This paper introduced the origin, development, operation procedure and mechanism of mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy, and reviewed studies on its application effect in patients with depressive disorders. The related influencing factors of practice, existing problems and future prospects of mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy were analyzed, and suggestions were provided for the future research and clinical application of mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy. With changes in lifestyle, the incidence of cervical spondylosis is developing at an increasing rate year by year, with the highest incidence being neurogenic cervical spondylosis, which has a great impact on patients' physical, psychological and quality of life. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) nursing techniques have unique advantages over basic nursing operations, such as fewer side effects and higher comfort, and are therefore widely used in the treatment of neurogenic cervical spondylosis, which is the focus of current research and a hot spot. This article reviews the basic concept of neurogenic cervical spondylosis and the clinical practice and research progress of TCM nursing for it. It outlines the current clinical TCM nursing practices applicable to neurogenic cervical spondylosis, their application methods, scope of application and limitations, and aims to provide reference for the formulation and implementation of effective TCM nursing care for patients with neurogenic cervical spondylosis. To enhance protection against corrosion and ice on iron metal material in frigid zones, an organic silicone resin coating was prepared using four monomers. Its structure and performance was analyzed via infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), and thermal analysis (TG). Corrosion resistance of coating was tested by saltwater resistance and salt spray resistance and assessed using an electrochemical workstation, alongside anti-icing tests. The results showed that the organic silicone resin was successfully synthesized. The coatings could delay freezing onset by one-third compared to controls in low temperatures, with a detachment time also reduced by one-third, indicating excellent corrosion and ice resistance. The methylphenyl silicone resin had good anti-corrosion and anti-ice properties, with a low corrosion current density (icorr) of 0.8793 μA/cm2 and a high charge transfer resistance (Rct) of 24,930 Ω·cm2 in saline. In this work, we mainly investigate the consistency and strong convergence rate for the nearest neighbor density estimator based on φ -mixing random samples. The weak consistency, complete consistency, the rates of complete consistency and strong consistency for the nearest neighbor estimator of density function based on φ -mixing random samples are established. Objective To investigate the levels and clinical significance of serum 25 - hydroxy vitamin D[25(OH)D] in patients with chronic liver disease. Methods A total of 153 hospitalized patients with chronic liver disease in the First Affiliated Hospital of Jilin University from June 2012 to September 2013 were enrolled in the study group. The levels of serum 25(OH)D were measured by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. The serum samples from 300 healthy volunteers who underwent physical examination in our hospital were used as controls. The study group was divided into three subgroups: non - cirrhosis, liver cirrhosis [Child - Pugh (CP) grades A, B, and C], and primary biliary cirrhosis. Comparison of continuous data between groups was made by t test and analysis of variance, and comparison of categorical data was made by chi - square test. Correlation between different variables was investigated by Pearson linear regression analysis. Results Of the 153 patients with chronic liver disease, the percentages of those who had vitamin D adequacy (≥ 30 ng/ml), insufficiency (20 - 30 ng/ml), deficiency (10 - 20 ng/ml), and severe deficiency (<10 ng/ml) were 20.3%, 22.9%, 35.9%, and 20.9%, respectively. The percentages of patients with vitamin D deficiency and severe deficiency were significantly higher in the cirhosis subgroup than in the non - cirhosis and primary biliary cirhosis subgroups (41.7%, 25.0% vs 27.5%, 12.5% and 23.5%, 17.6%, respectively ; X =6.261 - 18.474, P = 0.001 - 0.012). The serum 25(OH)D levels in patients with cirhosis were significantly lower compared with those in patients without cirrhosis and in controls (18.58 ± 12.48 vs 23.78 ± 11.81 and 25.69 ± 12. 39 ng/ml, P = 0.029 and 0.001). CP class C cirhotic patients had significantly lower serum levels of 25 (OH) D compared with CP class A patients (P = 0.009). Conclusion Serum 25 (OH)D deficiency is common in patients with chronic liver disease. 25(OH)D levels in cirhotic patients, especially in CP class C patients, are markedly lower than those in non - cirhotic patients. ABSTRACT Background Methods Results Conclusions A small number of thyroid nodules cannot be clearly diagnosed using ultrasound‐guided fine needle aspiration biopsy. Contrast‐enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) has high diagnostic performance for thyroid nodules. We explored the value of CEUS for diagnosing thyroid nodules with indeterminate cytology.Between September 2019 and July 2022, 27,646 patients with thyroid nodule(s) underwent conventional ultrasound (CUS) in our hospital. From these patients, 597 nodules were subjected to CEUS and ultrasound‐guided fine needle aspiration biopsy and 116 thyroid nodules with indeterminate cytology diagnose were enrolled in this study. The independent risk factors for predicting malignancy were determined using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were drawn for CUS, CEUS, and CEUS combined with CUS. The area under the curve (AUC) was calculated and compared.Of the 116 thyroid nodules, 40 (34.5%) were benign and 76 (65.5%) were malignant. Univariate analysis showed that the shape, echogenicity, margin, microcalcification, enhancement intensity, enhancement homogeneity, wash in, and wash out were significantly different between benign and malignant thyroid nodules (all p < 0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that taller‐than‐wide, irregular margin, microcalcification, hypo‐enhancement, heterogeneity enhancement, synchronous/slower wash in, and synchronous/slower wash out were independent risk factors for malignancy (all p < 0.05). ROC curve analysis showed that the AUC of CUS and CEUS were 0.769 and 0.848, respectively. No significant difference was observed in the AUC between the two modalities (p > 0.05). However, the AUC (0.934) of the CUS combined with CEUS was significantly higher than that of CEUS or CUS alone (both p < 0.05).CEUS is helpful in diagnosing thyroid nodules with indeterminate cytology. Different concentrations and infiltration times of rose bengal (Rb) were assessed for their impact on penetration depth and crosslinking efficacy in rabbit sclera. Fresh rabbit eyes were used. Rb solution with concentrations of 0.1% to 0.9% were applied for 5 to 30 min to infiltrate the sclera. The penetration depth of Rb was observed with confocal microscopy. After infiltration, the sclera was irradiated by green light for crosslinking. The sclera's biomechanical stiffness and the resistance to enzyme digestion post-treatment were evaluated. Histopathological analysis and transmission electron microscopy were performed to observe the morphology. As the infiltration time increased, the penetration depth and the fluorescence intensity of the Rb in sclera increased. After 32 hours, 48.6%of the scleral tissue was undissolved in the 0.5% Rb-10min group, followed by the 0.1%Rb-20min group (13.8%) and 0.05%Rb-30min group (7.7%). At 8% strain, the Young's modulus of the 0.05%Rb-30min, the 0.1%Rb-20min and the 0.5%Rb-10min group were respectively 1.77, 2.45 and 3.19 times greater than that of the untreated group. There were no morphological differences between the experimental group and the untreated group. RG-SXL significantly increased the diameter of large collagen fibers in the middle and inner layers of the sclera. Ultimately, 0.5% Rb infiltration for 10 min achieves an appropriate infiltration depth and crosslinking effect, and may thus be a feasible schedule for scleral crosslinking., (Copyright © 2024. The aim of this study was to explore the effects of low-frequency ultrasound (US) combined with microbubbles (MBs) on breast cancer xenografts and explain its underlying mechanisms. A total of 20 xenografted nude mice were randomly divided into four groups: a group treated with US plus MBs (the US + MBs group), a group treated with US alone (the US group), a group treated with MBs alone (the MBs group), and a control group. In different groups, mice were treated with different US and injection regimens on an alternate day, three times in total. Histological changes, apoptosis of cells, microvascular changes, and the apoptosis index (AI) and microvascular density (MVD) of the breast cancer xenograft were analyzed after the mice were sacrificed. Results indicated that the tumor volume in the US + MBs group was smaller than that in the other three groups ( p < 0.001 for all). The rate of tumor growth inhibition in the US + MBs group was significantly higher than that in the US and MBs groups ( p < 0.001 for both). There were no significant differences in histological changes among the four groups. However, the AI was higher in the US + MBs group than that in the other three groups while the MVD was lower ( p < 0.001 for all). All in all, low-frequency US combined with MBs can effectively slow down the growth of breast cancer in nude mice. In summary, low-frequency US combined with MBs has a significant effect on breast cancer treatment.
