The amount of data from users in Hindi language is tremendously increasing on social media, blogs, online forums due to which Sentiment analysis of Indian languages has turned out to be a predominant research area. Lexicon based analysis is one of the techniques that can be used for analyzing sentiments. While using the lexicon-based sentiment analysis, ambiguous words could be an issue. This paper proposes a graph based Lesk approach to handle the word sense disambiguation issue and tries to enhance and improve the lexicon approach. Experiments performed to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm shows that the performance of lexicon-based sentiment analysis is increased significantly by using the graph based Lesk approach.

This paper describes a photovoltaic (PV) and wind hybrid power system that is equipped with a Diode Clamped Multi-Level Inverter and LC filter for the generation of renewable energy. Due to their environmental friendliness and availability, wind and solar energy are ideal for hybrid systems in India. Due to fluctuations in the output voltage, equipment that require a consistent supply will be damaged by hybrid power systems that are completely dependent upon intermittent renewable energy sources. Matlab Simulink is used to create a model of the hybrid system using a Diode Clamped Multi-Level Inverter and an LC filter. Before merging a DC voltage hybrid system with the main grid of the power system, blocks such as the wind model, solar model, Diode Clamped Multi-Level Inverter, and LC filter are developed independently.... The input parameters for the project simulation include different irradiance values and varied wind speeds. Initially, a DC voltage hybrid system with the main grid of power system is constructed separately, taking into account the characteristics of the wind and photovoltaic models developed, as well as the simulation results for hybrid systems with and without Diode Clamped Multi-Level Inverters and LC filters. The input parameters for the project simulation include different irradiance values and varied wind speeds. Present are the wind and photovoltaic model characteristics, as well as simulation results for a hybrid system with and without a Diode Clamped Multi-Level Inverter and LC Filter. The results suggest that hybrid systems are more reliable in terms of generating output voltage than solo systems in this study. As well as this, the hybrid system's Diode Clamped Multi-Level Inverter and LC Filter can reduce output voltage fluctuations.

Solanum virginianum(L.) belonging to family Solanaceae selected for decolourisation of Reactive Turquoise Blue H5G dye.In vitrogrown cultures ofS. virginianumwere able to remove more than 50% dye concentration up to 110mg/l. comparative analysis of biochemical and antioxidant study showed more activity in treated plants as compared to untreated plants. The phytotoxicity study demonstrated the non-toxic nature of degraded metabolites. Use of such non-edible yet medicinal plant for phytoremediation is discussed.

Solanum virginianum (L.) belonging to family Solanaceae is an important medicinal plant, used in traditional ayurvedic medicines. It is one of the ten constituents of “Dashmoola”. Present work deals with the development of efficient procedure for inducing somatic embryogenesis followed by regeneration of Solanum virginianum (L.). Initially, seeds of S. virginianum were used as explant and inoculated on ½ MS basal medium. The stem explant from in vitro germinated seeds was used for callus induction. MS medium supplemented with BAP (1mg/L) was used for callus induction. Callus proliferation started when initiated callus was subcultured on different concentrations and combination of BAP, IAA, IBA, 2,4-D and NAA. Where highest embryogenesis took place in BAP (2mg/l)+IAA(5mg/l) combination. The somatic embryos were transferred onto MS basal medium for maturation. These embryos matured and were converted into complete plantlets with well developed shoot and root system.

A large amount of data is generated in medical organisations (hospitals, medical centres) but this data is not properly used. There is a wealth of hidden information present in the datasets. This unused data can be converted into useful data. For this purpose, we can use different data mining techniques. This paper presents a classifier approach for the detection of heart disease and shows how Naive Bayes can be used for classification purposes. In our system, we will categorise medical data into five categories namely no, low, average, high and very high. Also, if an unknown sample comes then the system will predict the class label of that sample. Hence two basic functions namely classification (training) and prediction (testing) will be performed. The accuracy of the system depends on the algorithm and database used.&nbsp

What started as a cluster of patients with a mysterious respiratory illness in Wuhan, China, in December 2019, was later determined to be coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The pathogen severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), a novel Betacoronavirus, was subsequently isolated as the causative agent. SARS-CoV-2 is transmitted by respiratory droplets and fomites and presents clinically with fever, fatigue, myalgias, conjunctivitis, anosmia, dysgeusia, sore throat, nasal congestion, cough, dyspnea, nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. In most critical cases, symptoms can escalate into acute respiratory distress syndrome accompanied by a runaway inflammatory cytokine response and multiorgan failure. As of this article's publication date, COVID-19 has spread to approximately 200 countries and territories, with over 4.3 million infections and more than 290,000 deaths as it has escalated into a global pandemic. Public health concerns mount as the situation evolves with an increasing number of infection hotspots around the globe. New information about the virus is emerging just as rapidly. This has led to the prompt development of clinical patient risk stratification tools to aid in determining the need for testing, isolation, monitoring, ventilator support, and disposition. COVID-19 spread is rapid, including imported cases in travelers, cases among close contacts of known infected individuals, and community-acquired cases without a readily identifiable source of infection. Critical shortages of personal protective equipment and ventilators are compounding the stress on overburdened healthcare systems. The continued challenges of social distancing, containment, isolation, and surge capacity in already stressed hospitals, clinics, and emergency departments have led to a swell in technologically-assisted care delivery strategies, such as telemedicine and web-based triage. As the race to develop an effective vaccine intensifies, several clinical trials of antivirals and immune modulators are underway, though no reliable COVID-19-specific therapeutics (inclusive of some potentially effective single and multi-drug regimens) have been identified as of yet. With many nations and regions declaring a state of emergency, unprecedented quarantine, social distancing, and border closing efforts are underway. Implementation of social and physical isolation measures has caused sudden and profound economic hardship, with marked decreases in global trade and local small business activity alike, and full ramifications likely yet to be felt. Current state-of-science, mitigation strategies, possible therapies, ethical considerations for healthcare workers and policymakers, as well as lessons learned for this evolving global threat and the eventual return to a 'new normal' are discussed in this article.

The current trial aimed to assess and compare the efficacy of neem chip and diode laser as a local drug delivery (LDD) agent as a supplement to phase I periodontal therapy in treatment of localized chronic moderate periodontitis.Statistically significant improvements were observed in all clinical parameters at one month as compared to baseline for both treatment groups.Neem chip supplemented with phase I therapy showed best improvement in clinical parameters followed by laser supplemented with phase I therapy in comparison to phase I therapy alone at one month follow-up.

Publisher's version (útgefin grein), The alarming global rise in fatalities from multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) infections has underscored a need to develop new therapies to address this epidemic. Chemoproteomics is valuable in identifying targets for new drugs in different human diseases including bacterial infections. Targeting functional cysteines is particularly attractive, as they serve critical catalytic functions that enable bacterial survival. Here, we report an indole-based quinone epoxide scaffold with a unique boat-like conformation that allows steric control in modulating thiol reactivity. We extensively characterize a lead compound (4a), which potently inhibits clinically derived vancomycin-resistant S. aureus. Leveraging diverse chemoproteomic platforms, we identify and biochemically validate important transcriptional factors as potent targets of 4a. Interestingly, each identified transcriptional factor has a conserved catalytic cysteine residue that confers antibiotic tolerance to these bacteria. Supercritical flow experiments were conducted at University of Manitoba using supercritical flow facility-vertical (SFF-V), which is a two vertical parallel channel assembly. The working fluid was CO2 at supercritical pressure and was driven by natural convective forces rather than a pump. Different system pressures (7.4 MPa–9.1 MPa), inlet temperatures (7 °C–30.1 °C) and various outlet-channel k-factors were used. A total of eleven parallel channel out-of-phase instability boundary points were obtained and the details of those cases are reported herein. These results can be used for code validation, to enrich the limited database of supercritical parallel-channel instability and to lend further insight into supercritical flow instability in heated parallel channels.

A study on diversification of Kerala mural paintings was conducted by making different variety of products with different styles of design. Rather than confining Kerala murals on wall, nowadays several mediums are used to increase its aesthetic value and attract the potential customers. In this paper, the development of traditional and contemporary mural products is discussed. A survey was conducted first to know about the preferences of the potential customers on Kerala Mural products and products to be produced were selected according to this survey. Later, another survey was conducted to test the visual appearance and price range of the developed mural products. The study concludes by learning that people are showing interest in technological advancements in mural painting and its diversification for special purposes like social issues.

About 15-20% of all breast cancers do not express estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor or HER2 receptor and hence are collectively classified as triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). These tumors are often relatively aggressive when compared to other types of breast cancer, and this issue is compounded by the lack of effective targeted therapy. In our previous phosphoproteomic profiling effort, we identified the non-receptor tyrosine kinase TNK2 as activated in a majority of aggressive TNBC cell lines. In the current study, we show that high expression of TNK2 in breast cancer cell lines correlates with high proliferation, invasion and colony forming ability. We demonstrate that knockdown of TNK2 expression can substantially suppress the invasiveness and proliferation advantage of TNBC cells in vitro and tumor formation in xenograft mouse models. Moreover, inhibition of TNK2 with small molecule inhibitor ( R )-9bMS significantly compromised TNBC proliferation. Finally, we find that high levels of TNK2 expression in high-grade basal-like breast cancers correlates significantly with poorer patient outcome. Taken together, our study suggests that TNK2 is a novel potential therapeutic target for the treatment of TNBC.

Background: The pandemic the world is facing today started in the city of Wuhan, central China, in December 2019, and presented as unexplained lower respiratory infections. On February 11, 2020, the World Health Organization announced that the disease caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 virus be called “corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19).” Since the beginning of the pandemic there has been quite some debate regarding starting or continuing the treatment of diseases requiring immunosuppression. The major issues arise with management of dermatological diseases, such as vesiculobullous disorders, moderate-to-severe psoriasis, acute severe drug reactions, and connective tissue diseases which would require high level of immune-suppression or immune-modulation as treatment. In this article, we discuss the management strategies adopted for the management of pemphigus vulgaris (PV) and bullous pemphigoid (BP) as the prototypical examples. We will discuss the algorithm we evolved in our department for managing such cases during COVID-19 pandemic to give optimum benefit for our patients along with decreasing their risk for increased vulnerability for severe COVID-19 infection. The same principle can be used for other diseases requiring immunosuppressive or immunomodulatory therapies. Objectives: The management of the patients suffering from BP and PV that came to our department during the national lockdown during COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and Methods: It was a prospective study of 30 consecutive patients that came to our outpatient department either previously diagnosed or as fresh cases of PV or BP. Results: Treating patients with BP or PV during the pandemic has been a challenge. Analyzing the risk versus benefit and making a custom-based treatment helped us minimize the risk for severe COVID-19 infection as well as the side effects due to the primary drugs that are used in BP/PV. We were successful in keeping the primary disease in control. None of our patients was infected with symptomatic COVID-19 infection. Conclusion: With rapidly changing scenario of the pandemic it is very difficult to assess the optimal management of complex diseases such as PV and BP. With contradictory data available whether suppressing the immunity will result in a milder form of COVID 19 with less complications or render the patient at higher risk of complicated COVID-19 is unknown. Thus we, as dermato-physicians, need to keep ourselves and our patients updated, educated, and choose the best possible option where in the risk for severe COVID-19 infection minimized while keeping their primary disease in control.

One dimensional (1D) numerical simulations have been carried out of heated parallel channel experiments using the linear frequency domain approach to investigate the effect of wall heat on the system’s stability for supercritical water in vertical heated channels. Oscillatory instability boundaries of the experimental cases with two different wall thicknesses and uniform power distribution are produced, assessed and discussed. These new numerical results with wall heat are compared with experimental data and previous numerical results without wall heat. There is improved agreement on the stability boundary predictions when the wall heat storage effect is included. However, the effect of wall heat storage was small for these experiments.

The Zika virus (ZIKV), first discovered in 1947, has emerged as a global public health threat over the last decade, with the accelerated geographic spread of the virus noted during the last 5 years. The World Health Organization (WHO) predicts that millions of cases of ZIKV are likely to occur in the Americas during the next 12 months. These projections, in conjunction with suspected Zika-associated increase in newborn microcephaly cases, prompted WHO to declare public health emergency of international concern. ZIKV-associated illness is characterized by an incubation period of 3-12 days. Most patients remain asymptomatic (i.e., ~80%) after contracting the virus. When symptomatic, clinical presentation is usually mild and consists of a self-limiting febrile illness that lasts approximately 2-7 days. Among common clinical manifestations are fever, arthralgia, conjunctivitis, myalgia, headache, and maculopapular rash. Hospitalization and complication rates are low, with fatalities being extremely rare. Newborn microcephaly, the most devastating and insidious complication associated with the ZIKV, has been described in the offspring of women who became infected while pregnant. Much remains to be elucidated about the timing of ZIKV infection in the context of the temporal progression of pregnancy, the corresponding in utero fetal development stage(s), and the risk of microcephaly. Without further knowledge of the pathophysiology involved, the true risk of ZIKV to the unborn remains difficult to quantify and remediate. Accurate, portable, and inexpensive point-of-care testing is required to better identify cases and manage the current and future outbreaks of ZIKV, including optimization of preventive approaches and the identification of more effective risk reduction strategies. In addition, much more work needs to be done to produce an effective vaccine. Given the rapid geographic spread of ZIKV in recent years, a coordinated local, regional, and global effort is needed to generate sufficient resources and political traction to effectively halt and contain further expansion of the current outbreak.
