It has been shown by x-ray structure analysis that the interaction of 2-phenyl-5-methyl-1,2,3-diazophosphole with diazopropane forms, along with the cis-anti-cis isomer, the cissyn-cis isomer of 2,2,6,9-tetramethy1-4,11-dipheny1-4,5,10,11-tetraaza-1,3-diphosphatricyclo-[6.3.0.03,7]undeca-5,9-diene. © 1985 Plenum Publishing Corporation.

Tosyl azide reacts with 2-acetyl-3-methoxy-5-methyldiazaphospholine to give an iminodiazaphospholine that is stable as a solid, while in solutions, depending on the nature of the solvent and the temperature, it changes to the tautomer with an NH bond and the dimer. The reaction of 2-acetyl-5-methyldiazaphosphole with 9-diazofluorene in pentane gives an adduct of pyrazoline structure which easily releases N2 with the formation of a trimer, obtained directly in carrying out the reaction without a solvent and in CCl4, CH2C12, or C6H6. 3. The reaction of 2-R-5-methyl-1,2,3-diazaphospholeswith diphenyldtazomethane leads to the formation of 2-R-4-methyl-6,6-diphenyl-1-phospha-2,3-diazabicyclo[3.1.0]hex-3-enes which, upon heating with alcohols and reaction with dry HCl, convert to derivatives of 2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1,2-diaza-3-phosphorines. 2.
