The W18O49 nanoparticles were synthesized by solvothermal method with tungsten chloride as raw material and n-propanol as solvent. Polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG-400) was modified for W18O49 nanoparticles (W18O49@PEG). The structure and morphology of W18O49 and W18O49@PEG were characterized by XRD and SEM. Methylene blue aqueous solution was used as wastewater adsorption model. And the comparative experiments with other absorbent materials, such as artificial zeolite and activated carbon were also conducted. The results revealed that after modifying by PEG-400, W18O49 has a better adsorption performance than other materials due to its large specific surface area and high surface energy. Finally adsorption circulation experiment was performed，the results indicate that the W18O49@PEG nanoparticles show great potential in the treatment of colored wastewater.

The mortality of the patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is greatly decreased by prompt revascularization. However, a substantial proportion of patients with AMI suffer from dysfunction of myocardial reperfusion, which affects long-term prognosis. Severe microvascular injury can cause intramyocardial hemorrhage (IMH), manifested as capillary endothelial cell connection damage and extravasation of erythrocytes. IMH further aggravates myocardial damage, enlarging myocardial infarct size, and provides incremental information to left ventricular remodeling and long-term major cardiovascular events. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) can achieve in vivo evaluation of IMH, using the paramagnetic effects of iron containing metabolites produced by erythrocyte lysis. Background: One of the causes of mortality among young people in modern societies is coronary heart disease (CHD). Numerous studies have demonstrated the association of major adverse cardiac events (MACEs) with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with premature CHD, but the risk factors for MACEs after PCI are poorly understood. This study investigated the risk factors for premature CHD after PCI and compared the long-term prognosis of patients with premature CHD with or without MACEs after PCI. In this paper, homocysteine was proven to be an independent risk factor for patients with early CHD. Animal studies have further demonstrated that atorvastatin inhibits homocysteine-induced inflammation, and homocysteine has preventive and therapeutic effects on patients with early CHD.Methods: A total of 1408 patients who underwent PCI were enrolled and divided into a MACE group and a non-MACE group according to the recurrence of cardiovascular events. Basic information and follow-up data of the patients were recorded, and risk factors affecting prognosis were analysed. Western blotting and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT–PCR) were used to verify that atorvastatin can inhibit the expression of NF-κB, IL-1β, IL-6, and CRP inflammatory factors induced by homocysteine, inhibiting the occurrence and development of atherosclerosis.Results: Univariate Cox proportional risk models showed that homocysteine level is one of a risk factors for recurrent MACEs. Further multivariate Cox regression analysis also suggested homocysteine is one of an independent risk factors for MACEs. The ROC curve showed that Hcy was a strong factor for predicting the occurrence of MACEs in patients with premature CHD. Atorvastatin was found to inhibit the expression of NF-κB, IL-1β, IL-6, and CRP inflammatory factors induced by homocysteine and delay the occurrence and development of reactive oxygen species.Conclusions: Homocysteineis an independent risk factor for MACEs in patients with premature CHD after PCI. Atorvastatin can effectively antagonize the expression of NF-κB, IL-1β, IL-6, CRP and other inflammatory factors induced by homocysteine.

A novel flame retardant, namely bisphenol-A bridged penta(phenoxy)cyclotriphosphazene (A-BP), was synthesized and characterized successfully. Obtained A-BP was mixed in different proportions with diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA) in order to prepare a series of flame retardant epoxy resins (EP). The differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) results indicated that the glass transition temperatures (T g ) of EPs containing A-BP had only a slight decrease in comparison to EP. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) showed that the incorporation of A-BP improves the thermal stability of EP at a high temperature. Moreover, an increase of LOI value (33.9%) was achieved for EP contained with 9 wt% of A-BP. Furthermore, such sample passed UL-94 V-0 rating. Additionally, according to the cone calorimeter tests, in the whole combustion, the EP/9% A-BP material showed lower heat release and smoke production than neat EP. To elucidate the flame retardant actions of A-BP for EP, comprehensive measurement including Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), pyrolysis gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) and TG-FTIR techniques were adopted to analyze the char layers and gaseous products. As a result, a bi-phase flame retardant mechanism was proposed showing the efficiency of inert gas dilution and quenching of existed free radicals in gaseous phase and char formation action in a condensed phase, respectively.

A novel phosphoramidate named 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol-N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl) (DPDA) was successfully synthesized and used to reduce the flammability of cotton fabrics through flame retardant finishing method. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), 1 H-, and 31 P-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) were adopted to characterize the chemical structure of DPDA. The flame retardancy and fire behavior of neat and treated cotton fabrics were evaluated by vertical burning, limiting oxygen index (LOI) and cone calorimetric tests. To further investigate the flame retardant action of DPDA for cotton, the char layers of treated and controlled cotton fabrics after combustion were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy coupled with an energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX); then the pyrolysis products released from DPDA and cotton fabric samples were characterized using thermogravimetric analysis coupled with Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (TG-FTIR). The enhanced fire retardancy for cotton fabrics by the introduction of DPDA was mainly due to the phosphorylation which promoted the formation of phosphorus-rich compact char layer and restrained release of flammable gases in the condensed and gaseous phase, respectively.

Flame-retardant water-blown rigid polyurethane foams (RPUFs) with a reactive-type phosphoramidate named diethyl-N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl) phosphoramide (DEPA) and expandable graphite (EG) were fabricated through free foaming technique. The flame retardancy and fire behaviors of RPUFs were characterized using limiting oxygen index (LOI), microscale combustion calorimeter (MCC) and cone calorimetric tests. Compared to the effects of individual flame retardant agent (DEPA or EG), the complex system (EG/DEPA) endowed RPUFs enhanced LOI values (28.8%–30.4%), higher protective char yields, lower heat release and smoke production. EG and DEPA jointly acted to remarkably inhibit the combustion intensity and smoke production through their addition or synergistic flame-retardant effects. To further validate the flame-retardant mechanism of EG/DEPA in RPUF, thermogravimetric analysis connected with Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (TG–FTIR), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) tests were conducted. These results demonstrated that DEPA decomposed potential free radical scavenger (PO ) and promoted generating more H2O and CO2 in gaseous phase. Furthermore, DEPA facilitated the formation of phosphorus-rich residue, which was combined with worm-like expanded graphite to constitute protective char layers. On the basis of these results, a bi-phase flame-retardant mechanism of EG/DEPA in RPUF was proposed.

By means of Hogarth curve theory and combined with mathematical model establishment process, equations of drawing Hogarth curve were built and the curve images were restored by mathematical software in this paper, as the evaluation standard of curve aesthetics in fashion design. In the practical application, one can compare the designed curves with the mathematical model of Hogarth curve: the higher degree of fitting, the more beautiful the curve modeling is. This method has good guidance significance in future fashion design and clothing purchase.

For numerical simulation of ship airwake by CFD, based on the use of an unstructured grid, thek-εturbulence model and SIMPLE algorithm, the characteristic features of complex fluid flows eg recirculation zones and strong vortex fields in the aircarft operating region of a generic 3D frigate model was presented. The accuracy of the predication was checked by performing calculations on different grid sizes and comparing with wind-tunnel flow visualization data. A comparison of several typical spatial discretization schemes was performed.y+values were also tested. The general features of the flow predicted in this paper compare reasonably well with experimental data. However, CFD simulation produced a higher velocity in the vicinity of vortex zone when compared to experimental data. Obvious differences exist between results by first-order upwind scheme (power law scheme) and second-order upwind scheme (QUICK scheme, third-order MUSCL scheme). Second-order upwind scheme (QUICK scheme, third-order MUSCL scheme) are recommended for the CFD simulation of ship airwakes with a modest increase in computational cost.y+values from o (10) to o (1000) can all be accepted for the CFD simulation of ships (e.g., SFS1 ) with Reynolds number 108or more.

Eucheuma is a species of red alga and one of the primary sources of carrageenan. It utilizes floridean polysaccharides as food reserves. Industry has more concerns on Eucheuma is its carrageenans, however, most of other materials in Eucheuma has gone down the drain. Eucheuma gelatinae contains a certain amount of polysaccharides, which has various biological activities. In this study, alkaline extraction of acidic polysaccharide from Eucheuma gelatinae was applied.The polysaccharide structure and monosaccharide composition were also investigated by IR and GC.

New antitumor strategies are underway and play important roles in clinical trials for combating cancer in future. Eucheuma gelatinae contains a certain amount of polysaccharides, which has various biological activities. In this study, the antitumor effect of Eucheuma gelatinae polysaccharide on murine H22 tumor bearing mice has been investigated. Histological stain, flow cytometry and other methods are applied to evaluate the effects of Eucheuma gelatinae polysaccharide on immunocompetence in vivo. The data indicates that Eucheuma gelatinae polysaccharide has antitumor effect in vivo by enhancing immunocompetence of the tumor bearers.

In this study, hawthorn fruit and blackcurrant were used as natural materials for studying processing technology of compound functional beverage. The optimal enzymolysis condition, clarification and color-preserving of this compound beverage were evaluated in order to provide basic data and scientific basis for the compound functional beverage development.

Ni 0.35 Zn 0.65 Fe 2 O 4 ferrite is prepared through combustion synthesis in the external electromagnetic field. The highest magnetic field strength for the experiment is 1.1 T. Reactions temperatures were monitored by infrared radiation thermometer, the synthesized ferrite prepared in different magnetic fields is analyzed by XRD, SEM, and VSM. The results indicate that the coercivity of ferrite gradually decrease with the increase of magnetization. When the magnetic field strength is 0.54 T, the saturation magnetization is improved up to 56.05 emu/g (42%) as compared to that of ferrite in zero magnetic field. Through SEM analysis of Ni 0.35 Zn 0.65 Fe 2 O 4 ferrite, homogeneous grains of the crystal are observed. With the increase of external magnetic field, the ferrite grain improved. This paper also systematically explores the effect of the electromagnetic field on ferrite by combustion synthesis.

Purpose. To determine the human jejunal permeabilities of compounds utilizing different transport mechanisms using a regional perfusion approach and to establish a standard procedure for determining drug permeability class to be used for the establishment of drug product bioequivalence standards.

The surfactin can inhibit proliferation and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Moreover, surfactin can induce cell death in human breast cancer MCF-7 cells through mitochondrial pathway. However, the molecular mechanism involved in this pathway remains to be elucidated. Here, the reactive oxygen species (ROS) and Ca(2+) on mitochondria permeability transition pore (MPTP) activity, and MCF-7 cell apoptosis which induced by surfactin were investigated. It is found that surfactin evoked mitochondrial ROS generation, and the surfactin-induced cell death was prevented by N-acetylcysteine (NAC, an inhibitor of ROS). An increasing cytoplasmic Ca(2+) concentration was detected in surfactin-induced MCF-7 apoptosis, which was inhibited by 1,2-bis (2-aminophenoxy) ethane-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic acid (BAPTA-AM, a chelator of calcium). In addition, the relationship between ROS generation and the increase of cytoplasm Ca(2+) was determined. The results showed that surfactin initially induced the ROS formation, leading to the MPTP opening accompanied with the collapse of mitochondrial membrane potential (ΔΨ(m)). Then the cytoplasmic Ca(2+) concentration increased in virtue of the changes of mitochondrial permeability, which was prevented by BAPTA-AM. Besides, cytochrome c (cyt c) was released from mitochondria to cytoplasm through the MPTP and activated caspase-9, eventually induced apoptosis. In summary, surfactin has notable anti-tumor effect on MCF-7 cells, however, there was no obvious cytotoxicity on normal cells.

We investigate the phthalocyanine derivative organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) using a novel para - quaterphenyl (p-4p) as the inducing layer. Compared to the devices without the p-4p inducing layer, the performances of p-type (copper phthalocyanine) and n-type (fluorinated copper phthalocyanine) OFETs with optimized thickness of p-4p thin films are greatly enhanced. Both the field-effect mobility and the on/off ratio of the two-type devices are improved by one order of magnitude compared to those of the control devices. This remarkable improvement is attributed to the introduction of p-4p, which can form a highly oriented and continuous phthalocyanine derivative film with the molecular π–π stack direction parallel to the substrate.
