2. Searching for QPOs in BATSE Short Gamma-ray Bursts Based on Narrowband and Broadband Features

Abstract

Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), especially short GRBs, are often considered potential candidates for exhibiting kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) due to their origin from binary mergers. It has already been discovered that two bursts exhibit QPOs. While systematic searches for QPOs in GRBs typically concentrate on the kilohertz range, there has been no comprehensive exploration in the hundred-hertz range. In this study, we systematically conducted QPO searches on all BATSE short burst data within the 0-1000 Hz range. Using nested significance tests, we observed that the reference distributions for different GRBs are quite similar. This observation prompted us to analyze the data by selectively focusing on those with larger statistical values, obviating the need to iterate through all the data and significantly reducing computational workload. Ultimately, our findings did not reveal any compelling evidence for QPOs, which may suggest that the GRB jet has lost the early merging memory., Comment: 11 pages, 5 figures, 3 tables

22. N6‐methyladenosine‐mediated LINC01087 promotes lung adenocarcinoma progression by regulating miR‐514a‐3p to upregulate centrosome protein 55

Abstract

Abstract Long noncoding RNAs are key players in the development of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). The present study elucidated the role of LINC01087 in LUAD development. Cell vitality and apoptosis were assessed by the CCK‐8 assay and flow cytometry, respectively. The transwell assay was adopted to evaluate cell migration and invasion. Levels of m6A modification of LINC01087 were determined using the methylated RNA binding protein immunoprecipitation assay. The interactions among LINC01087, miR‐514a‐3p, and centrosome protein 55 (CEP55) were evaluated using dual‐luciferase reporter, RNA immunoprecipitation, and RNA–RNA pull‐down assays. LINC01087 was highly expressed in LUAD, and its downregulation restrained cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and epithelial–mesenchymal transition in vitro as well as tumor growth in a xenograft tumor model. Overexpression of miR‐514a‐3p inhibited malignant phenotypes in LUAD cells by inactivating RhoA/ROCK1 signaling via the suppression of CEP55 expression. Mechanistically, RBM15 increased the expression and mRNA stability of LINC01087 by mediating its m6A modification and LINC01087 induced CEP55 expression by sponging miR‐514a‐3p. RBM15‐induced LINC01087 upregulation accelerated LUAD progression by regulating the miR‐514a‐3p/CEP55/RhoA/ROCK1 axis, illustrating the potential of LINC01087 as a novel target for LUAD therapy.

Abstract

Abstract Immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)-induced myocarditis involves intensive immune/inflammation activation; however, its molecular basis is unclear. Here, we show that gasdermin-E (GSDME), a gasdermin family member, drives ICI-induced myocarditis. Pyroptosis mediated by GSDME, but not the canonical GSDMD, is activated in myocardial tissue of mice and cancer patients with ICI-induced myocarditis. Deficiency of GSDME in male mice alleviates ICI-induced cardiac infiltration of T cells, macrophages, and monocytes, as well as mitochondrial damage and inflammation. Restoration of GSDME expression specifically in cardiomyocytes, rather than myeloid cells, in GSDME-deficient mice reproduces ICI-induced myocarditis. Mechanistically, quantitative proteomics reveal that GSDME-dependent pyroptosis promotes cell death and mitochondrial DNA release, which in turn activates cGAS-STING signaling, triggering a robust interferon response and myocardial immune/inflammation activation. Pharmacological blockade of GSDME attenuates ICI-induced myocarditis and improves long-term survival in mice. Our findings may advance the understanding of ICI-induced myocarditis and suggest that targeting the GSDME-cGAS-STING-interferon axis may help prevent and manage ICI-associated myocarditis.

24. The Temporal Symmetrical and Translational Structure in Gamma-Ray Burst Light Curves

Abstract

Tremendous information is hidden in the light curve of a gamma-ray burst (GRB). Based on CGRO/BATSE data, Hakkila (2021) found a majority of GRBs can be characterized by a smooth, single-peaked component superposed with a temporally symmetrical residual structure, i.e., a mirror feature for the fast varying component. In this study, we conduct a similar analysis on the same data, as well as on Fermi/GBM data. We got a similar conclusion that most GRBs have this symmetrical fast varying component. Further more, we chose an alternative model to characterize the smooth component and used a three-parameter model to identify the residual, i.e., the fast component. By choosing 226 BATSE GRBs based on a few criteria, we checked the time symmetrical feature and time translational feature for the fast components and found the ratio is roughly 1:1. We propose that both features could come from the structure of the ejected shells. 25. Study on the Identification of Financial Risk Path Under the Digital Transformation of Enterprise Based on DEMATEL-ISM-MICMAC

Abstract

Digital transformation challenges financial management while reducing costs and increasing efficiency for enterprises in various countries. Identifying the transmission paths of enterprise financial risks in the context of digital transformation is an urgent problem to be solved. This paper constructs a system of influencing factors of corporate financial risks in the new era through literature research. It proposes a path identification method of financial risks in the context of the digital transformation of enterprises based on DEMATEL-ISM-MICMAC. This paper explores the intrinsic association among the influencing factors of corporate financial risks, identifies the key influencing factors, sorts out the hierarchical structure of the influencing factor system, and analyses the dependency and driving relationships among the factors in this system. The results show that: (1) The political and economic environment being not optimistic will limit the enterprise's operating ability, thus directly leading to the change of the enterprise's asset and liability structure and working capital stock. (2) The enterprise's unreasonable talent training and incentive mechanism will limit the enterprise's technological innovation ability and cause a shortage of digitally literate financial talents, which eventually leads to the vulnerability of the enterprise's financial management. This study provides a theoretical reference for enterprises to develop risk management strategies and ideas for future academic research in digital finance., Comment: 20 pages, 6 figures
