This paper highlights the correlation of different factors that affect the agility of micro and small-scale industries using the SPSS statistics tool. The various factors were identified and listed based on agility enablers and a survey was conducted in and around the Mangalore region. A total of 116 micro and small-scale industries were used to collect responses with 98 different questions. The questionaries are part of three pillars of agile manufacturing. From the correlation study of different factors, it is observed that there is a relation between different enablers and the enablers are dependent on one another. The dependency or relation between the factors affects the performance of the entire industry and the agility of the industries is getting reduced. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper highlighted on manufacturing culture in micro and small scale industries. To know the manufacturing culture responses collected from 20 manufacturing industries with 87 questionnaires through survey. All the questionnaires prepared with help of Agile manufacturing enablers. The sample industries are manufacturer of identical products with different shapes and size based on the customer requirement. From the survey it has noted that micro and small scale industries are not working with one single manufacturing methodology and no strategic process was adopted. Most of industries are facing problem of shortage of skilled labor and change of market requirement.
