Thanks to the rapidly increasing time-domain facilities, we are entering a golden era of research on gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). In this Letter, we report our observations of GRB 240529A with the Burst Optical Observer and Transient Exploring System, the 1.5-meter telescope at Observatorio Sierra Nevada, the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope of China, the Large Binocular Telescope, and the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo. The prompt emission of GRB 240529A shows two comparable energetic episodes separated by a quiescence time of roughly 400 s. Combining all available data on the GRB Coordinates Network, we reveal the simultaneous apparent X-ray plateau and optical re-brightening around $10^3-10^4$ s after the burst. Rather than the energy injection from the magnetar as widely invoked for similar GRBs, the multi-wavelength emissions could be better explained as two shocks launched from the central engine separately. The optical peak time and our numerical modeling suggest that the initial bulk Lorentz factor of the later shock is roughly 50, which indicates that the later jet should be accretion-driven and have a higher mass loading than a typical one. The quiescence time between the two prompt emission episodes may be caused by the transition between different accretion states of a central magnetar or black hole, or the fall-back accretion process. A sample of similar bursts with multiple emission episodes in the prompt phase and sufficient follow-up could help to probe the underlying physics of GRB central engines., Comment: Resubmitted to ApJL after addressing the referee's comments; comments are welcome

Evolutionary algorithms are wildly used in unmanned aerial vehicle path planning for their flexibility and effectiveness. Nevertheless, they are so sensitive to the change of environment that can't adapt to all scenarios. Due to this drawback, the previously successful planner frequently fail in a new scene. In this paper, a first-of-its-kind machine learning method named Evolutionary Programmer is proposed to solve this problem. Concretely, the most commonly used Evolutionary Algorithms are decomposed into a series of operators, which constitute the operator library of the system. The new method recompose the operators to a integrated planner, thus, the most suitable operators can be selected for adapting to the changing circumstances. Different from normal machine programmers, this method focuses on a specific task with high-level integrated instructions and thus alleviate the problem of huge search space caused by the briefness of instructions. On this basis, a 64-bit sequence is presented to represent path planner and then evolved with the modified Genetic Algorithm. Finally, the most suitable planner is created by utilizing the information of the previous planner and various randomly generated ones.

In recent years, multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) has presented impressive performance in various applications. However, physical limitations, budget restrictions, and many other factors usually impose \textit{constraints} on a multi-agent system (MAS), which cannot be handled by traditional MARL frameworks. Specifically, this paper focuses on constrained MASes where agents work \textit{cooperatively} to maximize the expected team-average return under various constraints on expected team-average costs, and develops a \textit{constrained cooperative MARL} framework, named DeCOM, for such MASes. In particular, DeCOM decomposes the policy of each agent into two modules, which empowers information sharing among agents to achieve better cooperation. In addition, with such modularization, the training algorithm of DeCOM separates the original constrained optimization into an unconstrained optimization on reward and a constraints satisfaction problem on costs. DeCOM then iteratively solves these problems in a computationally efficient manner, which makes DeCOM highly scalable. We also provide theoretical guarantees on the convergence of DeCOM's policy update algorithm. Finally, we validate the effectiveness of DeCOM with various types of costs in both toy and large-scale (with 500 agents) environments., Comment: 25 pages

We have searched quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) for BL Lac PKS J2134-0153 in the 15 GHz radio light curve announced by the Owens Valley Radio Observatory 40-m telescope during the period from 2008-01-05 to 2019-05-18, utilizing the Lomb-Scargle periodogram (LSP) and the weighted wavelet Z-transform (WWZ) techniques. This is the first time that to search for periodic radio signal in BL Lac PKS J2134-0153 by these two methods. These two methods consistently reveal a QPO of 4.69 $\pm$ 0.14 years (>5 $\sigma$ confidence level). We discuss possible causes for this QPO, and we expected that the binary black holes scenario, where the QPO is caused by the precession of the binary black holes, is the most likely explanation. BL Lac PKS J2134-0153 thus could be a good binary black hole candidate. We installed two sets of Astronomical Site Monitoring System(ASMS) at Lijiang Observatory(GMG), for the running of the 2.4-meter Lijiang optical telescope(LJT) and the 1.6-meter Multi-channel Photometric Survey Telescope (Mephisto). The Mephistro is under construction. ASMS has been running on robotic mode since 2017. The core instruments: Cloud Sensor, All-Sky Camera and Autonomous-DIMM that are developed by our group, together with the commercial Meteorological Station and Sky Quality Meter, are combined into the astronomical optical site monitoring system. The new Cloud Sensor's Cloud-Clear Relationship is presented for the first time, which is used to calculate the All-Sky cloud cover. We designed the Autonomous-DIMM located on a tower, with the same height as LJT. The seeing data have been observed for a full year. The origin of the multi-band activities (outbursts/flares) of blazars is still a heavily debated topic. Shock and magnetic reconnection have long been considered as possible triggers for the multi-band activities. In this paper, we present an exploration of the origin of multi-band activities for a high-redshift (z =1.8385) FSRQ PKS 1502+106. Utilizing multi-band data from radio to $\gamma$-ray and optical polarization observations, we investigate two dramatic activities in detail: a $\gamma$-ray dominated outburst in 2015 and an optical dominated outburst in 2017. Our main results are as follows. (I) A fast $\gamma$-ray flare with a flux-doubling time-scale as short as 1-hr in 2015 is discovered. Based on the variability time-scale, the physical parameters of the flaring region (e.g, minimum Doppler factor, emission region size, etc.) are constrained. At the peak of the flare, the $\gamma$-ray spectrum hardens to $\Gamma_{\gamma} = 1.82\pm0.04$ and exhibits an obvious curvature/break characteristic that is caused by the typical "cooling break". Modelings of multi-band SEDs reveal a very hard electronic energy spectrum with the electronic spectral index of $1.07\pm0.53$. This result suggests that this fast $\gamma$-ray flare may be triggered by magnetic reconnection. (II) During the outburst in 2017, the optical polarization degree and optical fluxes show a very tight correlation. By analyzing Stokes parameters of polarization observations, our results show that this outburst could be triggered by a transverse shock with a compression ratio of $\eta> 2.2$, and the magnetic field intensity of the shock emission region is about $0.032$ G., Comment: 18 pages, 13 figures, 5 tables, accepted by ApJ

Lijiang 2.4-meter Telescope(LJT), the largest common-purpose optical telescope in China, has been applied to the world-wide astronomers since 2008. It is located at Gaomeigu site, Lijiang Observatory(LJO), the southwest of China. The site has very good observational conditions. Since 10-year operation, several instruments have been equipped on the LJT. Astronomers can perform both photometric and spectral observations. The main scientific goals of LJT include photometric and spectral evolution of supernova, reverberation mapping of active galactic nucleus, physical properties of binary star and near-earth object(comet and asteroid), identification of exoplanet, and all kinds of transients. Until now, the masses of 41 high accretion rate black holes have been measured, and more than 168 supernova have been identified by the LJT. More than 190 papers related to the LJT have been published. In this paper, the general observation condition of the Gaomeigu site is introduced at first. Then, the LJT structure is described in detail, including the optical, mechanical, motion and control system. The specification of all the instruments, and some detailed parameters of the YFOSC is also presented.
