Implementing a collaborative governance framework across administrative boundaries is crucial for preserving the Basin's ecological integrity and mitigating institutional fragmentation. Based on 19 cases of inter-provincial collaborative governance of ecological environment in the Yangtze River Basin of China, this study uses the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method to explore the influencing factors and complex causal mechanism of the effect of inter-provincial collaborative governance. The results show that technology empowers relationship driving, institutions reinforce interactive driving, and internal and external interaction driving modes promote collaborative governance. Perceived factors are essential in motivating provinces to participate in collaborative governance. External factors play a hygienic role in collaborative governance, and internal factors play a motivated role. The roles of the two types of factors are separate but complementary. In view of this, government should attention to regional environmental concerns, ensuring consistent alignment of internal and external factors and fostering synergies to improve governance effectiveness. Zeolite imidazole‐based framework (ZIF‐67), a notable class of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), shows promise in activating peroxymonosulfate (PMS) for pollutant degradation due to its uniformly distributed cobalt ions. However, its nanoparticle form and the elution of cobalt ions during use cause challenges in recycling and the risk of secondary pollution. In this study, a magnetic core‐shell hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) on the MOF (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully prepared. The porous HOF shell not only protects the active sites and mitigates cobalt ion leaching but also reduces mass transfer limitations, ensuring sustained catalytic performance. The magnetic Fe3O4 core enhances electron transfer between cobalt ions, boosts catalytic efficiency, and facilitates easy separation and recycling. This core‐shell structure effectively activates PMS, achieving 100% removal of Rhodamine B, a model wastewater dye, within 10 min (Rh B = 50 mg L−1, HFZ = 150 mg L−1, PMS = 1.5 mm, pH = 7, room temperature). Furthermore, under the protection of the HOF shell, cobalt ion leaching is minimized to a negligible value (0.14 mg L−1) after 5 cycles of use. Digital finance enhances corporate ESG performance and is essential for achieving sustainable development; however, its consistent effectiveness in improving ESG outcomes remains contested. Using panel data from A-share listed companies on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges in China from 2011 to 2021, this study empirically examines nonlinear effects, transmission mechanisms, and moderating factors. The results indicate a U-shaped relationship between digital finance and ESG performance, with a positive impact becoming apparent when digital finance exceeds the threshold of 3.81. Mechanism tests reveal that green technological innovation and public environmental attention are crucial transmission channels for the nonlinear effects. Furthermore, financial regulation levels and environmental uncertainty negatively moderate this relationship, while corporate digital transformation has a positive moderating effect. Further analysis shows that the U-shaped relationship is more pronounced in areas with lesser financial advancement and higher levels of environmental regulation, as well as in non-high-tech industries, non-manufacturing sectors, smaller firms, and companies without political connections. This research breaks away from the existing literature that focuses only on the relationship between environmental regulations and employment size and employment structure, and focuses on the employment creation effect, destruction effect and the net effect of environmental regulations on employment. Accordingly, employing a two-tier stochastic frontier model, this research will answer whether the bilateral effects of environmental regulation on employment exist, which is larger or smaller, the net effect using provincial panel data in China from 2011 to 2020. Research results show that the creation effect makes employment higher than the frontier level by 3.18%, while the destruction effect makes employment lower than the frontier level by 4.58%, and finally the destruction effect dominates with the two-tier effects making employment lower than the frontier level by 1.40%. Furthermore, it was found that the lower the level of environmental regulation implementation, the greater its destruction effect. Moreover, from different human capital perspectives, environmental regulations have the least damaging effect on the low-skilled group, followed by the high-skilled group, and the most significant effect on the medium-skilled group. The destruction effect exhibits regional heterogeneity, sequentially weakening from the east to the central and western regions. The findings of this study hold particular significance for governmental entities in determining the stringency of environmental regulatory measures. It effectively promotes the government's enforcement of environmental regulation policies, and has significant implications for achieving the dual advantages of "environmental protection" and "full employment" in society. Background: Antral follicles consist of an oocyte cumulus complex surrounding by somatic cells, including mural granulosa cells as the inner layer and theca cells as the outsider layer. The communications between oocytes and granulosa cells have been extensively explored in in vitro studies, however, the role of oocyte-derived factor GDF9 on in vivo antral follicle development remains elusive due to lack of an appropriate animal model. Clinically, the phenotype of GDF9 variants needs to be determined. Methods: Whole-exome sequencing (WES) was performed on two unrelated infertile women characterized by an early rise of estradiol level and defect in follicle enlargement. Besides, WES data on 1,039 women undergoing ART treatment were collected. A Gdf9Q308X/S415T mouse model was generated based on the variant found in one of the patients. Results: Two probands with bi-allelic GDF9 variants (GDF9His209GlnfsTer6/S428T, GDF9Q321X/S428T) and eight GDF9S428T heterozygotes with normal ovarian response were identified. In vitro experiments confirmed that these variants caused reduction of GDF9 secretion, and/or alleviation in BMP15 binding. Gdf9Q308X/S415T mouse model was constructed, which recapitulated the phenotypes in probands with abnormal estrogen secretion and defected follicle enlargement. Further experiments in mouse model showed an earlier expression of STAR in small antral follicles and decreased proliferative capacity in large antral follicles. In addition, RNA sequencing of granulosa cells revealed the transcriptomic profiles related to defective follicle enlargement in the Gdf9Q308X/S415T group. One of the downregulated genes, P4HA2 (a collagen related gene), was found to be stimulated by GDF9 protein, which partly explained the phenotype of defective follicle enlargement. Conclusions: GDF9 bi-allelic variants contributed to the defect in antral follicle development. Oocyte itself participated in the regulation of follicle development through GDF9 paracrine effect, highlighting the essential role of oocyte-derived factors on ovarian response. Advanced oxidation processes based on sulfate radical are considered one of the most promising wastewater treatment technologies currently. Among heterogeneous catalysts, cobalt metal–organic framework (MOF) has been widely reported. However, the inherent powder form of MOF hinders its practical application and reusability. Therefore, innovative methods to increase the loading capacity and the accessibility of MOF active sites in monolithic materials are required. Therefore, a simple and scalable method of fabricating a stable, hierarchical porous zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF‐67) 3D sponge by growing MOF on a short electrospun fiber network is shown. The sponge can efficiently activate peroxymonosulfate and rapidly degrade an exemplary organic dye (Rhodamine B) with a degradation efficiency of 100%. The resulting multilevel, hierarchical porous structure is beneficial to the mass transfer of reagents making the catalytic process efficient. This also enables the use of the ZIF‐67 as an efficient catalytic filter for continuous removal of dye. The sponge can be recycled and reused for several cycles due to its robustness without loss in efficiency. The proposed research strategy provides a new way to design MOF 3D monolithic materials. Constructing crystalline covalent organic frameworks (COF) robust 3D reusable macroscopic objects exposing more adsorption sites with high water flux for use as a filter is an unresolved challenge. A simple scalable procedure is shown for making a robust, highly compressible 3D crystalline COF nanowire interconnected porous open‐cell sponge. The compressive strength and Young's modulus (80% strain) of the sponge are 175 and 238 kPa, respectively. The sponge can withstand multiple compression‐release cycles and a load of 2800 times its weight without collapsing. As an exemplary application, the use of a COF sponge in the selective removal and separation of cationic model dye from a mixture of dyes in water by adsorption and filtration with >99% efficiency is shown. Depending on the dye concentration, the dye removal time can be as short as 2 min, and dye adsorption efficiency can be as high as 653 mg g−1 (COF in the sponge). During filtration, the sponges as filters show a high water flux of 2355 L h−1 m−2 under ambient conditions and maintain their performance for many cycles. The lightweight, reusability, and efficiency make present sponges sustainable materials as adsorbents and filters. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

STUDY QUESTION Can blastocyst aneuploidy be predicted for patients with previous aneuploid pregnancy loss (PAPL) and receiving preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A)? SUMMARY ANSWER Multivariable logistic regression models were established to predict high risk of blastocyst aneuploidy using four identified factors, presenting good predictive performance. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY Aneuploidy is the most common embryonic chromosomal abnormality leading to pregnancy loss. Several studies have demonstrated a higher embryo aneuploidy rate in patients with PAPL, which has suggested that PGT-A should have benefits in PAPL patients intending to improve their pregnancy outcomes. However, recent studies have failed to demonstrate the efficacy of PGT-A for PAPL patients. One possible way to improve the efficacy is to predict the risk of blastocyst aneuploidy risk in order to identify the specific PAPL population who may benefit from PGT-A. STUDY DESIGN, SIZE, DURATION We conducted a multicenter retrospective cohort study based on data analysis of 1119 patients receiving PGT-A in three reproductive medical centers of university affiliated teaching hospitals during January 2014 to June 2020. A cohort of 550 patients who had one to three PAPL(s) were included in the PAPL group. In addition, 569 patients with monogenic diseases without pregnancy loss were taken as the non-PAPL group. PARTICIPANTS/MATERIALS, SETTING, METHODS PGT-A was conducted using single nucleotide polymorphism microarrays and next-generation sequencing. Aneuploidy rates in Day 5 blastocysts of each patient were calculated and high-risk aneuploidy was defined as a rate of ≥50%. Candidate risk factors for high-risk aneuploidy were selected using the Akaike information criterion and were subsequently included in multivariable logistic regression models. Overall predictive accuracy was assessed using the confusion matrix, discrimination by area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), and calibration by plotting the predicted probabilities versus the observed probabilities. Statistical significance was set at P  < 0.05. MAIN RESULTS AND THE ROLE OF CHANCE Blastocyst aneuploidy rates were 30 ± 25% and 21 ± 19% for PAPL and non-PAPL groups, respectively. Maternal age (odds ratio (OR) = 1.31, 95% CI 1.24–1.39, P  <   0.001), number of PAPLs (OR = 1.40, 95% CI 1.05–1.86, P  =   0.02), estradiol level on the ovulation trigger day (OR = 0.47, 95% CI 0.30–0.73, P  <   0.001), and blastocyst formation rate (OR = 0.13, 95% CI 0.03–0.50, P  =   0.003) were associated with high-risk of blastocyst aneuploidy. The predictive model based on the above four variables yielded AUCs of 0.80 using the training dataset and 0.83 using the test dataset, with average and maximal discrepancies of 2.89% and 12.76% for the training dataset, and 0.98% and 5.49% for the test dataset, respectively. LIMITATIONS, REASONS FOR CAUTION Our conclusions might not be compatible with those having fewer than four biopsied blastocysts and diminished ovarian reserves, since all of the included patients had four or more biopsied blastocysts and had exhibited good ovarian reserves. WIDER IMPLICATIONS OF THE FINDINGS The developed predictive model is critical for counseling PAPL patients before PGT-A by considering maternal age, number of PAPLs, estradiol levels on the ovulation trigger day, and the blastocyst formation rate. This prediction model achieves good risk stratification and so may be useful for identifying PAPL patients who may have higher risk of blastocyst aneuploidy and can therefore acquire better pregnancy outcomes by PGT-A. The results from different studies are inconsistent regarding whether development potential correlated with embryo development speed after single euploid blastocyst transfer. The age-associated reproductive decline is not only because of the difference in aneuploidy rates but also because of metabolic and epigenetic changes of the embryos. Therefore, we aimed to assess the independent effect of embryo development speed on implantation potential in young women. A total of 326 young women who underwent preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic diseases with aneuploidy screening were analyzed. Day-5 and day-6 euploid blastocysts yielded similar implantation rates (65.20 vs. 61.22%). The odds ratio (OR) remained non-significant after adjusting for confounders (adjusted OR = 0.84, 95% confidence interval 0.52–1.36). There was a trend that day-6 euploid blastocysts had a higher miscarriage rate (13.33 vs. 9.20%). However, the live birth delivery rate of day-5 blastocysts was similar to that of day-6 blastocysts (59.20 vs. 53.06%). In the stratified analysis, live birth delivery rates were similar between day-5 and day-6 similarly graded euploid blastocysts (excellent and good, 62.04 vs. 64.71%; average, 58.73 vs. 53.70%; poor, 43.75 vs. 44.44%).
