The solution behavior of a second element in the primary phase (α(Mg)) is important in the design of high-performance alloys. In this work, three sets of features have been collected: a) interaction features of solutes and Mg obtained from first-principles calculation, b) intrinsic physical properties of the pure elements and c) structural features. Based on the maximum solid solubility values, the solution behavior of elements in α(Mg) are classified into four types, e.g., miscible, soluble, sparingly-soluble and slightly-soluble. The machine learning approach, including random forest and decision tree algorithm methods, is performed and it has been found that four features, e.g., formation energy, electronegativity, non-bonded atomic radius, and work function, can together determine the classification of the solution behavior of an element in α(Mg). The mathematical correlations, as well as the physical relationships among the selected features have been analyzed. This model can also be applied to other systems following minor modifications of the defined features, if required.

- Abstract
Kant contrasted infinite judgments from negative ones with the help of figures. These figures were meant to be merely illustrative, i.e., they were not part of a proof method for syllogisms. In this paper, I develop them into a complete and correct diagrammatic proof method for syllogisms in which infinite and negative judgments are not logically equivalent. Whereas infinite judgments operate with a strong negation, negative judgments operate with a weak one. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this work we investigate both particle and spin transport in two dierent devices. In particle transport we will investigate the correlation measurement and the weak location for the Hanbury-Brown Twiss Chaotic Eect in mesoscopic systems. In spin transport we have as main interest to calculate the universal uctuation of parameter IREE in the Inverse Hall Eect of Spin. This parameter measures the conversion of spin current into charge current, we will calculate its uctuation in a chaotic quantum point with chiral symmetry at low temperatures and in the metallic regime. To perform the calculations of the correlation in the chaotic HBT eect, as well as the calculation of the parameter uctuation, we use the theory of random matrices, the diagrammatic method and its expansion. Along the calculations the correlation of the particles we show that there is an antibunching of bosons even though the reection amplitude is the same as the transmission amplitude in the apparatus. We show that the eects of quantum interference between particles are neglected when we apply the magnetic eld in the metallic regime and in hybrid metal/superconducting systems, moreover we show that for chiral regimes, there is no suppression of quantum interference between the particles even with the magnetic eld turned on. We also calculated the uctuation of parameter in the metallic regime and showed that it uctuates between 0.11 to 0.33 on the nanometer scale depending on the analyzed system. This result is in line with experimental articles in the area and if we look at the chiral regime we nd the order of uctuation is about 10 nanometers, in which the value is also in line with recent experimental results in the area.

The principal purposes of the eld are to detect, manipulate, create and polarize spin currents. Within this topic, it is possible to emphasize the Spin Hall E ect(SEH) and the Inverse Spin Hall E ect(ISEH). In this dissertation, we analytically investigate the universal fluctuation of the conductance of the spin in a chaotic quantum point with chiral symmetry at low temperatures. We used random matrices theory and the expansion of the diagrammatic method for that purpose. We showed that when the chirality is broken, the universal fluctuation of the conductance dispersion is in the order of rms hGf sHi 0:18e=4 and that when there is the preservation of the chiral symmetry, the universal fluctuation of the conductance dispersion occurs in the order of rms [GqsH] 0:283e=4 which coincides with the literature. We also worked on ISEH, through the analytical analysis with the semi-classic expansion of the conductance and showed that in the semi-classic limit the relation rms [GqsH] = p2 rms hGf sHi is valid.

In Part I of this essay, which deals with Peircean semiotics, we stated that Peirce is, above all, a logician and a metaphysician rather than a communication theorist. Based on the idea that everything real is rational, he seeks to fit all the interpretations into his faltering trilogies under a law of the Sign and an imperative of the Code. The rigor of his logical positivism does not provide space for objects of perception or for the extralinguistic. In this second part of the essay, we discuss the limits of the diagrammatic method, and the paradoxical tendency that Peirce's infinite regression has for ending in the Idea and in religious metaphysics. And last but not least, we discuss the use of semiotics in unscrupulous commitments to the new forms of power.

Les autres secteurs de désintégrations ne permettent d’extraire des phases faibles que si l’on invoque des approximations de précisions inconnues., This Master’s thesis presents the application of the method of decomposition in terms of diagrams to the charmless decays of B mesons to three pseudoscalar particles. We systematically apply the diagrammatic method to the decays B → Kππ, B → KKK ̄, B → KK ̄π and B → πππ. It is shown that when we neglect exchange and annihilation diagrams, whose contributions have been estimated to be small, new relations appear between the decay amplitudes. These relations constitute new tests of the standard model that can only be obtained through the diagrammatic method. When the necessary data is available, we verify these relations and obtain a good agreement with the experimental results. We also show that it is possible use observables in the B → Kππ sector to measure the weak phase γ with a theoretical uncertainty of the order of 5%. Other decay sectors can only allow the extraction of weak phases through the use of approximations of unknown precision.
