Limits of interference with constitutionally guaranteed rights and freedoms in criminal proceedings Abstract The presented thesis deals with one of the key issues of criminal procedural law, namely the limits of interference with constitutionally guaranteed rights and freedoms in criminal proceedings. The regulations of criminal proceedings in the Czech Republic, a democratic state governed by the rule of law, must, while preserving the tools for effectively combating crime, contain such guarantees of a fair trial that the full protection of the rights and freedoms of the persons being prosecuted is ensured. In view of the increasing standard of protection of fundamental rights and freedoms on the one hand and the increasing sophistication of criminals as a result of globalisation and the rapid development of modern technology on the other, this creates an extremely difficult task for the legislator. This thesis presents a detailed analysis of the issue. Recent developments in the Czech jurisprudence made apparent certain gaps in the legislation of criminal proceedings, specifically in the area of "evidence" and in the related area of interception. This diploma thesis deals with the speech skills of reading comprehension and comparison of its implementation in selected textbooks of Czech as a foreign language at the B1 level. The analysis focuses on comparing how reading comprehension is approached in individual textbook materials - whether separate sections are set aside for this skill or not, whether reading texts are appropriate in terms of content and language of the level B1, and whether they are included in the reading texts activities before, during and after reading the text, or what form they have and what type of reading they focus on. The aim of the diploma thesis is also to find out whether the preferences of practicing only one of the types of reading do not prevail in selected textbooks, or whether the focus on practicing different types of reading according to SERR is balanced.

Diploma thesis The travelogue variations of the Czech interwar literature deals with travelouge as a specific literary genre in the interwar period of Czech literature. The first part presents an overview of variantions travelouge genre definitions as they are set out in basic literary compendia and dictionaries, and allows to divide and characterize four basic types of travelouge genre - travelouge adventurous, ideological, essayistic and poetry. The second part of the thesis is more focuses on the essayistic travelouge books of Karel Čapek and Jaroslav Durych, especially on the texts Italské listy, Anglické listy, Výlet do Španěl, Plížení Německem, Pouť do Španělska and Římská cesta. Elementary analysis is subjected to the first category - topos of the street and church/cathedral which allows to observe different poetics and ways of perceiving of two representative authors of Czech interwar literature. This thesis is dedicated to government anti-corruption struggle in the period from 1999 to present. The key objective is to evaluate which of the measures specified in the government policies were fulfilled and if they have a real impact on reducing the scope for corruption. The theoretical part explains the concept of corruption and the basis of the various typologies of this concept. Following the demarcation of motives for corrupt behavior and the costs associated with this behavior, then I allude to various ways of measuring corruption used in the Czech environment. Next chapter focuses on the definition of corruption from the perspective of criminal law whereas links to crimes with signs of corruption. In the practical part are incorporated findings from previous chapters to evaluate the government's anti-corruption policies within a specified period. The conclusion analyzes the nuanced measures which government has overlooked and also assesses the priorities of particular parts of Anti-Corruption Barometer, which are not sufficiently applied in the Czech Republic.

The principal aim of this thesis is a definition of fundamental features occur in utopia and dystopia literary genre. There are six specific features - language, time, space, topicality or present, system and order. On the basis of these elements we analyze the drama The White Disease by Karel Čapek. The main purpouse is to definite the utopian and dystopian features that are found in The White Disease. The objective of this thesis lies in analyzing the contemporary political situation in Quebec, in the light of the possibility of the Quebec secession from Canada. In the thesis four research questions were specified. The main question will assess what are the actual solutions to the current status of Quebec. This question is connected with three sub-questions. Will be held a referendum on Quebec independence? Does the eventual referendum have a chance of successful result? The last question is looking for an answer whether the territorial autonomy strengthens the integrity of Canada or rather strengthens the nationalist movements. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with the definition of the cardinal expressions and definitions of multi-ethnic coexistence issues, ethnic conflict and its solutions. The second chapter describes the transformation of the constitutional status of Canada and Quebec within Canada. The final part analyzes the nationalist movements, the success of Quebec political parties and the position of the separatist Quebec Party.
