The aberrant arteries of the lung are very rare abnormalities. It is included in the type 1 sequestration group when it is a single finding without other sequestration features. Sequestrations account for <1% of all lung malformations. Type 1 is the least common form in this group. In 75% of these cases, the aberrant artery (AA) originates from the thoracic aorta. AA originating from the celiac plexus is very rare. Moreover, even if it originates from an abdominal vascular, AA is extended left lower lobe of the lung or the right middle lobe. Our case is atypical with its azygoesophageal recess (AOR) localization. The AOR is a special region that forms the mediobasal segment of the right lung. After the pandemic, this region has been expressed as one of the areas where COVID-19 infection shows affinity. The reason for this condition has not been definitively clarified yet. Therefore, the anatomical details of this segment need to be more probed. Furthermore, the radiological multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) appearance of our case is in the differential diagnosis, with Scimitar syndrome and, as far as we know, this differential diagnosis detail has not been mentioned so far. MDCT plays an important role in the diagnosis and planning of definitive treatment by determining the origin and course of the AA. Definitive treatment may be surgery (lobectomy or segmentectomy) or endovascular. The case of a 62-year-old patient with a lung AA is presented accompanied by radiological and clinical findings. Anthracosis is a type of mild pneumoconiosis secondary to harmless carbon dust deposits. Although anthracosis was previously associated with inhaled coal particles, such as coal workers' pneumoconiosis, this hypothesis was later abandoned; pathology has been associated with inhaled dust particles. Our paper is the first case report of ANCA-associated vasculitis and anthracosis coexistence. In addition, it aims to highlight that histopathologically proven anthracotic granulomatous nodules can show high FDG uptake in PET/CT contrary to expectation. We present a case of a 73-year-old male with p-ANCA-associated vasculitis and anthracotic lung nodules accompanied by radiological and clinical findings. The patient got diagnosis with p-ANCA-associated vasculitis with serological and rheumatological tests. Atypically, the clinical findings of the patient were weak (No dyspnoea, cough or additional pulmonary complaints). Nodules were present on X-ray graphics and nodules' contours were irregular on CT. On PET/CT, SUV values of the nodules were high [12 kBq/mL]. Histopathological specimens showed multiple lung granulomas including anthracosis particles. Until performing the biopsy, we could not exclude the possibility of malignancy. Conclusion: When lung involvement of vasculitis is superimposed by anthracosis, it can create granulomas with high SUV values. The relationship between anthracosis and parenchymal lung diseases is a current topic and many recently published papers are present on this subject. To the best of our knowledge, our paper is the first paper showing the relationship between parenchymal involvement of vasculitis and anthracosis in the literature. Environmental pollution and dust particles are the known reasons for anthracosis particles in the nodules. It is open to future research on whether air pollution triggers new atypical cases or not. The malignancy-related coagulation and secondary pulmonary embolism are common in sarcomas, whereas tumour embolism and pulmonary venous embolism are extremely rare. It is crucial to distinguish thromboembolism and tumour embolism in cancer patients. Physio pathologic basis of these two entities is also different. Knowing the type of embolism changes medical management since tumour embolism is unresponsive to anticoagulant or thrombolytic treatments. In especially patients with disseminated metastases, venous tumour embolism may occur by reaching tumour cells to the pulmonary venous circulation. This case is the fifth retrograde left atrial cardiac tumour embolisms in the literature. CT images and also follow-up images were descriptive. We report a case of a 59-year-old female patient who underwent amputation caused by extremity chondrosarcoma accompanied by clinical and radiological findings. She had multiple lung metastases and also had a right inferior pulmonary venous embolism. The embolism reached the left atrium via retrograde way during the three-month follow-up. HU value was 77 in the first CT, while 81 HU after three months. Pecking and vascular enlargement were also observed in CT. Echocardiography showed an appearance of iso-echogenic heterogenic. CT findings and HU values were compatible with tumour embolism in light of the echocardiographic findings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: A wide gap exists between dyslipidemia guidelines and their implementation in the real world, which is primarily attributed to physician and patient compliance. The aim of this study is to determine physician and patient adherence to dyslipidemia guidelines and various influential factors., Methods: The Evaluation of Perceptions, Knowledge, and Compliance with the Guidelines in Real Life Practice: A Survey on the Under-treatment of Hypercholesterolemia (EPHESUS) trial (ClinicalTrials.gov number NCT02608645) will be an observational, multicenter, non-interventional study. The study targets enrollment of 2000 patients from 50 locations across Turkey. All of the data will be collected in a single visit and current clinical practice will be evaluated. A cross-sectional survey of public perception and knowledge of cholesterol treatment among Turkish adults will be performed. All consecutive patients admitted to cardiology clinics who are in the secondary prevention group (coronary heart disease, peripheral artery disease, atherosclerotic cerebrovascular disease) and who are in the high-risk primary prevention group (type 2 diabetes mellitus with no prior known coronary heart disease; patients who had markedly elevated single risk factors, in particular, cholesterol >8 mmol/L [>310 mg/dL], blood pressure ≥180/110 mmHg, a calculated Systematic Coronary Risk Evaluation [SCORE] ≥5%, or <10% 10-year risk of fatal cardiovascular disease) will be included. Demographic, lifestyle, medical, and therapeutic data will be collected with a survey designed for the study., Conclusion: The EPHESUS registry will be the largest study conducted in Turkey evaluating the adherence to dyslipidemia guidelines both in secondary and high-risk primary prevention patients.
