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, enerjinin tanımı, türleri ve sürdürülebilir ekonomik kalkınma için önemi ele alınmaktadır. Bu bölümde ayrıca dünyada fosil ve yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarına ilişkin arz ve talep gelişimine yer verilmektedir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde Türkiye'de türlerine göre enerji arz ve talep dengesi sunulmakta ve Türkiye'de yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının teknik ve ekonomik potansiyelinin ne olduğu sorgulanmaktadır. Üçüncü ve sonuç bölümde ise yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının geliştirilmesine yönelik politikalar ve teşvikler özetlenmektedir. Ayrıca Türkiye'de uygulanan yenilenebilir enerji politikalarının makro ekonomik etkilerinin neler olacağı ve sürdürülebilir ekonomik kalkınmaya katkıları sorgulanmaktadır. 148

A number of benzimidazole derivatives (1-8) were synthesized and the catalytic activity of these compounds in a catalytic system including Pd(OAc)2 and K2CO3 in DMF-H2O was evaluated in Heck-Mizoroki and Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions of aryl iodides, bromides, and chlorides with styrene and arylboronic acids under microwave irradiation and aerobic conditions. The yields of both the Heck-Mizoroki and the Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling reactions with aryl iodides and aryl bromides were nearly quantitative. The synthesized 1-substituted benzimidazole (1) and benzimidazole salts (2-8) were identified by 1H- and 13C-NMR and IR spectroscopic methods, and micro analysis. The molecular structure of 7 was also determined by X-ray crystallography.

Benzimidazoller ve türevleri doğal olarak oluşan birçok üründe ve değişik ilaçların yapısında da bulunmasından dolayı kapsamlı olarak çalışılmaktadır. Diğer taraftan, benzimidazol temelli N-heterohalkalı karbenler (NHC ler) bir çok katalitik tepkimede daha pahalı fosfin ligantlarına alternatif olarak kullanılmakta ve ligant olarak kendilerini değerli kılan bir çok ilginç özellikler sergilemektedirler.Ham maddelerin maksimum kullanımı ve minimum atık madde oluşumu kaygısı hem laboratuarda hemde endüstride, tepkimeler için uygun katalizörlerin araştırılmasını özendirmektedir.Son yıllarda mikrodalga ile yüksek hızlı sentezler önemli miktarda dikkat çekmektedir. Mikrodalga hızlı ısıtmanın tepkime sürelerini ciddi şekilde azaltması birçok avantajlarından sadece bir tanesidir.Benzimidazol yapısı içeren bir çok organometalik bileşiğin etkin katalitik özellikler sergilediği bilinmektedir.Bu nedenlerden dolayı, bu tezde karben öncülü benzimidazol tuzları sentezlendi ve Suzuki, Heck ve halka kapama tepkimelerindeki katalitik aktiviteleri mikrodalga destekli ve mikrodalga kullanılmaksızın araştırıldı.Benzimidazol bileşiklerinin seçilen tepkimelerdeki katalitik aktiviteleri GC-MS teknikleriyle belirlendi. Benzimidazol tuzlarının Suzuki ve Heck tepkimelerindeki optimum katalitik aktiviteleri 5 dakika mikrodalga ışınlamada elde edildi.Bu çalışmada sentezlenen bütün yeni bileşiklerin yapısı 1H-NMR, {1H}-13C-NMR, FT-IR spektroskopik teknikleri ve element analiz teknikleriyle aydınlatıldı. Benzimidazoles and their derivatives have been extensively studied because they are present in many naturally occurring products and various drugs. On the other hand, benzimidazole based N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) have been exhibited many interesting properties that make them valuable as ligand used as an alternative to the more expensive phosphine ligands in many catalytic reactions.Concerns for maximal use of raw materials and minimal generation of waste products stimulate the search for appropriate catalyst for the reactions both in laboratory and industry.High-speed synthesis with microwaves has attracted a considerable amount of attention in recent years. The efficiency of microwave flash heating in dramatically reducing reaction times is just one of the many advantages.It has been known that, many organometallic compound having benzimidazole moiety exhibit efficient catalytic properties.Due to these reasons, in this thesis, carbene precursors benzimidazole salts were synthesised and their catalytic properties were investigated in Suzuki, Heck and Ring closure reactions with and without microwave. The catalytic activities of the benzimidazole compounds were determined in the selected reactions using by GC-MS techniques. The optimum catalytic activities of the benzimidazole salts in Suzuki ve Heck reactions were obtained 5 minutes microwave irradiation.Structure of all new compounds synthesised in this work were identified by 1H-NMR, {1H}-13C-NMR, FT-IR spectroscopic techniques, and micro analysis. 154

As a result of the experiments it's not examined that whether the compounds show physiological characteristics of auxins just experiments and results about synthesize of that kind of compounds are presented. In these experiments chloroacetic acid, methyl chloroacetate and 2- chloroacetamide are carried out with varied heterocyclic and phenolic compounds. These reactions are taked form aproximately smooth and wanted products are prepared with good outputs.
